And also we will talk with Frank I Sola plus the OutKick Mock Draft. You guys draft of the first round, uh from one to thirty two. How will we do? We'll find out on Friday. But in the meantime, the OutKick Podcast begins now. OutKick the Coverage with Clay Travis live every weekday morning from six to nine a m. E stone three to six am Pacific on Fox Sports Radio. Finds your local station for OutKick the Coverage and Fox Sports Radio dot Com or stream us live every morning on the I Heart Radio app by searching fs are you're listening to Fox Sports Radio. The Draft is here. Fingers crossed that today is gonna be the day when your team defines itself for the next fifteen years with incredible draft picks. UH. The expectation was that this was gonna be a huge show. Remember, Las Vegas was gonna put on the draft last year in Nashville. Six hundred thousand people showed up. Vegas was gonna put on quite the spectacle. Instead, things are gonna be a lot different. As many of you have gotten used to a lot different lifestyle ever since Rudy Gobert came down with the coronavirus. Now you know and I know, and I've been sharing a ton about how things are continuing to get better. I believe we're gonna have sports back in June. Overall, the numbers continue to improve across the country. But obviously it's not going to be the same kind of scene that we have grown accustomed to with the NFL Draft, where the top picks wait in the little chamber right off the side of the stage. When they're announced, they come walking in hug Roger Goodell and the first round and it's quite the incredible scene. As not gonna happen. It's gonna be a lot different tonight. You're probably gonna have some tech glitches. Roger Goodell is literally doing the draft from his basement. All of this is occurring without precedent. Many of the top draft picks will not be throwing huge parties right if you're not, they're sitting at the draft waiting to walk on the stage. Instead, you're going to be kind of hanging around with some of these draft picks. But all of the draft picks that are gonna be featured via cameras have to have ten or fewer people there to comply with social distancing. So it's gonna be wild. Now. I'm also quite confident that a huge percentage of you out there listening to me right now are going to be watching, even a larger percentage than is normally the case. Why am I confident on that, Well, the number of you who watched the last Dance. People are absolutely desperate for live sports in any way. And while the draft is not technical lead live sports, it is live and you don't know what's gonna happen, and it involves sports. So you guys are gonna be watching. I'm gonna be watching. My kids are excited. Uh, everybody out there right now should be excited. Now. May not be a lot going on in the world of sports in May, so we need to feast on this. I bet a lot of you who would ordinarily say, man, you guys are losers. There's no way I'm gonna spend a Saturday sitting around watching the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh rounds of the NFL Draft. I bet a lot of you are so starved for sports that you are gonna watch just to see the highlights of football. And I'll tell you what. I was watching Ozark the other day on Netflix, and there were just a couple of scenes with a football game going on in the background at a bar, and I was like, oh, man, I felt nostalgic for football. I was like, Man, I can't believe how often I took for granted just a football game being on television. Not even a big football game, right just a random, you know, Matt college football game, or one of those bowl games nobody cares about, or even a Thursday night football game when everybody will be like, oh, the Jags and the Titans are playing again. Oh what a crappy thing it is on Thursday night football. You and I and everybody else out there would kill for some crappy bowl games right now. If there were maction going on, it would get millions of viewers, maybe even ten million viewers. And the same thing, by the way, is true for the worst NFL game you could possibly imagine. Jacks Titans would draw twenty five million viewers right now if it were on television. Tonight. Maybe more than million. Uh so, maybe fifty million. And I'm not even kidding about that. Uh So, that is where we are. The NFL Draft is going on, and the big question, the big debate, the mats of ball hanging out there, that has been discussed now for months at a time, is what's gonna happen with two A talk Aboulah. Now, we had Trent Dilford on the program here last week to talk about how good he thought to a look in his final workout that went out to all the NFL teams. And there certainly is a reason for a decent amount of optimism about Towa's recovery. He moves seems to be moving really well. Trent Dilford told us on this radio program that he expected for Tuah to be ready to go potentially by week one. And now the question that will emerge and continue to be discussed and debated is what in the world is going to happen with two of Because Joe Burrow going number one overall, we had Joe Burrow on the program yesterday. Foregone conclusion. Joe Burrow is going to be a member of the Cincinnati Bengals, and that's an incredible storyline, because if you just go back in time and think Joe Burrow coming into the season for L s U was probably if you're projecting a borderline draft pick at all, in terms of where you would have expected him to go. If you were a draft eth Nick and you were sitting around and you were saying, Okay, where's Joe Burrow gonna end up being drafted? Probably fifth sixth round at best would be the projection based on what he had shown so far in his career. And then he came out and had the single greatest season in the history of college football, in my opinion, led l s U to an undefeated season, won a national championship, beat a bevy of incredibly talented teams, looked alike, an incredible difference maker in the pocket, and now the Cincinnati Bengals are going to get their Ohio kid that will be the number one pick. Expectations are Chase Young, big favorite at Fox bet to be the number two overall pick, and so as you look forward there, the expectation is with Chase Young that things are going to be really really impressive for him. As we project ahead beyond that, we don't really know what's going to happen if the Detroit Lions end up picking number three. Overall, there seems to be a pretty big presumption that Jeffrey Acuda is gonna be there pick the defensive back from Ohio State. But what if they don't make that pick? What if they make the trade? What are the Giants gonna do it for? Everybody? I think at the top of this draft is willing to move down if the price is right and somebody is interested enough to trade in to go get to ah Or and this would be a lot more of an upset to go get Justin Herbert. Now, we're gonna talk about this in a second, but before that, I want to let you know we are going an hour two to do what we have done a lot on this program over the past several years. We are going to have a mock draft live on the air. We've done this for several years. Everybody does mock drafts. I like to let the OutKick listeners call in and we're gonna draft one to thirty two to see how many picks we can get right collectively as a show. And I need Danny g to actually keep track of this because we we we see how we did the next day on Friday, we come back and we're like, okay, here's what the numbers look like. Here's how we did overall as a show. And we've done this for several years in a row. Now, uh and uh and then typically we haven't done that great. But up top, there's a lot of different moving parts. And one of the challenges is obviously if a player gets drafted long before you're anticipating, then it can kind of throw off the entire rest of your mock draft. Now, the rules on this are pretty simple, and I'll reiterate them at the bottom of the hour and then at the top of the hour and we get ready to actually take the calls and and and and allow everybody to draft. We have the right as a collective show, if you make a ludicrous decision, to veto your pick. In other words, we need to you need to be drafting somebody who's in the first or second round universe. Every now and then we have somebody who's like a die hard fan and they call in and they make a decision. I'll give you an example if it. Now, you are a die hard let's say Georgia Bulldog fan, and you decide I love Jake from I think he should be drafted number eleven overall, and you try to make that choice, We're not going to allow it. Same thing would be true if you are a Jalen Hurts fan and you're like, man, Jalen Hurts needs to go number seven overall, We're not going to allow it. Right. They need to be within the realm of possibility the picks. So we have a collective body here that is going to be discussing and breaking down everything else. Uh. And so that is the situation in which we will be conducting the draft in the second second hour of the show. But right now, I can't wait to see what's gonna happen tonight because I am totally and completely in awe of this to a story. And here's what I mean by it. Coming into the football season, I told you that nobody would have expected that Oburrow is gonna go number one overall. Maybe he's a fifth or sixth round pick projected coming into the season. To a conversely, everyone anticipates that he's gonna be the overall number one pick, such that the entire theme of the Miami Dolphins season is tank for Twah and up until he got injured against Mississippi State, there would have been, I believe, a legitimate debate between whether Joe Burrow or two a type of VLOA is the better choice at the quarterback position, and that would have been a knockdown, drag out fight, and I think we would have ended up with those two guys going one and two overall, and maybe probably Joe Burrow still would have gone number one overall, but I think too of beyond a shadow of a doubt, would have gone number two, and there would be a huge trade market in place such that the Redskins, who ended up finishing in the second spot would be able to get a lot of vale you to potentially trade back, and then that would leave the Detroit Lions probably taking Chase Young at three overall or trading in a situation to allow somebody else to get him instead. The broken hip has thrown a monkey wrench into this entire analysis, because now you're not just debating whether or not two Ah is a really really good quarterback. The question is how healthy is he going to be and how durable is he? And it's interesting I heard Nick Saban yesterday on The Dan Patrick Show talking about the fact that to a reminds him of Drew Brees and one of the most interesting decisions in all of sports, if you had to go back in time and think about it, is Nick Saban when he was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, when he made the decision and the Dolphins made the decision to sign Dante Culpepper instead of Drew Brees. Do you remember how that decision was made At the time him, doctors in Miami believed that Dante Culpepper was a more reliable future star based on his injury for the Dolphins than was Drew Brees. Nick Saban has said publicly, which is easy to do now, I would have taken Drew Brees if I had known the health status going forward and if our doctors had signed off on him. If that is true, and the doctors in Miami in fact told him take Dante Culpepper because we don't believe Drew brees shoulder is going to be able to recover, imagine how much different the NFL and the college football story is because if Drew Brees comes to Miami, it's possible Nick Saban is still coaching in the NFL and I think it's likely he has one, probably multiple Super Bowls with Drew Brees. I really do believe that because Nick Saban, on the defensive side of the ball, is such an incredible head coach. It's hard for me to believe that with a Hall of Fame first ballot quarterback like Drew Brees, that Nick Saban wouldn't have been able to win at a high level in Miami. Now, maybe he would have gotten burned out of coaching the Miami Dolphins. Maybe he would have at some point had a couple of years where he didn't play very well and he would have gotten and his team didn't play very well and he would have gotten replaced. That seems unlikely based on how good he has been pretty much everywhere he's gone since he went to l s U. But the reason why Nick Saban couldn't win in Miami is the same reason the Dolphins haven't been able to win historically. It's because they haven't had the right quarterback. Now, the Miami Dolphins really have the same situation all over again. They have Tua, who, if he's going to be healthy, projects as potentially the next Drew Brees, and