Systems Over Hustle with Coach Lee

WEBVTT
00:00:18.640 --> 00:00:20.320
What do you have to eye?
00:00:20.320 --> 00:00:22.559
What are you like?
00:00:22.559 --> 00:00:30.559
If it looks like a white.
00:00:30.559 --> 00:00:36.640
Never quite.
00:00:36.640 --> 00:00:40.240
Here we go beyond.
00:00:40.240 --> 00:00:51.679
Really bad.
00:00:51.679 --> 00:00:55.439
So much more.
00:00:55.439 --> 00:01:03.439
So grab your coffee and let's dive in. Welcome back to another episode of Beyond Organized.
00:01:03.439 --> 00:01:06.560
Today I have Coach Lee with us.
00:01:06.560 --> 00:01:14.400
Lee is a criminal defence attorney by day and a productivity and accountability coach, as she likes to say, throughout.
00:01:14.400 --> 00:01:23.439
Coach Lee helps transform the lives of women who feel trapped in the demands of their careers to thrive without compromising their lives.
00:01:23.680 --> 00:01:24.319
Perfect.
00:01:24.560 --> 00:01:32.959
She helps you master time management, build boundaries, and develop strategies to thrive at work without compromising their personal lives.
00:01:32.959 --> 00:01:38.159
Coach Lee helps you to create a life that your career can't destroy.
00:01:38.159 --> 00:01:43.439
She helps you unlock your true potential so that you can create a life you love.
00:01:43.439 --> 00:01:51.920
As women, we play so many roles and think that we can do it all, mm-hmm, that we often put ourselves last, if at all.
00:01:51.920 --> 00:01:58.000
She's here to help you create systems that work for your life, career, or business, even when life gets busy.
00:01:58.000 --> 00:02:02.719
She promotes systems and structure over hustle and waiting for motivation.
00:02:02.719 --> 00:02:04.079
Oh, yes.
00:02:04.079 --> 00:02:06.879
Coach Lee is an author.
00:02:06.879 --> 00:02:16.879
Her book, Lee's Laws of Productivity, is the ultimate guide to getting things done, boosting efficiency, and achieving your goals without feeling overwhelmed or stressed out.
00:02:16.879 --> 00:02:19.039
Oh my goodness, you are my kind of woman.
00:02:19.039 --> 00:02:20.960
Welcome to the show.
00:02:21.439 --> 00:02:22.800
Thank you so much for having me.
00:02:22.800 --> 00:02:24.319
I mean, beyond organized.
00:02:24.319 --> 00:02:26.319
So, like, we have to have systems.
00:02:26.319 --> 00:02:28.159
We gotta have some structure to be organized.
00:02:28.400 --> 00:02:30.159
Yeah, it's a good fit.
00:02:30.159 --> 00:02:33.360
And I gotta say, that was one heck of a bio.
00:02:33.360 --> 00:02:35.439
That was really impressive.
00:02:35.439 --> 00:02:37.039
Thank you.
00:02:37.039 --> 00:02:39.199
It's so lovely to have you here.
00:02:39.199 --> 00:02:47.919
I would love to know what got you inspired, especially when you're going from attorney by day to like productivity coach by night.
00:02:47.919 --> 00:02:51.599
I would love to hear your story behind that and what got that happening.
00:02:52.000 --> 00:02:55.599
I never set out to be a coach, this coach.
00:02:55.599 --> 00:02:57.840
I love what I do as an attorney.
00:02:57.840 --> 00:02:59.280
I don't ever want to stop being an attorney.
00:02:59.280 --> 00:03:01.199
I mean, eventually, you know, I'll retire.
00:03:01.199 --> 00:03:04.639
But for years, so it really started with like health and fitness.
00:03:04.639 --> 00:03:10.240
I was in these like accountability groups for health and fitness, and it was run by someone else, but we would share our workouts.
00:03:10.240 --> 00:03:11.840
So, you know, of course, you're cheering people on.
00:03:11.840 --> 00:03:15.039
And when people are talking about struggles, like I would offer suggestions.
00:03:15.039 --> 00:03:18.719
So my coach, the girl who was running, was like, hey, you should sign up to be a coach.
00:03:18.719 --> 00:03:21.919
You're basically basically coaching, and then you will get a discount on these products.
00:03:21.919 --> 00:03:26.879
It's through a program called Beach Body, now called Body, Shanti, P90X, like those programs.
00:03:26.879 --> 00:03:30.000
So I ended up signing up and I was just like basically a discount coach.
00:03:30.000 --> 00:03:34.800
But essentially, through that, people started saying, like, hey, you're motivating, you're encouraging, you should be a coach.
00:03:34.800 --> 00:03:36.639
And I'm like, Yeah, yeah, I'm doing this health and fitness thing.
00:03:36.639 --> 00:03:37.680
Like, whatever I'm saying.
00:03:37.680 --> 00:03:38.560
They're like, No, no, no.
00:03:38.560 --> 00:03:44.800
Besides that, because a lot of the women in the group were balancing, you know, husband, kids, sometimes themselves working.
00:03:44.800 --> 00:03:47.120
And it was like, I want to meal prep and eat healthy.
00:03:47.120 --> 00:03:50.000
My kids don't, so how do I like fit all this stuff in?
00:03:50.000 --> 00:03:54.000
And so for years, people were like, you know, you're motivating, you should be you're encouraging, you should be a life coach.
00:03:54.000 --> 00:03:57.919
And people outside of that, like in my regular life, would be like, how do you do all these things?
00:03:57.919 --> 00:04:01.759
Because attorney was working out, meal prepping, doing all the different things.
00:04:01.759 --> 00:04:03.199
And I'm like, what are y'all talking about?
00:04:03.199 --> 00:04:04.080
Like, I just do it.
00:04:04.080 --> 00:04:06.879
It didn't seem complicated or stressful.
00:04:06.879 --> 00:04:07.919
It's normal.
00:04:07.919 --> 00:04:09.120
It's this is my life.
00:04:09.120 --> 00:04:12.240
And so again, you should be a life coach, you should be a life coach.
00:04:12.240 --> 00:04:13.759
And I'm like, what even is a life coach?
00:04:13.759 --> 00:04:20.720
Because back then, this is pre, this is like 2018, 16.
00:04:20.720 --> 00:04:23.519
Like, life coaching wasn't like as big and popular as it is now.
00:04:23.519 --> 00:04:23.759
Yeah.
00:04:23.759 --> 00:04:25.600
And I'm like, yeah, yeah, no one has time for that.
00:04:25.600 --> 00:04:27.120
Full-time attorney, who's got time?
00:04:27.120 --> 00:04:29.519
Let's fast forward to March of 2020.
00:04:29.519 --> 00:04:31.839
We all know what happened March of 2020.
