Speaker 1: Welcome in.
00:00:01
Speaker 2: And boy, oh boy, it is now Tuesday fun day here as we're losing track of just about everything on tilt powered by Hard Rock Bet on the Sport and State Network. We've got day baseball happening right now as the postseason is upon us. We're going to dive into those games right now with the Phillies and the Braves. Braves up 2-1 in the top of the seventh. Of course, we're all waiting for the White Sox and Astros. I'm kidding here. But we've got a lot of talk about here with college football, NFL week four, as we just finished up week three last night.
00:00:39
Speaker 1: But of course, you.
00:00:39
Speaker 2: Guys know the name of the show is on tilt, which means one of us is absolutely on tilt. And I think I'm going to take this one here today. Because anybody that has ever worked for corporate America and has been fired, this story should have you on tilt. Because the Seattle Mariners fired their manager, Dan Wilson, on Sunday prior to the start of their last game of the season. Now, let's start there. Imagine your boss firing you at 9 a.m. and then asking you to finish your shift and lock up on the way out. Because Wilson was able to address the team prior to the game. Team went out and they won the game against the Angels, game number 162. Now, the firing of Dan Wilson isn't the issue here. It's the fact that they allowed him to go to the microphone on the podium after the Mariners won that game to deliver the news himself. Now, most teams that I have ever seen put out a press release and normally the general manager does the firing and the manager gets to disappear. It's one of the perks of being fired, so you don't actually have to stand in front of the camera. But in Seattle, well, apparently the manager does the press conference and the GM disappears. Seattle somehow found a way to lose a game that they had actually won, because since the beginning of time, front office executives issue a press release or hold a solo news conference to announce a managerial dismissal. The manager doesn't do it himself. It's actually almost unheard of in modern professional sports. And this is a guy, by the way, who led the Seattle Mariners to win a game of the World Series just a year ago. The Mariners have now gone close to a half a century without a World Series. And yet they still found a way to do something nobody else has ever done in professional sports. GM Jerry DePoto finally released the statement 24 hours after Dan Wilson was allowed to go in front of the camera and pour his soul out in front of it, saying at everyone that he was fired.
00:02:53
Speaker 1: Now, Jerry says the blame falls on me first. Well, really, Jerry?
00:02:57
Speaker 2: Then why did Dan have to speak first? Fans online called it gutless. They called it classless. Those are the Mariners fans. Didn't know you had that many of them, actually. But credit to Dan Wilson. He got fired. He told his team. He went out and won the game and faced the cameras alone. That is more accountability in one Sunday than the Mariners front office has had in.
00:03:21
Speaker 1: Nearly 50 years of existence.
00:03:25
Speaker 2: You don't let the guy have to go out there alone to tell the world that he's been fired.
00:03:31
Speaker 1: And Kelly called me crazy.
00:03:32
Speaker 2: Anybody that's ever been in a situation where corporate America leaves you hanging out to dry like that. I can't imagine a world where Brian Kelly has to go to the podium after being fired by LSU and being like, well, they just fired me.
00:03:48
Speaker 1: That's the end of that. In what world does this ever happen, Kelly?
00:03:52
Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever seen it happen, Joe. I mean, there's times where you're forced to resign and then you have to go out there and do a press conference. But it like at least gives you some humility like, oh, these I'm leaving on my own terms. This is my choice. However, it's probably not. But yeah, I watched this clip and I was so confused. And then I saw your tweet and it made it all make sense. We all know I don't know enough about baseball, but you're right. A lot of Mariners fans in your mentions this morning.
00:04:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, Ariel, you've seen it a long time.
00:04:22
Speaker 2: You ever seen this happen like this ever before?
00:04:27
Speaker 4: Joe, what pissed me off more, forget even talking about the real world. How about Wilson being a Mariners Hall of Famer who played catcher for the team from 1994 to 2005, took over in 2024 after Scott Cerveas got fired. Now you're talking about a manager who went 187 and 171 in two plus seasons as manager. 522, the second best winning percentage in club history behind Lou Piniella.
00:04:51
Speaker 5: So you're treating a manager and a.
00:04:53
Speaker 4: Hall of Famer for your organization like actual crap No wonder the Mariners have sucked and can't make it to the World Series. When you don't feel loved by your own organization, why would anyone want to play for you?
00:05:07
Speaker 1: I've never seen it in all professional sports.
00:05:11
Speaker 2: You want to fire a guy and make a change by all means, but show a little class and do it the right way.
00:05:18
Speaker 1: The guy deserves better.
00:05:18
Speaker 5: Meanwhile, the Yankees don't know how to get rid of anybody.
00:05:21
Speaker 4: I was going to say, Aaron Aldridge is rather polar opposite.
00:05:24
Speaker 1: That's right. They hold on to him for life. And guess what?
00:05:26
Speaker 4: When the Yankees get swept or lose two out of three to the Red Sox this week, they're going to say it's because Aaron judged it in play. So we're just going to keep things the same next year.
00:05:36
Speaker 2: And I love the reports that, oh, sources say that he wanted to go out in front of the camera and tell everyone.
00:05:43
Speaker 1: Guess what? They just fired me.
00:05:45
Speaker 2: No, the sources are either the GM says it or Dan Wilson says it, and neither have said it. So sources means the PR department's going, oh boy, we might've screwed up here because everyone is bent out of shape and the outrage is there. Don't hand me that. There's a way to do things and there's a way not to do things. The way they treated Dan Wilson is the epitome of why you're in an organization that has never won anything in its existence. And quite honestly, I don't see them doing any winning anytime soon anyway.
00:06:18
Speaker 6: But.
00:06:19
Speaker 2: We did see last night the Chicago Bears do some winning and with a 38-year-old quarterback that hadn't played in over a thousand days in an NFL game. Unbelievable what we saw there last night. Now, how did we do, Kelly, with our same game?
00:06:35
Speaker 1: Oh, great.
00:06:37
Speaker 5: We, Joe, did great.
00:06:38
Speaker 3: Me and you, we did great. No, here's the thing.
00:06:43
Speaker 1: Oh, I sucked the night before. There was a lot of unknowns, right?
00:06:47
Speaker 3: I look like a genius this morning because I equated Case Keenum to Houston Case Keenum from 15 years ago or more, right? Like even my buddies that were Bears fans are like, okay, KIV, low premonition, good for you. But if you actually look at the last few games that he played in, 2023, mind you, was the last one. He was awful. His QBR was like a 21. So he went out last night. He balled out. It's what our good friend Marco D'Angelo talks about all the time in the injured player theory. It came to absolute fruition. The rest of the team stepped up. The defense stepped up. The running game stepped up. They did not put Case Keenum in bad positions. The offensive line blocked really well. It was just one of those like really nice games where I felt like from start to finish we had no sweat with the bears we had no sweat with the under unfortunately for ariel her read on saquon barkley could have not been more opposite he had a great running night even though he didn't exactly put up any touchdowns he still had a great night on the ground unfortunately he did not have a great night in the air.