they have justin Herbert, who is kind of the big, big, strong pocket passing quarterback who looks a lot like Dante call Pepper. So the Dolphins are in many ways facing a similar situation to the one they had back when they chose Dante Culpepper over Drew Brees. And I'm sorry to bring this up Dolphin fans, but think about how much different the world of football would look if you guys had gone with Drew Brees instead of Dante call Pepper. What happens in New Orleans? Are the Saints even still in New Orleans because Drew Brees in the wake of Katrina was such a huge part of that city rebuilding and winning a Super Bowl? What happens with Sean Payton? Where? Oh where is the future going for the New Orleans Saints? Meanwhile, what happens in college football? Do we have a situation where Nick Saban ever goes back to Alabama? Who does Alabama higher? Think about all of the head coaches that have been fired in the SEC because they couldn't beat Nick Saban. You got gene Chiswick out the window. Tommy Tubberville, who may well be the next senator from the state of Alabama. Remember he had beaten Alabama six times in a row until Nick Saban got there. What about Phil Fulmer at Tennessee, Mark Rick at Georgia, all of the different incredibly successful coaches by most historical standards who have not been able to keep their jobs Less Miles at l s U. Think of all the coaches that have lost their jobs because they can't keep up with Nick Saban. Such that there are so many different Nick Saban disciples now all over college football. Kirby smart Uh, Jeremy Pruett, Jimbo Fisher, everybody out there is trying to get their own version of Nick Saban as a result of Nick Saban's dominance at Alabama. But what if that never happens. All of it is directly connected to that choice that the Dolphins had when they chose Dante Culpepper over and now they have a somewhat similar situation all over again. Do they go with the injured quarterback into a tagla who some people are taking off of their board. And I think this is underrated about Drew Brees Hall of Fame career in the wake of his injury with the Chargers. Remember they went to Philip Rivers, but that shoulder injury was so significant that many teams completely took Drew Brees off their board and they said, his shoulder is never going to repair itself the way it needs to. He's never gonna be able to throw with the right accuracy, with the right uh spin, with the right power on his throws. And since that time, Drew Brees has turned into maybe the greatest passer in the history of the NFL. That's how wrong many of those doctors were when they analyze Drew brees shoulder. The Saints believed in him, they signed him, They've won big. The Dolphins didn't. Instead, they signed Dante Culpepper. They've lost pretty much consistently ever since. Now. It's like going back to the future for the Miami Dolphins. Just because you were wrong on Drew brees injury doesn't mean you should suddenly say, oh two is gonna be healthy. Completely different injuries, But how much do you trust your doctors to analyze to ah, especially in this socially distanced era where everybody hasn't necessarily been able to have complete access like they ordinarily would. This is abs resolutely fascinating. It's the top story in the entirety of the NFL Draft, and I can't wait to see what's gonna happen. What are the Dolphins gonna do? What are the Chargers gonna do? How is this situation going to resolve itself? It's gonna be fantastic to think about. This is outkicked the coverage with Clay Travis, Jacob Eason with US. Now, Jacob, where are you gonna be watching the draft tonight? And uh? And how is that compared to what you expected to be doing before all of the zany nous that we're dealing with. I'm gonna be watching the draft out here in Costa Mesa, California. It's the down in Orange County. You know. I Well, originally I thought I would be up in back in Lake Stephens in my hometown with with my family, my friends and and everyone up there. But you know, given the circumstances of what's going on, I figured it would be better to stay down here and keep training and keep keep the time for this next step. And so I got my my mom and my dad, to my sister clientent uh flying in and and they'll be here with me, and you know, I'm excited to see them and get this thing wrong on. All right, We're gonna get back to the draft here in a second, but I want to go through your college experience, because you had a star crossed college experience. You started off at Georgia in Athens, young star quarterback, you end up at Washington. What do you wish you had known to be able to tell yourself when you were eighteen years old now sitting on the precipice of being drafted, uh to go into the NFL. You know, I I wouldn't really, you know, say my journey was anything I expected coming out of high school? So which was? You know? But I do believe that everything happens for a reason. Um, you know, I don't know if there's something particular i'd say other than control you can control, you know, because a lot of the things, especially like something that's going on right now at the front of ours, is out of our control. So you know, when I when I started as a freshman, I worked worked my blood off and I learned that job, and I fogged and I played well and not an outstanding year. And then you know that sophomore year, I won the job again, and I completed my boot off and set myself up for to have a great season, and unfortunately, you know, I got fresh out of bounds late and I ended up didn't hurt. You know, those are one of those things that that you can't control footballs and injury related sport, and you know, so the biggest thing for me was keeping a positive mindset and always working towards you know, working towards that next staff and working towards that that next season. So you know, I stayed positive, and I and I and I you know, I kept my leadership role and I you know, kept my kept my grounding, and I kept working. So you know, any given circumstance, whether it was at Georgia or Washington, I felt, you know, there was ups and there was downs, but I was always able to to work through them and get better as a player and as a person. So you know, I think control what you can control has been the message, um, you know for those lasts four four or five years from me. And and you know, I'm super excited and I'm to be at the the stage I'm at right now, is this next opportunity knocking at the door, and I'm excited and being ready to get to work. All right, what are you hearing because I would imagine you talk to your agent a lot, You've talked to a lot of different teams. This is a different experience even for I would imagine your agent. You know, you're not traveling around, You're not able to do as many workouts as maybe would have happened before. What range is he telling you that you might be drafted? What teams out there do you think might be interested? I mean, this is really I would imagine a crazy time for you. But what are you hearing in terms of guidance? Yeah, you know it goes back to the like what I just mentioned is the control y you can control. You know, I can't control who's gonna draft me or when they're gonna draft me. I know it's gonna be, you know, super happy and excited to to find out where my new city is and what tim I'm I'm going to be selected by. So you know, I've I've been hearing anything from from low low first round to the second um. It is where UM like plotted at. But you know I'll be I'll be excited to be picked in the first round, or I'll be excited to be picked in a second um. Another bottom line is and Wherever I go, I'll be I'll be eager and ready to work and imburst the challenge in the road ahead. We're talking to Jacob Eason. He's gonna be drafted either tonight or tomorrow in the NFL Draft. Is the expectation, Uh, Jacob. Have you talked to Bill Belichick yourself personally? Uh? And if so, what was that like for you? You know, I wish I was able to talk to the coach Belichick. I wasn't able to. I I talked to, uh several people from the Patriots staff, but I haven't talked to Bill Um. You know, I've you know, through this whole process, I've talked to the several different head coaches, DMS, quarterback coaches, coasts, and it's been, like, you know, an incredible couple of months because I've I've been getting FaceTime in with with these incredible people, and these incredible coaches have all done great things and all I've learned and I've grown a lot from it. And you know, I think, you know, in terms of football, IQ and and fell Mark and board work, you know, I've I've taken tremendous strides and you know, I think, you know, so I'm I've met so many people and I've talked to so many different approaches that you know, I'll be very comfortable, uh with with anyone who's life theme we're talking to. Jacob Eeson, have you accidentally FaceTime to anybody after they called you? This is one of my big fears about FaceTime in general. You know, you put your phone in your in your pocket and then you end up calling somebody that you ordinarily would never call. Have you had any FaceTime mishaps? And during the draft process, you know, I try. What I try to do is saves like their name and contact information right after every call, so you know, I don't have just a bunch of phone numbers in my list. I haven't had that happens yet. But my biggest thing is I'll be I'll be texting someone a message it's football related, and I'll you know, I'll send it to the wrong person. Thank you. What do you happen to the best of us? So I think that's doing meshap I've had in the situ, uh, jacobieson with us? Now, do you check mock drafts yourself? Because I'm gonna be honest with you, if I were in your position. Every time a mock draft came out that somebody emailed to me or I saw coming across Twitter or Instagram or anything else, like, I would click on that mock draft so fast I think I would almost break the glass screen on my phone, because it's got to be addictive to see what people are saying about where you might end up. You know, most people out there never have an experience like this. You might graduate from college. But you know, the only thing I can compare it to my brother in law, h Sometimes when doctors match, they have to do a match and they don't know exactly where they're gonna get sent around the country, and they have a ceremony where you go up and you open up your match letter and then boom, you're going wherever the match letter is, and you don't really have any clue where that destination is going to be. I mean, that's got to be incredibly exciting and also nerve wracking for you. So come clean with us. How many mock drafts have you read sent you began the process of of becoming a pro. You know, I tend not to to to look at all that stuff, you know, I know, social media and television and all the news sources are are huge and you know on modern day football and sports, um, you know, so that's always gonna be there. You know, I kind of learned it early on in my college experience. You know, I was highly forged out of high school and and you know there were several people. You know, everyone has their own opinion on subject matter, and you know, some of those opinions heard and some and some are you know somewhere uh praise, and some are you know, some are are so while I really on not to really pay much attention to that, I don't have a huge social media presence, but you know, given the next opportunity and to have a little bit more with some advertising, um which the advertising stuff and some cool cool things come along the way there. But you know, in terms of mantras, I did. I did see one from I think it was melt Hyper uh you know, way early on, and you know I took at it and you know, that was the last that looked at it because you know, it's all predictions at this point. You know, people can talk and people can say this or that, but I don't you know, until the draft day, no one really knows and until the you know, the coaches in the room make a decision. So now I think it all kind of goes back to control what you can control. And as I mentioned before, if its first round, I'll be ecstatic. If it's the second, third, fourth round, I'll be I'll be ready to go. So um, you know, in terms of uh talking to the media and then looking at the media stuff, I think everyone has their opinion and that's great, and everyone can has the right to to express their opinions. But you know, I'm I'm just kind of m saying and focusing on the things I need to focus on and getting ready for this next step. Who do you think your game resembles Who's in the NFL now or has been in NFL in recent history. So people out there, a lot of them may not have watched you play that much