OM DENNE EPISODE
Texas Longhorns’ fourth-down decision sparks debate as Steve Sarkisian’s confidence in his offense comes into question. Facing 4th-and-2 at the Oklahoma 35-yard line in a tied Red River Shootout, Sarkisian opted for a 53-yard field goal—a call that backfired when Gianni Spetic missed wide right, paving the way for a Texas loss.
BK, Brad Kellner scrutinizes the dramatic shift from Sarkisian’s previous “winners win, baby” mantra after beating Ohio State to this conservative choice against the Sooners. The episode breaks down Sarkisian’s postgame admission of not trusting his playbook or offense to secure two crucial yards, raising questions about Texas’ offensive identity and championship mindset. Is this a blip in Sarkisian’s aggressive approach or a troubling sign for the Longhorns’ season ahead?