00:07:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, that was– because they pretty much trailed that entire game, and I thought for sure that he was going.
00:07:58
Speaker 1: To get involved more in the passing game. But explain to me, Ariel, if you can.
00:08:04
Speaker 2: How is it that we pull these guys off the couch, 30-year-old Case Keenum– 44-year-old Phillip Rivers, who was retired, comes off, and these guys get under center, and they drop back two seconds.
00:08:18
Speaker 1: Make a read, throw the ball.
00:08:20
Speaker 2: It's shocking to me how that generation of quarterback understands that the longer I hold on to it, the worse it's going to get for me.
00:08:28
Speaker 1: Make the read, make the throw, and move on, and.
00:08:31
Speaker 2: Yet we're watching Caleb Williams night in and night out make the same stupid mistakes, hold on to the ball too long.
00:08:39
Speaker 4: Jalen Hurts did the same thing yesterday. Joe, our attention spans are getting worse and worse. I think back to these quarterbacks who watch tape, look.
00:08:47
Speaker 5: For these little things.
00:08:49
Speaker 4: I'm not in the room, so I'm not going to make drastic assumptions. I'm just going to say that I think our IQ level has started to drop a bit with a lot of these quarterbacks. They think their athleticism is going to win them football games, and that's not always the case.
00:09:04
Speaker 3: Ariel, we saw it with Arch Manning. You and I, at the UT game, we had nice, like, probably 40-yard seats. Joe, we could see the whole field. And I was on Tennessee, but I was like, Arch, you got to let go of the football. There was points in time.
00:09:18
Speaker 4: You have to see the blitz coming, and they just hold on to the football every single time.
00:09:23
Speaker 3: And so it is because guys like Arch are so athletic. Jalen Hurts, able to run that tush-push clown car scenario and to get that touchdown for you. Outside of that... He was so lackluster last night.
00:09:36
Speaker 4: And they always say Tom Brady was so great because he was able to read the defense, call the audibles that he needed to, and then the defense was all thrown off because Brady was a step ahead. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like this line of quarterbacks, a lot of them, like Mahomes obviously still does it very well, but a lot of these players, including my quarterback, Lamar Jackson, it's called, all right, instead of the audible, I'll just, I'll take it. I'll try to hold onto it. And if not, I'll make a play.
00:10:03
Speaker 5: And not everyone can do that.
00:10:04
Speaker 3: And I don't think it. also correlates near as well as it did in college to the NFL Joe and that's the problem is that in high school you are that kid you you a play explodes in front of your face and you just take over that's what we see with Avery Johnson at K-State that's exactly what we see we saw Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech where the defense did them no favor so he was forced to try to win football games himself and for the first couple years it did carry over in the NFL and And then what did we start to see? We start to see defenses start to say, no, no, no, we're not going to let him do that anymore. And outside of the refs throwing, you know, some roughing the passer calls that go the Chiefs way. Patrick has really had to not do a lot of the things that he did in his first three seasons with the Chiefs. in terms of taking over. He has had to sit back there and wait or start to throw the ball away a lot sooner. And I think that that is the difference between the Tom Brady's of the world. Actually, let's just throw out Tom Brady. Let's throw out a Peyton Manning, an Aaron Rodgers.
00:11:01
Speaker 1: Throw up Rivers. We just saw him do it. Throw up Rivers.
00:11:04
Speaker 3: Joe Flacco.
00:11:06
Speaker 4: And it doesn't mean these guys are going to be great for more than two games. We always see the first few games, these– Older quarterbacks come in and they look good for a couple of games, cover the spread. Then the defenses catch on to them too. Not saying he's in it for the long haul. Caleb Williams could be back next week for his broken, sorry, his little sprained pinky toe, whatever he did. I'm just kidding. But the turnovers yesterday were the main story. Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, they turned the ball over too much. The offensive line looks like absolute chaos.
00:11:35
Speaker 3: Crap.
00:11:35
Speaker 1: Garbage. Yeah.
00:11:36
Speaker 2: And way to go, Andy Dalton, coming in, throwing that pick in the end zone. That under was never in. As soon as that happened, I knew our under was golden. I'm like, they can't even find the end zone right now. So big win for Chicago. I hope Caleb Williams in the Unabomber outfit there. I don't know what that was he was wearing on the sideline there.
00:11:56
Speaker 3: You didn't like the bathrobe later on that I got sent by like 40 people on social media while Case Keenum is sitting there giving a victory speech. Caleb!
00:12:03
Speaker 6: Yes.
00:12:04
Speaker 2: Was it a bathrobe? Yeah, I did not understand that at all. But hopefully he recognizes that's your offense. And a dude who hadn't played in a thousand days just came out and ran it better than you. So hopefully he takes a little something away from that. But a good win for the Chicago Bears. All right, coming up, we got much more to talk about here. In fact, it's getting pretty interesting in the Heisman race, isn't it? I think we've got, well, at least four or five guys that are kind of separating when it comes down to it. Who is your Heisman hopeful through four weeks? We'll talk about that. It's On Tilt, powered by Hard Rock Bet here on the Sport and State Network.
00:12:46
Speaker 7: This year, the biggest sportsbook party is getting even bigger.
00:12:49
Speaker 2: Hey, there's J-Boy.
00:12:51
Speaker 7: I mean, whether you've been here, you're just getting here, everybody gets the same bonus bet.
00:12:56
Speaker 2: Hey, J.
00:12:57
Speaker 3: Jimmy Johnson.
00:12:58
Speaker 2: Kevin, they know me?
00:13:00
Speaker 7: Of course they know you. In this party, everybody's somebody. And everyone gets bonus bets.
00:13:06
Speaker 3: Hey, that's Fat Joe.
00:13:07
Speaker 6: Forget him.
00:13:07
Speaker 2: That's J-Boy.
00:13:08
Speaker 1: Hey, J-Boy.
00:13:09
Speaker 6: Everybody on Hard Rock Bet gets $ 100 in bonus bets. Limited time only.
00:13:13
Speaker 1: My name's J-Boy. I got that.
00:13:15
Speaker 6: I got that.
00:13:17
Speaker 4: Oh boy, I was just tagging something on X and we can get to that in a second. But it's really funny because it's all about being a perfect 10. And when you find a perfect 10, you always want to run with it. Do not mess it up. And Perfect 10 Mortgage never will mess you up because the name says it. Apply in 10 minutes, close in 10 days.
00:13:35
Speaker 5: That's it. A mortgage.
00:13:37
Speaker 3: It's simple. Fast, fair.
00:13:38
Speaker 5: 10 minutes. Start to finish.
00:13:40
Speaker 1: Right from your phone.