at Washington, and they may not have watched you play that much at Georgia beforehand. So who would you say that you kind of project to resemble in some way and or who do you hope to resemble when you get to the league. Yeah, you know, I grew up I idolized Peyton and he was my you know, he was my favorite player. And and him and Brett Farb were always guys I lost. I love the way Brett would would take shots and just you know, Droke darts across the field and he's just out there having fun. You know, you get drilled by the living slackle on the app and he gets up and and you know, with a smile on the face and you know, go leave, go leave their team to the victory. So you know, it was it was awesome watching guys like that, and you know, especially at a young age, and it was very inspiring for me. It's like I want to you know, I want to be the person on TV doing those things and and do like that. So you know, I try to resemble my game off of like the hibing between Brett Farb and Peyton. Many of you can imagine that, but that's a good hybrid. I don't, yeah, I don't. I don't exactly know who would be in the league. You know. Currently, Um, you know I had my own that its skills, um, and you know, I'm eager to eager to get to work and make a name for myself and and uh, you know, I'm super excited for the next opportunity. Do you feel like you've been through the fire, maybe more than a lot of guys have to have been at two major programs where you're scrutinized at Georgia and Washington like you are. Because really, even going into the NFL, you're not going to get looked at anymore, you know, stringently than you were by those two major college programs. Yeah, you know, I don't like to speak for other people. I know, I know there's several other players up there and would have gone through the transfer process, and there are several players who have you know, gone through the scrutiny of the fan base and and you know, expectations and all those things. But yeah, that's this, that's this football in in the modern world. You know, there's always gonna be someone saying that you're not good enough, and always be someone yeah who was who was an opinion on a certain throw or a different play, you know, and and you know that's that's always gonna be there. So it always goes back to keeping a positive mindset, inca troyally control and I'm super confident my own abilities and then no one's perfect. I'm not gonna be able to throw you know, thirty five and thirty five and for ownly yards every game. I understand that, and I know people do too. Um, you know, I'm super passionate about this game, and as I mentioned, I'm super toughient my own abilities and and uh, you know, I think you know, through trial and air, my freshman freshman season and going through the transfer, getting hurt, um, you know, playing this rast season, having them up and grounds, I've been through a lot, and you know, every experience that I've had has kind of molded me into the mindset I have today in terms of going forward and attacking this next level, because you know there's gonna be I could be put in a situation where I'm forced into the competition you gotta go right away, and I'm very very ready to break that challenge and get to work. Or i could be in a situation where I'm behind the behind the NFL vettor and a future Hall of Famer, and and you know I'll be ready to to learn and grow in that situation. So you know, I think I've had I've been put in different situations and gone through things where you know, they've kind of prepared me for for what's to come, and and for that, I'm very fortunate. You know, I think everything happens for a reason, and and and everything that has happened to me is is kind of pushing me forward and give me right to this nest step all right? Who are you here with us for? And best of luck already in advance. Can't wait to see where you're gonna end up. I've been using head shoulder style cream. It's been my go to for for this past month or so in quarantine. It's just been keeping my keeping my scalp and my hairline clean and ready to go and helping me look my best for the for this next weekend. Um, you can see that and the clothes I'll be wearing on Draft Day on hashtag NFL Red Carpet this Thursday, Um, you know, be on the lookout for that and what the other guys in this draft class are wearing. There will be a pretty special event and make sure you go check it out. Thanks, Jacob will be rooting for you. Can't wait to see what's gonna happen in the NFL draft. In fact, we're gonna be doing our own mock draft here shortly. Be sure to catch live editions about kicked the cover with Clay Travis week days at six am Eastern three am Pacific. A lot of reason for excitement as we roll forward, uh and think about the draft. I opened up talking about the uncertainty surrounding to it and where he will go. Well, boys and girls, we are gonna have fun because we're gonna go ahead and do our own mock draft, as we do every single year. On the day of the first round, we are going to draft one to thirty two, going all the way through as a part of our two of this program getting ready for the NFL Draft. Now, we've done this a lot of different years, and I always feel like I need to give everybody a pep talk to explain exactly how the OutKick mock draft goes. There's lots of people out there who come on and tell you, hey, here's what my mock draft is. I'm gonna tell you who's gonna go one to thirty two. And really, when you break down those mock drafts, they often get a ton of players wrong. If you can go and get let's say, seven or eight picks right in the first round, that's pretty good, right, seven or eight out of thirty two picks pretty outstanding. So I want to see how our mock draft collectively as a show can compare to the quote unquote experts out there. Now a couple of things to keep in mind. Uh, we reserve the right to veto your pick. That means if you come in with somebody who you happen to love in college football, and immediately the team, you know, me and the crew here we sit around and we say, wait a minute, I haven't even seen this guy talked about as a first round pick anywhere. We don't want you to screw up our draft by coming out of left field, right. Ideally, we also want you to do a little bit of homework so you know who you're drafting for. For instance, I don't want you, if you're picking for the New York Giants, to be like, oh, the New York Giants are gonna take Justin Herbert, right, that would be a huge surprise because they just took Daniel Jones last year. So I need you to be intelligent about your pick, have some idea of, ideally the position of need that one of these teams might have. So I don't want you coming in and taking a quarterback the year after the team just took a quarterback and similarly, Uh, we also want you to actually know who's been drafted, right, so it takes a little while to get thirty two picks. I don't want to have to deem you for being a ding bat because you've tried to take somebody that has already been drafted by somebody else. We will try and update you as we move on, obviously as we get into sixteen, seventeen, eighteen that range. But if you call in with the fifth pick and you try and take Joe Burrow, he's gonna be gone. And that's another one, Like, I'm not going to allow somebody need to call in and pick on behalf of the Cincinnati Bengals and pick somebody other than Joe Burrow. We know he's going number one overall. We think probably Chase Young is gonna go number two overall for the Redskins. I also don't want you creating your own trades, right. The mock draft already has a lot of uncertainty. I don't need you calling in and being like, well, with the eighteenth pick, I'm gonna trade the eighteenth pick, and I'm gonna get the twenty third pick, and I'm also gonna add a second round pick and a third round pick in two and three. All right, this isn't uh your fantasy draft, alright, you aren't. Actually, this isn't Draft day that Kevin Costner movie where you're like sitting there with a huge board in front of you making all these different wild moves. Straight forward one to thirty two. You're drafting on behalf of the team that is there. Would it be simple, We'll pull you up, I'll say the name dub is fielding the calls, and you will know it exactly who you're picking for. You don't get to call in and say I only want to pick for X team, right, because then it gets complicated it's hard to keep track of. We're gonna go right in the order that we receive the calls, and we're gonna see how we can do as a show fingers crossed that we're gonna be able to do a good job, and then we're gonna be able to beat the quote unquote experts when it comes to their mock drafts. So that is what it's gonna go on. Right now. I'm gonna go ahead and give you the phone number. These are gonna be filled up rapidly. The lines because lots of people want to be a part of the draft. So as you see and hear someone hang up, you can try to call back in. Will also be filling up each of the lines during commercial breaks. Four hour two eight seven seven nine six six three uh six nine is the phone number. Eight seven seven six three six nine. That is the phone. I froze there for a minute because I was thinking to myself about our picks, and I totally forgot the phone number. You ever forget the phone number every now and then, it's rare to remember a phone number. Eight seven seven s nine. That is our phone number. Load them up when we come back. It's the fifth annual I believe out kick Draft of the first round. Rejoice, the draft is here. Hope all if you are having fantastic mornings, because we are about to make sports history with the greatest draft in the history of the NFL, greatest mock draft in the history of the NFL. This is outkicked the coverage with Clay Travis loaded lines. We are going to get prepared here and begin our draft. Let's see how many picks we can get. Right, Danny g You went back actually and found the research from last year We've done this probably four or five years now in a row. Last year, how do we do? Not so hot? Last year, Clay, I have it right in front of me here. We had six total correct out of thirty two, and four of the six came from the crew's top five picks. Yes, so the listeners got to right last year? Six right? Total? Yeah? Um? All right, So we are going to begin the draft here. Should we start with us and go around the horn to start the first the first five picks or so? Or should we go straight to this? We did that? Yeah, that's what we did last year? And really quick? Do you want to hear where the draft went off the rails a little bit last year? Do we have audio? We do? I grabbed a flashback from last year's draft. It starts with a listener picking at number seven, and then you'll hear a listener picking at all right, up next, Jacksonville Jaguars. Doub who you got? Bubba in North Carolina? Bubba in North Carolina? Who are you taking for the Jags? I swear to god, this is not complicated. Bubba just dropped. Let's move on to Antonio in Virginia. Antonio in Virginia, who you got the Jacks Rashawn Gary. Where is Rashawn Gary projected? Is this a solid pick or a bit of a reach there at seven? Thanks for the call. That is a little bit of a reach. He is projected at the bottom of the first round. Is that is that a consensus here? Yeah, he's like the bottom of the first round. Yeah, thanks a lot. Thanks a lot for whoever drafted their seven overall for the Jacksonville Jaguars, taking a flyer and potentially throwing our mock draft into chaos. Seeber going our draft yet? Seahawks are up next? Do we got? We got Brian in Gainesville? Brian and Gainesville. You're drafting for the Seahawks, So you got Gary defensive end? Yeah, all right, you've embarrassed the city of Gainesville. Well, on the on the bright side, Clay, this is where Gary was actually projected. We had Rashaun Gary's dad called it and took a number seven overall earlier in the draft. Aft. Uh. The Seattle Seahawks are picking Gainesville, Florida, as they often do. Let's down everyone, all right, so please don't let us down. I will go first. Then we'll start off, all right, We'll go around the horn here for the first five picks or or so, I'm gonna take Joe Burrow for the Bengals. But let's le's eliminate any of the uncertainty there. So number one overall picks, Cincinnati Bengals take Joe Burrow. That's basically written in stone. So we've at least got one pick, right, Who are you taking? Danny g Number two is easy as well. The Redskins are gonna go with Chase Young, best edge Russia in the draft, and maybe the best overall prospect. Alright, let me give you the number out again, eight seven, seven nine six six three six nine eight seven seven nine six three six nine dub