Theresa Dedmon Ministries: Everybody is different, but doing it alone means that God Family can't be celebrated in your experiences. And he's really about he's really about that. So if you have a setback, God's gonna bring you a comeback like I talked about. So here's some examples. Hi, I'm Teresa Deadman and this is Kingdom Create Talks, where creativity and the supernatural collide. Each week I I sit down with powerful guests, artists, entrepreneurs, and kingdom influencers who are creating with God and releasing heaven solutions into every area of culture. Together we explore how prophetic creativity breaks fear, shame, And perfectionism so that you can live fully alive in your calling. If you're ready to unlock God's creative power within you, you're in the right place. Let's partner with the Creator and transform the world together. Well, welcome everybody. Happy Wednesday, wherever you are, around the world, the planet. So excited. Welcome back to our series. Woohoo! We are helping you to. Understand your creative identity. Welcome to Kingdom Create Talks, where we talk about the value and the essential power of the Holy Spirit moving through what we create, building up the body of Christ, transforming the world, and helping us thrive and grow. I am so excited. That you are joining me today. If you are new, let us know. We would love to know where you're from, how you heard about today, and subscribe. That helps us to grow as a community as well. So this is part four. So if you were, if you weren't with us, you can watch the previous episodes. So we what we love to do is we love to build on this topic of fulfilling your creative identity, your destiny. And if you've been with us, you know, like what we love is we love to hear about your own story, your own ⁓ journey, and how you are growing and how this is impacting you. So if you love it, let us know and let others know. So watch the previous episodes if you haven't yet. So part one was identity before assignment. That is the game changer for me, for all of us here. That means like if you don't know your identity. Then your assignment will flop. You can have a miscarriage, et cetera. So knowing who you are comes before what you do in your assignment. That's number one. Number two is decoding who God has created you to be. Who are you uniquely? What are your passions? What have you been created to do? We all are unique. There's not a snowflake that's the same. And so whatever you're called to create has this unique flavor, and we need to embrace that. Instead of perfectionism or fear of trying something and thinking that it has to be perfect or look like someone else. How many of you have ever dealt with that one? So enjoy that one if you haven't yet. Number three, last week we talked about every setback prepares you for a comeback. Now I don't know about you, but sometimes we can think that we've missed God or that somehow God has not been with us. But in that setback, we're learning, we're building muscle. We're finding out about who we are. That was one of my favorites. So today, drum roll, please. This episode is like the practical engine. Whoa, I love that. That helps to move you, knowing where you're going, how to do it, and how to speed up your destiny. So there's going to be lots of action steps. There's going to be things for you to learn today in daily declarations that help you. So I'm going to share three points that I believe will help you to gain momentum toward fulfilling your destiny. So let's pray right now. I want you just to breathe. This is your time. Breathe in, Holy Spirit, come. We just invite you to come. Whoa. And you're not too late for your purpose. Woo! You're invited in to move with the presence of God. More Holy Spirit. Just move upon them right now. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Father. Okay, you can open up your eyes, we're gonna get started. So, too often, and I don't know if this is you, but we wait for motivation, we wait, we wait for visibility or we think permission, but God calls us to move before we have full clarity or applause. Remember what happened in first Corinthians first Corinthians 13, the love chapter. And in the end, it says we see in part, we know in part. But one day we'll will fully be known. But he didn't say so, guys, don't love until you have everything that's clear. No, we love because he first loves us. We create in our destiny because that's who we're called to be, and we learn as we go. That's number three. And that's what we talked about last week. So God calls us to move. So today I'm going to give you these three concepts, these three concrete ways. To create momentum that accelerates progress. Faithful steps is number one. Sustainable systems is number two. And a courageous community is number three for alignment. So small steps, come on, take those baby steps, right? Sustainable system. What are you doing on a regular basis to grow that muscle to accelerate your destiny? And number three is who's walking with you? Because Like Adam, it's not good to be alone. Okay. I have found that out. so for each of these different concepts, you're gonna get a short biblical example, you'll