00:04:31.839 --> 00:04:33.360
A lot of people are dumb.
00:04:33.360 --> 00:04:34.639
Exactly.
00:04:34.639 --> 00:04:46.240
So thankfully I didn't lose my job, but because, especially as an attorney, like we were sent home to work and we only literally had to come into the office like once a week, and they really were rotating it to where if you don't need to come in, like, don't come in.
00:04:46.240 --> 00:04:50.079
And so now I have nothing but time because I'm naturally a morning person.
00:04:50.079 --> 00:04:52.079
So essentially I kept my same routine.
00:04:52.079 --> 00:04:55.920
So every day by like lunchtime, I'm like, okay, I've done a day's worth of work.
00:04:55.920 --> 00:04:57.839
What am I gonna do with the rest of the day?
00:04:57.839 --> 00:05:03.199
Because they weren't caring about us being logged in from eight to five because now parents are teachers, all the things are happening.
00:05:03.199 --> 00:05:03.600
Yeah.
00:05:03.600 --> 00:05:07.519
And so about a week in, I'm like, I'm bored.
00:05:07.519 --> 00:05:12.240
I'm working out, I'm going for a walk, I'm reading, I'm doing puzzles, I'm watching TV.
00:05:12.240 --> 00:05:13.680
Like, I'm bored.
00:05:13.680 --> 00:05:14.480
Like, what else?
00:05:14.480 --> 00:05:18.959
And so then those thoughts of people saying you should be a coach started coming back and me saying I didn't have time.
00:05:18.959 --> 00:05:19.920
And I'm like, oh.
00:05:19.920 --> 00:05:23.519
And you know, once you start thinking about something, the algorithm starts showing it to you.
00:05:23.519 --> 00:05:27.600
So then Instagram and Facebook are feeding me all these if it adds about become a life coach.
00:05:27.600 --> 00:05:34.240
So I signed up for a couple of the different free webinars because probably the attorney and me, if I'm gonna do something, I'm gonna do it right.
00:05:34.240 --> 00:05:37.279
If I'm gonna say I'm gonna be a coach, I know you don't have to have certifications.
00:05:37.279 --> 00:05:41.360
I'm gonna sign up to figure out do I really want to do this and get some certification.
00:05:41.360 --> 00:05:45.759
So the program that I ultimately ended up going through to get certified, I made it halfway through the first video.
00:05:45.759 --> 00:05:47.759
First video was all of like five minutes.
00:05:47.759 --> 00:05:51.040
And I'm like, oh, I understand now.
00:05:51.040 --> 00:05:53.439
I understand why they say I should be doing this.
00:05:53.439 --> 00:05:54.160
I'm in.
00:05:54.879 --> 00:05:55.519
Yeah.
00:05:55.519 --> 00:05:57.439
Easy.
00:05:57.439 --> 00:05:58.560
Oh, I love that.
00:05:58.560 --> 00:06:00.319
I know I can totally relate.
00:06:00.319 --> 00:06:05.759
I know it's just, see, for me, my I remember March 2020 easily.
00:06:05.759 --> 00:06:09.199
I feel like a part of my life is still stuck there.
00:06:09.199 --> 00:06:11.680
It's like, did we ever get past that?
00:06:11.680 --> 00:06:12.319
I don't know.
00:06:12.319 --> 00:06:20.399
But it was a really full-on time for me because I was in insurance at the time and I did get to work from home even before COVID hit.
00:06:20.399 --> 00:06:23.199
But I had a team to look after.
00:06:23.199 --> 00:06:33.040
I had a four and a two-year-old at the time, and like juggling all of that, and daycares were shut and juggling 12 people, and it was full on.
00:06:33.040 --> 00:06:35.199
It was so full on.
00:06:35.199 --> 00:06:44.720
But after COVID and things settled down, and it was 2024 for me when God really spoke and was like, you're doing this.
00:06:44.720 --> 00:06:47.600
And I'm like, uh, and I just had my fourth kid by then.
00:06:47.600 --> 00:06:49.199
He was only seven weeks old.
00:06:49.199 --> 00:06:57.519
And I'm like, oh, but then at the same time, I'm like, but I guess I have time, and it's better that I do it now than before I go back to work.
00:06:57.519 --> 00:07:04.319
So once I was like, okay, okay, God, you're telling me life coaching, but what is it?
00:07:04.319 --> 00:07:08.079
And then I look into it, and five minutes in, I was like, okay, yeah, okay.
00:07:08.079 --> 00:07:12.240
Now I'm seeing how all these parts of my life come together.
00:07:12.240 --> 00:07:14.399
And it's just crazy.
00:07:14.399 --> 00:07:23.759
And even the fact that back when I was like 24, I did, uh I studied audio engineering, and now I'm using it for podcasting.
00:07:23.759 --> 00:07:30.399
And it's like all these things that I didn't think would ever piece together, and God's just brought it all together.
00:07:30.399 --> 00:07:33.680
And then I'm like, uh, okay, that makes sense.
00:07:33.680 --> 00:07:38.720
And he even gave me the name She's Organized for my main business, and nobody had it.
00:07:38.720 --> 00:07:40.399
So I'm like, okay, now it's mine.
00:07:40.399 --> 00:07:42.160
It's trademarked, mine for 10 years.
00:07:42.160 --> 00:07:44.000
So there you go.
00:07:44.000 --> 00:07:44.800
That's it.
00:07:44.800 --> 00:07:46.000
Do things properly, right?
00:07:46.000 --> 00:07:50.720
I like to follow the things legally as well as I'm sure you do too.
00:07:50.959 --> 00:07:52.959
And funny, funny that you say that.
00:07:52.959 --> 00:07:58.480
My business is actually called legally because the lee at coach lee, and then the legal.
00:07:58.480 --> 00:08:00.160
So I was like, that was a nod to the law.
00:08:00.160 --> 00:08:00.560
So yes.
00:08:00.800 --> 00:08:01.759
It's so cool.
00:08:01.759 --> 00:08:02.720
It's so cool.
00:08:02.720 --> 00:08:06.480
I did notice that with your Instagram as well.
00:08:06.480 --> 00:08:15.199
So I would love to hear how you mainly help people in your sphere and how you actually help them with coaching.
00:08:15.199 --> 00:08:22.639
And I I've seen a lot of your videos, particularly around being like a lawyer, an attorney, and that and being productive.
00:08:22.639 --> 00:08:25.519
So I'd love to hear a bit more about how you help people.
00:08:25.759 --> 00:08:31.439
I'm focusing on leaning more into the legal profession, mainly because I realize that when you talk to everyone, you talk to no one.
00:08:31.439 --> 00:08:34.320
And I have been hesitant and resisted to it for so long.
00:08:34.320 --> 00:08:41.919
But essentially, the idea of leaning into the legal profession is so that I can use my day-to-day life and use the examples from my life for other women to see themselves in it.