00:13:40
Speaker 4: No stack of paperwork. No sitting across a desk from a banker who talks down to you. Hey, maybe this guy on X would talk down to me.
00:13:47
Speaker 5: I don't know.
00:13:48
Speaker 4: Sounds like he wants to. Checking your options won't ding your credit score. You find out where you actually stand before you commit to anything. If you'd rather talk to a human, you can. Just like a date. Call and you get a real loan officer, not a phone tree. Wow, sounds great. Buying new construction? Ask them about the builder program. Builder-funded rate buy-downs that can get you a rate the bank can't print.
00:14:09
Speaker 5: Not ready to buy? That's fine.
00:14:11
Speaker 4: Date the rate, marry the house, get the house you want now, and then refinance when rates come down. Straight talk on what you actually qualify for. Built for real people, not paperwork. Well, I hope that whoever this guy is on X is a real person.
00:14:25
Speaker 5: Perfect10Mortgage. com.
00:14:27
Speaker 4: Call 855-789-1010.
00:14:30
Speaker 5: That's Perfect10Mortgage. com.
00:14:32
Speaker 4: And if you want to take me on a date, you can call that number because I don't want to give you my actual one.
00:14:41
Speaker 1: Outstanding, Ariel, as always, outstanding.
00:14:44
Speaker 2: And by the way, one real surefire way, easy way to figure out and call that bluff.
00:14:49
Speaker 1: Let me see those dugout seats.
00:14:51
Speaker 2: All right, back to on tilt here, powered by Hard Rock Bet on the Sport and State Network. Joe Ranieri, Kelly Stewart, Ariel Epstein, the perfect 10, 3-2 Phillies right now on top of the Braves. Those of you joining us live here, we're in the top of the eighth inning. This is what happens. postseason baseball is all about coming up. We'll talk about the remaining three games that are coming up your way here tonight, including the Yankees and the Red Sox. But first, some actual good news, I think, because the U.S. Senate passed that Protect College Sports Act 77 to 22. And so it's nice to see that Congress can actually agree on something, I guess. But the problem is the bill has to go to the House now, right, which is on recess until after the midterm. So you passed a bill to stop all of this chaos. And then you're handing it to the only group of people who work fewer days than a college kicker, Kelly.
00:15:51
Speaker 1: Please make this make sense.
00:15:53
Speaker 2: We're at that point now where, yay, but you and I both know what's going to happen. In two months, everyone's going to be like, what's the big deal? What are we arguing about? All right, save college sports, but do you have any faith it's going to get done?
00:16:07
Speaker 3: No, they couldn't pass the SAVE Act either that had pretty much 80% support from the United States people. We've got to primary them all, Joe. That is all I have to say about it. They drive me absolutely bananas. These guys take more vacations. They take more time off for what? They're also really old and decrepit or a bunch of perverts. The end.
00:16:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, well, they are.
00:16:32
Speaker 2: I mean, but listen, these Heisman trophies ain't going to pay for themselves.
00:16:36
Speaker 1: I'm done, Ariel. I'm done.
00:16:37
Speaker 4: I mean, the question I think was about the Save College Sports Act.
00:16:40
Speaker 1: It's all the same. It's all the same.
00:16:43
Speaker 3: It does.
00:16:44
Speaker 1: Doesn't matter.
00:16:44
Speaker 3: It's not going to get passed. We're going to sit here on our hands and wait for these people that hate us, who are supposed to work for us, who are supposed to, quote unquote, improve our well-being and pass laws such as. the Save College Sports Act, so that, you know, things can start to have a little bit of less disarray within them, right? And that, you know, so that boys.
00:17:08
Speaker 4: Well, I was laughing that Cory Booker, his whole critique on the Save College Sports Act is that the Save College Sports Act doesn't expire, but the protection for women's sports programs expires after nine years.
00:17:23
Speaker 5: He pointed out that those... Uh, and while the.
00:17:25
Speaker 4: NCAA is lawsuit protection lasts forever. And it's like, so you're like nitpicking now that in a decade that certain things aren't going to still be.
00:17:34
Speaker 5: Like, I just think it's so nitpicky.
00:17:36
Speaker 3: Okay.
00:17:36
Speaker 4: So let's figure it out in 10 years because that's when a lot of the TV rights all expire. And that's why they couldn't let a lot of this stuff go any further than 10 years.
00:17:46
Speaker 3: I guess I just I have zero faith in anything getting accomplished at any point in time. And it's absolutely discouraging. So I'm just going to bury my head in the sand. And when the Republicans lose midterms, I'm going to laugh at all of them when they all get primaried.
00:18:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, listen, it's fingers crossed.
00:18:03
Speaker 2: But the fact that we have to wait another two months to get anything and still no guarantee.
00:18:09
Speaker 1: That anything's going to happen.
00:18:09
Speaker 5: And football will be over by then, so whatever.
00:18:11
Speaker 1: Exactly my point, Aaron.
00:18:12
Speaker 3: All of us will have forgotten about all of these things.
00:18:14
Speaker 5: But it's really about the money. That's what this whole thing's about.
00:18:17
Speaker 4: It's just making sure that we can start regulating the money and NIL.
00:18:21
Speaker 1: Yes, and capping Power 4 conferences at 20 teams.
00:18:24
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:18:25
Speaker 3: Yes, but also capping college coaches at how much money.
00:18:29
Speaker 1: They can get.
00:18:30
Speaker 5: $ 5 million.
00:18:31
Speaker 3: Again, there just becomes so much. Okay, do you guys remember? Ariel doesn't. Joe might. He might be a little too old. But when I was a kid, they had all the truth.
00:18:41
Speaker 5: She just age discriminated both of us.
00:18:43
Speaker 3: You're 10 years younger than me. He's 10 years older than me.
00:18:46
Speaker 5: So you're the only one that can know this?
00:18:50
Speaker 3: No, because Joe was in high school. I was in elementary school, and you weren't born yet.
00:18:54
Speaker 6: So wouldn't he know?
00:18:55
Speaker 1: Maybe.
00:18:56
Speaker 3: So there used to be a program that was like cartoons and it would go over like government stuff. It's called Schoolhouse Rock and there was a little piece of paper. I'm just a bill.
00:19:07
Speaker 5: See, I know that one thing.
00:19:08
Speaker 3: But what he forgot to tell us was how much fluff and BS and fat and you put lipstick on a pig and say, all right, shove it down your throat and pass this bill through. It's the same thing that we've seen every single time with them. They add all this BS and And then nothing ever gets passed. And then they redline half of it. And then half of it is just sending more money overseas. That has nothing to do with actually saving college sports. That is my problem here. Like, why are we entrusting these people who cannot get anything accomplished to save college sports?
00:19:39
Speaker 5: That's the judicial system.
00:19:41
Speaker 4: Even in just the court system, things just get put off and put off and put off. My dad has court cases for like 10 years.
00:19:47
Speaker 3: It's ridiculous.