get a creative action step, and that you can start this week to help and a short declaration. So you guys ready to go? Let's jump in. Okay, so point one, like we talked about, is establishing mom momentum through small, faithful steps. So David, here he is. In 1 Samuel 17 through 24, he's just a shepherd boy. I mean, he is not even seen by his dad as far as being worthy to potentially be the king. So he's he's he's out there with the sheep. He's not necessarily at the table with his brothers and his and his family, right? So he's out there, but he's cultivating small steps by what? Playing that instrument. Declaring, talking to God and taking care of the sheep. And as we know, when the lion the bear came, he was able to do what? To defend. So he's learning through these small steps to defend. And when Goliath came and he was just giving food out to his brothers, he knew exactly what to do because of the small steps that he had taken previously. And he wasn't even king, but he knew. His destiny. So he also, in that small step, thought about his destiny. Wait a second. I can't die because I'm I'm not yet king. That's the word that Samuel gave me. Remember that those prophetic words hook you. That God says, wait a second, like you're called. So don't let defeat, don't let like the enemy rob you of healing, of a prophetic destiny, because that's who you are. So keep that that. That in the forefront of your mind when you're pursuing your creative destiny. ⁓ another example is Noah. Noah was steadfast, obedient, building, even though there was great opposition, which produced deliverance for the people of God and for his family. So those small steps of obedience, even in the face of adversity or peer pressure, right, ⁓ prevented. Him from going back into a place of insecurity, but into a place of building an arc that would save the save mankind. So sometimes those small steps that you think are insignificant are leading to a great breakthrough that you might not see as cataclysmic, but it might be somebody that you're called to reach out to that will be doing some great things. Or just in your own family line. So I bless you with these small steps. ⁓ Luke talks about this in Matt and and this is the the parable of the talents. ⁓ and this is amazing. You can find that in Matthew 25. That small step of obedience, of taking that talent and pursuing it every day, led to an increase. Whereas the one man who just buried his talent because he thought that the master he was fearful of the master ⁓ that that was he that was taken from him so the more that you activate and you take risks the more that that wonderful gift in your destiny will grow so here are some creative steps that you could take now these are just ideas these are not like set in stone Pick the one that you feel resonates with you and you can make your own up as well. So the first action step could be a microhabit sprint. Woo! Pick one 10-minute daily practice that aligns with your calling. It could be you writing, it could be you journaling. It could be you praying for a breakthrough. It could be ⁓ networking with others. And track it for 21 days. So, what one micro habit could you do to move forward into your creative destiny? David played, and that led him to deliver Saul from a demon. Like, think about the things that you're called to and do a 21-day sprint and ask God to show you. You could be creating in a certain area for 21 days, but make it small. Make it a small step of five to ten minutes a day. I have five to ten minutes a day. Who has five to ten minutes a day? All right. So ask the Holy Spirit to give you direction there. Here's another one. This is a margin move. Okay. So a margin moves map. So list three low effort tasks you can do this week that advance your vision and schedule them into existing routines. So this is like you're looking at your life. What what task could you do ⁓ on a regular basis, a weekly basis, to help get that vision? My vision is to be an artist. So what could I do today to grow in that? What could well I could I could look at five different YouTube ⁓ presentations of people that have become artists just this, you know, and started a practice. I could Do something to where I create in a certain style for 10 minutes, whatever it is, or if it's food, the prep for the food and invite me over, whatever that is. Think about ⁓ a map, a micro move map that you could start to do a task to do something. So not a habit, but a task. The third one is ⁓ is get into a group. Like we have our KCM Kingdom Creative Movement membership. Or we're doing book clubs, where we're doing prophetic lives, where we have a Facebook KCM page where you can list, hey, I'm doing this. So Check it those out on TeresaDebon.com/slash community and the informational meeting. ⁓ yeah, so the reason why I'm I'm sharing about this is because I have seen every person who has intentionally come to this in the past six years grow. And I am not kidding from every walk of life. And boy, if you want to come into our Thrive Life. Academy and you go, Teresa, I don't even have the money for membership. Tell us what you can afford at support at TeresaDebman.com. We