Today will be the “biggest” day of protests among students in France, according to organisers.  More than 5,000 people have been arrested over the disorder so far. We get the latest on the situation with Naomi O'Leary Europe Correspondent for The Irish Times.

Whisky is to be distilled in space for the first time. This is part of an experiment which will measure how the spirit ages in the environment beyond Earth's atmosphere.  Anton got the details from Dr David Whitehouse, Astronomer and Science Writer. 
The US says it’s closely monitoring a suspected case of plague in Siberia. This comes after a laboratory worker died following an apparent illness at an anti-plague research institute. For the latest on this, Anton spoke to Lily Shanagher, Foreign Reporter for the Telegraph.
The BBC world affairs correspondent John Simpson joined Anton this morning as he celebrates 60 years of outstanding journalism.
