collaborative growth: I am. You can't do that song, it always makes me cry. Right, so whenever you guys are ready. Whenever you're ready. ⁓ Hey beautiful. here because we want to wish you a happy Fourth of July, a happy Independence Day weekend. So enjoy your family and your friends and your loved ones and watch. Things that go with summertime and picnics and fun and family and all that good stuff. We celebrate this year we're celebrating 250 years of independence in this country. That's a mighty long time. Yeah, I was gonna say, wasn't it just the 200th? I know. It's it's crazy. Where's the last 50 years going? I know. Where did they go? Because I remember ⁓ bicentennial so ⁓ I mean we were kids but still but still you know so you know when you're thinking about independence think about personal independence what what does that mean to be independent yet responsible what does that mean you know that's a really good question because we start to say but she or but he well okay but it really doesn't matter what somebody else is doing that's their time their space their responsibility your responsibility in being an independent person is doing your own research and you can have an opinion but it's being confident in yourself, you know, and not having to blast that out to everybody everywhere. And with social media today everything goes everywhere and it's not necessary. You don't have to we we're discussing this. You don't have to go on again and have an argument with somebody that you don't know. You know? You don't have to bring your opinion into it every time. You can just simply listen. So I think that's a lot of being independent is being Able to be in your own power. I agree. I agree. ⁓ someone posted a question the one day on social media and said, What do you find that is sorely lacking in our humanness today? And the immediate answer from my heart and my brain was Elis Proper discourse. People being able to have different opinions and still and yet still have a decent conversation about it. This is what I think and this is why I think this way. And I understand what you're saying to me. You know, and and not screaming and yelling and you know, it's just yeah, it is just that. It's it's having the ability to recognize that everyone has opinions and everyone is a free individual. Mm-hmm. It's my responsibility to treat that with respect. Right. Yeah, it's respecting yourself, it's respecting the other person. You don't have to agree with them, but it's respecting that they have the right to their opinion. Somebody asked my my boyfriend recently, how do you guys get along? Because you come in from two totally different sides of so many different issues. And his response was agree to disagree. Yeah, we can we can talk about anything as long as you respect the other person's opinion. Right. In in civil discourse is just that. Yep. It's being able to talk to the other person, s you know, seeing their point of view. You don't have again, like Melanie said, you don't have to agree with them. Mm-hmm. But you gotta give them the respect that a human being deserves. And that's that's really what being independent and being an independent person is. I think it is. It's a that's a lot of it, you know. People look at independence and they go, Well, I support myself. And yeah, that's part of it. You know, or I make my own decisions, I do my own thing, and that's all part of it. But you need to wrap it all together and bring that responsibility part into it. At least I think so. So from us to you, enjoy your summer, enjoy your time. And And remember it's not worth it. No opinion about anything. So enjoy the holiday weekend. Go out, whatever the weather is in your neck of the woods. Go enjoy the sunshine. Go fish in the rain. Go, you know, sit in the air conditioning and have a have a card party. Whatever it is you guys want to do, go have fun. See you in the next episode. Bye for now.
