OM DENNE EPISODE
2 Chronicles 17 explained. King Jehoshaphat strengthens Judah by seeking God, rejecting idolatry, and teaching the people His law.
Jehoshaphat follows the ways of the Lord, removes the high places and Asherim from Judah, and sends officials, Levites, and priests throughout the cities to teach the Book of the Law. As the people learn God's commandments, the kingdom grows stronger, and the surrounding nations fear the Lord. Judah receives tribute from the Philistines and Arabians, and Jehoshaphat's influence increases.
This chapter highlights the importance of seeking God, teaching His Word, and building a nation on faithfulness rather than military strength alone.
Jehoshaphat's reign points beyond earthly kings to Jesus Christ, the greater King, who perfectly obeys the Father and brings God's truth to His people.
