OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Iowa vs. Ohio State is here, College GameDay is coming to Kinnick Stadium, and Legends & Listeners breaks down everything surrounding the biggest Hawkeye game of the season.
Chad Leistikow and Scott Dochterman look back at Iowa’s incredible 20-19 win over Michigan, including Hank Brown’s game-winning 91-yard drive, Reece Vander Zee’s walk-off touchdown catch, the emergence of Iowa’s passing game, and why the Hawkeyes may have finally found their quarterback.
The guys break down what made the Michigan win so special, where it ranks in Iowa football history, and why it could become even more important depending on how the rest of Iowa’s season unfolds.
Then it’s time for the Ohio State preview. Can Iowa slow down Jeremiah Smith and Julian Sayin? How aggressive does Kirk Ferentz need to be? Should the Hawkeyes try to shorten the game or attack Ohio State through the air? Chad and Scott discuss Iowa’s running game, the secondary, pass rush, Kinnick Stadium, College GameDay, and what the Hawkeyes need to do to stay competitive against one of the most talented teams in college football.
The guys also discuss Iowa’s recent history against Ohio State, the 2017 upset, the importance of avoiding turnovers and big plays, and why this could be a very different game than the 2022 meeting.
Plus, Chad and Scott run through the biggest Big Ten games of the week before making their Iowa-Ohio State predictions.
