218: Finding Purpose Through Pain: How God Uses Erosion to Polish Your Soul

Are you going through a season of pain, growth, or spiritual transformation? In this powerful episode of The Purpose Effect, hosts Alesha and David dive deep into how God uses hardship to shape us — like a stone being polished, we become less so He can become more. Through honest conversation, raw testimony, and biblical wisdom, they unpack: The masonic symbol of the ashlar and how God erodes our rough edges Why God knows every single person intimately — even in a city of millions How Old Testament patterns of idolatry mirror our modern struggles Building an unshakable spiritual foundation through daily Scripture and prayer Practical tools for taking thoughts captive and breaking the spiral of shame The difference between fleeting happiness and deep, lasting joy Why "always" and "never" belong to God alone — not us How to turn life's pain into fertilizer for growth The power of forgiveness, repentance, and trusting God in the wilderness Whether you're battling addiction, wrestling with faith, or simply trying to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus, this episode will encourage you to stop floating through life and start living with purpose, clarity, and action.
