COMMANDERS SQUAD | Jayden Daniels Is Coming Back: Can He SAVE the Commanders’ Season?

Jayden Daniels is on track to return, and the Washington Commanders desperately need him.

After a 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in London dropped Washington to 1-3, Dan Quinn says the goal is for Daniels to have a full week of practice and start Sunday against the New York Giants. With Marcus Mariota now dealing with an MCL sprain, the Commanders’ quarterback situation has suddenly become even more urgent.

On today’s Commanders Squad, Nick Ashooh, Anthony Armstrong and David Harrison break down:

• Jayden Daniels’ expected return against the Giants and whether Washington is bringing him back at the right time
• Marcus Mariota’s MCL injury and whether the Commanders need to add another veteran quarterback
• What went wrong in the 30-13 loss to the Colts in London
• Athan Kaliakmanis getting his first extended NFL action
• Terry McLaurin’s hamstring situation and Washington’s growing injury list
• Jaylin Lane’s season-ending ankle injury
• Sam Cosmi, Rachaad White and Nick Cross potentially returning to practice
• The surprising NFC East race with the Giants sitting at 3-1
• Why Commanders-Giants already feels like a massive game for Washington’s season

The Commanders are 1-3 and staring at a pivotal NFC East matchup. If Daniels is back under center, can he stabilize the offense and get Washington’s season moving in the right direction?
