OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
This week, we chatted to Dave Vincent, Chief Digital Officer Tourism Northern Ireland. We're keen to learn more about their mission to build the value of tourism in the local economy and how technology plays a part in this. We talk about the success story of tourism in Iceland (having grown considerably in economic significance in the past 15 years) and how Ireland has mirrored this with their successes using emerging technologies such as AR & VR.
We ask Dave what the main challenges are within Tourism Northern Ireland and which technologies are helping to combat these challenges as well as which tech is currently falling short. We ask all of our guests which resources they use to enhance their digital transformation knowledge. Daves' top picks are WIRED, Gartner and Forrester as well as events such as Digital Tourism Think Tank.
