MENGENAI EPISOD INI
If you’ve been telling yourself you’ll take action once you feel “ready”, this conversation will hit a nerve. I’m joined by transformational coach and property investor James Wyatt, and we go straight at the hidden blockers that stop smart people from doing deals, building confidence, and following through on the goals they say they want.
James shares the mindset principles behind what he calls an “impossible start” and why real progress often requires a point of no return. We talk about building a clear vision for your ideal life, why your environment and your circle matter more than you think, and how a strong community can pull you out of hesitation.
Along the way, James brings in unforgettable stories and metaphors, including the idea that you should treat your body like a “million-pound racehorse” if you want consistent results in real estate investing.
You’ll also get James’s practical MINDSET framework: daily energy and self-care habits, intuition and clarity for decision-making, networking tactics like speaking to the speaker, 100% commitment to kill decision fatigue, plus systems and standardization so your property business can scale.
Whether you’re focused on buy-to-lets, HMOs, rent to rent, service accommodation, or commercial to residential projects, the through-line is the same: remove limiting beliefs, move with intention, and execute with consistency.
If this helps, subscribe to the podcast, share it with a friend who’s stuck, and leave a review telling us which mindset shift you’re taking into your next deal.

00:00:00.479 --> 00:00:08.080
If you have anything stopping you from taking action, getting the results that you think you deserve, you need to listen to this episode.
00:00:17.679 --> 00:00:21.760
Hello, and welcome to the Property Unleashed with me, your host, Mark Fitzgerald.
00:00:22.079 --> 00:00:29.839
So today we have another externate from the Property Growth Summit that we ran in March.
00:00:30.000 --> 00:00:45.600
And this time, I have a very, very good friend of mine, James Wire, whose presentation was amazing, all about limiting beliefs, what could be stopping you, what could be your biggest blocker.
00:00:46.079 --> 00:00:48.960
Go through this session, listen to this session a few times.
00:00:49.119 --> 00:00:57.119
James is an expert in himself in helping people remove the limiting beliefs so that they take the actions that they need to take.
00:00:57.280 --> 00:01:01.359
He's got a great methodology that he's going to share with you in this episode.
00:01:01.520 --> 00:01:04.239
So all that leaves me to say is enjoy.
00:01:04.400 --> 00:01:05.599
I know I did.
00:01:05.840 --> 00:01:07.439
And I'm not going to waste any time.
00:01:07.519 --> 00:01:11.040
So I'm just going to introduce our next speaker, Mr.
00:01:11.120 --> 00:01:15.200
James Wyatt, who is here helping host this session today as well.
00:01:15.280 --> 00:01:16.719
I appreciate your time today.
00:01:16.879 --> 00:01:24.000
But James is an expert when it comes to mindset mastery and really digging deep and removing those mental blockers.
00:01:24.079 --> 00:01:37.760
It's something he does, you know, on a basically a weekly, probably even a daily basis in our community, ETA, where he helps people that are struggling to get those deals over the line, struggling, struggling to get out of their own comfort zones.
00:01:37.920 --> 00:01:42.480
James has been working on himself in the sense of his own mindset and everything.
00:01:42.560 --> 00:01:46.400
And that's what makes him an expert in this field because he's so passionate about it.
00:01:46.480 --> 00:01:48.959
And you will see that in his presentation now.
00:01:49.120 --> 00:01:53.439
So without further ado, my friend, I shall hand the reins over to you.
00:01:53.599 --> 00:01:55.040
Give you the stage, Mr.
00:01:55.120 --> 00:01:55.920
James White.
00:01:56.079 --> 00:01:56.319
Enjoy.
00:01:57.840 --> 00:01:58.560
Round of applause.
00:01:58.879 --> 00:02:00.959
It really has bigged me out there, isn't he?
00:02:01.439 --> 00:02:03.760
Can I really solve all your problems?
00:02:04.000 --> 00:02:05.359
Yes, I probably can.
00:02:05.519 --> 00:02:08.080
Because I think that, you know, first of all, welcome everyone.
00:02:08.159 --> 00:02:10.400
It's absolutely brilliant to have you all here.
00:02:10.560 --> 00:02:14.479
And of course, the first step in anything is actually taking action.
