OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Join host Josh Cecil, co-host Tyler Mechem and Producer Chris for season one, episode 16 of the HamCo Live Hot Ticket podcast, part of the Get In podcast network.
This week, special guest Oliver Thibideau joins the show to discuss opening Ctyzn Records in Carmel, Indiana, at just 18 years old. Thibideau shares his journey of building a local vinyl record store, tracking down vintage classic rock albums and hosting live music shows for local bands like Mystik. The hosts recap their Father's Day weekends, featuring trips to Kings Island and a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field.
Josh also shares his theory on government alien disclosure following a trip to the movies. The group discusses the rise of bootleg vinyl records on the internet and recounts the famous 1979 Disco Demolition Night at Comiskey Park.
During the weekly top five segment, the group debates the best bike riding songs. Their finalized playlist features tracks by the Misfits, The Cool Kids, Cake, Wax and Matt the Electrician. The hosts also discuss their favorite iconic album covers, including art from Green Day, Bruce Springsteen and Bell Witch.
Listeners can test their music knowledge with a vinyl record trivia question, brought to you by Rudy's Recycle Shop in Cicero. The crew also announces the upcoming TradeUp music festival on Sept. 19 at the Riverview Health Arena at Innovation Mile in Noblesville, which will support the skilled trades industry.