want everybody who wants to to be there. Okay, so the declaration now for point one. Let me get back to our amazing, amazing like three points here. Is I t so the declaration would be I take faithful small steps now, and momentum builds my path with Jesus. So I take faithful small steps daily to build momentum toward my destiny with Jesus. Just say that every day. Pop that in there. You know, I'm taking these small steps and you're walking into something that's going to change your life. And it takes those small steps to get to where you need to go. I know for me, when I was first given this task of being the creative arts director in 2003 at Buffalo Church. There was no pred there was no there wasn't anyone who had a predecessor that I had. I had to literally create this. That's right. I am a part. I am a pioneer. And what I did is I would test it out. Okay, let's do art in worship. Let's try it out. Okay, well, let's prophesy after this, after the worship time and share about what happened with the art and let's see who it touches. Let's So I began this process of teaching and training. That's why in the Leadership Academy, you get all of the juices of all my years of leading. ⁓ I've led churches before as well. So there's a lot of stuff that you'll get in that leadership academy that I believe will be a game changer. So check out the discounts on TeresaDevon.com. So that's why this is important to me to share that information. Okay, we're gonna move on to point two. Point two. Create strategic systems, not just motivation. Okay, it's one thing. Yeah, I'm gonna change the world. I'm gonna be a whatever. I'm gonna do this for God, whatever it is that you want to do. Start a business in culinary, whatever it is. But that motivation will only get you so far because then what's gonna come in is man, I don't know if I should do that. All the should have, the could have, the finances, those things, they they grab a hold of that. motivation and they just shrink it down. And so what we need to do is have systems. Now systems are ways that we can plan out so that we can make room for what we can do because of wisdom and because of the way that the Holy Spirit works. Let me give you some examples scripturally. So we have Nehemiah and you could study this in Nehemiah 2 verses 6 chapters. But here he he has this task he's rebuilding the walls. And he has to organize. I mean, he can't take a he can't take whatever they had back there and create on his own. So we had to organize. He had to have a plan. He had to have teams. He had to have shifts. He had to have oversight in the rebuild, Jerusalem's walls under pressure. He had to have leadership skills to build where he was going. He had to have a system in place, which is what I teach in the Leadership Academy. ⁓ you look at Moses and Jethro and Jethro's counsel to Moses in Exodus 18. He had all of these people that he was overseeing, and he from from sunrise to midnight, he would be Moses would be out there trying to counsel people and figure out how they could grow. So imagine one man, a million people. How's that working out for you, Moses? ⁓ So Jethro, his father in law, looks at this and he goes, Boy, you need some help. And so what does he do? He delegate he instigates a delegation process to go, hey, let's let's couple them in groups of fifty. Let's get the right person, a leader, like we talked about, that will help them grow so that you avoid burnout and that you sustain growth. And it worked. And it still works. Leadership is so vital and delegation is so vital if you want to grow in any way, shape, or form. That's why I believe that this leadership academy, even whatever dream you have, knowing how to delegate, how to build teams is super important for where you're headed in life, period. And knowing how to manage yourself. So in the leadership academy, you learn how do I manage myself? How do I manage my call from God? How do I manage other people? And you'll learn a lot. The third ⁓ biblical example for point number two, building systems, is Paul's missionary patterns in Acts 13 through 19 in 1 Corinthians. He repeated systems of planting churches, mentoring leaders, and revisiting communities. So he had a pattern: planting churches, mentoring leaders, and revisiting communities. He had something that was working because he wanted to see Philippi. Thessalon ⁓ Thessalonica Ephesus. He wanted to see these plants grow, and so he had to have a system. That's why in many of those books you hear him say, Hey, let's send this person over there. Hey, let's send Timothy over there. Because he also had raised up leaders that he could send different places, which is what I do in my leadership academy. So that's all very vital to build these systems in place. So that's point number two. ⁓ a creative action step. Now these are just ideas, like I said before with the last point. You can build a 60-day operating rhythm and set weekly focus areas, recurring blocks for creation, outreach, and rest. So you could create, okay, and then you could give away your creativity and you could bless people. And you could rest on certain days. So you could build up a whole system of Okay, I