What would you go with at number three? Alright? Detroit's at number three. We've been hearing rumblings at Miami might jump up here, but I'm gonna go Jeff Accuda, the cornerback out of Ohio state for the Detroit Lions. Okay, so our first three pick, if everybody has gone chalk uh, meaning if that that's exactly how the oddsmakers would presume that this is going to go uh. In the four spot, Eddie Garcia, who are you taking for the New York Giants. I am going with Jerich Willis Jr. Offensive tackle, Alabama. All right, so that is exactly the top four that we have made so far, exactly what is expected. Number five overall pick Miami Dolphins. What are you going to do? Uh? Roberto Dolphins select to Tangaloa. All right, Literally we have gone chalk. Alright. I think there's a good chance we can go five for five there. Hopefully we'll get some drama in the draft. But these are the projected top five picks. All right. So uh, we now go to the OutKick audience to see how we do. Going first? Uh for the San Diego Sorry l H Chargers already made an air. We'll go to the phones. Who is drafting for the Chargers? Dub alright? We got Dan in New York? Dan, who are you taking? Justin Herbert? All right, Dan in New York. We continue to have chalk, but this means that people are at least paying attention to what is expected. All right, the top six in eight seven, seven, six, three, six nine. Who's got the seventh pick? I gotta pull up? Uh, the I knew the tops Carolina Panthers. Who is who's drafting for the Panthers, Dub, we got Chris and Georgia with the Panthers selection. Chris, you're on the clock for the Panthers. I got the Panthers second, Isaiah Simmons at six seven. All right, that's a solid pick two Isaiah Simmons out of Clemson. I believe he wouldn't have to go very far to play for the Carolina Panthers. This is the listener draft here as we roll through. Uh, in with the eighth pick, Dub, who were we go in with? We got Tim in Kentucky for the Cardinals. Say, okay, the Cardinals. Uh, you're picking for the Cardinals, Tim and Kentucky. Cardinal was taking Angry Thomas to tackle out of Georgia. Okay, all right, thank you for so far. I don't I don't want to get us all jinks to here, but so far this has been virtually flawless. Uh so far? All right? Now we're going with the Jacksonville Jaguars. And by the way, Dub, if you see somebody from the city on your list, you can go ahead and let them pick right. So like, if if there's somebody in the lineup who is from Jacksonville, boom, you could let them pick for Jacksonville. Next is Cleveland. You know how that goes. But anyway, who's picking ninth with the idea that they might have a better idea who their local team is gonna pick? Then if they just randomly do it ninth overall? Pick right now Jacksonville selecting? Who we got Shane in Kentucky? Shane? Who you got? What? Back? A little bit? That's a good okay? But what's his name? I didn't The big is the guy who put up the absolutely ridiculous combine number. If I'm not mistaken, right, yeah, quick, even though he's a huge monster. He was quick with a forty uh yeah, okay. So that's the first nine solid picks all around. The Cleveland Browns are now on the clock. Cleveland Browns. Who we got dubbed? We got Teddy in Kentucky. The state of Kentucky is all in on the mock draft Teddy? Who were you taking? Uh? If I get just named Wheels? All right? Thank you for the call. Do we have the I think we gotta hang up? Do we have? Look? One of the rules is we've been doing this for four minutes. All you had to do was just listen. It took us only ten picks for somebody to already be drafted. Who has been taken? All right? Jedrick Wills went number four overall already? Do we have like the prices? Right? Uh? Sound sound in the background, Yeah, yeah, do we have that? Is that one of our sound effects? Yeah? There, we took us all. We didn't even make it through ten picks, all right? Uh? Dub who's up next? In California? California? You're picking for the Browns, So you got I mean, it's like one bad thing happens and the entire This is why you have to be able to actually make a pick and not screw it up. Because as soon as this this this careening card of mock draft, him goes a little bit off the tracks, then everything else just falls apart. All right, Yeah, double double failure on the bock draft. You're you're just making me sad. I'm not I'm not I'm not angry. I'm just sad to use that with my son yesterday adds up, that was a technical error on our phone. But I made an adjustment here. We still have Jason and California to the board. Here froze up in Nashville, But of course it did. We are We're back, and we have Jason and Jason in California is picking for the Browns at ten? By way, probably not a coincidence that the Browns would screw up our draft if I'm picking at the brown dead ten All right? Uh? Well three offensive line when we're just taking I'm gonna take Xavier McKinney stasy from Alabama, all right, thanks. I think Xavier McKinney at ten is wildly, wildly high, right, that's really early for McKinney. I mean, McKinney is a borderline like a late I mean for a safety, late first rounder in most drafts, right, correct. So this is disappointing to me because now we have to go to the committee and say is this a permissible pick or has Jason from California made an outrage just pick? Let's go to the committee. What do you think, Danny g should we just disallow this pick? Man? It? You know, he's about picks higher than everybody has projected to go to the Seahawks at seven. So ten is is a little high for McKinney. What do you think, dub I mean, it is the Browns? Uh, Eddie, what do you think should we allow it? Well? Bad, bad moves are a part of sports, so sure, I mean yeah, alright, take d J. Hayden, all right, so we're gonna allow it. Xavier McKinney. His dad just called in from l A and got him into the top ten. Uh, let's go to Uh, who's up next? Dub for the Jets. All we got Steven in Indiana. Stephen, you're drafting for the Jets at eleven. Who's your pick? Let's thank Garry Judy at Alabama. All right, that's a solid pick. And you know what, Uh, first wide receiver off the board for for our mock draft. I gotta say I would think that that the Jets would be ecstatic if they could get Jerry Judy at eleven and get their pick of whoever the the the wide receivers might be um with Sam Donald coming back hopefully with Mono being vanquished. Uh, it makes a lot of sense for the Jets to go wide receiver. Solid pick there. Uh. The Las Vegas Raiders on the board here at twelve, first pick since they moved to the City of sin who was going to be the pick? We got a big Raiders fan making this pick. We got Jose and Fremont. All right, Jose and Fremont. Who's your pick? What's hey? The greatness of the Raiders select Speedy Lamb. Uh you that's not a bad pick either. The Raiders are in the mix to potentially take a wide receiver, right, Danny G You like that pick? Yeah? Correct? Everything at twelve is pointing to Seedee Lamb Right now, I think eleven, twelve, and thirteen. If you're kind of looking towards the draft tonight, you got the Jets, the Raiders, and the forty Niners. I think they could all be going wide receiver. And then the Broncos at fifteen also wanted right, so I think we could see a real run on wide receivers. Here. Who are we going to to pick for the forty Niners? Dub We got Mark in Detroit, up in Detroit, Mark, who would you take for the forty Niners? There you go? I mean, I I think that is a solid pick. Look, you look at the forty Niners right now, and they're losing Emmanuel Sanders. They already we know that they have a great tight end and George Kittle the Deebo Samuel showed a lot of flashes, but they don't really have that traditional wide receiver. This would be I think a really solid pick for the forty Niners. So praise for the crew on the mock draft. We're gonna get the first half of the mock draft aft in here. Uh. Then we're gonna talk with Frank A. Sola. Then we will come back and finish the mock draft at the bottom of the hour. So let's go ahead. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they got Gronk, They've got Tom Brady. Now who are they gonna go with? Dub? Who is the fourteenth overall pick? We got Byron in Texas? Byron, you're picking for the Bucks? Who you're taking? Is this operator air Dub? What's going on here? That should not be? So are gys? How are you doing? How are you doing? I know they've got Brady in gonk in Town, but I'm gonna give you guys some five pick on this. I think they're not going to take an Office and Tapple. I think they're gonna take Vfis and Tapple in Javon Kim Law of South Carolina. I think it's gonna be a surprise. Thank you. Um, that's interesting. But the Bucks had a good defensive line last year. Ken Law would make them substantially better. Maybe you feel good about the offense. They've got a lot of money spent on the offensive side of the ball. They may well go defense in the draft, assuming they stay there at fourteen and pick uh solid selection. I think all right, the Broncos now on the clock. Drew Lock is he for real? Finished off the season? Very well? What's John Elways team gonna do? Who's picking dub We got Wally in Arkansas, Wally in Arkansas? You're picking for the Broncos. Who's the pick? Well, they needed L s u So you gotta say it again, L s u. Do you know Justin Jefferson he said they need a wide receiver. I think he's right. They need somebody to put with Courtland Sutton. And so he did you say, is that right? Yes, sir, Justin Jefferson. Justin Jefferson, All right, Justin Jefferson ran a great forty time the top receiver one of them for Joe Burrow from L s U. Uh, the Denver Broncos. I do think they're likely to go wide receiver first fifteen X and we gotta reload the phone lines, everything else, right, that's correct. At the next commercial break before we'll load him up and do the second half. All right, I gotta say, other than our man who went Xavier McKinney at number ten overall, Xavier McKinney's dad called in and drafted him, I think our first fifteen is really solid. Uh So I will hit you with these as we come back to continue going forward. But this is uh this is a pretty smooth move by the crew so far. We will finish the draft. This is our trend. We do our own mock draft and then we see how we do by comparing the results coming back tomorrow after the first round. This is outkicked the coverage with Clay Travis. We are joined by frank Is Sola at the FRANKI Sola. He is on ESPN, He's also on Sirius XM, and he writes at the Athletic rank, how excited are you to be able to watch the draft? Can you remember being this excited for any draft ever? Just in terms of having something new to watch on television? Clay, it's a big sports week. We had the last stance and that tonight we get the NFL Draft. Actually, for a couple of nights we get the NFL Draft. I mean, as usually will be NFL wins. I would think the ratings are going to be pretty good. You know, it's always amazing about the NFL draft, Unlike I mean, obviously hockey, nobody knows really the players that are drafted. Basketball you kind of do, but there's not a lot of build up. It's like the finals end, then there's like a ten day maybe a two week period to put the draft. The NFL gets unbelievable buzz out of their draft because it really starts kind of after college football season and the minute the super Bowl is over. But the super Bowl ends early February or late April. It's amazing how much juice they get out of this draft. Um, is there any particular angle other than two US? So, first of all, let's start with two because I think it's the number one story. Where do you think to what ends up? Well, you know, it's interesting because of where the Lions select, and then you know, you think about the quarterback that just won the Super Bowl, Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs had traded up to get him. Something tells me something's gonna happen in that uh, you know, with the Eye, with the Lions, maybe with the Giants. I just think one of these teams he's gonna put together some kind of package because it sounds like the lines are committed to Matthew Stafford. And if they are, then don't drift too And if you're not going to draft them, why wouldn't you try to make some tray. I know they announced last week that they're kind of open for business, and usually these trades kind of happened right before the pick is gonna get made. I think I think something's gonna happen where one of these teams is going to jump to the third of the fourth spot. I agree with you, and I also think the storyline that is out there that potentially the Dolphins are gonna trade up to get a tackle is total crap. I think if the Dolphins are trading up, it's to grab two, and