OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
Welcome to Beyond Borders, a premium podcast series presented by the AP Globale channel, exploring the forces shaping the future world order.
In this premier episode of our BRICS Conversations series, we feature an exclusive, candid interview with His Excellency Alexander, Consul General of Belarus in Mumbai, to take a rare look into Eastern European diplomacy, global trade, and unexpected cultural ties.
While Belarus is often a "hidden gem" to the average Indian traveler, the two nations share a deeply rooted 35-year diplomatic history. From a surprising "Bangalore Square" in the heart of Minsk to an enduring obsession with vintage Bollywood cinema (like Seeta Aur Geeta and Disco Dancer), this 25-minute conversation bridges the gap between raw geopolitics and shared human values.
The Consul General also breaks down the economic engine of Belarus - from manufacturing the world’s largest Guinness-record dump trucks to securing critical potash fertilizer supplies for Indian agriculture - while tackling the realities of Western sanctions, logistics barriers, and the shift toward an increasingly multipolar world.
🎙️ Topics Covered:
- India–Belarus Relations: 35 years of diplomacy and moving beyond central governments to state-level partnerships.
- Geopolitics & Sanctions: Navigating logistics barriers and Eastern European trade dynamics in a changing global order.
