Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to The Upside with Jordan, a dose of good news because it's a big world out there. It's always an accomplishment when someone finishes the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, which happened just a few days ago. But in one particular case, it's more than just completing a race. It's defying the odds. I'm referring to a 17-year-old boy named Wyatt Anderson, who ran and successfully completed the marathon. What makes this story so inspiring is that just about a year ago, while playing basketball, this young guy suffered a spinal cord injury. And yes, he was paralyzed from the neck down. But that was far from the end of his story. He underwent spinal fusion surgery, wondering if he would ever walk again. While in rehab, he heard the story of a man who completed 50 marathons in 50 states while in a wheelchair. Anderson says that story inspired him to work even harder to recover. And a few days ago, 17-year-old Wyatt Anderson, along with his brother Jack, completed the Chicago Marathon. Truly a comeback story. And that's The Upside with Jordan, WBZ, Boston's news radio.