00:02:14.560 --> 00:02:26.879
So the fact that you've dialed in, you've taken some time out of your day, you've taken action, you've you've put one step in front of the other towards, you know, getting towards that ideal life that you deserve.
00:02:27.199 --> 00:02:29.520
An ideal life that you deserve.
00:02:29.680 --> 00:02:36.159
So my name is James Wyatt, and I live and work now in the Northeast with my wife and family.
00:02:36.400 --> 00:02:46.639
And my background for at least 20 years of my life was logistics, where I helped, I helped DPD actually develop that one-hour delivery window back in 2012.
00:02:46.719 --> 00:02:52.719
The thing that we all rely on now, that was uh down down to some of the things that I was developing at the time.
00:02:52.960 --> 00:03:00.000
I bought and scaled, or have bought and scaled and sold two award-winning passable businesses.
00:03:00.159 --> 00:03:04.719
And I actually left logistics in 2022 completely.
00:03:05.039 --> 00:03:19.120
I'm now a transformational coach where I use the skills that I learned in building successful teams to bring the best out of my clients in their business and property investing.
00:03:19.280 --> 00:03:42.479
And along with mindfulness and fitness, I really am very good at um getting that best version of you out and encourage you to take on challenges, to grow, and to really become the version of you that's really going to help you achieve your goals and get you towards that that uh that ideal life that we all want.
00:03:42.800 --> 00:03:48.879
I also invest in property and I've completed a few commercial to residential projects.
00:03:49.039 --> 00:03:54.960
I've got some buy-to-lets, I've got a CMO, which is a commercial multiple occupancy.
00:03:55.039 --> 00:04:00.479
So instead of it being a HMO, these tenants actually don't argue over milk and they go home at the end of the day.
00:04:00.639 --> 00:04:01.840
Just kidding, Mark.
00:04:02.000 --> 00:04:04.879
So I do I do do a bit of property.
00:04:05.039 --> 00:04:13.520
And really for me, as you'd expect, is it's all about combining what really fires you up, what's your passion, what do you enjoy doing?
00:04:13.680 --> 00:04:21.199
And I think that for me, I wanted to combine spiritualism, which I'm very, very enthusiastic about, and customer centricity.
00:04:21.279 --> 00:04:27.680
If if you think about back to my parcel days, it was just, you know, I was in the customer service industry.
00:04:27.839 --> 00:04:30.079
It just happened that I moved parcels.
00:04:30.240 --> 00:04:37.279
Well, I'm still very happy to be in the customer service industry, but I will be providing accommodation for my clients.
00:04:37.519 --> 00:04:44.480
So I wanted to integrate spiritualism and good design and thumbshu into property.
00:04:44.639 --> 00:04:46.560
And I thought, how can I do that?
00:04:46.639 --> 00:04:51.040
So I've created and will be creating a brand called Soulful Stays.
00:04:51.199 --> 00:05:03.600
Now, Soulful Stays is going to be a high-end, you know, top-end, well-designed apartments where guests can experience in-house chefs and mindfulness treats.
00:05:03.759 --> 00:05:15.040
And I think that if you have got the desire to build a brand and you, you know, and you've got that passion in you, then you know, really should be looking at scaling that.
00:05:15.199 --> 00:05:17.360
Trying to, it's not all about owning properties.
00:05:17.439 --> 00:05:20.000
Sometimes it can be just about controlling properties.
00:05:20.079 --> 00:05:26.160
And the reason I say that is because if you think about all of the hotel chains, they are probably all doing rent to rent.
00:05:26.240 --> 00:05:29.920
They probably do not own the the these big tall hotels.
00:05:30.000 --> 00:05:35.439
So there's an opportunity there that if you want to think big in rent to rent, think like a hotel chain.
00:05:35.759 --> 00:05:50.720
So I'm really, really thrilled to be part of this and really excited as well because when I started in property in 2022, I really wish that I'd have had something like this that I could have plugged into because I think this is this is phenomenal value for money.
00:05:50.800 --> 00:06:02.480
This is world-class training with people start people that are in the industry that have their feet on the ground and and are you know bringing to market new strategies and actually making a living from property.
00:06:02.639 --> 00:06:07.199
So, for this to be free, and it is just incredible value for money.