want to grow in being a a creative like entrepreneur. I want to be a creative, whatever. And then you create systems that help you. For me, you know, I'm designing a book right now for children and illustrating it. And I just gave my script to my coach. Now she looked at it and she goes, Teresa, there's way too many words. And I'm sitting there going, Okay, I took about I don't know, twenty hours to write this out, right? And then I was looking at children's books and sure enough, like I probably have to take out probably 80% of my words. Now, the system that I have in place right now is to look up different children's books with with pictures in it. And to like look at how they've designed it, decide on my picture format, what I'm doing as far as ⁓ the layout the words and yes I'm going to be busy cutting words now why is this humorously funny? Because in my way of thinking and some people out there know me I can be very verbose. That means I can really like have lots of information instead of being very succinct, which is like to the point. So for me, I have to take The system that I've had, and I have to say, Teresa, I'm redesigning the way that I'm going to build this book, not based upon my own inclination, all right, but based upon coaching, based upon wisdom, based upon a child that is young reading it, based upon the picture telling the story more than the the text. And that is a problem that I want to solve because I have a motivation to touch children. So I have to build a system in place to see this dream fulfilled. And hopefully I'll be talking about when that is getting published, etc. But it might take two months, it might take three months. So your dream might take a while. I mean, but that's okay because you're looking at why you're doing so that vision. What it does in Proverbs 29 verse 18, it actually gives it gives purpose to your pain. Woohoo! ⁓ All right, so it's very important to have that vision so that you can build a creative system to get to where you need to go. So a daily declaration that you could say, ⁓ here's a couple more that you could do. So let me give you a couple more idea action steps. ⁓ delegate one reoccurring task this month. Train someone briefly and free time for inner impact for more to do. So that's what I did with my book clubs. My book clubs on ⁓ my teams are doing that for me so that I have time to write this book and delete, delete, delete, and to touch more people that way and to go on vacation and to whatever. So those are things that you have to do. So maybe you could delegate something to make more time. And Again, these are things that you could do to grow where you're headed. So just be thinking through how you could nurture your systems. What's one thing you could do on social media to share about what you're creating? That could be another action point that you could do in your vision for that restaurant or for whatever it is that you're you want to create. So here's a daily declaration you can do for point number two. I build kingdom systems. Remember the kingdom I build, I don't want to build according to just what I see in the world, but a kingdom system from God's perspective that carries my calling and will accelerate my design. So again, you're building something in this daily declaration that says, I am gonna have a kingdom mindset. So for me, that's huge because I could look at a an earthly mindset and go, ⁓ the vision that I have to write this book, ⁓ it's too overwhelming. I worked it out here. But I'm not, I'm looking for heaven's downloads for me to write this book. I do daily declarations about this book every single day because I want it to reflect my relationship with God, not because I I work out of rest, not out of striving. So I have to have an activation point When the enemy comes in and says, Teresa, you're never gonna get that done in my head. And I go, That's not Jesus. I can do all things through Christ. So having a kingdom ⁓ set at system is gonna help you to thrive and grow. So is it creating rest? Is it creating peace or is it creating striving? So make a systems kingdom mindset check in that declar and that declaration. Okay, let's move on to point three. You guys excited? You guys are doing so great. Thanks for thanks for like being here the whole time. I have a special prophetic word for you guys for staying on too. And that the third point is move courageously into community and kingdom alignment. Now, I know that a lot of you out there, you might be carrying this dream and potentially it's like you and God. That's it. But that's not God because God wants us to share. He wants us to have community that supports whatever it is that we're doing. The disciples, he didn't say to each disciple, okay, you Philip, yeah. Don't ever talk to any of the disciples. You're on your own. No, he he to he had them go out two by two. He wanted there to be a community support for the disciples so that they could be doing the work. Together, Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12. The celebration of that is huge. How beautiful it is when brothers dwell together in unity and sisters. That's Psalm 133. So we have to have a kingdom