00:19:48
Speaker 2: Kicking it down the road like i said the only people who win here are the attorneys so there you got.
00:19:55
Speaker 3: It most of the house and senate are attorneys and most of them have never had real jobs because they're a bunch of nepo babies okay i'm done i'd like to change.
00:20:03
Speaker 2: This i'm just saying november we gotta wait i'm too young she's just right baby yes i lewis is right young end to old age discrimination outstanding i am calling trade uh clay travis law i'm telling you right now We'll get to.
00:20:20
Speaker 1: That in a minute.
00:20:21
Speaker 2: We'll get to that in a minute here. Shout out to those joining us in the chat room, by the way. We appreciate it. Guys, we're about 35 away from hitting 1,000 subscribers. So if you haven't done so, please do us a favor. Hit that subscribe. Hit that like button. Become part of the on-tilt craziness that you see here on Sporting States.
00:20:41
Speaker 1: All right. Somebody is winning the Heisman. The only question is who?
00:20:46
Speaker 2: So we have put together a list of what we consider to be maybe the top five candidates, I think, when it's all said and done.
00:20:56
Speaker 1: And Kelly is my top five.
00:20:58
Speaker 2: Darren Menza, Jeremiah Smith, Jaden Baugh, Trinidad Chambliss and C.J. Carr. And I like all five of these guys because all five of them have the best games, the toughest games ahead of them. If they perform like I think they will in those games, this is likely going to be your top five.
00:21:17
Speaker 1: Do you know who's not in this? Arch Manning.
00:21:20
Speaker 2: Because you just watched them. You and Ariel just watched them. Did that scream Heisman to you, Kelly, at all?
00:21:30
Speaker 3: I don't think it screamed Heisman, but we were just talking about nepotism. And guess what's going to happen? Arch is going to still be in the top three because of his last name, whether he actually deserves to be there or not. Minza had what? I think he was like in the top 10 maybe. His odds just started to drop like a rock over the last few weeks. They haven't played anybody.
00:21:52
Speaker 1: They haven't.
00:21:53
Speaker 3: And I understand that the Miami offensive coordinator just went off and was like, listen, we don't get to make our schedule. It is what it is. However, I've got to see more from Miami before I can go out giving.
00:22:03
Speaker 5: He was what, 12 to 1, 14 to 1?
00:22:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think something like that. He was definitely double digits, but he was in the top 10, top 15. And then after that Stanford game, we saw a drop. Then we saw a drop again a week later. Now we're going to find out against the Notre Dame game how that really works. I was surprised to see you have CJ Carr there, number five, Joe. I feel like I haven't heard his name all season long.
00:22:27
Speaker 2: Exactly my point. You and I both know his biggest games are coming. And right now, 963 passing yards on the season, 11 TDs. He's completing over 70%, only has one INT. But you know all the games that matter are coming. for CJ Carr. We will see if CJ Carr is going to remain on this list here over the next couple of weeks. Trinidad Chambliss, to me, is an NFL quarterback. We're going to see him playing on Sundays. This kid, no matter how bad that defense is, Ole Miss, is going to keep them in games they shouldn't be. My question, Ariel, is can Jaden Baugh or Jeremiah Smith, we're talking about a running back and a wide receiver. This is usually a quarterback award here. Those are the only two I would consider outside of the quarterback position that would even get votes. I mean, Jeremiah Smith is going to end up breaking every Ohio State receiving record known to mankind.
00:23:26
Speaker 4: I love the Jaden Baugh situation because he's had at least 100 yards and two touchdowns in five straight games dating back to last season. The issue with the running back, you can't have one bad game. You can't look like Arch Manning did against Tennessee. If you're a running back who wants to win the Heisman, then he has to keep this pace through the rest of the season.
00:23:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, receiver, born of the quarterback award. One of these five, I don't think Kamario Taylor's winning it.
00:23:55
Speaker 1: That's why I didn't put him in this top five.
00:23:57
Speaker 2: And I think you kind of saw there's still going to be some ups and downs. Keelan Russell, the quarterback at Alabama, he'll have an opportunity to show.
00:24:06
Speaker 4: He's got a tough stretch ahead, but if he looks good, Keelan Russell, Mississippi State, Georgia, Tennessee, and A & M, it's brutal.
00:24:14
Speaker 5: But if he goes three and one, I don't know.
00:24:17
Speaker 4: 77% completions, nine touchdowns over his last two games.
00:24:20
Speaker 5: You look really good there.
00:24:21
Speaker 4: Your odds definitely, if you want value, then you can.
00:24:26
Speaker 5: Try to play it that way.
00:24:27
Speaker 1: I agree. I think so.
00:24:29
Speaker 2: Who is your favorite to win the Heisman? Drop it in the chat room for us here on Tilt. Big shout out to NYC born here.
00:24:39
Speaker 1: R.G.
00:24:39
Speaker 2: Heck also here. Jarris is in the chat. You guys, a lot of new names. Appreciate you guys stopping by and hanging out with us. Coming up, we've got baseball on our minds, of course. It is the Major League Baseball postseason. 3-2 right now with somebody throwing the ball to the dugout for the Philadelphia Phillies. However, we've got three more games coming up here in the wildcard round. We're going to get thoughts on all of them out there for you. You're watching On Tilt, powered by Hard Rock Bet here on the Sport and State Network.
00:25:14
Speaker 7: This year, the biggest sportsbook party's getting even bigger.
00:25:18
Speaker 2: Hey, there's J-Boy.
00:25:19
Speaker 7: I mean, whether you've been here, you're just getting here, everybody gets the same bonus bets.
00:25:24
Speaker 2: Hey, Jay.
00:25:25
Speaker 3: Jimmy Johnson.
00:25:26
Speaker 2: Kevin. They know me?
00:25:28
Speaker 7: Of course they know you. In this party, everybody's somebody. And everyone gets bonus bets.
00:25:34
Speaker 3: Hey, that's Fat Joe.
00:25:35
Speaker 2: Forget him.
00:25:35
Speaker 1: That's J-Boy. Hey, J-Boy.
00:25:37
Speaker 6: Everybody on Hard Rock Bet gets $ 100 in bonus bets. Limited time only.
00:25:41
Speaker 1: My name's J-Boy. I got that.
00:25:43
Speaker 6: I got that.
00:25:45
Speaker 2: Well, you never know when you're in a situation where ageism comes into play, where your co-host throws you completely under the bus and tells you you're either too young or too old to do something.
00:25:58
Speaker 1: I kid with a sort of that.
00:26:00
Speaker 2: But this is the reason why we've been telling you about Clay Travis law. Listen, there is never a good time. to need an attorney, right? Especially if you've been in an accident or if you've been wronged in some way, shape, or form. And that is really why Clay Travis Law was created. They're trial attorneys, and what they do all day is take on corporations and insurance companies. And they do it with the determination and some southern.
