OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Alex Murdaugh's defense says DNA on Maggie Murdaugh's phone means she wasn't the last person to handle it, and a judge just let them test it. Eric Faddis joins me to break down what that could mean for the April 2027 retrial.
Judge Debra McCaslin also blocked the defense from digging through ballistics files from other shootings, calling it a fishing expedition, but ordered the state to hand over its 3D crime-scene scans of Moselle. The defense can now build its own reconstruction.
The judge corrected Dick Harpootlian's claim that Murdaugh passed a polygraph, saying the test he took was about hiding money and he failed it.
Does the unknown DNA make you doubt the verdict from the first trial? Tell me in the chat.
