Some episodes look at projects; this one looks at the people carrying them.
In this episode of The Building Talks Podcast, I sit down with Dan Silver, founder of SiteGuard. Dan started his career as a carpenter, spent more than 15 years in site management, and has since moved into the HSEQ space, helping construction businesses improve safety, systems and site support.
We get into the real pressure sitting on site managers, the glass ceiling many of them hit, and whether the industry is doing enough to support the people delivering projects day in, day out. Dan also shares his thoughts on psychosocial safety, burnout, construction culture and how AI and technology may help reduce workload, improve systems and create better outcomes across the industry.
