OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
From the adventures of Odysseus to the Ides of March, ancient Mediterranean history has primarily been written about men: until now! This October we’ve read The Missing Thread: A New History of the Ancient World Through the Women Who Shaped It by Daisy Dunn. Join Victoria and Katherine as they listen to the speeches of Hortensia, discuss the challenges of “Great Woman” style history and contemplate the misogynistic fear of women’s soft power that still haunts us today.