00:26:28
Speaker 1: Grit, which... is what they are all about.
00:26:32
Speaker 2: Product liability, premise liability, rideshare accidents, car and truck wrecks, medical malpractice also rising each and every day in this country. There is no reason not to have this number in your phone. And remember, there is no charge to have them look at your case. If you have one, they'll tell you. If you don't, They'll tell you that, too. So it's not about telling you what you want to hear. It's telling you what you need to hear. ClayTravisLaw.com. That's ClayTravisLaw.com. Or put the number in your phone, 877-222-4444.
00:27:07
Speaker 1: That's 877-222-4444. 44-44.
00:27:16
Speaker 2: All right, welcome back here to On Tilt, powered by Hard Rock Bet on the Sport and State Network. I think Ariel and I, our feelings are a little bit better now. We feel better, even though we got thrown under the bus by Kelly, but we're okay with that. We've got some Major League Baseball going on right now, and a pretty good one with the Phillies and the Braves. Phillies up 3-2 now, bottom of the 8th. We also, coming up after this, we have the Nobody Cares series with Houston and the White Sox. Because we can't name three pitchers that might actually throw in this series.
00:27:52
Speaker 1: It's all about the bullpens.
00:27:53
Speaker 4: The Astros are throwing a bullpen game for game one of a wild card series.
00:27:58
Speaker 3: I'll take it.
00:27:58
Speaker 5: I would have never thought that.
00:27:59
Speaker 1: Me too.
00:28:00
Speaker 3: The White Sox owe me for the AL Central. Now they're going to make a nice postseason run.
00:28:05
Speaker 1: Just watch.
00:28:06
Speaker 3: We've seen it before. Team Sandbag in the last couple weeks.
00:28:08
Speaker 4: I don't know how you lay minus 145 with the Astros.
00:28:13
Speaker 5: Or now it's 120.
00:28:14
Speaker 3: Oh, game one.
00:28:14
Speaker 5: I was like, whoo.
00:28:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, game one. No, no, no.
00:28:16
Speaker 4: Game one.
00:28:17
Speaker 1: Yep, game one.
00:28:18
Speaker 5: The series price was minus 145. How do you do that?
00:28:21
Speaker 3: You can't. Let me go peruse on over.
00:28:24
Speaker 1: And don't forget, Ariel.
00:28:25
Speaker 4: You can't bet minus 145 on a team with no starting rotation aside for Hunter Brown, who is on short rest if he.
00:28:31
Speaker 1: Does play tomorrow.
00:28:32
Speaker 4: Yes.
00:28:33
Speaker 2: And that's the problem here is all both of these teams had to empty the tanks just to get to this spot. And now it's going to be how many guys do we have that can.
00:28:42
Speaker 1: Actually throw a ball? And that's what's going on. We're seeing six.
00:28:45
Speaker 3: Just expect runs.
00:28:47
Speaker 5: Expect runs.
00:28:48
Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying.
00:28:48
Speaker 4: The Astros and the White Sox top five in home runs this year.
00:28:52
Speaker 3: Yes.
00:28:52
Speaker 2: Over. Yes, give me the overs all day long. Astros, number one, hit most home runs of any team in Major League Baseball this season.
00:29:00
Speaker 1: Go, go, go, go, go, go. We got some runs coming. Three run shots. Three run shots.
00:29:06
Speaker 4: Yes.
00:29:07
Speaker 7: Go.
00:29:07
Speaker 2: Yes.
00:29:07
Speaker 3: Drop like a rock.
00:29:09
Speaker 1: Because they have nobody. That's the problem.
00:29:11
Speaker 5: Austin Riley with a three-run homer, baby.
00:29:14
Speaker 1: Yep.
00:29:15
Speaker 2: 5-3.
00:29:15
Speaker 1: Bottom of the eighth. Two outs.
00:29:18
Speaker 5: Go Clay Travis.
00:29:19
Speaker 2: Huge.
00:29:20
Speaker 5: I was just yelling at Clay before.
00:29:21
Speaker 1: Johan Duran. How about that?
00:29:24
Speaker 2: Nice.
00:29:25
Speaker 1: 385 feet.
00:29:25
Speaker 5: I don't know why they brought him in in the seventh.
00:29:28
Speaker 2: Me neither.
00:29:29
Speaker 1: Well, that tells you everything you need to know about the Phillies here.
00:29:31
Speaker 2: But it ain't over yet. This game has already been a little bit crazy here. But, Kelly, I'm kind of with you. If I'm going to look at that... disgustingness with Houston and Hawaii, I want the dog.
00:29:44
Speaker 1: Give me the dog in that. For a coin flip game.
00:29:46
Speaker 3: Plus 125 at Hard Rock Bet is one of the best. I've got my out screen open right now, and I just opened a hard rock, but it is minus 145.
00:29:52
Speaker 1: Yep.
00:29:53
Speaker 3: That's crazy.
00:29:54
Speaker 2: Yep.
00:29:55
Speaker 3: Yeah.
00:29:56
Speaker 1: I'm with you. Dog all the way.
00:29:57
Speaker 5: All because of the Astros' pedigree and being at home. It's not even the same team.
00:30:03
Speaker 2: I don't even know if that's a– I don't think that's even a home field advantage at all.
00:30:08
Speaker 1: And listen– Why not?
00:30:09
Speaker 5: They bang on garbage cans.
00:30:11
Speaker 1: That's a good point. They bang on garbage cans. Yes, they do cheat.
00:30:15
Speaker 3: I forgot about what a bunch of big fat cheaters they were. Right now, the American League, Tampa Bay plus 250, Yankees 3-1, Guardians 3-1, Boston Red Sox plus 575, Houston 8-1, Chicago White Sox 12-1. Who wins the AL pennant?
00:30:33
Speaker 4: Well, you look back to what Washington did when the Nationals were 12-1, 14-1 to win the World Series the year that they won it. You could double dip, Kelly, in your White Sox. You want to be burned by the White Sox again?
00:30:49
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
00:30:51
Speaker 3: Yeah, I really enjoyed the last one. It only cost me a used Honda Civic.
00:30:56
Speaker 1: They're better.
00:30:56
Speaker 2: Here's the deal. They steal more bases. They play small ball better. They're either home run, walk, or strike out, and then they do a lot of really good things in between there. With the Astros, it's Jordan Alvarez, it's Walker, it's hit a home run, or it's bust here. So at plus money, I'll take the White Sox. Can somebody please explain to me, how is Stanton on this roster, Ariel?
00:31:22
Speaker 1: Judge is not. He's not going to be here for the wild card.
00:31:25
Speaker 2: But Stanton is somehow ready to play now?
00:31:28
Speaker 1: What is going on here?
00:31:30
Speaker 5: Stanton hasn't played since April.