00:08:41.919 --> 00:08:49.519
So, whereas I'm gonna use a legal example for you, like when you were in insurance, you might be like, okay, she's talking about court, but this is where I would plug in my team meetings.
00:08:49.519 --> 00:08:52.480
And so now you can understand what that looks like for you.
00:08:52.480 --> 00:08:57.600
And so for me, it's all about one-on-one coaching because when it comes to productivity, there's no one size fits all approach.
00:08:57.600 --> 00:09:01.120
Like before we were recording, I was talking about how I get up at 2.30 in the morning.
00:09:01.120 --> 00:09:11.759
And while I will never advocate for one of my clients to wake up at 2.30 in the morning, I've been up since 2.30 in the morning and I've done my morning routine, my devotional, my reading, I meal prepped, I did a workout and I went for a run.
00:09:11.759 --> 00:09:16.639
And now here I am doing this podcast interview because it's nighttime for you, but it's morning time for me.
00:09:16.639 --> 00:09:22.159
And once we get off, I'm still gonna have about 30 minutes to an hour until it's time for me to log in to work because I'm working from home today.
00:09:22.159 --> 00:09:28.000
And so when it comes to productivity, that's the customization that each individual person needs.
00:09:28.000 --> 00:09:31.440
And especially, like you said in the bio, like as women, we play these different roles.
00:09:31.440 --> 00:09:34.399
Like, I don't have kids, but like you were saying, like you've got four kids.
00:09:34.399 --> 00:09:41.759
So what productivity looks like for you and how you organize and systematize your life for yourself, let alone the kids, is gonna be different.
00:09:41.759 --> 00:09:50.240
And so for me, that's why the one-on-one approach is important because in a group setting, no offense to anyone who does group coaching, the squeaky wheel gets degrees.
00:09:50.240 --> 00:09:55.120
So if you're a person to sit back and just let life happen to you, it's gonna keep happening to you.
00:09:55.120 --> 00:10:00.639
And so I'm all about helping you to find and figure out what works for you, your wake-up time, your bedtime, your structure.
00:10:00.639 --> 00:10:05.440
Like if every day needs to be different, let's create, like, let's almost like CEO theme your days.
00:10:05.440 --> 00:10:07.279
Like, what does that look like for you?
00:10:07.279 --> 00:10:11.120
Because if it's going to work, it has to work for you in order to stick.
00:10:11.440 --> 00:10:12.720
Yeah, I agree.
00:10:12.720 --> 00:10:25.919
And yeah, I do think you are right when it comes to that personalized coaching, because I do have a group coaching program, but honestly, it is the ones that speak up and ask for help that get that extra help.
00:10:25.919 --> 00:10:28.399
And I even say you can only do so much.
00:10:28.399 --> 00:10:36.480
Like there's the group coaching calls, there's, you know, training and resources in there, but there's a reason why it's a cheap membership.
00:10:36.480 --> 00:10:40.159
There's a reason because it's not personalized.
00:10:40.159 --> 00:10:41.840
I can only help you so much.
00:10:41.840 --> 00:10:56.399
If you want to know how things are gonna look throughout your week and how to dive in deeper, how to manage your time better, how to sort your house out, whatever it is, then that one-on-one coaching is what is needed.
00:10:56.399 --> 00:10:59.679
So I completely, completely hear you with that.
00:10:59.679 --> 00:11:05.360
And I don't know about you, but I know for me, I like having that one-on-one time with people.
00:11:05.360 --> 00:11:07.759
I like getting to know them exactly.
00:11:07.840 --> 00:11:13.679
Because once I get to know you, I can understand you, and then I can go for following each other on social media when I see something happening.
00:11:13.679 --> 00:11:15.279
I'm like, I'm proud of that.
00:11:15.279 --> 00:11:18.559
Or I'm like, we're gonna bring that up in the next session.
00:11:20.080 --> 00:11:23.279
Yeah, I hear you, I hear you.
00:11:23.279 --> 00:11:35.360
So, in your experience, what do you think is the main challenge or the main problem that you see in your sphere when it comes to productivity?
00:11:38.000 --> 00:11:39.759
I'm trying to do what works for other people.
00:11:39.759 --> 00:11:44.879
I think a big part of it is trying to focus on what someone else says.
00:11:44.879 --> 00:11:50.480
We live in this microwave society because we have access to all these things that we have squirrel brains.
00:11:50.480 --> 00:11:56.960
We're trying to so busy trying to hop and jump to the next thing that we don't often sit down and just like focus and lock in.
00:11:56.960 --> 00:12:00.559
You're at work, you're working on, you know, you're checking your emails, the phone rings.
00:12:00.559 --> 00:12:02.480
Now I'm done checking emails, I'm answering the phone.
00:12:02.480 --> 00:12:04.639
Now my coworker comes in to ask me a question.
00:12:04.639 --> 00:12:06.159
Oh, now my boss needs me.
00:12:06.159 --> 00:12:07.679
Oh, my calendar reminder went off.
00:12:07.679 --> 00:12:09.440
Now it's time for me to do this appointment.
00:12:09.440 --> 00:12:12.639
And that email is still there waiting to be finished.
00:12:12.639 --> 00:12:13.600
Yeah.
00:12:13.600 --> 00:12:28.320
We don't, and and I get that in different roles and in different careers, you have different, you know, levels of access to your computer and not computer, excuse me, your calendar in terms of who can access it, adding things to it, taking things off, things like that.
00:12:28.320 --> 00:12:31.519
But at the end of the day, we still have access to our calendar.
00:12:31.519 --> 00:12:35.279
So what blocks are you putting in place to make sure that things are structured?
00:12:35.279 --> 00:12:39.360
Like what communication are you having if people have access to your calendar, for example?
00:12:39.360 --> 00:12:44.559
If something involves travel, are they putting the travel time on there or are they just expecting you to know that it involves travel?
00:12:44.559 --> 00:12:50.320
Because the default reminder of everything going off 15 minutes in advance, if it takes you 30 minutes to get there, you're already late.
00:12:50.320 --> 00:12:55.440
And so now we're rushing and running around, stressing ourselves out, which is going to start putting us behind.
00:12:55.440 --> 00:12:55.679
Yeah.
00:12:55.679 --> 00:12:59.759
And so I think the biggest issue is that we don't actually take time to plan.
00:12:59.759 --> 00:13:04.399
Like we don't actually take time to look at our calendar, even if you only look at it a day in advance.
00:13:04.399 --> 00:13:08.240
You're getting to work at eight o'clock and looking at your calendar to figure out what's going on today.
00:13:08.240 --> 00:13:18.080
When if you would have looked at it last night, you would have saw that, oh, I probably should bring my lunch because I got back-to-back meetings and I'm not gonna have time to run out and get the lunch that I thought I was gonna go get.