00:06:07.279 --> 00:06:09.040
So I hope that you're getting the best out of today.
00:06:09.120 --> 00:06:15.199
I hope you're making lots of notes, and I hope that you can come on board and join us on ETA uh as well.
00:06:15.439 --> 00:06:22.079
So I really wanted to start with that with this slide and you know, building the impossible.
00:06:22.240 --> 00:06:35.759
And this is a saying that I say to my clients, and I'll say that incredible success, not just normal success, incredible success is a choice that you make, but it usually starts from an impossible start.
00:06:36.079 --> 00:06:46.079
So, what I really wanted to discuss here was that you know, we can all experience success from the comfort of a nine to five.
00:06:46.240 --> 00:06:48.560
I'm talking about true success.
00:06:48.720 --> 00:06:55.360
I'm talking about a point of no return, a leap and worry about the landing.
00:06:55.519 --> 00:07:05.360
And if you are in pursuit of your ideal life, if that's truly what you want, then you should be ready to go all in.
00:07:05.519 --> 00:07:18.560
You should be able to untether yourself, point of no return, jump in because this is your future, this is your ideal life, this is the biggest thing you're ever going to achieve in life.
00:07:18.800 --> 00:07:24.399
So you better be ready to start from an impossible place because it's going to get tough.
00:07:24.720 --> 00:07:31.199
And I would say this they did a Harvard study, so a business study on entrepreneurial people.
00:07:31.360 --> 00:07:36.160
You know, what is the difference between successful entrepreneurs and wannabes?
00:07:37.040 --> 00:07:47.519
And it was actually a financial point of no return, a point where they had financially invested in themselves and there was no going back.
00:07:47.680 --> 00:07:50.399
So, and I can give you an example of this actually.
00:07:50.480 --> 00:07:58.480
So, my wife, Lida, uh, she quit her job and spent all of our savings, yes, on her book business.
00:07:58.639 --> 00:08:06.000
You know, she writes uh spiritual children's books and has you know had to self-publish her books.
00:08:06.240 --> 00:08:08.879
And we are, you know, fully committed to that.
00:08:09.040 --> 00:08:20.160
And it really did dawn on her how committed she is and how she can't go back when an Arctic lorry turned up with 15 pallets of stock.
00:08:20.399 --> 00:08:22.480
That was the day I can tell you that.
00:08:22.720 --> 00:08:30.720
So, you know, that that I think that that's really, really important that we understand that it's true success is going to be from an impossible start.
00:08:30.879 --> 00:08:38.399
And what I like to do is I like to get inspired by some people that you know that that inspire me.
00:08:38.559 --> 00:08:44.720
And one of the guys that inspires me, you guys, excuse me, it looks like the the PowerPoint presentation is giving us all the information.
00:08:45.120 --> 00:08:47.279
So don't don't read too much of this.
00:08:47.360 --> 00:08:50.080
I'll and I'll I'll I'll I'll talk talk to you about it as I go.
00:08:50.159 --> 00:08:56.399
But basically, Peter was born in New York in 1961 to to parents who were Greek immigrants.
00:08:56.480 --> 00:08:59.360
So that's a pretty mediocre, mediocre sort of start.
00:08:59.600 --> 00:09:02.240
No real silver spoon, no real resources.
00:09:02.399 --> 00:09:03.679
This is how it was.
00:09:03.919 --> 00:09:11.919
And I think that when Peter grew up in 1961, then there was already the the sort of space race, if you like.
00:09:12.000 --> 00:09:21.120
And I remember that when President Kennedy stood there and addressed the US nation and said that we were going to put a man on the moon before the end of the decade.
00:09:21.360 --> 00:09:34.000
What he actually was doing there is actually, you know, setting sail on a path he wasn't sure about because his technical team, his scientists were already telling him at the time, we do not have the technology to get to the moon.
00:09:34.320 --> 00:10:00.639
So Peter was inspired by that, that point of no return, and it really got him into the space uh industry in a sense, and he became a little bit, you know, you know, he really got into it, and he continued his love with space by studying engineering and medicine, and it and it actually helped him to encourage his business, which is called XPRIZE.