00:31:32
Speaker 4: Listen, this is like how the Giants brought in OBJ to go run off into the sunset, and it's week four, and now he's already gotten cut by the Giants. Yeah, this is what it's going to look like for Giancarlo Stanton in the Yankees.
00:31:46
Speaker 5: He's ready to play. He's going to probably DH.
00:31:49
Speaker 4: He doesn't have to do much but run for seven innings around the bases because they're not going to play him in the field, and he'll get pinch run for at some point later in the game. As long as Aaron Judge isn't there, you need some other power bat that's not named Ben Rice at the plate. I'm fine with it, but if he sucks and he goes 0-3 with three strikeouts today, we're going to have to reconsider who's in the lineup tomorrow.
00:32:13
Speaker 3: I have an announcement to make. Not only does Hard Rock Bat have the best prices on the White Sox to win the AL pennant, that's a 30% profit boost.
00:32:23
Speaker 1: Really?
00:32:23
Speaker 3: Now, they're only going to let me bet $ 50 on this, but.
00:32:27
Speaker 3: It pays 14 to 1 now.
00:32:29
Speaker 2: Really?
00:32:30
Speaker 3: For 50 bucks.
00:32:32
Speaker 6: Okay, done.
00:32:32
Speaker 3: That's nice.
00:32:33
Speaker 2: Make sure you get to Hard Rock and download it here today. Take advantage of those profit boosts, especially during the Major League Baseball postseason.
00:32:41
Speaker 3: I didn't know you could use a profit boost on a futures bet. See, look at that, guys. I'm learning all the new stuff.
00:32:46
Speaker 1: Isn't that great? Keep hitting that there.
00:32:48
Speaker 2: Yankees tonight. Schlittler against Peyton Doley. Ariel, I think first one who scores wins. I don't see there being a whole lot of... four runs with these two starting pitchers. Schlittler is Cy Young, as far as I'm concerned. Tully has been just as good as the rookie. Bullpens are a little interesting, but I took the first five under three, Ariel, because I don't know that we're, are we getting four runs in the first five innings here with these two pitchers?
00:33:16
Speaker 4: Not at the rate both these pitchers are pitching against their opponent. Peyton Toll has a. 69 ERA, 18 Ks, with the Yanks hitting 125 against him. And Cam Schlittler against the Red Sox,. 56 ERA. So these two are awesome against their opponent. If the Yankees go down, I mean, Joe, I didn't even bet the game. I just bet the series. I have plus 140, plus 135, I think, on the Red Sox to win the series. I'm very concerned because Garrett Crochet is actually going to be active for the Red Sox. I don't think he starts. Crochet could come out of the bullpen, though, for Boston. You've got Tole, who's pitched well against the Yankees, Sonny Gray, who hates the Yankees, and then on game three, if there is one, Garrett Cole's been getting crushed by the Red Sox. So I'm very concerned for the Yankees going into this series. Maybe it's a hedge my happiness thing. I don't have faith in the Yankees. I think they'll have one good— they' ll have two games that they could use David Bednar. They're going to have to be selective because he can't.
00:34:20
Speaker 5: Go all three.
00:34:21
Speaker 1: I'll tell you this.
00:34:22
Speaker 2: The late game is fascinating to me because we've seen it all the time in a wildcard era. Teams that get really hot in September and they just take that and run right through the postseason. Nobody was better than the Padres in the month of September to finish the season. Then nobody's been better at Petco at home than the Padres. Now, the Cubs are the best hitting team, I think. left in Major League Baseball in the postseason at this point. But the problem is they only need their starting pitchers to go five innings, Ariel. And then that bullpen of the Padres is a big weapon. Who are you bringing in for the Cubs to try to mitigate damage there?
00:35:05
Speaker 1: I just don't see it.
00:35:05
Speaker 2: I think the Padres at this price are absolutely worth a shot here.
00:35:11
Speaker 5: I actually took the Cubs.
00:35:13
Speaker 4: I don't mind pitching as much for a best-of-three when you've got great bats. It's more when you get to the best-of-fives, best-of-sevens. The Cubs don't have the pitching depth to get them through a long series. They can win a best-of-three series, though. And Matthew Boyd has great numbers in October, a.k.a.
00:35:31
Speaker 3: The postseason.
00:35:32
Speaker 4: 1-6-9 ERA in six career postseason starts, including the exact game one in San Diego last year. 2-8-6 ERA on the road this season as well. The Padres rotation is pretty thin. So that scares me for the Padres with maybe having to go to their bullpen a lot more often. I just like that the Cubs could put up runs and Pete Crow Armstrong has absolutely crushed San Diego. In fact, the Cubs outscored the Padres. 55 to 28 winning five of six in the regular season so i do think the bats can get the cubs past the padres just for a best of three though i uh i.
00:36:09
Speaker 2: We're gonna go head to head because i like the padres tonight not saying what they're gonna do to things.
00:36:14
Speaker 5: No one's lost me more money in baseball than the san diego on x to go to.
00:36:19
Speaker 3: A game with a nice 53 year old man.
00:36:24
Speaker 4: Yeah, to see the Padres, who have lost me so much freaking money.
00:36:27
Speaker 5: You think the only team that has lost me. Okay, actually, I'll say this.
00:36:32
Speaker 4: The Tarek Skubal Tigers, they pissed me off last year. But the San Diego Padres have pissed me off every baseball season for the.
00:36:40
Speaker 3: Last five years.
00:36:41
Speaker 5: Also, the Braves just won five to three.
00:36:43
Speaker 1: So that's one.
00:36:44
Speaker 5: One of two. Let's go, Atlanta.
00:36:46
Speaker 2: Dave Doobie is celebrating right now, by the way, in the chat room.
00:36:50
Speaker 1: Way to go, Dave.
00:36:51
Speaker 2: Shawn Michael in the house thinks the Yankees choked game one, but probably not that far off.
00:36:57
Speaker 5: He's just saying that because it's me. Shawn, I don't care. I have the Red Sox to win the series. And guess what?
00:37:03
Speaker 4: The rest of my October will be very peaceful without the New York Yankees in it.
00:37:07
Speaker 5: Are you sure?
00:37:08
Speaker 3: So I don't care. What happens when the Ravens lose to the Titans? The Ravens lose.
00:37:13
Speaker 5: The Ravens won't lose to the Titans. They're going to lose to the Falcons.
00:37:15
Speaker 1: Don't do that. Oh, don't do that there. That's not nice. I will say this, though.
00:37:20
Speaker 3: I've been saying that from a Survivor standpoint. I know it's a little early in the week to be talking about Survivor, but my brain's already going because the Hard Rock Survivor, we'll talk about that.
00:37:28
Speaker 4: It was really funny because I'm in a Survivor with my dad and his buddies, and my dad's buddies obviously were really pissed because they wrote in the chat this week, damn it, we've got to appease Darren and take his Ravens in Survivor this week, don't we? Ha ha.