00:13:18.080 --> 00:13:29.120
So just taking a couple minutes to pause to like actually look at what's going on instead of running from thing to thing and responding to other people's emergencies, because their emergencies likely aren't your emergencies.
00:13:29.360 --> 00:13:30.320
Yeah, yeah.
00:13:30.320 --> 00:13:31.600
I I hear you.
00:13:31.600 --> 00:13:33.120
And and it's so true.
00:13:33.120 --> 00:13:48.639
I I love to say to my my women that it, if you can at least take just five minutes the night before to just look at the next day ahead rather than in the morning, because like you said, it might be too late.
00:13:48.639 --> 00:13:54.879
And I I know for me, I like to look over my next day and just go, yep, okay, all my ducks are in a row.
00:13:54.879 --> 00:13:56.960
Everything's kind of ready to go.
00:13:56.960 --> 00:14:02.720
And sometimes I like if I'm starting work at eight, I generally am starting at eight.
00:14:02.720 --> 00:14:06.960
But I might look and go, oh goodness, I actually have to make a phone call at eight.
00:14:06.960 --> 00:14:22.639
So if I like, if I'm not aware of what I've got to do and I'm like logging in, doing everything at eight, and then it's like, oh, I'm already late to calling someone, like, you know, so it's just it I like to just be on top of it.
00:14:22.639 --> 00:14:31.440
But then I can also go, okay, kids have to be out the door by a certain amount of time and all that kind of stuff as well, because it's hard enough juggling kids.
00:14:31.440 --> 00:14:34.159
Plus, I need to work out, is my husband taking them?
00:14:34.159 --> 00:14:35.200
Do I need to take them?
00:14:35.200 --> 00:14:39.200
If I'm taking them, they're gonna wake up even earlier because I start work at A.
00:14:39.200 --> 00:14:42.960
If he's taking them, he doesn't start till nine, so gives a bit of time.
00:14:42.960 --> 00:14:44.080
It's all those things.
00:14:44.080 --> 00:14:46.799
It's just it's too much to deal with in the morning.
00:14:46.799 --> 00:14:58.639
And I know that if and it has happened, but if my mornings aren't as well prepared, then I am stressed for more of the day.
00:14:58.639 --> 00:15:07.279
But if I have some sort of plan, even if it doesn't go fully to plan, but if I have a rough plan the night before, I wake up feeling just so much more calm.
00:15:07.279 --> 00:15:11.519
And then I'm not snapping at the kids, I'm not like rushing my husband along.
00:15:11.519 --> 00:15:13.840
I'm just okay, we're good.
00:15:13.840 --> 00:15:15.360
Now I got time, it's all good.
00:15:15.360 --> 00:15:16.159
Let's go.
00:15:16.159 --> 00:15:18.240
Exactly.
00:15:18.240 --> 00:15:21.200
I'm a better mum, I'm a better version of me.
00:15:21.200 --> 00:15:27.279
I actually like myself instead of that's it, that's it.
00:15:27.279 --> 00:15:30.879
So I think what you're saying is is very on point.
00:15:30.879 --> 00:15:40.960
And um, I would love to know what's one thing that you would love women to know out there to help them in their journey.
00:15:41.519 --> 00:15:43.759
Productivity isn't complicated.
00:15:43.759 --> 00:15:47.279
Because really, when you think about productivity, productivity is you doing.
00:15:47.279 --> 00:15:49.200
We do all day long.
00:15:49.200 --> 00:15:57.039
But are you doing the right things, the things that are gonna make your life easier, make your life more efficient, the things that are gonna actually move the needle forward?
00:15:57.039 --> 00:16:03.200
Because how many things do we do throughout the day that are like, no offense, but pointless.
00:16:03.200 --> 00:16:15.200
Like there's plenty of things that we do that we're like, oh, you get to the end of the day, you're like, I wish I wouldn't have wasted time, or you think about the things you didn't get done, and then you're like, you don't necessarily think about the things you did instead of the things you didn't get done.
00:16:15.200 --> 00:16:21.840
So I want people to know that like it's not that complicated to be productive because productivity is about doing and accomplishing.
00:16:21.840 --> 00:16:28.080
We do and accomplish a lot, but is it the right things or the things that's gonna move you forward?
00:16:28.399 --> 00:16:29.200
That's true.
00:16:29.200 --> 00:16:38.399
It is more like it's it's the tool, really, to just help you live the life that you want to be living.
00:16:38.399 --> 00:16:46.080
It's and and that's sort of when I even say she's organized to people or even beyond organized with the podcast.
00:16:46.080 --> 00:16:49.679
It's like organizing isn't the end goal.
00:16:49.679 --> 00:16:53.759
It's getting to a point where you can have that balance.
00:16:53.759 --> 00:17:00.879
So you're feeling like you're in control of your life and in your day as much as God allows.
00:17:00.879 --> 00:17:12.799
And then you and then you can actually get on with things that are important to you, the relationships, the, I don't know, cooking, whatever it is you want to do, that you can actually live your life and enjoy it.
00:17:12.799 --> 00:17:15.039
And this helps you facilitate that.
00:17:15.039 --> 00:17:16.880
And it's this, it's the same thing.
00:17:16.880 --> 00:17:32.160
Like with productivity, I find that if because look, I used to go too far the other way where I was so overorganized that I was miserable as well because everything was so strict and rigid and there was no grace in there.
00:17:32.160 --> 00:17:34.319
There's no flexibility.
00:17:34.319 --> 00:17:43.599
And so, and I think a lot of people, even when they think of productivity, when they're quite sort of disorganized, they think that.
00:17:43.599 --> 00:17:45.599
They think, I'm gonna be so miserable.
00:17:45.599 --> 00:17:51.839
I'm gonna, my whole life is gonna be controlled, and I'm a spontaneous free bird, and I don't like that.
00:17:51.839 --> 00:17:54.480
But it's not even like that at all.
00:17:54.480 --> 00:17:56.400
It really doesn't have to be.
00:17:56.400 --> 00:18:00.079
When it doesn't really matter what your personality is, right?
00:18:00.079 --> 00:18:06.720
Like however you want to live your life, it's it's finding, as you said, working one-on-one with people.
00:18:06.720 --> 00:18:11.359
It's finding that balance that's for you and that works for you.
00:18:11.359 --> 00:18:15.839
Because what I can tell you now, I'm not getting up at 2:30 in the morning.
00:18:15.839 --> 00:18:18.480
I'm not doing what you do.
00:18:18.480 --> 00:18:21.519
But at the same time, you're not gonna do what I do.
00:18:21.519 --> 00:18:22.960
Like, why would you?
00:18:22.960 --> 00:18:26.720
Because we have different lives and and it's okay.
