Steve Lentini speaks with Kevin Yoder, a real estate entrepreneur, mindset coach, and creator of Infinite You, about building the self-awareness and conviction to move beyond self-imposed limits. Yoder explains how to clarify emotionally meaningful goals, meet friction without abandoning them, and carry lessons from achievement into leadership and sales; Lentini adds reflections from his own career and recovery. Mindset coach Kevin Yoder joins host Steve Lentini to explore how beliefs, self-image, and meaning shape behavior and personal growth. Yoder introduces five human drivers and practical questions for challenging self-limiting patterns, while Lentini adds coaching insights on learning from failure and managing the mind. Takeaways:
“The first gate of change is in personal growth is awareness.”
“If I truly do believe in it, then I should be able to simultaneously argue the polar opposite against my viewpoint.”
“Stability, agency, connection, expansion, and meaning.”
“The driver that I just described, the five drivers, explain the why, but the paradigm and the self-image shape the how.”
“What would the infinite version of you do to meet that same driver?”
“There's no meaning except for the meaning we give it.”
“What's the lesson? What's the lesson?”
“As long as we're making stuff up with our imagination, why don't we just make something up cool?”
“We're choosing that path.”
“Are you happy with your current results?”
Action Items:
Notice when your behavior feels incongruent, and assess what is and is not working.
Define a goal clearly and connect it to a personally meaningful reason; keep asking why until you reach the root motivation.
When you meet resistance, assess whether the goal matters enough to persist, and consider quitting distractions that conflict with it.
After a breakthrough, name the specific trait that helped you through and reflect on how it can serve other areas of life.
In sales conversations, ask about the other person’s definition of success and stay genuinely curious about their needs.
Examine beliefs and assumptions instead of automatically seeking evidence that confirms them. Notice a belief and ask whether it is a fact or a personal truth.
Try arguing the opposing viewpoint to test how deeply you understand a belief.
When you feel stuck, ask: “What would the infinite version of me do to meet this same driver?”
After a painful event, pause and ask what lesson you can take from it.
When your imagination starts projecting a feared outcome, deliberately imagine a constructive possibility instead.
If seeking change, assess whether your current results satisfy the needs that matter to you.
