Giles and Greg talk to director Kansas Bowling about "Cuddly Toys," her mondo-style satirical mockumentary about the dangers facing teenage girls. But first, we talk about what's new in the world of weird movies, starting with Tom Cruise-fronted "Digger," an Oscar hopeful with some degree of "Megalopolis" energy, as well as the "Donnie Darko" re-release, in theaters only from Oct 2-4. The week's physical media releases are led off by a Blu-ray of the channel-surfing absurdist feature "Buffet Infinity," a trove of Studio Ghibli steelbooks (with a digression to talk about the underrated "Porco Rosso"), the new 3-movie Leos Carax collection from the Criterion Collection, a 4K upgrade for Norman Jewison's "Jesus Christ Superstar," and a Something Weird/AGFA archival double feature of "The Acid Eaters" paired with obscurity "Space Thing."