00:37:42
Speaker 2: Well, I'll tell you what, interesting game coming up Thursday night to kick off week four in the AFC North here. And we'll talk about it because I think Pittsburgh, there's no way the Browns are winning three games in a row. I refuse to believe it. I think the Pittsburgh defense can get it done. Might be a survivor play. We'll talk more about it, though, as you are watching. No way.
00:38:05
Speaker 3: You do not use rogue divisional teams in Survivor, Joe.
00:38:12
Speaker 2: On Tilt, powered by Hard Rock Bet on the sport.
00:38:16
Speaker 1: I can't.
00:38:17
Speaker 3: The guy who just wants to fade the Dolphins every week just won't take the Vikings? Give me a break.
00:38:22
Speaker 2: I'm fading the Browns at some particular point. We'll talk about it more on Tilt on the sport and state network.
00:38:30
Speaker 7: This year, the biggest sportsbook party's getting even bigger.
00:38:34
Speaker 6: Hey, there's J-Boy.
00:38:35
Speaker 7: I mean, whether you've been here, you're just getting here, everybody gets the same bonus badge.
00:38:40
Speaker 3: AJ, Jimmy Johnson.
00:38:42
Speaker 2: Kevin, they know me?
00:38:44
Speaker 7: Of course they know you. In this party, everybody's somebody. And everyone gets bonus bets.
00:38:50
Speaker 3: Hey, that's Fat Joe.
00:38:51
Speaker 6: Forget him.
00:38:52
Speaker 2: That's J-Boy.
00:38:53
Speaker 1: Hey, J-Boy.
00:38:54
Speaker 6: Everybody on Hard Rock Bet gets $ 100 in bonus bets. Limited time only.
00:38:57
Speaker 1: My name's J-Boy. I got that.
00:38:59
Speaker 6: I got that.
00:39:00
Speaker 3: Hardrock.bet.com. I think I say it 1,000 times a day.
00:39:07
Speaker 1: Yet, when I text.
00:39:09
Speaker 3: it to all of my family members and said, Hey guys, make sure you deposit $ 5. You can get a hundred dollars in bonus bets and get signed up for their free survivor contest. And my mom said, Kelly, I need your help. I said, good news. I live five minutes away. I will come over and help you because I am the number one customer service provider, English is hard. Hard rock bet for my family. So I went over this morning for mom, got her all signed up. Do you think I remembered to use hard rock dot bat bet slash clay? No, of course not. I forgot to use hard rock dot bat slash clay. Ariel, would you like to do this read? It's open for you. Let Ariel have the floor.
00:39:49
Speaker 5: Hardrock.bet.clay.
00:39:53
Speaker 3: Anyway. I'm trying to find NBC Sports Network.
00:39:56
Speaker 5: I get my mom's sign up.
00:39:57
Speaker 3: I get her deposit, and she goes, how does that work? Do you guys get credit? And I go, I did not use Hardrock.bet.clay. But if you guys use it, you guys are going to get deposit five bucks. You're going to get $ 100 back in bonus bets. Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia, in addition to Florida. But Florida is the only one that has a survivor contest. So if you guys have family members here, have them download it. $ 2 million at stake starts this week. I think the whole world is going to take Ariel's Raven, so I will be cheering against him. And I will most likely be on Joe's Minnesota Vikings.
00:40:35
Speaker 1: Great. Boom. I love that.
00:40:37
Speaker 6: You know what, Kelly?
00:40:38
Speaker 4: Anything that you bet that I bet doesn't win, so that's fine.
00:40:42
Speaker 3: I know.
00:40:43
Speaker 1: And you know what?
00:40:45
Speaker 3: It's just, listen, I want to let everybody know I am 3-0 in my parlay. Same game parlay contributions on this show.
00:40:53
Speaker 5: Beginner's law.
00:40:54
Speaker 1: She's not lying. She's not lying here.
00:40:56
Speaker 4: Does anyone know what channel the NBC Sports Network is on Verizon Fios?
00:41:00
Speaker 2: I believe it's screaming only because nobody wants to watch Houston against the White Sox anyway.
00:41:06
Speaker 1: Yankees at 8 o'clock and Red Sox tonight will be prime time. That I can promise you.
00:41:11
Speaker 2: Welcome back on tilt powered by hard rock bet here on the sport and state network. We do have some best bets coming up here, but it is an interesting Thursday night game here between Pittsburgh and the Browns. Listen, I don't think if you would have said, Hey, week four, Browns are going to be hosting a game at home and they're going to be two and one. I think we all would have laughed and be like, yeah, I don't. I don't think that's happening. We did see signs of life from Aaron Rodgers and that offense finally. Jalen Warren rushing for 127 yards was impressive. Big 38 is the total here. So, Kelly, you talked me off the Steelers for Survivor. But how are we not Browns in a teaser situation here?
00:41:58
Speaker 3: That's the most obvious thing to do ever. Total 38, tease the Browns over a touchdown. I had an awful Sunday outside of my free play that I put on Wager Talk. Pittsburgh plus three and a half was my barking underdog. I said on the AFC North, you know what I always do? Take the dog. At home, every single time, I don't think I have the Nashville Vols to take the Browns to win three games in a row. However, I do think that they will keep it close. This looks like, Joe, like a 14-10 final written all over it.
00:42:30
Speaker 2: Wow. I mean, Ariel, you see it every year. You follow the Ravens in the AFC. The Browns are inherently going to win one game against either Pittsburgh or Baltimore, some combination of both.
00:42:43
Speaker 1: Is that usually how it works every year?
00:42:45
Speaker 3: Usually, yes.
00:42:46
Speaker 4: It's usually a game though that really starts to matter down the stretch. Like when Kelly and I were in Kansas or wherever we were in that state watching at a barbecue place and the Browns upset the Ravens. Yeah, that wasn't a fun flight home. Usually the Browns will upset one of those teams in a meaningful time at some point. However, Pittsburgh laying two and a half in Cleveland. There's no way I could back the Cleveland Browns. I was looking at some of these Pittsburgh's still been top 10 this year in passing yards allowed, completions allowed, pass attempts allowed, quarterback rushing yards allowed. So they're really going to limit what Deshaun Watson can do on the Cleveland side of the ball. They're good against wide receivers, so they're going to make them, what, run the football? That's where Pittsburgh's defense has struggled this year is against the run. And you think that I care about what Kinshawn Junkins is.
00:43:37
Speaker 6: Going to do?
00:43:37
Speaker 5: I bet it's over last week. And that was about it.
00:43:40
Speaker 4: So I think Pittsburgh is in a pretty good spot defensively to at least win this game.
00:43:46
Speaker 2: Is there a weather issue here?
00:43:49
Speaker 1: Because this feels like it's in two days. It's an awfully low total.
