Committed Gathering // New Year, Same You? | John Klassen

Why do so many attempts at change fail—especially in our faith?

In this message, New You, we confront the lie that trying harder produces lasting transformation. Scripture reveals that the gospel is not about behavior modification, but identity transformation.

Through passages like 2 Corinthians 5, Galatians 4, and Romans 8, we discover what it truly means to be a new creation—not cleaned up, but made new. This sermon speaks to anyone who still struggles with sin, anxiety, fear, or past failures and wonders, “If I’m new in Christ, why do I still feel this way?”

You’ll be reminded that your identity is settled instantly, your growth is worked out daily, and freedom flows not from effort, but from living out of who God says you already are. The enemy may accuse, but victory comes through the blood of the Lamb and the word of your testimony.

This message is an invitation to stop striving, start believing, and learn how to live from the New You.
