Speaker 1: What's up, friends, and welcome into Fantasy Pros. This is the Fantasy Baseball Weekend Prep Podcast. I'm Chris Welsh. We've got Joe Rico in the house and we're getting you set for the weekend with some mustar pitchers, a must stream hitter that's gonna at least help you out. And we are going to do our picture of the weekend, our start of the weekend, so a little bit higher own, a little bit more streamy, some hitter actions, just a good weekend prep for you. That's what we've got going down. Mister Joe Rico, let's jump right into it with our start of the weekend. This is a little bit higher of an own pitcher, maybe accessible more in you know, probably ten and maybe lower end twelve teams out there. Your start of the weekend is who.
00:00:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's nineteen percent rostered according to the Fantasy Pros consensus aggregate ad or aggregate roster percentage. It might bury a little bit based on which site you're playing on. But Jared Jones. We're taking a chance on Jared Jones against Cincinnati. There was all this for Jared Jones. He let us down a little bit, and now people have sent him back to waiver wires in a lot of leagues, but I've still been very encouraged by what we've seen overall from him. All of his pitches have at least a thirteen percent swinging strike rate. The sliders at sixteen, change up at nineteen, curveball at twenty one, he is going to get whiffs. He's facing Cincinnati, and it's away from great American ballparks, so we don't have to worry about the big homer happy park. And he's also shown increased velocity this season since he's returned, not a drastic increase, but going from ninety eight two to ninety eight point seven on the fastball, the slider's up about half a mile an hour. Same thing with the curveball, and the stuff is also looking really, really good. So despite the fact that his first couple starts we're a little bit disappointing, the upside is still there for Jared Jones to be not just a streamer for the purpose of the show. He's a streamer, but somebody that you could potentially hold on your team the rest of the season as well.
00:01:50
Speaker 1: That's a decent one. I mean, there's a lot of upside in the play. There feels like there's a little bit of inherent risk, but I don't hate that. I'm actually surprised that the percentage is so low, especially when you compare to the guy that I'm gonna talk about. It's under forty percent consensus own. If we're being fair, it's probably over sixty percent on like a CBS platform. But between Yahoo and ESPN, this guy is under owned our own under forty percent. And I'm going with Andrew Plante, who you know, doesn't have like, you know, the big, crazy, insane name value, but performance wise he has been there. And this weekend he's going up against the Miami Marlins. He has three straight quality starts, but even more impressive, six of his last seven starts he has given up only one earned run, and he has six of those seven going six innings or more. He's been kind of a dude. The strikeouts, you know, they're a little bit lower. That's not the really big play for you. But I've been saying it, this is kind of the year of the non strikeout pitcher. And I know that sounds weird. That might be more of a push to the big, heavy strikeout guys, but there have been so many pitchers that have these just like really low end strikeout rates that I think it overlooked because of that and maybe name value, and yet they go out and they put up these great performances. They're gonna help all your ratios. Eighteen percent k percentage, seven percent walk rate. It's but it's been low quality of contact against six and a half percent barrel rate against. His three and a half ra is supported by an expected era that is also under force still and he has been a ground ball merchant. Marlin's a little bit of a weird team. There's a couple of speedy guys obviously that can get on base. You can have that, but you know, ground balls are going to keep the ball in play a little bit more. That's going to stunt more of an offense for a team like the Marlins. So if he is floating out there thirty six percent ownership, Andre Polante, that is going to be my start of the weekend. We got a hitter and then we've got our top streamer. But want to remind you guys to go and check out the lineup assistant at all times, field your most optimal lineup every day with Fantasy Pros Lineup Assistant, get personalized start and sit advice powered by our accurate consensus projections and tailored to your league specific scoring settings. If you don't remember, the Fantasy Pros projection system was actually the number one this past year, coming in even over a couple of our main great friends that do like ATC and the bat. So the projection systems are up there and this is powered by that. You can tailor all of this to your league settings.

All right, let's go take a look at the hitting side of this. If we are looking to stream a hitter this weekend, we're playing lower percentages. Who's somebody that you're going to be picking up off the wire?