00:10:00.799 --> 00:10:19.200
Now, XPRIZE is really, really clever actually, because when we talk about building a power team, and that's what Mark was saying, and it is exactly what you should be doing, because if you think you can go it alone, you it's just so difficult and it just takes forever, you better have being surrounded by the right people.
00:10:19.360 --> 00:10:30.320
But what Peter did, which was brilliant, is he understood that the the intelligent people that could solve highly technical problems all worked for individual companies.
00:10:30.480 --> 00:10:35.840
Some of the very best people at Google, the best people at you know, some of the some of these technical businesses.
00:10:36.799 --> 00:10:39.360
What he found was is they were all friends.
00:10:39.519 --> 00:10:45.679
So the geeks, if you like, were all getting together at the weekends and gaming and spending time together.
00:10:45.759 --> 00:10:55.279
So what he did is he created this company called Edge Prize, where he basically offered a large amount of money for people to solve really technical, difficult problems.
00:10:55.440 --> 00:11:02.080
So these people got together, so he created this power team from the most incredible top-end businesses.
00:11:02.159 --> 00:11:03.279
How clever is that?
00:11:03.519 --> 00:11:07.519
And he he he over, you know, he overcame some very tech difficult problems with that.
00:11:07.679 --> 00:11:13.600
He co-founded, it was Peter Diamandis, is his name, and he co-founded a university.
00:11:13.679 --> 00:11:19.840
Imagine that, he actually created and started his own university, which is just phenomenal in itself.
00:11:20.080 --> 00:11:21.360
And he had a goal.
00:11:21.600 --> 00:11:31.200
He had a goal, and he asked NASA about this, and he said, NASA, I want to be the first person to offer commercial flights into space.
00:11:31.360 --> 00:11:35.919
And the head of NASA was a woman at the time, and she said, No, you're not doing it.
00:11:36.159 --> 00:11:43.840
And Peter was never a man that uh he used to say, if you can't change the rules, ignore them.
00:11:44.000 --> 00:11:47.360
I mean, that's pretty crazy to think that and say that.
00:11:47.440 --> 00:11:48.320
But he actually did.
00:11:48.399 --> 00:11:57.200
He just he went he went ahead anyway, he solved all of the problems that he was coming across with, you know, put it putting planes commercially into space.
00:11:57.360 --> 00:12:00.960
I think famously, uh Stephen Hawkins was one of his first customers.
00:12:01.200 --> 00:12:08.799
Took him 10 years, but he did he did get people into space, he did not take no for an answer from NASA.
00:12:09.120 --> 00:12:17.200
And there was also something else that's quite clever about that is that uh NASA were most insistent that people wore boots when they went up into zero gravity.
00:12:17.440 --> 00:12:19.360
And Peter challenged that as well.
00:12:19.519 --> 00:12:25.440
He literally knocked on the office of the lady at the top of NASA and said, uh, why do we have to wear boots?
00:12:25.519 --> 00:12:27.200
They're just they're just annoying.
00:12:27.440 --> 00:12:28.639
You know, why do we got to wear boots?
00:12:28.720 --> 00:12:30.399
So she said to him, Well, actually, let me find out.
00:12:30.480 --> 00:12:40.639
So she found out that it was because that the military needed to have their boots on at all times in case they were they landed and they needed to be in an operation.
00:12:40.720 --> 00:12:43.440
So it was actually you know a military reason.
00:12:43.519 --> 00:12:50.159
So if he actually got that change, and you don't need to wear boots in space now, so you can get your socks out, which is absolutely great.
00:12:50.320 --> 00:12:57.600
And I love this about Peter when he says that the best way to become a billionaire is to help a billion people.
00:12:57.840 --> 00:12:58.799
How good is that?
00:12:58.960 --> 00:13:01.120
What a guy, Peter Diamandis.
00:13:01.200 --> 00:13:03.440
One of his great books is Get Abundance.
00:13:03.519 --> 00:13:06.879
I thoroughly recommend that you you read that.
00:13:07.279 --> 00:13:10.639
So, and that moves on to someone that really has inspired me as well.
00:13:10.720 --> 00:13:11.919
So you've got Helen Keller.
00:13:12.159 --> 00:13:16.480
Now, Helen Keller, she never really used her disabilities as an excuse.
