Author and veteran TV writer Troy Schmidt joins me on The Vinelife Podcast to talk about The Seven, his faith-based action-adventure series for young readers, and Alive, the seventh and final book.
Troy shares how the series began, how his own faith journey influenced the character of Josh, and why the story ultimately leads to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.
We also talk about Troy’s years working in television, what Christians should know about working in entertainment, how to maintain integrity in Hollywood, the importance of creating high-quality faith-based media, and why A Charlie Brown Christmas had such a lasting impact on his life.
Troy also shares advice for young writers and creators, stories from his career, and the childhood dream that eventually became a life of writing and storytelling.