if they're saying they're gonna take a tackle, it's to try and convince the Chargers not to try to go to two because they're thinking, oh, well, the reason the Dolphins are trading up is to jump in front of the Giants, who look like they're probably going to take a tackle that's the favorite anyway to help protect Daniel Jones. Um, So I think there that doesn't make any sense to me that you would trade up to jump in front of the Giants so you could get a tackle. That just that that seems like a fake story there, and it seems like maybe there's the expectation the Dolphins and the Lions might be working on a deal and they're trying to get ahead of of that rumor coming out. So we'll see exactly what ends up taking place there. Um you mentioned uh the last dance here when we started talking, let's pause on the the NFL draft for a minute. As a guy who covered that era of the n b A, I believe a lot. What did you think of the documentary on Sunday? How much did you enjoy it? And what is the vibe in New York where Frankly, I mean the Knicks were one of the foils of the Jordan Arables, and maybe Jordan's wasn't as popular because people bought into Patrick Ewing to John Starks and company. Well, I covered all those finals games in night and it really was like you were covering the Beatles, especially that last year. He didn't kind of feel like it was going to be the last year. There was so much talk about I kept thinking the whole time, why would you break up this team or why would they all leave? Come back until somebody beat you, because it seems like you're gonna keep winning. You know, in New York back then, people liked you know, they knew that Jordan always beat the Knicks, and there was a sense he got a recall. But for the most part, he was so popular that fans still liked them. Maybe the fact that he was born in Brooklyn had something to do with it. I think Nick fans always had a bigger issue with Scottie Pippen because they felt, you know, tipping that was the Nick game where he refused to go in at the end of the game and Kuck Coach made the shot, which I believe would have been in ninet before when when Tippin refused to do that, and this was like the Migraine, So fans it was kind of filter. It was more Phil Jackson hatred and Scottie Pippen because you know, the fans look at pill as being somewhat arrogant, and Scottie it would always seem like the Knicks were trying to punk Scottie Pippen, whether or not it was Javie McDaniel in the early nineties, or whether it was Charles Oakley or John Starts. He was kind of the foil where Jordan's was. You know, when he would come to the garden, you would hear a lot of wounds in Oz. That's just kind of how Michael Jordan was. So it was more of a it was the resentment was more towards Phil Up towards Scottie Pippen as well. You covered this era, so we talked about this a little bit on Monday. Jordan's benefited because there were guys who were comfortable wearing the black hat being the villain in the NBA in the nineties, whether it was Reggie Miller, Charles Barkley, Uh, to a certain extent, I feel like John Starks and and Patrick Ewing wore that mantle. There was always somebody and certainly the bad Boy Pistons. There were lots of players on that team that were comfortable being disliked. And we said, there's really not anybody in the NBA today that's comfortable being disliked. Why do you think that changed? That's a good point. Maybe something had to do with social media, because really the Jordan's at that time, you know, Magic Johnson, was he as much of a crossover star as Michael Jordan. Not really, but the whole you know, the air Jordan, that's the Sneaker Boom, the movie he was making, he was just his crossover star where really, you know, White America was falling in love with his basketball player and he was becoming so big in the NBA was marketing really, it started marketing stars really more so than teams. Where you had kind of the Celtic Laker robbery in the eighties, it became really Michael Jordan's against everybody else. But the one thing about Michael Jordan, you know, and you you've really got a chance to see a little bit of it in the first two episodes. You know, you see him in the locker room after they win that game at Paris, and he's mocking the players on his team, like Scottie Barrell and were a couple of other guys were hey, congratulations on you guys that never wanted anything like this really doesn't count as a championship, but hey, congratulations, and he's kind of mocking them and of course he was bullying Jerry Krauss around, so he was he did wear a black hat, especially that the public really didn't know it. He really drove that bus because he was the one really pushing his teammates, which to me is always like the great athlete. So there was a great book writing about Joe DiMaggio by Richard ben Cramer, and when I read the book, Joe Dimago reminded me of Michael Jordan. Like to his teammates, he was like he was doing everything he could to kind of will them along, and he would be the guy playing hurt and he would be the guy, you know, in the in the biggest moment, would always come through. And Jordan was like that too. Even though he was the best player, he was still carrying the group but also kind of berating them. Like he did it. He did it in so many different ways, and let's face it, his way was successful. There was a storyline that was pretty incredible where Jordan was asked about the bulls traveling cocaine circus. Now this was back in when he initially got to the n b A. Was any of that still kind of lingering when you started to cover the NBA, because I don't get the sense now that that players are you know, all in a room with a line of coke and uh and we the women may still be going on, but you know, it seems like a lot of that has moved to social media as opposed to being out in the public eye. Uh what kind of era did you find the NBA when you began to cover it. I think it was a lot of going out and partying in terms of maybe drinking and you know, enjoying the fruits of being a millionaire single athlete living in some of these big cities. But the coke came part. I think that was was gone. I think that, you know, if maybe len bias, you know, um dying the day after the draft might have had a lot to do with that as well. When Jordan first came into remember the guy Quentin Daily if you go look that up. I mean, he was a guy that had all kinds of issues. That was certainly an issue in the late seventies early eight in the NBA, and that's what a lot of people credited. David Stern was kind of uh, you know, getting rid of that in the NBA. A lot of people when they thought of the NBA. They thought that it was too too many drugs. It was a drug league in a lot of ways. That answer from Jordan's was was pretty interesting. It's funny because Jordan, as you talked about, was He's like, you know, I didn't drink, but there he is sitting there, Yeah, and he's drinking. He's drinking to kill I think. But Michael Jordan's lifestyle changed a lot after he got out of basketball. Um, when you look at at the big debate which has been going on for I mean, I always say it's the break the Glass debate. You know, you know you're in trouble on the debate shows. When there's nothing else going on, Uh, you decide, hey, we're gonna talk Michael Jordan's versus Lebron James. What does this do in your mind? This documentary which uh, for me, like I said, and watched it with my twelve, my nine, and my five year old and they didn't really know Michael Jordan at all, right, And uh, and so this is sort of the legendary portrayal that I think is going to reflect very favorably on Michael Jordan's What does it do for the debate for really an entire generation of basketball fans that came of age after Jordan's and the Bulls were the ascendant dynasty, and it's definitely helped Georgiana. I feel like when I was growing up, every time I watched highlights, sport highlights, it felt like they were in black and white. So at least when your kids are watching it, it's in color, so it makes it looked like it wasn't that long. But they pointed out the fact that there was no three point line, you know, like my kids are like in disbelief watching Jordan play back in back in eighty two with the U n C. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And I also like the Chicago blue uniforms with the script lettering, which is actually pretty good. I think it will help Michael Jordan, you know, having covered both of them, and I think for Lebron, I think once you're even in the debate, it kind of tells you what kind of player you are. And some people are gonna say Lebron, I would still always say Michael Jordan's. I just never I just felt like when times were tough, Michael Jorge and was going to somehow come through and he and he always did where you know, Lebron has had some things. You know, I was at the game when Lebron played against Boston that game five in Cleveland, his last year in Cleveland, the first time around where he just stood in the corner in the whole second half and basically didn't take any shots. And he said he's had some moments like that. Obviously, that's first Finals with Miami against Dallas. Said listen that he's not a perfect player, and neither was Michael Jordan, but when judging the who you think is the greatest of all time, those those things kind of count and I would still That's why I would still put George I listen, Lebron James is an unbelievable player. But also remember this tool. When Michael was going through it, he had to go through like the bad boy Pistons, but you were allowed to knock him to the ground every time. And then when he played against the Nicks, that's the way pat Riley felt that we had. There are only chance to pete Michael Jordan's to beat him up Lebron. And this isn't Lebron's fault, but he's in a different NBA where you're not allowed to do that. You're not allowed to hit him every single time he goes to the basket. We're talking to Frank Solo at the Frank I Sola on Twitter. What about the double body blow here for Lebron James. I mean, he's potentially going to be able to contend, certainly for his fourth title with the Lakers, which would be on his third different team. We don't know if the NBA is going to come back. We're not sure how this season is going to resolve itself. But then out of nowhere comes the ghost of Michael Jordan's to also torment Lebron. I think we talked about this. I mean, Lebron, of every player in the NBA stands to lose the most in the league, doesn't come back, and now you're dealing with kind of the ghost of Michael Jordan's that will never disappear. This is a tough time for Lebron's career, particularly. I think if you factor in that he's thirty five years old, and we just don't know how many years beyond the age of thirty five he's gonna be able to play at an elite level. Yeah, right, I think the team that has the most to lose is the Milwaukee Bucks, and a lot of that conspector into be honest, resigning, and I think the player that has the most to lose is Lebron James, and I'm sure if it's gotta be frustrating for Lebron Alright, So some of the The one thing that was like surprised about a couple of things in the documentary was Michael going out and playing golf with Danny Ames on the off day right after he had put forty night. Now there is a little part of me that thinks this is kind of Michael Jordan's also trying to be a sly fox, to try to maybe get like some intown whatever the case may be. But let's be fair here. If Lebron done that after losing a game on the road to the Boston Celtics, it would become a bigger deal. But I just think Lebron is one of these guys whenever there's like missteps, if you want to call on that. When he had the decision and the fallout from that where people turn against him, there never seemed to be anything that really turned anybody against Michael Jordan's including walking away after winning a third title, he walks away and goes plays baseball. He's not very good at It's What's Illustrated puts him on the cover and they tell him bag at Michael. He still doesn't forgive his What's Illustrated for doing that to him. He then comes back in ninety but if he's not really ready to play, if they get knocked out, then they win the next three championships, and then he leaves again. It's almost like nothing Michael Jordan could do could turn the public against him or any like a little misstep from Lebron for whatever reason. Maybe maybe Lebron comes across there is a lot more arrogant than Michael Jordan. I don't know what, you know what it would be. I just don't think Michael Jordan would have a show like The Shop back in the day, having his friends sitting around telling about how great every The theme of