How to fix it?
OM DENNE EPISODE
"What you need to do is write the truth, as much of the truth as you can."
Put aside concerns about if you will find a publisher, if it will be safe to publish it. But until then, you need to write as much of the truth as you possibly can. What your job is to give this gift to yourself of giving yourself space to write the thing in you that you have it in yourself to write.

ANDRE EPISODE I DENNE PODKAST
Most writers think that the book is boring in the middle, when the characters are fumbling around trying to get to their goals at the end. This is a huge mistake. Readers LOVE the problems in getting to the end. Don't try to get there too quickly!
This episode is about leveling up in your writing, about moving past questions of skill and to the question of actual personal depth and daring enough to put that depth of humanity into your work.
You learn to trust yourself by failing. I know. It sounds crazy, but it's true. I failed by writing 20 bad novels in my early years, until #21 was pretty good--and sold. That old adage about writing a million bad words is often true. I probably had to write 2 or 3 million bad words.
Are you struggling to know what to write? Have you tried slowing down? Have you tried not pushing your brain to work on a certain project? If you need to reinvent yourself, you may first need to give yourself space to let go.
