OVER DEZE AFLEVERING
VAR Is Broken! 🤬 Offside Controversy, Champions League Format & The GOAT Debate | RVM 213
💬 "If you bring in technology with the ability to draw lines and rewind, you’ve got to get it right. What I saw at Old Trafford was an absolute problem!"
Welcome back to the Roger Van Moorinho Show (RVM 213) on Affinity Xtra! Host Roger Moore sits down with resident co-host Marx for an unfiltered, heavyweight football session breaking down European nights, domestic drama, and classic football nostalgia.
The lads kick off with a thorough analysis of the new Champions League format—is playing eight different clubs across an open table genuinely better than the traditional group stages? They break down key UCL results, from Liverpool scraping past Atlético Madrid and Arsenal’s clinical defensive display against Napoli, to Real Madrid, Sporting, and Bayern Munich flexing their muscle.
Then, things get heated over the state of Premier League officiating. The duo dives deep into the latest VAR offside nightmare at Old Trafford, questioning referee accountability and whether human error was actually easier to accept. Plus, they examine Tottenham’s £300M slump, Lampard's battle at Coventry, Chelsea's attack-versus-defence dilemma, LeBron's move to the Sixers, and why modern fans disrespecting legends like Batistuta, Bergkamp, and Kaka need a serious history lesson!