every show eventually gets to the point, no matter who's the guest on the show, it's let's stop for a minute and let's talk now about how great Lebron is. I don't think Michael Jordan would do that. I think the primary difference between Lebron and Michael Jordan in terms of their personalities is Michael Jordan didn't care whether you like them, And ultimately, ultimately people don't like people who are terribly concerned with whether or not you like them. And I think this is just Lebron's insecurity. And I don't even know where exactly Lebron's insecurity comes from, but I think everything around and Lebron ultimately comes back to he's insecure, and uh give, I think this is where you can give credit to Michael Jordan. He talked about it a little bit. Maybe the way he was raised, maybe it was, you know, being insecure in his family. He talked about how he you know, he worried about how he wasn't the favorite son of of of his dad. You know, that that he had a brother who was better than him at basketball, all those things. I wonder whether he worked through his insecurity issues as a kid and so by the time he was an adult he was well adjusted enough to not care right to be comfortable in his own skin. I've never really felt like Lebron was comfortable in his own skin. As good as he is, He's a lot like Kevin Durant, it seems to me. And maybe this is partly generational where it's like everybody's got rabbit years and as soon as uh, you know, you're desperately worried about whether the public likes you or not. I mean, Michael Jordan's is not on social media, you know. Lebron James is constantly on social media. I just Lebron has always seemed to be like somebody who desperately cares whether you like him or not. And he also is growing up in the internet, Internet here and social media. He's really the he became yes, and I think you could Kevin Durant is in the same boat as well, and I think for both of them too, I think they were belocked players when they were considered the little engine that could in the teams that they're playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in Oklahoma City, and when they leave to go to join a better situation, I think the it's natural sports fans to not like it from a sporting standpoint, So then there's some type of backlash from that, and those guys can't understand it, Like Kevin Duran's like, why don't you like me? I'm still the same person, and people say, no, no, no, we don't like the fact that you left a good team to go to the best team. And the same thing with Lebron. You left a very good Cleveland team to now join the super team. No one is saying you're not allowed to do it, but sports fans are are allowed not to like it. And I think that everything Jordan did Clay turned to gold. Remember he was losing his hair as a young man. He shaved his head, and then it became cool for every black guy in his head shape. White guys had to wait for Bruce Willis. That's a sign of how popular Michael Jordan is. I've always I've always said is that he made male pattern baldness for black men so popular that people with hair pretended they didn't have hair. Uh. And by the way, I would say this to Lebron and Kevin Durant. Both had an opportunity to lean into the black hat era like we saw Reggie Miller and Charles Barkley do. Neither one of those guys are really that much of jerks now that we know them in the media. But they just didn't care, you know what their media perception was. Lebron and Durant could have done it, they didn't. Thanks Frankie sol that we gotta get the break we come back more of our draft. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at Fox Sports Radio dot com and within the I Heart Radio Labs. Search f s R to listen live. Let me run through where we are right now in the draft. We let the OutKick crew do the draft force eight seven, seven, nine, six, three, six, nine, Joe Burrow, Chase Young. This is in order, the top fifteen picks so far, so you don't draft the guys who are already gone. Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Jeff Akuda, Jedrick Wills to a tacoa. That's the first five. At six, we have Justin Herbert seven, Isaiah Simmons eight, Andrew Thomas nine, Kai Beckton ten, Xavier McKinney eleven, Jerry Judy twelve, Ceedee Lamb thirteen, Henry Ruggs fourteen, Javon Kinlow, and in the fifteen spot Justin Jefferson. All right, that's the first fifteen picks. When we come back, we will be drafting on behalf of let me go ahead and pull up the draft will be on the sixteen pick, which is the Atlanta Falcons, follow by the Dallas Cowboys and the Miami Dolphins before the Raiders pick again, and then the Jags pick again. That is up to twenty alright, so eight seven, seven nine nine six six three six nine. I feel pretty good about how you guys have done so far. We will finish off the mock draft. Uh four out kick in and as you told us earlier in the show, Danny g we got six right last year. Yeah, so it shouldn't be hard to beat last year's results. I feel like this draft that we've got so far is in pretty solid position, uh, in terms of being able to get six or more right and uh and top what we did last season. So you guys load up the phone lines. Double field of eight seven seven nine nine, six six three six nine. So far, we've only had one, I would say user error. We got bogged down at ten. We had a guy try to draft somebody who'd already been drafted, and uh. We also had a way overreach. So honestly, that's probably what the Cleveland Browns have spent years doing. So maybe that was an accurate reflection of this mock draft. But we will continue. We'll finish out the first round. We're also going to talk to our guy, Dr David Chow. We'll see what the absolute latest from him is on TAH and also get an update a little bit on the coronavirus. I think collective surgeries are starting to happen again across much of the country. Will see whether the doc has been able to go back to work in San Diego or not. All of that still to come. This is Outkicked the coverage with Clay Travis opening up the phone lines. I think we have people lined up ready to pick eight seven seven nine, six six three six nine. As you hear people drop off, you can make the pick yourself, running through really fast. Joe Burrow, Chase Young, Jeff Acuda, Jedrick Wills to Justin Herbert, Isaiah Simmons, Andrew Thomas, Kai Beckton, Xavier McKinney, Jerry ju E, Ceedee Lamb, Henry Ruggs, Javon Kinlow, Justin Jefferson. Those are the first fifteen picks of the OutKick Mock Draft. Let's move on. The Atlanta Falcons are next on the clock. They are picking sixteenth. And who do you have them taking? Uh? Dub? Who's our picker? All right? We got Josh in Kentucky. Josh, are you taking? But take Derek Brown, defensive tackle from Auburn. Solid pick? Alright, solid pick for the Falcons. Seventeenth pick overall. Dallas Cowboys on the on the clock. They've got They've got Marie Cooper resigned. They got Dak on the on the franchise list. Who are they gonna take? Who's up, dub We got Derek in Baltimore, Baltimore, derreck, Derek? Are you taken? I'm taking Nick Harris out of Washington State? All right, I'm gonna be honest with you. Where's let me bring in the crew. How much do we know about Nick Harris? It's not on my not on my board either anybody first round? Anybody got him on the board. We're invalidating the pick, all right, we're invalidating the pick. First time that the commissioners have had to step in and invalidated pick Baltimore, letting us all down, uh, seventeenth overall pick. Dallas Cowboy fans were saving you from Nick Harris from Washington State? Who I know nothing about? Who's up next? Dub? We got Kevin in New York. Kevin, who are you gonna take Dallas Cowboys are gonna select h C. J. Henderson, the cornerback on the floora Gators. That's a solid pick, all right, I'm very familiar with C. J. Henderson. Not a bad pick there for the Cowboys. Miami Dolphins next on the chart, dub Let me know when I need to pause and let you refill the phone lines. But in the meantime, who's picking for the Dolphins? All right? We have Dave in West Virginia. Dave and West Virginia. What do you got for us morning, Clay with the fifth overall pick. We took our quarterback hoping to take the tackle. What's going to protect him? Select system words out of Iowa. Uh, this is a solid pick, I believe again the Iowa tackle Tristan Worfs, who I think cousin Sal said that would be a really you know, you'd have to be pretty happy. I think about that. We did a you know, we're doing uh lock it in videos now digitally and Sal picked him as the as the potential first tackle off the board for the Giants today and uh in one of our yesterday and one of the videos we did. All right, the Raiders are back on the board. Who's gonna pick the Raiders second first round pick for the Raiders? Now we got Jason in Michigan. Jason, who are you going with? Now we're going to Javin ken Laws, defensive tackle out of South Carolina. All right, this is the second time, second time that we have had to have a do we have the prices right? Not a not a positive sound when you bust on the prices, right, the Javon Kimlo has already been drafted. He was the Let's see where was he taken? Let's see ken Law was. So it just happened relatively recently in the draft. So that's unfortunate. The Raiders bomb by trying to take a player that had already been taken, which is kind of Raiders esque, honestly. Not who's the pick at nineteen? Now, who's picking for us again? Dub We got Rodney in Virginia. Rodney in Virginia? Can you make up for the fact that the Raiders just drafted a player who had already been taken in the OutKick mock draft? See, this is what I say every time somebody screws up it like it adds up. It's it's it's it's a comedy of errors. Every single time somebody is screwed up, the next person is totally thrown off their game. So is that a? Is that a phone air dub? Or is that a? Is that eally on our guy? Yeah? That was That was a Rodney error there, Clay, all right, so do we need to load? Uh? Let me let dub reset eight seven, seven nine nine six six three six nine, Let dub field all these calls now, Clay, this is where some people are thinking that Jordan's love could maybe go off the board if Mayock can convince Jon Gruden to go with a young quarterback. Well, I'll also acknowledge as you go further into the draft, you have to be more and more of a draft nick. Right. It's pretty easy to do the top five or six picks because those guys get a vast majority of the attention. But as you move later into the first round, into the final thirteen or so picks, One, you have to be able to pay attention to who's already been drafted. Two, you have to be able to know at least the draft board a little bit in order to do a good job making picks down the stretch. Here, so we are sitting right now at the nineteenth overall pick for the raid is their second of the first round, the Jacksonville Jaguars at twenty. Should we let the Raider crew give you guys an opportunity to actually pick for the Raiders the pressure, I'll let you and Roberto debate and discuss amongst yourself. Who do you want at nineteen for the Raiders? Man, this is hard and this is this is what we're getting from the Chicago Bears here, So it's got to pay off because this is this is from Yeah, this is the second pick from mac Okay, so I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go Christian Fulton from l s U. I like this dude. He's almost six ft two pounds all sec selection. Um, he's got a good all around game. He's got really good footwork. From the YouTube stuff I was watching, he could pretty much hang with any wide receiver. And if you watched Mahomes pick apart the Raiders defense last year, they definitely need some more help at cornerback. Okay, all right, doub are we did back up? Well sort of, we have. We can go four more here on the OutKick mock Draft. All right, So I'm not very confident in in in your belief there. All right, let's go to the Jags. Who's picking twenty? We got Ryan and Vermont Ryan. Who are you going with? We gotta re pick up defensive back. I'm gonna go a j Barrel from Clemson? All right? So that corn Yeah, it could make some sense. Let's go a little bit of a run on corners here in the OutKick draft. The Eagles Fly. Eagles Fly are up next. Who are we going with? Alright? We got Alex and Georgia. Alex on behalf of the Eagles. Who do you select? Patrick Queen l s u Um. He's in. He's in most first rounds, right he is? Yeah? A lot of people have them going to the Saints. At okay. The Vikings are up next to The Vikings have committed to Kirk Cousins. They've traded away Stefon Diggs. It's a it's a wide receiver heavy draft, but we already had a wide receiver run to a certain extent. Who are the Vikings