00:04:34
Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody we're both familiar with. Uh former Diamondback current blue Jay Dalton var Show. Now, after what he did last season, I was expecting a massive power outputting at twenty homers in seventy one games, fifteen percent barrel rate. He's a different player this season, but he's still been a very productive player. If I told you Welch a couple of years ago he's going to be a two sixty two to seventy hitter, he would have laughed in my face, and rightfully so, because he's always been two twenty two, fifteen, two thirty five, he said in two sixty six. This year, his strikeout rate has gone from twenty eight percent down to nineteen and the swing strike rate backs it up. A fifteen percent swinging strike rate last year down to eight percent. His own contact is almost ninety percent. He's still giving you the power speed mixed with the seven homers in the seven steals. And he has a weekend series against the Rangers where he will face three right handed pitchers the Evaldie Kumar, Rocker, Cal Quantrill, not exactly Gavin, you know, Glavin Smoltz and Maddox who he'll be facing this weekend. So I am all in on var show. It's a contract a year for him. I think the second half of the season is going to look really solid. We'll see those counting stats continue to trend up and it's looking like it'll be a twenty twenty season with a really solid batting average. Wich is something we've never been able to say about him before.
00:05:40
Speaker 1: I dig that in the roster percentage of nineteen and a half percent. Now, I know everybody's favorite thing on the planet is for us to say somebody and then someone to be like, we go ruable in my league. Okay, we can't do that all the time, but this is one of those, like this is the lowest percentage player on the entire board. Here I'm going to give you is Henry Bolty six percent. I think we've talked about him before in different variations of the video. The percentage rostered is still super low despite him hitting three twenty with nine stolen bases and two homers. Over the last fifteen days, he's hitting three sixty six with a homer and four stolen bases, and this weekend he's got the Angels. What is interesting about it is there are two scheduled lefties on Saturday and Sunday. Henry Bolts BOLTI is hitting three point fifty nine against lefties and those homers have both come against lefties. So this is a really good spot. I mean, whether it was right of or lefty, I'm not sure they would have changed a whole bunch more, but he does mash more versus lefties. Six percent roster percentage between Yahoo and ESPN. That's probably under thirty percent on CBS. He should kind of widely be available out there if you're looking for someone to get you a little bit of power and speed, and this is just a good spot here. Henry BOLTI would be the guy I'm looking at. And finally that takes us to our streamer of the weekend. This is going to be the lowest percentage pitcher that we're looking at. It was a rough go, I'd be honest. If you look at the guys that are pitching this weekend, it's filled with players that I know most of you have in your rosters, so it's really thin pickings here. But we did both pick two players that are ten percent or under. So, Joe, who is your top streamer for this weekend?
00:07:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, a little bit of a theme. It's looking like former d Backs. But Slay Chacconi is the guy that I will be taking this weekend. He's been on a surprisingly really good run. I'll be honest, I'd kind of given up on Slay Chaconi coming into the year. I didn't think he was all that special, and maybe he isn't. But his last nine starts have been a two nine to six ERA. He has not given up more than three earned runs going back to May the second, and that happened in Sacramento. So he has been really, really good now for the majority of the season. In that time frame, it's a two ninety six ERA, it's a one twenty seven whip, which is going to blow you away, especially from the whip perspective. But on top of being great recently, has a great matchup coming up against the Mariners, who in the month of June are the twenty seventh ranked offense in baseball with an eighty five WRC plus. As a team, they just haven't been able to get things going at all, whether it be cal whether it be a Rosa rain, not playing well and getting hurt and Julio. It hasn't been a great season for the Mariners Josh Naylor as well. So they are a team that you can target in the streaming streets and Chaconi has looked really good right now, so he will be my pick for the streamer for the weekend.
00:08:13
Speaker 1: Mine, I'm going to go ten percent own Anthony K. I definitely have talked about him from time to time. Things have kind of well off a little bit. It's a really great season. This month has been a little bit tough for He's does have a round a five and a half ERA after having a one nine to five May ERA. Uh, and then April has been good, bad, good bad kind of in there. I don't hate the matchup though, where he's going up against. I believe it's the Royals this week, and if I'm remembering correctly, and they struggle against lefties and Anthony K has really given fits to lefty batters.
00:08:44
Speaker 2: Also for K, last start was good.
00:08:47
Speaker 1: Two of his last three he's given up two runs or less in those and we've had some big strike up performances seven strikeouts or more in two of his last three as well. So there's a little bit of risk because he has gotten you know, a couple of these that have been beat down. Nothing insane too. I mean, he did have a six earned run against the Phillies. It's the Phillies, but that was the most earned runs given up, the second most earned runs of the entire season, and he hadn't given up more than three prior to that in like seven straight starts. So you've just got a battle of a team that struggles against lefties with a kind of a tough lefty pitcher in general. Ten percent own. I don't think this is a bad spot. We might even get one of those seven strikeout games. So Anthony k is going to be my streamer.