alignment to the fact that God wants us in community. Now I know that many of you might have been hurt by the church or by other people, and so you've you've Done stuff, you've been a loner. And a lot of creatives can be more introverted than extroverted. Everybody is different, but doing it alone means that God, God's family can't be celebrated in your experiences. And he's really about he's really about that. So if you have a setback, God's gonna bring you a comeback, like I talked about. So here's some examples biblically of building community and the kingdom alignments. ⁓ so really growing in that. So here's Ruth and Naomi. I love this. This is Ruth 1 through 4. So Ruth what is lost her husband. Naomi lost her sons and her husband. So that's pretty devastating, especially in the Jewish culture back then, because women couldn't own anything. Okay, so you're you're pretty well messed up. Okay, so in that culture, what did Naomi do? Naomi was gone back home. So she goes, Yeah, I'm I'm leaving. And Ruth said, ⁓ I'm going with you. And and like Naomi goes, No, no, no, no. You go back to your family. Goes, and she said, No, wherever you go, I go. And she she joined this alignment to to her mother in law. And and so Ruth went, and then what happened to Ruth? She was just gleaning in the fields because they needed food. And Boaz, she was glean, she was gleaning. That means like in those times there would be crops, and whatever is left over, they would just leave for people that didn't that were poor. And so gleaning means that she got some of that extra produce, whatever it was, grain that was left ⁓ in that Jewish culture. So Boaz notices her. I kind of like that girl over there. And so he says, I want you to leave her alone and let her glean as much as she can. So right away, that that that kingdom alignment was happening. And then he married her, as we know, and the and Ruth is a part of Jesus' lineage, which is so amazing. So here we have this community moving courageously, moves into this community, supports her mother-in-law, and bam, she's giving She's given everything, which I think is just the Lord. And what happens is Ruth it not only is a blessing to Naomi, but then Naomi is joyful because then she gets ⁓ not only Boaz, but she gets to be a grandmother. She gets to grow in that in the culture that was there, the Jewish culture of celebrating the lineage of family, which I love. So isn't that cool? So Maybe God has a calling on your life. And you need to let go of disappointment and grow in community and let people in to support you. That's why KCM, our Kingdom Creative Movement, you come in there and you're going to feel so loved and accepted. Jacqueline, there's testimonies in there about Jacqueline's life, others that will help you grow. And then ⁓ the early church, Acts 2, verses 42 to 47, what did they do? They broke bread together. They they celebrated biblical understanding. They they talked about the teachings of Christ. They they were and then they said that their number was added because they were creative in their food prep and in inviting people over. ⁓ and so that Practical partnership propelled the mission growth that that brought people into the kingdom of God. That is incredible. So community is meant to expand. So whatever your heart is, whatever your dream is, it's meant to bless other people. Another example is Esther in Esther four through five. bold movement. She like here she is, like she's just brought in because of Mordecai, her uncle, and then She's at this point where she realizes the treachery of this man, Haman, who wants to destroy all of the Jews because he's so jealous of of Mordecai. And immediately she gets wind of this and she has this huge calling and she talks to Mordecai. She's in community. And what happens? All of Israel prays because they would be annihilated unless Esther was in that. place of going before the king and wanting to see breakthrough happen, which is exactly why we, the Jewish culture, celebrates Esther, and so do we. And so these steps toward growing in creativity in community are so huge. So here's some action steps that you can take. Number one, here's a kingdom connection challenge. Guys ready drum roll please. Woo Reach out to somebody just like just like Ruth did to Naomi and serve their vision. Reach out, bless them. It could be even a peer this week and tell them what they're doing and how you love them. So that's one. Reach out to community. Another step would be to like ⁓ join the KCM membership. Like join for a month and find out your people. and get involved and share your vision, your dream. And you're gonna see so much support around who you are. It's gonna blow you away. So join a creative community that already gets you, that wants to see you thrive and grow. And that makes it easy. And the third thing is to volunteer somewhere to help somebody. I'm I just have a call to a lady who heads up, ⁓ it's like a pro-life movement. And she's just at a clinic and she wants me to teach Create to Be Free, one of my art and healing ⁓ courses, which you get for free on Kingdom Creative membership. And she goes, Teresa, can we do that? Absolutely. So find