00:18:26.720 --> 00:18:33.440
And I think it's important to realize that being productive just means you're moving the needle forward.
00:18:33.440 --> 00:18:36.480
You actually achieve something in the day, right?
00:18:36.480 --> 00:18:42.640
And so you can get to the end of the day when your head hits the pillow and go, yeah, okay, got some stuff done.
00:18:42.640 --> 00:18:43.519
That was good.
00:18:43.519 --> 00:18:45.119
Let's round tomorrow.
00:18:45.119 --> 00:18:47.039
Exactly.
00:18:47.039 --> 00:18:48.960
Yeah, it's good.
00:18:48.960 --> 00:19:00.480
So if somebody wants to get in touch with you, wants to get coached by you, maybe even wants to grab your book, where's the best place to find you?
00:19:00.720 --> 00:19:03.359
I am at legal e thatme everywhere.
00:19:03.359 --> 00:19:11.440
Um, it's L-E-G-A-L-L-E-E.me website, Instagram, TikTok, like so all the social media handles.
00:19:11.440 --> 00:19:13.519
Um and yeah, just reach out.
00:19:13.519 --> 00:19:16.480
My book's on Amazon, so you can get the book off Amazon now.
00:19:16.799 --> 00:19:20.720
I would love to hear just uh just before we sort of wrap up, we've got a few minutes.
00:19:20.720 --> 00:19:24.160
I'd love to hear a little bit about your book and what you've put in there.
00:19:24.160 --> 00:19:27.200
So here's the funny thing about my book.
00:19:27.440 --> 00:19:36.000
I wrote my book like in like my first year of coaching, and then it set for like two years before I found, like, figured out find someone to help me with publishing, doing the KDP, all the things.
00:19:36.000 --> 00:19:37.119
Because I'm like, okay, I wrote it.
00:19:37.119 --> 00:19:38.960
I've died trying to figure out that.
00:19:38.960 --> 00:19:42.880
Like how you were saying, like, I did audio engineering, so I knew how to do all of that for this podcast.
00:19:42.880 --> 00:19:45.039
Yeah, no, I'm not trying to figure out how to become a publisher.
00:19:45.039 --> 00:19:46.720
Find somebody else to do it.
00:19:46.720 --> 00:19:46.960
Yeah.
00:19:46.960 --> 00:19:59.359
But in going back and reading and editing it after letting it sit for two years, like, it's it's funny how much if you trust yourself, you realize that you've had the answers all along.
00:19:59.359 --> 00:20:02.640
So I started coaching after writing the book.
00:20:02.640 --> 00:20:08.400
Well, I guess I was coaching while I was writing the book, but like, you know, I was like, oh, I need to develop this framework, this framework, this framework.
00:20:08.400 --> 00:20:14.160
When I went back to started editing my book, and I was like, girl, your framework is in the book.
00:20:14.160 --> 00:20:16.000
Did you forget that you put that in there?
00:20:16.000 --> 00:20:17.519
Yeah.
00:20:17.519 --> 00:20:22.559
So basically, my book is called Lee's Laws of Productivity, but it's about literally simplifying productivity.
00:20:22.559 --> 00:20:26.880
The Lee method is three simple words look, examine, and execute.
00:20:26.880 --> 00:20:35.680
It's about taking the big picture, is the looking part, examining is kind of that nitty-gritty working to figure out what pieces need to go together and executing.
00:20:35.680 --> 00:20:36.640
Go do it.
00:20:36.640 --> 00:20:42.000
And so when you think about productivity, when you think about doing, it's what do I need to do?
00:20:42.000 --> 00:20:43.359
How am I gonna do it?
00:20:43.359 --> 00:20:44.640
And let me go do.
00:20:44.640 --> 00:20:45.359
I love that.
00:20:45.359 --> 00:21:02.559
And so literally the lead method can work for literally anything: mealcrafting, grocery shopping, picking out your clothes, figuring out what time you want to wake up, starting a podcast, recording a podcast, writing a book, like literally anything that you need to do typically involves a plan.
00:21:02.559 --> 00:21:10.400
Yes, you can be spontaneous, but even in the midst of being spontaneous, like once it's time for you to go do the thing, like you decided you wanted to be spontaneous.
00:21:10.400 --> 00:21:14.240
Then you had to figure out the thing you were gonna be spontaneous about, and you still wouldn't get it.
00:21:14.240 --> 00:21:15.279
Yeah.
00:21:15.279 --> 00:21:25.359
So like literally the lead method is showing just how simple productivity can be, how simple planning could be, um, and how you can apply it to like literally in every area of your life.
00:21:25.519 --> 00:21:26.799
Yeah, I like that.
00:21:26.799 --> 00:21:27.839
I really like that.
00:21:27.839 --> 00:21:30.480
I think it is nice and simple, and I like simple.
00:21:30.480 --> 00:21:32.240
Yeah, I think a lot of people like simple.
00:21:32.240 --> 00:21:40.079
And I know with me, I've got three steps as well, but with organizing, probably more so than productivity specifically.
00:21:40.079 --> 00:21:47.359
And it's the identify, so it's, you know, see where there might be, even just limiting beliefs on certain things, you know.
00:21:47.359 --> 00:21:56.160
So it can work for any kind of organizing physically, mentally, spiritually, but identify and then simplify.
00:21:56.160 --> 00:21:57.599
There's the note, there's a second one.
00:21:57.599 --> 00:21:59.839
Simplify, and I've got my own method inside of that too.
00:21:59.839 --> 00:22:02.640
And then I couldn't even think of a word.
00:22:02.640 --> 00:22:03.920
So I came up with flow.
00:22:03.920 --> 00:22:08.240
So it's the maintenance side of things, like actually the day-to-day living it, living through it.
00:22:08.240 --> 00:22:10.480
So it's just identify, simplify, flow.
00:22:10.960 --> 00:22:15.119
And that's almost like if you translate that over to the lead method, like look, identify.
00:22:15.119 --> 00:22:15.680
Exactly.
00:22:15.680 --> 00:22:17.359
Simplify is examine.
00:22:17.359 --> 00:22:19.759
The maintenance or the doing is the execution.
00:22:19.920 --> 00:22:21.039
Yeah, execute is such.
00:22:21.039 --> 00:22:23.599
I wish I came up with that word.
00:22:23.599 --> 00:22:25.359
It's much better than flow.
00:22:25.359 --> 00:22:26.480
But that's fine.
00:22:26.480 --> 00:22:30.640
It's it's the the core of it is the same, really.
00:22:30.640 --> 00:22:32.480
It's which is great.
00:22:32.480 --> 00:22:43.200
But isn't it great how even in our differences and the the the overall laws of it are still the same?
00:22:43.200 --> 00:22:58.720
And it doesn't matter your background, my background, thousands of other people in the productivity and organizing spaces probably all have the same type of things because at the end of the day, this is what works.