00:13:16.559 --> 00:13:20.799
She never leaned on them to avoid opportunity and accountability.
00:13:20.960 --> 00:13:24.799
And as you can read here, as a baby, she became she became ill.
00:13:24.960 --> 00:13:32.240
I think she she she got meningitis, and at the at the age of 18 months, she became deaf and blind.
00:13:32.399 --> 00:13:33.759
So just imagine that for a minute.
00:13:33.840 --> 00:13:36.399
At the age of 18 months, she became deaf and blind.
00:13:36.559 --> 00:13:39.600
So she became very insular, very isolated.
00:13:39.679 --> 00:13:46.720
She really obviously couldn't communicate with the world, but then this miracle that came into her life, Anne Sullivan.
00:13:46.799 --> 00:13:59.759
She came into her life and she taught Helen to spell words using her hands, finger spelling, and then Helen went on, it opened up her world, and she went on to be a remarkable woman.
00:13:59.919 --> 00:14:04.159
You know, the first deaf-blind person to achieve a Bachelor of Arts.
00:14:04.240 --> 00:14:05.919
So she got a university degree.
00:14:06.080 --> 00:14:07.360
How cool is that?
00:14:07.600 --> 00:14:10.639
She wrote several books, which is just phenomenal.
00:14:10.960 --> 00:14:13.360
Public speaker for disabled rights.
00:14:13.440 --> 00:14:17.600
Can you see how she did not lean on those excuses not to really go on?
00:14:17.840 --> 00:14:23.360
And you've got to remember, this is during the first world war and into the second world war, and she was a woman.
00:14:23.600 --> 00:14:25.360
This is an incredible achievement.
00:14:25.519 --> 00:14:30.559
And I know that she worked really, really closely with the American Foundation for the Blind.
00:14:31.200 --> 00:14:39.840
And what she said here was, you know, the only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.
00:14:40.240 --> 00:14:40.639
Yeah.
00:14:40.799 --> 00:14:45.519
I mean, that that really does strike home for me with that.
00:14:45.600 --> 00:14:47.600
I just think she's just an incredible woman.
00:14:47.759 --> 00:14:59.840
And I think we should we should all really take note of the fact that it doesn't matter what setbacks you think you have, if your intention, if you really want to achieve something, then you shouldn't let them stop you.
00:14:59.919 --> 00:15:03.360
So that was, you know, those are two people that really inspire me.
00:15:03.519 --> 00:15:14.320
And I think they represent how vision is really important, your vision, what are your goals, what's your ideal life, and how important it is to have a power team around you.
00:15:14.399 --> 00:15:18.480
Because Peter Demandus would say his X Prize guys and girls.
00:15:18.559 --> 00:15:20.000
So really, really clever that.
00:15:20.559 --> 00:15:28.799
So let's look at something that I think that is probably what's blocking people, what's actually stopping us from really getting on.
00:15:28.960 --> 00:15:32.320
And you know, you know, what do you believe you are capable of?
00:15:33.039 --> 00:15:34.480
You shouldn't be able to answer that.
00:15:34.799 --> 00:15:39.840
You should not be able to answer that question because it's it's limitless.
00:15:40.000 --> 00:15:43.919
Your potential is, you know, it's sky's the limit.
00:15:44.000 --> 00:15:53.679
Like, like Mark was talking about earlier, and like sometimes we all feel like we are inadequate, imposter syndrome, but that's just because we are so full of potential.
00:15:53.840 --> 00:16:01.200
That's that feeling inside of your little voice, that inner voice saying, No, we are we are nowhere near what we can achieve.
00:16:01.279 --> 00:16:04.879
And that's why I think that that feeling of inadequacy is in there.
00:16:05.120 --> 00:16:08.320
So, you know, my question is what is your vision?
00:16:08.639 --> 00:16:13.039
You know, what is it that you imagine your life to be like?
00:16:13.200 --> 00:16:14.639
What is an ideal life?
00:16:14.879 --> 00:16:20.320
And I really think that it is important that we imagine that.
00:16:20.480 --> 00:16:28.399
You know, it's really important that you take time out in your day to sit and imagine what your day would be like.
00:16:28.639 --> 00:16:30.559
What's the ideal life like for you?
