OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Women are doing so much already and sometimes, it’s okay to take a pause, pace down and stop showing up for every cause, fight and expectation placed on your shoulders.
That permission to rest, breathe and choose yourself is what Sucharita Tyagi wants every woman to hear.
A film critic, storyteller, and one of the most unapologetic voices in cinema, she moved to New York and started from scratch.
Today, she's writing cold emails and doing the unglamorous work that no one sees. She feels like quitting every single day but she doesn't because showing up, even when it's hard, is how she stays true to herself.
In our conversation with her, we deep dived into:
- What it actually costs to have an opinion
- Why she refuses to justify talking about women
- The privilege gap that shapes women's choices but rarely gets acknowledged
- Why women don't need more obligations
Our 1st episode of the new season of Discover Your SecondAct Podcast urges you to show up for yourself first and take care of yourself because Second Acts are always designed for you.