00:22:58.720 --> 00:23:01.920
We've lived it, we go through it, it works.
00:23:01.920 --> 00:23:04.720
Your method works for you, my method works for me.
00:23:04.720 --> 00:23:06.400
They're very similar.
00:23:06.400 --> 00:23:07.359
Great.
00:23:07.359 --> 00:23:10.720
We're telling you this is what it is.
00:23:10.720 --> 00:23:11.519
Do it.
00:23:11.519 --> 00:23:12.799
Literally.
00:23:12.799 --> 00:23:14.319
It's not that hard.
00:23:14.319 --> 00:23:15.279
That's it.
00:23:15.279 --> 00:23:17.599
And the whole point is to simplify.
00:23:17.599 --> 00:23:19.119
It is to make things easier.
00:23:19.119 --> 00:23:21.680
So then you can get on with what's important in the day.
00:23:21.920 --> 00:23:24.240
So you can always complicate it later.
00:23:24.240 --> 00:23:35.440
Like when it comes to like a morning routine, when it comes to anything, anything, like simplify it first, get consistent with it, and then grow it and expand it and you know add on different pieces or whatever the case may be.
00:23:35.440 --> 00:23:36.079
Definitely.
00:23:36.240 --> 00:23:44.240
And I think as women, not speaking for all women, but I know a good chunk of us, we can't overcomplicate things.
00:23:44.240 --> 00:23:49.759
We can make things become completely unnecessary a lot of the time.
00:23:49.759 --> 00:23:53.039
We just make it more complex than it needs to be.
00:23:53.039 --> 00:24:02.799
And when we can just stop or re-evaluate, just simplify this process, and then you can actually move forward because we're overwhelmed a lot of the time, aren't we?
00:24:02.799 --> 00:24:04.960
We just we end up being stuck.
00:24:04.960 --> 00:24:08.720
And that's what you help with, that's what I help with.
00:24:08.720 --> 00:24:10.880
Because who wants to be stuck?
00:24:10.880 --> 00:24:13.359
You know, even even one more day.
00:24:13.359 --> 00:24:16.640
It's a day wasted, and nobody wants to waste a day.
00:24:16.640 --> 00:24:22.880
You don't want to get to the end of your life and look back and just think, oh my goodness, half my life I was standing still.
00:24:22.880 --> 00:24:25.440
You know, it just Yeah.
00:24:25.759 --> 00:24:33.039
I mean, we literally don't want to waste a day because think about how often when you waste a day, you're like, oh, you're beating yourself up about the wasted time that you wasted.
00:24:33.039 --> 00:24:35.440
So literally, you don't want to waste a day.
00:24:35.680 --> 00:24:36.319
Yeah, yeah.
00:24:36.319 --> 00:24:41.279
And plus tomorrow's not guaranteed morbid, but tomorrow's not guaranteed, right?
00:24:41.279 --> 00:24:42.160
Right.
00:24:42.160 --> 00:24:45.200
So you just want to make the most of today.
00:24:45.200 --> 00:24:49.680
So when that day does come, you can go, okay, yep.
00:24:49.680 --> 00:24:53.920
I did everything that I was put on this earth to do and no regrets.
00:24:54.160 --> 00:24:54.400
Yeah.
00:24:54.400 --> 00:25:04.000
They talk about like the graveyard um has or the graveyard cemetery, whichever front form you use, has like the most potential because people die with all this possibility within them.
00:25:04.000 --> 00:25:06.720
And my goal is to die empty.
00:25:06.720 --> 00:25:15.519
So have given and done, left an impact that I feel good about like, okay, like whether I know it's my day or not.
00:25:15.519 --> 00:25:19.039
Like, yeah, I'm happy with what I got accomplished.
00:25:19.200 --> 00:25:20.640
Yeah, I hear you.
00:25:20.640 --> 00:25:32.960
And I think sometimes, you know, I sometimes I can even get caught up in that so much so that I'm too busy thinking about the future that I kind of need to bring it back and go, hang on, what am I called to today?
00:25:32.960 --> 00:25:34.880
What's God even asking me to do today?
00:25:34.880 --> 00:25:39.680
And just being obedient in that and not trying to take on the whole world either.
00:25:39.680 --> 00:25:42.160
Just because I can doesn't mean I should.
00:25:42.480 --> 00:25:42.960
Right.
00:25:43.200 --> 00:25:43.599
Right.
00:25:43.599 --> 00:25:45.759
So like literally, we're not God.
00:25:45.759 --> 00:25:46.640
He's got this.
00:25:46.640 --> 00:25:47.039
Yeah.
00:25:47.039 --> 00:25:48.480
We're just understeady.
00:25:48.480 --> 00:25:49.519
We're just here to help.
00:25:49.519 --> 00:25:50.240
Exactly.
00:25:50.240 --> 00:26:00.000
And I've got to say, there's probably times in my life when I've been a lot more jam-packed in my schedule and a lot more full on than even now.
00:26:00.000 --> 00:26:02.400
But I'm okay with that.
00:26:02.400 --> 00:26:10.160
Like, I like having some buffer, having some margin to allow for life to happen because it's gonna happen.
00:26:10.160 --> 00:26:39.279
So anyway, uh, well, look, I think that there is a lot of things that we could talk about with productivity, but I love that we just got started on the things that you do and how you're and I love how you're pushing into helping your niche more as well, and actually helping those particularly in the law space, but it's easily trans translated to any business woman, really, I think is fantastic.
00:26:39.279 --> 00:26:50.240
And do you find that you've got quite an audience of lawyers, attorneys, and people in the law space that are needing that productivity advice more?
00:26:51.839 --> 00:26:52.480
Yes.
00:26:52.480 --> 00:26:56.880
And I think now that I'm real so like I'm at work, I'm the go-to person.
00:26:56.880 --> 00:27:00.319
Like when the new hires start, they're like, hey girl, can you get them organized?
00:27:00.319 --> 00:27:01.359
And thank you.
00:27:01.359 --> 00:27:02.480
Yeah.
00:27:02.480 --> 00:27:07.680
But also, like my content, especially this month, because I'm gearing up for a masterclass.
00:27:07.680 --> 00:27:13.359
And like, so officially, like June 1st is when I was like, okay, officially going all in on the legal legal space.
00:27:13.359 --> 00:27:19.119
Like, I've been toying with it coming into this year, but I like dibble dabbling, going here, going there.
00:27:19.119 --> 00:27:21.359
So June 1st, I really started leaning in.
00:27:21.359 --> 00:27:25.839
And like, so my coworkers have been commenting on my post, and I'm like, I know you in real life.
00:27:25.839 --> 00:27:30.079
And so when I like, so I'll do like a reply reel, it's like, I know you in real life.
00:27:30.079 --> 00:27:31.599
So this is what I'm gonna tell you to do.
