OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Host Maria Birch-Morunga sits down with African-Australian actor and filmmaker Esther Fwati, the creative force behind the hit web series "No Ordinary Love." Esther shares her journey in producing a K-Drama inspired romantic comedy that not only entertains but also champions diversity and representation in the lead characters but also behind the camera. They delve into the challenges of breaking stereotypes, the strength in third culture identities, and the importance of seeing oneself reflected on screen. Esther also provides insights into her creative process, from the initial idea to marketing the series, and her aspirations for the future of inclusive storytelling in Australia.
Creative Conversations with Colour Box Studio was recorded in front of a live audience at The Channel, Arts Centre Melbourne, Naarm, 2024.