a place that that you can serve and you can bless and you can be in communion with. Give away your creativity in church or in different places, but don't keep it to yourself. Can I get an amen? So, so here's a daily declaration that you could have, or a declaration that you could move, ⁓ say I move through a kingdom creative movement to transform others around. And so you're moving, you're moving toward transforming, you're moving toward doing that. ⁓ this is all part of that beautiful thing of of doing these declarations, of asking God for whatever it is in these amazing points and move with faith, form great systems, and join community. And when you do that, your destiny will be accelerated exponentially. And you're gonna think me. You're gonna go, Teresa, I want that podcast to go viral. I see, please. Let it let it do that because it's meant to. You're meant to change the world. You're meant to transform people. So ⁓ so adapt any of these to 12 to 15 minute, like you know, do something, like begin that process of just in a in just a very short time creating stuff that will change people's lives. So establish momentum through small faithful steps. Again, grow in taking those systems and creating something through. Daily declarations or regular times of creating. Number three, join a creative community around you that can support you and then volunteer, help out with others. ⁓ Jesus taught faithfulness and the little things, right? He did. Jesus taught this in such a profound way with the loaves and the fish. Jesus taught us to steward our giftings, like in Matthew 25 with the parable of the talents. Jesus taught us to build community, to not let go of that community, to keep that fresh. And so this is my heart for you right now is that you are called to be a change, a changer of culture. You're called to to see that the the place of greatest anointing flow from you because you are connected. And your vision about who you are is going to change the world. So in closing. Move with faith in those small steps. Look to Jesus to help you with that. Form systems that are kingdom that sustains where you want to go. Join a kingdom creative movement of community around you to advance your purpose so that others can grow through you and support you in that journey. And that will accelerate your destiny. So I hope that you have enjoyed. I am gonna give you a prophetic word. Thank you so much for joining and being a part of the series. I am so excited to see what God's gonna do through you. And my KCM family is so excited to meet you if that's your choice as well. Don't forget our KCM triple10, that code that will get you into joining for just like through three months, only paying 10 bucks per month is a steal. So that's also in the chat, but I'm gonna prophesy over you because I felt like the Lord is is doing something for you. And if you are just tuning in and you don't have your your phone or your or your ⁓ computer on the video, this is a picture of a peacock that I drew. And it's got these green, it's got a green, ⁓ like it's almost like a effervescent color of of just before the the all the feathers go out and then it's got this blue neck and of course it's got the crown on its head and what I want you to know is like God has created you to unfurl your feathers he's created you to be seen and when you look at peacocks a lot of times their feathers are all underneath them Or they're kind of dragging, but when they fluff them all out in a round, you just feel this glory come and you just want to grab. Can I just have one of your feathers with the eye? It looks like eyes, right? And and I feel like you need to know like God has called you to be like the peacock, to be beautiful, to be vibrant. And these little ⁓ all of these feathers with the eyes on that, those beautiful aqua green, emerald colors. He's called you to stand out. He's called you to have many dreams that will be fulfilled and to touch many people. And so I just pray for you right now that you would start to feel the presence of God come and that you would know that you are called wherever you are around the planet to be seen, to be loved, to be heard, to be valued, and that God has a huge plan on your life. And I just release God's presence, ha ha ha, to touch you, to just fill you up with his joy, to know that Psalm 139 is true and that you are going to change the world. So I bless you in the name of Jesus. He's so proud of you. He loves you so much. So if this touched you, thanks again for listening to the end. Discovering God's Creative Destiny for Your Life
Part 4: Creating Momentum Towards Fulfilling Your Destiny
Have you ever wondered how to keep moving forward when the journey feels slow?
In this episode, I’m sharing how to build momentum, remain faithful in the process, and take practical steps toward the destiny God has prepared for you. Growth rarely happens all at once, it’s cultivated through daily obedience, intentional choices, and one faithful "yes" at a time.
As we continue this series, I pray you’ll be encouraged to trust God’s timing, embrace the process, and keep moving forward with confidence in the calling He has placed on your life.
