OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
What if the life that feels right for you isn’t the one you thought you were supposed to be living?
Emma Maidment knows what it looks like to step away from the expected path. After leaving a thriving corporate career in public relations, she built a life centred around wellness, purpose and helping others find their own version of flow.
Emma is an internationally renowned meditation and yoga teacher, speaker, coach and the author of Find Your Flow. She is also the co-founder of Flow States Collective and host of The Flow Lane podcast.
In this conversation, Erin and Emma explore the pressure so many women feel to have everything figured out, the identity shifts that come with motherhood, and what it really means to stop living by all the things you think you “should” be doing.
It’s a conversation about confidence, authenticity, boundaries, nervous system regulation and learning to trust yourself enough to build a life that actually feels like yours.
In this episode she shares:
- Why finding your flow starts with knowing who you are and making decisions that actually align with that.
- Simple ways to regulate your nervous system when meditation or taking time out just isn’t realistic.
- How to stop living by all the things you think you “should” be doing and work out what you actually want.
- Why motherhood isn’t about finding your old self again, but learning to embrace and build the new version of you.
- The underlying belief Emma sees holding so many women back and why you don’t need to know everything to have something valuable to offer.
- Why confidence comes from taking action, not waiting until you finally feel ready.
- How to rethink self-care so it’s less about adding another thing to your schedule and more about knowing and protecting your boundaries.
- Why you can’t simply think or manifest your way into a different life without taking the actions to get there.