00:16:30.720 --> 00:16:32.240
Are you sitting on a beach?
00:16:32.399 --> 00:16:34.080
Are you opening children's homes?
00:16:34.240 --> 00:16:35.360
Are you helping people?
00:16:35.519 --> 00:16:38.639
Are you, you know, being a philanthropist?
00:16:39.039 --> 00:16:43.519
You know, what it is, what is it that your perfect day is?
00:16:43.840 --> 00:16:50.480
What would happen if I gave you the money to do the choices that you would want to do?
00:16:50.639 --> 00:16:53.679
Well, that is all about having the imagination in the first place.
00:16:53.840 --> 00:16:56.720
If you can't imagine it, then how can you work towards it?
00:16:56.879 --> 00:17:06.319
So it's really important that if you're going to have a life of purpose, that we can imagine it, you know, and also who around you shares your vision?
00:17:06.559 --> 00:17:10.480
Like I said, it's very important to have the people around you that share that energy.
00:17:10.640 --> 00:17:16.240
You know, what are you doing to encourage the right people to share time with you?
00:17:16.559 --> 00:17:18.319
Who do you spend time with?
00:17:18.640 --> 00:17:26.160
You all know that classic rule that you know you become the people that you most spend your time with.
00:17:26.400 --> 00:17:28.799
So, who are you spending your time with?
00:17:28.960 --> 00:17:31.759
And and how can we get the right people around us?
00:17:31.920 --> 00:17:40.240
Well, we're gonna go through all of that, and I'm gonna give you seven steps so that you can become a better version of you.
00:17:40.559 --> 00:17:48.000
And if I could give you one percent improvement in each of these, then that's seven percent just from today.
00:17:48.160 --> 00:17:50.640
Imagine if you did that for the next six months.
00:17:50.799 --> 00:17:54.319
My goodness be, the exponential would be incredible.
00:17:54.559 --> 00:17:58.400
And I think that's really what today's talk is going to be all about.
00:17:58.559 --> 00:18:04.400
You know, it's all about imagining big, you know, really taking time out of your day to see your ideal life.
00:18:04.480 --> 00:18:08.799
And I promise you that life has a way of bringing the opportunities to you.
00:18:08.880 --> 00:18:20.559
If you're willing, if you're transmitting, you will receive the opportunities, you know, and you know, it's got to feel impossible now, your ideal life.
00:18:20.720 --> 00:18:29.920
Obviously, the year ahead, don't go too mad, don't give yourself impossible targets because you're just gonna you're gonna create procrastination, you're gonna put too much pressure on you.
00:18:30.000 --> 00:18:31.519
And Mark would agree with this.
00:18:31.680 --> 00:18:35.359
You really want to make sure your first six months, your first year are achievable.
00:18:35.599 --> 00:18:41.279
But if I'm giving you 10 years, 10 years to achieve, I want it to be impossible.
00:18:41.440 --> 00:18:47.440
I want you to tell me, James, I'm planning on opening a cafe on the moon.
00:18:47.599 --> 00:18:48.480
That's what I want to hear.
00:18:48.559 --> 00:18:51.440
I want to work with people that have impossible goals.
00:18:51.680 --> 00:18:57.519
Okay, so let's crack on with those seven tips.
00:18:57.920 --> 00:19:01.279
Well, we start at number one, M.
00:19:01.680 --> 00:19:02.960
The letter M.
00:19:03.119 --> 00:19:04.480
It starts with me.
00:19:04.880 --> 00:19:19.680
Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are ready for greatness, you are ready to start towards your ideal life, and you have everything you need right now.
00:19:20.079 --> 00:19:24.880
You don't have to go looking for it, you don't have to get your ducks and start putting them in a line.
00:19:25.039 --> 00:19:28.240
You have everything you read you need right now.
00:19:28.480 --> 00:19:40.720
Everything inside you is is there for you to use, and I really do believe that how you see yourself, what you know, what's my what do I limit myself to?
00:19:41.200 --> 00:19:47.200
How how do I see myself, you know, really reflects how you see the world.
00:19:47.359 --> 00:19:51.119
I don't want to lose you too much in the woo-hoo, but it is it's true.