00:27:31.599 --> 00:27:33.680
Because I know you in real life.
00:27:33.680 --> 00:27:37.039
But also, let me walk around to your office and be like, girl, get it together.
00:27:37.039 --> 00:27:38.640
Because why are you doing that?
00:27:38.640 --> 00:27:42.160
So I think it definitely is helping.
00:27:42.160 --> 00:27:46.880
And when I look back over like the time of me coaching, like my best clients were lawyers.
00:27:46.880 --> 00:27:54.559
Like, yes, I've helped other people as well, but I was like, I think it's because I truly understand court having to travel, do this, this, and that.
00:27:54.559 --> 00:28:01.359
And once I lean in and like honed in on that, I can now connect it to potentially other people in other areas.
00:28:01.359 --> 00:28:05.200
You know, once we have a conversation to figure out, like, is working together a good idea?
00:28:05.200 --> 00:28:24.799
But yeah, I would definitely say, like, now that I've been like leaning in on the legal, it's opened up opportunities and it's helping me to be clearer about even the systems that I've changed for myself year to year within my own job, within my own career, because the end September will be 13 years that I've been an attorney.
00:28:24.799 --> 00:28:28.400
I don't do stuff the same way as then.
00:28:29.680 --> 00:28:30.880
Yeah, I love that.
00:28:30.880 --> 00:28:37.920
And I love that the more you lean into the direction that you're being led down.
00:28:37.920 --> 00:28:38.880
Literally.
00:28:38.880 --> 00:28:40.640
I'm like, okay, Lord, I'm gonna stop buying it.
00:28:40.640 --> 00:28:42.319
I got it, got it.
00:28:42.319 --> 00:28:51.039
Well, you become who you need to be in the process, but it's all translatable skills and information, right?
00:28:51.039 --> 00:29:01.920
So you then you can help people that aren't necessarily lawyers, but you you're so clear in how you do things, you go, yeah, I could easily see how that would work for you in your industry and what you do.
00:29:01.920 --> 00:29:11.759
And it just makes things easier because I was like you at the start, where it's like I try to talk to everyone, crickets, there was no one.
00:29:11.759 --> 00:29:19.839
And then last year, the Lord was like, I really want you to speak to the Christian mums, not every other mum.
00:29:19.839 --> 00:29:24.160
And yes, I've got plenty of people in my circle still that are not Christians, and they're more than welcome.
00:29:24.160 --> 00:29:26.240
And I love helping them too.
00:29:26.240 --> 00:29:31.200
But since being more in the Christian space, I'm like fully me.
00:29:31.200 --> 00:29:43.759
I the way that I do things, because I don't just talk about time management and home management, I talk about time stewardship and you know, financial stewardship and all that stuff too.
00:29:43.759 --> 00:29:47.039
It's it's different, it's not the same thing.
00:29:47.039 --> 00:29:56.319
And when you are coming from an angle of you're not just managing things, but you're you're looking after and you're taking care of something that God has entrusted to you.
00:29:56.319 --> 00:29:57.519
It's different.
00:29:57.519 --> 00:30:05.839
And so, and that has been something that I've been learning and growing in even just more this year, in this process of stepping more into it.
00:30:05.839 --> 00:30:12.480
I'm like, okay, now I'm starting to see where I sit differently to everyone else in this space.
00:30:12.480 --> 00:30:20.480
Like, you know, and finding myself, but then that builds my confidence and my ability to be able to help the person in front of me a lot more.
00:30:20.480 --> 00:30:24.559
And yeah, I don't have to speak to the Christian mums, I can speak to anyone.
00:30:24.559 --> 00:30:29.759
But this is what you get because I know who I am now and I know what I offer.
00:30:29.759 --> 00:30:33.599
And so that confidence then translates into something else, right?
00:30:33.759 --> 00:30:43.039
So yeah, I completely resonate with that because like I made the decision that because like I already had content that was recorded for May, because I trip typically the planning part of me, like I batched my content.
00:30:43.039 --> 00:30:55.680
And so, like in May is kind of when this started coming up, and then like I had a conversation with like my coach and my mastermind, and then the next day I had did an interview that was like on paralegal community, and then she wanted to do like a partnership.
00:30:55.680 --> 00:31:04.240
And then I was like, okay, I'm gonna start toying with it during the month of May, but come June first, I'm gonna officially go all in just because I'm not gonna re-report this content.
00:31:04.240 --> 00:31:14.079
And so like I was toying with it, and then like three days later, like I did a live, and like I was using the legal examples, and then a girl came on, she ended up in like my DMs, she signed up as a client to work with me one-on-one.
00:31:14.079 --> 00:31:17.519
She's not an attorney, she's an entrepreneur.
00:31:17.519 --> 00:31:18.079
Yeah.
00:31:18.079 --> 00:31:20.880
And I was like, okay, God, God wink.
00:31:20.880 --> 00:31:23.359
Lean into the legal, you still can speak to the others.
00:31:23.359 --> 00:31:24.000
Got it.
00:31:24.000 --> 00:31:25.039
Understood.
00:31:25.039 --> 00:31:26.640
Thank you for this confirmation.
00:31:26.640 --> 00:31:27.759
And now I'm willing.
00:31:27.759 --> 00:31:43.119
I was working on doing it, but now like seeing it in action up, I leaned in, and then this person who is in no way an attorney, who's literally an entrepreneur, has her own business, resonated, was in my DM and was like, girl, I think I need to work with you.
00:31:43.359 --> 00:31:44.000
Yeah.
00:31:44.000 --> 00:31:45.200
Perfect.
00:31:45.200 --> 00:31:46.319
And and that's it.
00:31:46.319 --> 00:31:51.759
God has your people lined up for you, the same as he does for me.
00:31:51.759 --> 00:31:59.359
And when we're just obedient to what he says and to what he's asking of us, then those people can find us, you know?
00:31:59.359 --> 00:32:00.319
Then we're ready.
00:32:00.319 --> 00:32:01.200
He's ready.
00:32:01.200 --> 00:32:05.359
He goes, Okay, Lee, you are ready for this person now.
00:32:05.359 --> 00:32:07.920
Because I needed you to be obedient in this thing.
00:32:07.920 --> 00:32:09.119
Now I know you've got it.
00:32:09.119 --> 00:32:10.559
You're gonna take care of her.
00:32:10.559 --> 00:32:11.599
Fantastic.
00:32:11.599 --> 00:32:19.359
Like it just happens, and sometimes you can be banging your head against the wall for a very long time, and it can be very, very frustrating.
00:32:19.359 --> 00:32:27.599
But then all of a sudden, you things shift, you turn that corner, and you're just like, Okay, God, now I see.
00:32:27.599 --> 00:32:30.559
Now I see all that persistence.
