OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
How do you stay connected to yourself when the pressure is real and mistakes are visible to everyone? In this episode of Inner Light, host Swati talks with international Grand Prix dressage rider and executive coach Silvia Rizzo about staying present, building a clear inner structure, and making decisions in seconds without letting emotion take over.
Silvia shares how three decades of high stakes sport shaped a mindset built on values rather than habits, and why separating what you feel from the facts in front of you is the real work of staying grounded. This conversation offers a practical, no fluff way to think about presence, boundaries, and coming back to yourself after a setback.
About the Guest:Silvia Rizzo is an international professional dressage rider who has spent decades making high stakes decisions in high pressure sport environments. She also runs her own company, Hof Marabunta, working with high end fashion and sport brands, and works as an executive coach helping people make clear decisions under uncertainty and pressure.
Key Takeaways:- Presence is not optional under pressure. Staying focused on what is in front of you, rather than splitting attention between two things, is what keeps decisions clear.
- Separate how you feel from the facts. Letting emotion take the wheel is what destabilises clear thinking and clear communication.
- Build your inner structure before the crisis, not during it. Your values and boundaries need to be defined ahead of the moment that tests them.
- Overthinking fills silence with imagination, not facts. Notice when your mind is filling a gap with assumptions rather than reality.
- Mistakes are information, not identity. Analyse what happened, take what you can learn, and avoid repeating the same reaction twice.
- Reconnecting with yourself after drifting away is not a failure. It is simply another chance to turn back inward.
