OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Florida Gators fans are demanding answers as the defense continues to struggle, giving up big plays and struggling with discipline across SEC matchups. Despite ramped-up blitzing against South Carolina and aggressive tactics—blitzing LaNorris Sellers on nearly half of his dropbacks—the unit still found itself exposed, struggling with coverage busts and a lack of hustle.
With coverage failing and the pass rush still a work in progress, can simplifying the scheme turn things around after the bye week? Questions loom about key players like J'Vari Flowers and Dijon Johnson as Florida eyes much-needed improvement. Will a simplified approach, amplified effort, and strategic changes finally plug the holes in this “melted Swiss cheese” defense?