gonna go with? We got Andrew and Phoenix. Andrew and Phoenix, you're on for the Vikings. That's a solid pick. I think a little bit high maybe for t Higgins, but he's been a big time playmaker for the Clemson Tigers over the past several years. Uh and uh and has been, you know, a first round staple in mock drafts for a long time. Maybe a bit of a reach there, but I can see how it makes sense for the Vikings as they replaced Digs. A lot of people have Mims going as the next wide receiver the Patriots. This is one of the most intriguing questions in the entirety of the NFL Draft. The New England Patriots at twenty three. Doub who are they taking. We have Austin in Pennsylvania. Austin, you're picking for the Patriots. You may hate them if you're from Pennsylvania. For the Patriots that have Jordan's love quarterback, Yeah, you know that would be interesting. The Patriots are not favored to go with a quarterback. But if you sit there and look at it, if Bill Belichick is in love with one of the quarterbacks later in the draft, he's coming back with Jared Stidham, who obviously has not proven very much at the NFL level, and then he's got Brian Hoyer. So either you look at Cam, you look at Jamis, you look at assuming they're going to release him, Andy Dalton or Joe Flacco, or you go into the draft and find somebody if you're not committed to the idea of what you can get from from Stidham or from lawyer. All right, do we need to let the phone lines get loaded up again? Here, dub, we got one more if you wanted for that New Orleans selection? All right? The Saints are on the board at and then I think we'll be set up to be able to come back to finish off the show and uh and complete the draft. Who were the Saints taking? We have Tim and Hudson for the Saints. Tim, what you got for me? So you've been so wrong about the coronavirus. I've been trying to get through you for weeks. Man that that toll has doubled. This week's boys think coming back any time? So when you're a class I wish you could just leave those guys on. Actually I'm still oh yeah, so you so you so, what what would you like to say? I'd like to say they're just still love based about the coronavirus. You live, so you don't think I don't live in the Midwest. I live in the South where so you don't think that sports are going to be you don't You don't think that sports are gonna be back at all. Well, one thing, you said, we had less than a thousand deaths like a week of since then even look, what is what is this guy's name? This is Tim? Tim? Why are you such a corona bro? I'm not a corona bro. Why are you such a freak for the government? Free love freak for the government? Yeah, you love Trump? You just up, I root for the president of the United States to be successful. Okay, have those believes You're just trying to feel I should see your redneck followers in the Midwest, so you wouldn't even none of that hold on. You say that you're obsessed with the Midwest. Do you think everybody in there in the Midwest are rednecks? No, I'm not saying that. I'm just saying, between this president that's done a terrible job in office to Canada that you that you spew on sports radio, why do you listen? Why do you listen to me every day? Then I've been trying to get through for three weeks your block, So for three weeks hold on. If you hate me, why have you been listening for three straight weeks trying to call in? I can't, Tony. I've waited for the chance to debate this with you forever. I've never debate what where. You're really obviously a smart dude. Um, you're really bringing bringing the power here for the audience. So you've been waiting for three weeks to debate what with me? Just to say that you're so on face with this coronavirus thing that cater What do he lives when you live? You know, nobody lives. Nobody lives where I live. I mean, they're millions of people who live where I live. I live in Nashville, Tennessee. There are millions of people who live in the South. There are millions of people who live in the Midwest. Where do you live? I live in Boston. I've been listening to network. Okay, So you've been listening to me every day for three weeks, and this is your opportunity to call in and serve me. And boy, I've been You've been listening to me since day one. So if you hate me, how come you're listening to me every day? Do you come right on after the other show. Your radio doesn't Your radio doesn't Your radio doesn't change dials. I could change it if I wanted to. I'm just getting radio working on the morning. I listen to what you say because I find it comical comic. I just I you really haven't said anything. So you've been waiting three weeks to call in and serve me and prove how wrong I am and say nobody lives where I live because you live in Boston, where some people live, but nobody else lives outside of Boston. You still haven't made any point that it has any logical basis at all. Do the kimmick, You do the routine kimmick, I do the gimmick I do in the routine that I do. This is the Accadama here. We're really educated. We have the best healthcare systems in the world in Massachusetts. We're way bore decent to you guys, how where you live. I just can't believe you actually took my phone call and steeled it, and I've never thought you would have done that. You don't you block everybody in your Twitter feat anybody who disagreed that you. You hit the block, but you think people are talking directly to you on Twitter. You take everything so personal. Man, This is the guy who has been listening to the show and trying to call in for three straight weeks, obsessed with everything that I say, thinks that I take everything so personal. This is I mean, this is an an incredible irony. I mean, you still haven't made any point what You've been waiting for three weeks to call in and serve me, and you just keep like you're like a drunk guy in a bar fight. You just keep taking big swings and then like you're spinning around in a full circle and you're about to knock yourself out. And I'm not even having to argue with you. Continue. I said, you race bait everybody you you race? What are you with Peter King? You tried to argue with Peter King about I don't even know what it was about. You pre recorded it. He's not gonna wake up at six am. You're on at three am in the West Coast. You're not even You're covered up by most markets. Your opinions are not relevant. Hold on, do you think that we pre taped Peter King? I know you pre tape a lot of your shows. I mean a lot of your shows, so you don't even do live. This is not like you're not even making any sense. Peter King called in live. I tweeted him in the morning, and he called in live. He agreed to come on the show in the morning. If you think Peter King wasn't live, then you think Peter King planned to lie on his Twitter feed and say, yeah, I'll call in if you donate money, and then we all staged that. You think Peter King came on the show? Uh, and and that was all staged. Yeah. It's hard when you keep cutting me off to say what I'm saying, because I'm talking. Yeah, I think I think you show. The show is on from six to nine am Eastern, which is one of the most lucrative times that a radio show can air. We're on early on the West Coast. That's the way the time zones work, and as a result, a lot of people on the West Coast in this hour are waking up and they are listening to you, and they are starting off their day by saying, of all the people who could have called from Boston, we got the dumbest person in all of Boston to call in and try to argue with Clay, And my god, what an idiot this guy is. He's so dumb he doesn't even realize how dumb he is. You're gonna go back and you're gonna listen to this and you're gonna maybe realize for the first time since you were in grade school. Man, my teacher wasn't lying when she said I was gonna amount to nothing and I was gonna grow up and be an idiot. She was right. Has he gone to say to me that I haven't heard before? I'm right here, I'm still talking. Yeah. You know, you can't call me idiot. You can't call me dumb. You call everybody dumb. That's your go to. You're dumb, I'm educated. Dumb people shouldn't vote. I'm clear, Travis, Dude, you're gonna be on a billboard chase and injured people in a few weeks because you're gonna be out of what it's gonna be. Why am I gonna be out? Why am I gonna be out of work? Because you're so off base? Everybody hates you because your coronavirus take You're making national news for the wrong way. You block everybody on Twitter. Your face is gonna be on an accident. Prevent your billboard saying Hey, did you get in a car accident? Come sue me. A lawyer can tell this sort radio because I spect being a lawyer. I love Trump, don't to all my red knick fall was complicit. People still suck play what a call this is? This is what's your Twitter handle? By the way, unfortunately we lost Tim Tim um What some people say, like why do you let people talk? Sometimes I enjoy like when you are really not very smart, like Tim was, you just let people talk and they end up proving that they have no basis in reality whatsoever. But one of the things that I think is interesting is Tim says he hates me. Right, Tim has been sitting around, he's been stewing. He's furious at the world. He thinks that Boston is the center of the universe, and everybody who doesn't live in Boston doesn't live anywhere where anybody lives. That's a big part of Tim's perspective. But really what you heard from that is Tim is so incredibly insecure with the fact that I own his tiny little pea brain because listens every day. And what's amazing about things like, you know, people like Tim is they embrace sort of the hater gene right, Like, I know about you, but if I hate a television program, I don't watch it. If I hate a radio program, I don't listen to it. But there are certain people like Tim who have such pea brains that people like me just own their every thought. And he doesn't realize that. Every single day he sits down and makes me more successful because Tim thinks, oh, I just serve Clay Travis. Oh my god, I just I just sent a message to everybody out there. The reality is, most people out there who are listening are like that. They love me even more after hearing Tim, and Tim is still gonna be listening for every day is long into the future as you can get. It's like the Howard Stern effect. The more people hate me, like Tim, the more my ratings go up. I mean, we are dominating right now. We're one of the three or four biggest sports talk shows in the country, and a big reason it's because people like me, right, And I appreciate that if you're out there and you're listening, you start your morning with me because you like me. I appreciate that. I appreciate you, but I also love that people hate me, because I love the idea that Tim is going to be sitting around thinking about me all day long and it drives them crazy. And he's saying, like, you block people on Twitter. Yeah, I blocked people like Tim on Twitter because I guarantee you Tim has created like fifteen different accounts, and he sits around in his free time tweeting me hundreds of times. And if I roll into my mentions and I want to see what people are sharing, I don't want to see the same dude with an i Q of forty six tweeting me over and over and over again. So yeah, I'll block him. I don't do that very much. I mean, I got I don't know what seven thousand Twitter followers, whatever the heck the number is. I've probably blocked a few hundred p pull over time. But Tim is so obsessed with me and everything that he's been trying to get through for three weeks. So congrats to Tim. He served all of you, all of you rednecks in the Midwest. You don't live in Boston, you don't live anywhere that matters. According to Tim, this is outkicked the coverage with Clay Traffics hundreds of you reacting to Tim from Boston didn't go well for him on the Twitter dot com or the radio dot com. Welcome back in. Let me go ahead and go to Dr Chow. Dr David Chow at Pro Football Doc on Twitter, joined by him. Now, all right, Doc, we finally get a verdict of some sort on t H. What do you think the verdict is going to be in terms of his health? Is it going to ultimately impact in a big way where he gets drafted? Well, obviously TA is the key to this draft because where he goes changes everyone's mock drafts in terms of what the rest of the time ten looks like. And all I can tell you is my medical thoughts have not changed over time. Certainly the thoughts about to have been all over the board, from from you know, uh, last year tanking for two and the whole deal before the hip injury to now wonder lit questions is he injury prone? And how is that hip and so forth? Look, Medically, I don't think he's a uh, he is of