00:32:31.759 --> 00:32:38.559
So, like five years from now, we're gonna look back on this moment and be like, where do why do we ever doubt leaning into Christian women, leaning into the legal field?
00:32:38.559 --> 00:32:42.799
Like, why was that like why do we ever think that we should not do that?
00:32:43.039 --> 00:32:44.799
I know, I know, I know.
00:32:44.799 --> 00:32:49.920
Once you've had that experience and that revelation, it's like, well, duh, why didn't I?
00:32:49.920 --> 00:32:53.680
But until you do that, you just there's fear.
00:32:53.680 --> 00:32:56.319
Yeah, you just don't know how it's gonna go.
00:32:56.319 --> 00:32:58.960
And am I gonna lose the few people I've got?
00:32:58.960 --> 00:33:01.119
Like, and all of that.
00:33:01.119 --> 00:33:04.799
So You're speaking of saying, same, same.
00:33:04.799 --> 00:33:07.920
It's funny how you can go through all of that.
00:33:07.920 --> 00:33:12.000
And I know that my audience listening aren't necessarily business moms.
00:33:12.000 --> 00:33:25.759
I know there's quite a few that are, but I feel like even if they don't have a business like ours, then there is something that they can relate to in this because it applies to all into obedience with something, right?
00:33:26.480 --> 00:33:27.680
Yeah, it applies for life.
00:33:27.680 --> 00:33:36.559
Like your decision to invest in working with a coach, joining a membership, to seeking help and getting help, your ability to think that I can do things differently.
00:33:36.559 --> 00:33:39.440
Like my house doesn't have to be disorganized.
00:33:39.440 --> 00:33:43.759
I don't have to be like frazzled running through the day, like without a plan.
00:33:43.759 --> 00:33:53.119
Like it like it applies because so often I find that people are hesitant to, like you were saying, like you're talking about the rigidity of like a schedule.
00:33:53.119 --> 00:34:02.319
People are so hesitant to like work on being productive because they think it's gonna be this every minute of my day has to be like itemized, but it doesn't have to be.
00:34:02.319 --> 00:34:10.159
So yeah, I think this conversation, like even like us discussing how it looked like for us, it it take that and apply that to life.
00:34:10.159 --> 00:34:14.000
Take that and apply into you know joining a membership, working with us, like whatever the case may be.
00:34:14.000 --> 00:34:14.239
Yeah.
00:34:14.320 --> 00:34:15.039
Well, investing in.
00:34:15.039 --> 00:34:23.280
I can tell you now, when I work with my clients, almost all of them, I don't think, I don't think there's a single person that I haven't done this for.
00:34:23.280 --> 00:34:26.079
And it's I've had about a hundred people now.
00:34:26.079 --> 00:34:43.199
But every single one of them, we bring up rest and scheduling in downtime for them, time, however that looks, for them, some people love to go for a run, other people love to sit and do their crocheting.
00:34:43.199 --> 00:34:45.280
Like everyone is different.
00:34:45.280 --> 00:34:51.840
But that's almost the first thing that I look at when I'm looking at their week and how things go.
00:34:51.840 --> 00:34:55.360
It's like, okay, so where's your where's your time in this?
00:34:55.360 --> 00:34:56.639
Where's your downtime?
00:34:56.639 --> 00:35:03.039
Where's your time to journal or pray or whatever is important to them, you know?
00:35:03.039 --> 00:35:06.480
And they're just like, oh, but I've got kids and I'm doing this.
00:35:06.480 --> 00:35:12.159
And from the minute they wake up to the minute they go to sleep, it's filled up with everyone else and everything else.
00:35:12.159 --> 00:35:15.599
And it's like, yeah, now I can see why you're burning out.
00:35:15.599 --> 00:35:18.320
You can't pour from an empty cup.
00:35:18.320 --> 00:35:26.880
So I'm sure you experience the same thing that, and when to be more productive, you gotta have that downtime, right?
00:35:26.880 --> 00:35:28.559
You gotta have that time to refuel.
00:35:28.559 --> 00:35:30.079
You can't pour from an empty cup.
00:35:30.079 --> 00:35:30.480
Exactly.
00:35:30.800 --> 00:35:32.079
You have to give from the overflow.
00:35:32.079 --> 00:35:37.840
If you don't feel your cup burst, you're gonna be resentful about having to do for other people, even if it's your own team.
00:35:38.400 --> 00:35:43.519
And so people are thinking, oh, I've got no more time to give, to be more productive.
00:35:43.519 --> 00:35:48.000
It's like a lot of the time, we're pulling things out of your schedule.
00:35:48.000 --> 00:35:49.840
Oh no, but I can't let anything go.
00:35:49.840 --> 00:35:51.039
Everything has to be there.
00:35:51.039 --> 00:35:53.679
Yeah, well, that's what we're here for.
00:35:53.679 --> 00:35:57.039
Because trust me, we will find something.
00:35:58.320 --> 00:36:03.280
So we will find the time for where you can actually fit this in if you the thing that you think you don't have time for.
00:36:04.079 --> 00:36:05.760
Yeah, yeah, that too.
00:36:05.760 --> 00:36:07.039
Yeah, I don't have time.
00:36:07.039 --> 00:36:11.039
Oh, but I've scrolled through my Facebook feed for about three hours today.
00:36:11.039 --> 00:36:14.400
So you just binge washed a show.
00:36:14.400 --> 00:36:15.679
Tell me more about that.
00:36:15.679 --> 00:36:18.320
Yeah, five seasons.
00:36:18.320 --> 00:36:19.119
Wow.
00:36:19.119 --> 00:36:21.519
Yeah, I know.
00:36:21.519 --> 00:36:24.960
I'm sure either one of us could help with that.
00:36:24.960 --> 00:36:29.199
Anyway, I feel like I could just keep talking on and on and on.
00:36:29.199 --> 00:36:31.119
But let's wrap it up for today.
00:36:31.119 --> 00:36:38.639
I am so grateful to have you, and I'm so glad we got to connect because I love connecting with a fellow organized person.
00:36:38.639 --> 00:36:40.800
So it was really good.
00:36:42.000 --> 00:36:43.039
Thank you for having me.
00:36:43.039 --> 00:36:44.079
I appreciate it as well.
00:36:44.079 --> 00:36:45.840
I'm glad that we were able to make this happen.
00:36:46.159 --> 00:36:47.039
No, me too.
00:36:47.039 --> 00:36:56.079
And I'll make sure that all the details are in the show notes for people to find you, find your book, and get in touch with you if they're wanting some extra coaching from you.
00:36:56.079 --> 00:37:01.360
We'll have everything there, make it nice and easy, and yeah, I really appreciate your time today.
00:37:01.360 --> 00:37:03.199
I appreciate you so much as well.
00:37:03.199 --> 00:37:03.920
Thanks.
