The Appalachian mountains are one of the oldest and most mysterious mountain ranges in the world. Running from Canada right down the east of America to Alabama, they have been home to cultures from across the world.
Each culture has brought their own traditions and beliefs, contributing to the growing legends surrounding the mountains. They hold secrets of entities and animals intent on drawing you away from the correct path. Whistles, songs, even the voices of people you know will call to you from the darkness.
Which of these legends are true? Which are simply folk tales? Whatever the answer is, one thing we do know - people really do go missing forever in the Appalachian wilderness, never to be seen again.