00:43:54
Speaker 3: It's supposed to be. No, I don't think so. I think it's supposed to be raining like the next couple of days in the Midwest. But Joe, I will double check. I do not think it's going to be bad weather in Cleveland. I think it's these two offenses that have been absolutely awful.
00:44:09
Speaker 1: I mean, yes.
00:44:10
Speaker 3: Last week, Steelers showed some flash in the pan against the Bengals, but if you want to beat the Bengals, you're going to have to go toe-to-toe with them. Not in this kind of fight. This is going to be just like a knockout, drag-out, ugly Thursday night game. Obviously, we're all going to be watching, but I just don't really trust either one of them. Neither team, both teams rank in the bottom 10 in the NFL in scoring for the first three weeks. Even after last week, Steelers still ranks in the bottom of scoring.
00:44:37
Speaker 2: Deshaun Watson, 8-1 to the under at home over the last couple of years here, even though right from there to the massage set. But he doesn't get a lot of points, and I don't think the Browns are getting a lot of points here.
00:44:50
Speaker 1: The only question to me is.
00:44:52
Speaker 2: What version of Aaron Rodgers and that offense do we get here from Pittsburgh? I think that's a interesting, to say the least, game coming up on a Thursday night. But is it now the Ravens to lose? Is this now the Ravens division to lose for sure?
00:45:08
Speaker 5: It's always been the Ravens division to lose, Joe.
00:45:10
Speaker 2: Thank you.
00:45:10
Speaker 3: I was getting ready to say.
00:45:11
Speaker 5: It's always been their division to lose.
00:45:13
Speaker 2: A lot of people love the Bengals. A lot of Bengals love early this year. You're not buying that defense?
00:45:19
Speaker 3: No, I told you. I bet the Ravens, or excuse me, the Bengals season win total under. I have not been buying the Bengals. That's why I bet them early. I am still not convinced Joe Burrow is 100% healthy or will remain 100% healthy. I don't trust that Bengals defense. That is why Aaron Rodgers was able to carve them up last week.
00:45:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's going to be interesting there. Browns, I didn't have them at 2-1.
00:45:44
Speaker 1: Sorry, did not see it.
00:45:45
Speaker 2: But if they do make it to 3-1, then just all hell is broken loose at this particular point. All right, best bet time here, courtesy of Hard Rock Bet, if you haven't done so already.
00:45:57
Speaker 1: Make sure you get that app going. Download it onto.
00:46:00
Speaker 2: Your phone here, especially if you live in the state of Florida.
00:46:03
Speaker 1: As this week.
00:46:04
Speaker 2: Week four, is the $ 2 million Survivor Pool. In that contest, win yourself part of that $ 2 million if you're the last one standing. You got to love it here. But Major League Baseball tonight on tap, Ariel. So which way are you going with these three games that remain coming up?
00:46:24
Speaker 5: I just have serious bets right now.
00:46:26
Speaker 4: I bet the Red Sox to beat the Yankees at plus 140 to win the series. And then I've got the Cubs around plus 110 or even money where you catch it to win that series. I do find the numbers, Joe, and I don't mean this to scare you, but the numbers are really fishy tonight for Michael King, the Padres starter. I'm not understanding why his outs prop is 12 and a half and his hits allowed prop is three and a half. So I'm expecting the Padres to maybe pull King early because the season hasn't been that great.
00:46:57
Speaker 5: But he's gone.
00:46:57
Speaker 4: Over 12 and a half outs in or 12 and a half outs in every game this year at home except one. So I thought that number was very fishy on Michael King. The Cubs are the best offense in baseball second highest OPS on the road this year you could look to King over his hits allowed look at the Cubs maybe team total over I could see the Cubs putting up runs Michael Boyd has been phenomenal or Matthew Boyd excuse me has been phenomenal on the road this season and he's been really good in the playoffs so I do like the Cubbies.
00:47:33
Speaker 2: Liking the Cubbies here, certainly in the series as well. Kelly, how about you? You're looking, again, Thursday night. I think we got a hell of a game. Well, I think we got a hell of a game this week in college football that because it's stuck in the ACC, nobody's going to talk about it. But I think Pitt-Vatek is going to be an absolute monster game. I think it's going to be one of the better games here. But what did you circle here tonight for a best bet there, Kelly?
00:48:00
Speaker 3: I was looking to see if there was any splits from our buddy Tim. You guys know sometimes I love just a good public fade, especially during baseball season here. I will say this. Our friend of the show, Christy, just texted me. Kelly, lots of rain Thursday night. So lock in that under now. I'm locking in the under for Thursday night football right now. Current number, I want to make sure that I give you guys the accurate one. Oh, I logged myself out of Hard Rock Bet. But I wanted to get right back in here and make sure that I give you guys the correct total. I think we still got a 38 here.
00:48:33
Speaker 1: Yes, we do.
00:48:33
Speaker 3: 38 minus 110 toward the under for Thursday night football. Reporting live with the weather. Just don't have the big fake butt in the clicker.
00:48:42
Speaker 1: Interesting. Ariel, what was the strikeout prop for Schlittler tonight? Was it eight? I saw some said seven, eight. What was it, eight, I think?
00:48:53
Speaker 4: It's seven and a half. Plus 110 to the over. And his outs prop is 17.5.
00:49:06
Speaker 5: But here's my problem, Joe.
00:49:07
Speaker 4: I was looking at the home numbers at night. At home at night, Cam Schlittler is averaging six and a half k's a.
00:49:15
Speaker 1: Game interesting i have to look at the.
00:49:19
Speaker 4: Red sox recently uh red sox recently they have had a lot of overs though one two three four five six seven of the last eight righty starters have gone over their k prop against the red sox.
00:49:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, they strike out a lot.
00:49:33
Speaker 5: Don't you get nervous? Don't you get nervous?
00:49:35
Speaker 4: Like at some point, this amazingness of Cam Schlittler in a big spot against his former team has to end.
00:49:41
Speaker 5: It gets me nervous.
00:49:43
Speaker 2: Plus money, I don't get nervous. You talked me into it. That's where we're going. Over in the K prop here tonight for Cam Schlittler, who, let's face it, he dominates. He's dominated him this year. I think he's going to dominate him again here tonight. But I really do like the unders across the board. Team total, two and a half for the Red Sox, three and a half for the Yankees. I don't know how we're getting there. Any of that here?
00:50:07
Speaker 1: I think this has got 2-1 written all over it. R.G.
00:50:11
Speaker 2: Hawk, pleasure to see you, my man. Peter Popoff Jr., he's betting the fever tonight, Kelly. Any interest on the Indiana.
00:50:20
Speaker 3: You know, I made the joke when baseball's locked out next year that I'm going to have to learn the WNBA.
00:50:26
Speaker 2: Oh, this.
00:50:27
Speaker 3: I guess now is a good time of any to start figuring out if I like the Indiana fever tonight. I'll text our good friend Hakeem and get some cliff notes for you guys.