some risk. But look what I've been saying all along is if he really were the first pick of the draft before he injured his hip, I don't see how he falls or that he should fall out of the top ten or so of the first round, that he maybe even five six, etcetera. That's a considerable drop to go from one to five six or to just top ten. But I don't think the hip is something that I mean, he'll be ready to play Week one this season. The reason he won't play is there's no offseason program m, so it's hard to learn the position and transition to an NFL quarterback. That's that's the bigger reason he won't play. And no, I don't believe he's injury prone. Uh the ankle injuries, etcetera. Now is he prone to injury? Well, I mean most mobile quarterbacks are more prone to injury. The biggest strongest one we know is Cam Newton, and we know he's been off injured. So that's kind of where I've been at. But I'm not an analysis of teams, uh of scouting and ord GM, So we'll see where he goes. What do you think in general, other than two, is there anybody with a health condition that we should be concerned about that might be in the mix to be a first round pick. Well, one just popped on the radar screen yesterday, and I know fans are going to say this is just draft, smoke, screen, etcetera. I hadn't noticed it yet, but Jerry Judy's teammate there to his teammate has some issues with his knee. Now people are going to say it was a two time was an eighteen niscope. He played that too in the spring. He played in two thousand eighteen and two thousand nineteen. In two thousand eighteen with thirteen hundred seven yards and fourteen touchdowns and uh two thousand nineteen eleven d some and ten touchdowns, played straight games, no issues of problems. But the note his doctor, his surgeon wrote in support of Jerry Judy's knee after Adam Schefter talked about it, I think on Philadelphia radio has me worried. The note says it's a ladd O meniscus tare, which is worst prognosistem media. He lost most or's not all of his the back part of his meniscus, which means that the shocks over a function on the outside of the knee is not there. And the worry there is long term arthritis over time. Now he's The surgeon says that he hasn't had any issues at Alabama, and that probably is true, Like he's not gonna lie, but of course he's you know, this is a this is a draft, this is a letter recommendation. Right, They're all gonna be positive, so to speak. But I have some worries about arthritis in the long term on Jerry Judy's knee as much as long term arthrightst worries and to his hip. So if there's if I'm talking to a GM and there are two wide receivers rated the same and Jerry Judy is one of them and the other one's healthy, I'm gonna lean towards picking the other one. Uh, that would be potentially a danger because Jerry Judy, for many people was right now he's favored to be the first wide receiver or second wide receiver off the board, either he or Cedee Lamb. Also with Henry Ruggs the third fellow Alabama receiver up there at the top as well, and in what is a very deep wide receiver draft, there may be some teams that take him off the board based on what you just said. Effectively, what is a knee that could have substantial wear and tear well or get there. I mean the Latto compartment arthritis lerates more quickly than medio and and doctors around the league. No, this this is not new to them. The thirty two teams got a chance to examine the combines and look at it. There isn't anything that I'm saying, or the news that's being broken now that's going to change it into their minds. When I was a team position in the NFL, I didn't look at media reports or other doctors letters and change minds because we looked at the players themselves. So for those saying, why are you, you know, hating on this poor guy's career, I'm not not. Anything I said doesn't change anything that the teams have made in terms of their medical decisions. Um, all right, let's go back to We've talked with you quite a bit about the coronavirus in general. Are you more or less optimistic this week than you were last week about the return of sports based on what you've seen? You know, I think it goes all over the board. I you know, I'm still reasonably optimistic about the return of sports. Of course, we don't know how, and we don't know what the circumstances if there's fans how far apart all fans wearing masks, temperature screens, you know, repeat testing for players. The status of vaccines. Uh. You know, San Diego started to open up a little bit at least Can you do elective surgery yet in in San Diego? Uh depends on how you what you call elective. I mean, here's been my philosophy. Look, we're not doing uh, cosmetic surgery, and I don't do that personally anyways. But you know, in the past, when you know, a few weeks ago, if you had a menisca's tear where your knee was locked and you couldn't walk and you were using crutches, that was not considered elective and we would do your surgery. Now we've moved towards Look, you've been dealing with your menisca's tear and walking on it in some pain for several weeks. You're able to walk on it, but you know, perhaps it's time to do your surgery. So it depends on your definition of elective. We are doing necessary surgeries. It really depends on your definition of electives. We're talking to Dr David Chow at Pro Football Doc. All right, you will be online uh and following along the draft with everybody else. If people want to follow you for the latest on UH, for for twa or any other medical issues that might arise. Sometimes you have some crazy issues that come out that we didn't know about on the day of the draft because of all the different machinations and all the different sort of dark arts. I would call it of the of the draft process. Where can people find you at Pro Football Doc. We will talk to you next week, my man. Yep. And there's over forty draft picks analyzed medically at pro football dot dot com. And I'll probably be on periscope some today and maybe during the draft as well. Awesome. That's Dr David Chow at Pro Football Doc on Twitter there. This is outkicked the coverage with Clay Traffics. We are trying to complete the raft. Uh. Let's go ahead and go fast here to get as many picks in and then we'll open the phone lines back up and let you guys finish off. Right now, we are on the what is the New Orleans Saints are updub let's go, let's roll all. We got Tyrone in New Orleans. Tyrone, whore you taking the Saints you're there, you get to pick for him. Who's your pick? Yes, sir, Patrick keen Shoe, he's already drafted. Ah all right, Uh that's a that's a whiff. He was ready, he had his man, but Patrick Queen just went to when he first overall pick Dub. Alrighty, let's go to Derek in Florida. Derek, who you got for the do it for the Saints? Hey, Clay love the show. Um, I'm gonna go with Jacob Eaton quarterback. He can sit behind and learn the game for a little while. He reminds me of the quarterback lade down in Miami not too long ago. Mike Marino. Yeah, Mike Marino, Dan Marino. I don't know what's going on there? Y, yeah, Dan Marino. Mike Barrio was not as well, not as successful Marino, bro that Hall of Famer Dan. All right. So the Jacobson a little bit earlier. You heard Jacobson, by the way, on this program in our one. He's not necessarily projected to go there. But are we gonna allow it? Will allow it? Because he was against on the show Vikings picking twenty five? Dub. Who's up co Missouri? Who's the pick? For the Vikings. I will go with uh, Jack Vaughn linebacker Wisconsin. Who is Zack Vaughn on any of these on any of the first round draft boards? No? And the Vikings need a wide receiver. All right, So the draft is falling apart here. We've had this is this is definitely not going well right now. All right, let's go dub who's up next? We got Baltimore, We got Johnny and Ocean City Johnny, who you got? All the Ravens are very happy and we're gonna take Kenneth Murray. You're not even picking for the Ravens. Ravens right now. The Ravens are at We still are stuck at the Vikings at Oh my god, can I can I make the Vikings pick? Yeah? You can make the Vikings. Thank you, Denzel Mims from Baylor. All right, that's a solid pick, Baylor wide receiver, Denzel Mims. Alright, that moves us up to the are we back to the Dolphins again? The Dolphins are picking again. At we had Travis and Korea that called in. He wanted to pick for the Dolphins here. He couldn't stay on hold, but he wanted to pick Marlon Davidson, my guy from Auburn University. That's a solid pick. Appreciate his service over in Korea. Alright, we're now at the Seahawks at all right? We got Jay up in Wisconsin. Jacob, who are you picking for the Seahawks? Uh? Seahawks. I'm gonna go with h Josh Jones offensive tackle. Alright, that's solid. Um, So we're through seven. I feel like right now we're leaking oil a little bit. We're like the NASCAR car that's on the last legs on the tires. We don't know how much is left in the car. Can we get to the finish? How many calls? What's the situation right now? Do you need to feel calls? Dub Well, we can do a couple more. I'm gonna go back to our man who wanted to pick for the Ravens. Are that they are on the clocks again, Johnny, who are you taking? I'm gonna go back to my boy, Kenneth Murray. I don't didn't expect him to be around this late, but uh old uh old Marino getting drafted a couple of rounds before through me off? All right, Uh yeah, yeah, Mike Marino getting drafted twenty nine overall is the Titans. I feel like I can pick for them. Grottis Mottos. I might be messing up his name, the rush to and tive end from Penn State. You know who I'm talking about. Yeah, uh so I'm gonna take him. Titans need a rush defensive end. We're not sure what's gonna happen with you Deabon Clowney. Uh that leaves us. Uh, So I'm taking him. I'll make the pick for the Titans. Uh. And then we're at thirty for the Green Bay Packers. Who's up? Dub? We got Jeff and Virginia for Green Bay? Jeff, who do you want to take for Green Bay on the OutKick mock draft? All right? What anybody? What's the Kyle Warson situation? The NASCAR driver? Anybody? No? Uh? People think that the Packers are probably gonna go with an offensive tackle here. All right, so we got three picks left. How do we want to do this, Dub? What do you suggest? Should we just finish it off for the OutKick crew? Yeah? I say we keep it in house with the OutKick crew, try and nail maybe one of these picks for our mock draft. That would give us an extra hit on this deal. I think that could do us in benefit. All right, So we got the forty Niners, we got the chief and we got no sorry, we got the Packers, We got the forty Niners, and we have the Chiefs. Three of the four best teams in the NFL last year. I just picked for the Titans. Which one do you guys want to take? I'll go with the Packers here at thirty Okay, who are you gonna take? Austin Jackson offensive tackle from USC right here in southern California? Baby, Yeah, that's a solid pick. I think the Packers would be ecstatic if he were still around there. The forty Niners at thirty one, and then the Chiefs at thirty two. What do we think they are going to do? Who wants to pick? I'm gonna go. I'll go with the I'll go with the Chiefs, all right. I think if the Chiefs, there hasn't been a running back who's come off the board, right Uh? The Chiefs, I believe if they could get a running back, given that they had the issues with Kareem Hunt, if they could get Swift out of Georgia, that would be a phenomenal pick for them at thirty two overall, pair him with Patrick Mahomes. We already know how explosive that off offense is. How good would he do in this Kansas City Chiefs offense? I think if they could get Swift at thirty two, that would be an incredible pick. And then the Niners at thirty one. Who wants to pick for the Niners? Is Men's still on the board? Here went off the board at at So the last pick here in the out kick draft with one minute left is Jeff gladenly available, I believe is available. Jeff Gladeny cornerback. All right, there you go for that. That is the forty pick. Robertos stepping in. So we have now completed the draft and one to thirty two. What's the over under? Quickly on? How many do we get? Right? I'm actually gonna go eight. I feel good about this draft. What about you? Over under eight? Danny g You know the top twenty was so strong. I'm gonna say nine. Now you're going over What about you, Dub I'll go under eight. I'm gonna put the number at seven and a half. I think it lands right at eight. I think that's a good prediction, Roberto, how would you go over? U? Under? All right, So we appreciate all of you. Thank you for everybody who have participated in the OutKick listener draft.