00:19:51.519 --> 00:20:06.960
You know, scientists have proved the minute you look at reality, what actually happens is it goes into your brain first, decipher what you see based on your past experiences and your and your experiences and what you know, and then it interprets what you see.
00:20:07.359 --> 00:20:10.079
So it does go inside to see outside.
00:20:10.160 --> 00:20:13.119
So what is inside you reflects what you see outside.
00:20:13.359 --> 00:20:23.200
So if you feel happiness inside, and some people do, you can see them all around, there's some happy people out there, then that's because they see a happy world outside.
00:20:24.000 --> 00:20:26.240
It's a really, really simple thing to do.
00:20:26.319 --> 00:20:32.240
If you're a doom and gloomy sort of person, if you've got a victim mindset, then you're gonna attract that.
00:20:32.400 --> 00:20:39.279
In fact, you're gonna be attracting people that you can spend time with and tell, you know, misery loves company, as they say.
00:20:39.519 --> 00:20:43.440
So it's really important that you feel happy inside, even if that's difficult.
00:20:43.599 --> 00:20:53.440
I mean, there is scientific evidence that if you wake up in the morning and the first thing you do is smile, just put a smile in your face, even if you don't feel like it.
00:20:53.599 --> 00:20:58.240
It has an impact on your mood, and that will reflect how you see the day.
00:20:58.720 --> 00:21:03.839
Be energetic, be passionate, be the most passionate person in the room.
00:21:04.079 --> 00:21:07.599
You will attract passionate people to you.
00:21:07.759 --> 00:21:10.960
And who wants to work with doom and gloom?
00:21:11.119 --> 00:21:11.920
I don't.
00:21:12.160 --> 00:21:14.240
So shine brightly.
00:21:14.559 --> 00:21:19.839
Opportunity is looking for people with their hand in the air like this.
00:21:19.920 --> 00:21:22.480
Here, here I am, come to me, opportunity.
00:21:22.640 --> 00:21:30.480
And that means investors and service providers are, you know, they you know, like-minded energetic people are gonna want to work with you too.
00:21:30.559 --> 00:21:32.799
So we've got to do is raise your energy.
00:21:33.039 --> 00:21:42.319
You know, I was in a cafe in Newcastle, and I was, and on the wall it had this slogan that said, Shy Banes Getting Out.
00:21:42.400 --> 00:21:46.240
It's a northern saying, and it made me think it's absolutely true, isn't it?
00:21:46.400 --> 00:21:50.559
We need to speak up, we need to get away from that shyness.
00:21:50.640 --> 00:21:55.759
So speak up, ask questions and go for your opportunities.
00:21:56.000 --> 00:21:59.759
And this is the beginning of you on the road to your ideal life.
00:22:00.400 --> 00:22:01.680
And you will be challenged.
00:22:02.079 --> 00:22:02.640
Good.
00:22:02.880 --> 00:22:11.839
Challenges for me is a physical thing that you stand on to get a better view, to see what's coming.
00:22:12.079 --> 00:22:16.720
Challenges are designed to make you feel uncomfortable.
00:22:16.960 --> 00:22:23.200
So get uncomfortable being comfortable being uncomfortable.
00:22:23.440 --> 00:22:27.519
So, and and and what I'm going to do here is I'm just going to give you a few examples.
00:22:27.680 --> 00:22:30.559
This is not me preaching and telling you what you should do.
00:22:30.720 --> 00:22:34.079
This isn't me saying if you do this, your life would be great.
00:22:34.240 --> 00:22:37.599
But these are some of the examples that me and my clients do.
00:22:37.759 --> 00:22:42.319
And I think that even if you did do a few of these, it would certainly help.
00:22:42.880 --> 00:22:45.279
You know, for me, I mean it starts the night before.
00:22:45.359 --> 00:22:49.119
I always have a glass of water next to me for when I break when I when I wake up.
00:22:49.279 --> 00:22:52.400
You know, you've lost you've lost a lot of water during the night.
00:22:52.480 --> 00:22:57.759
So we need water in our brain to help us help us think better, give us clarity.
00:22:58.240 --> 00:23:00.240
I like to start my day with gratitude.
00:23:00.319 --> 00:23:01.440
Look, you're alive.
00:23:01.599 --> 00:23:06.319
You know, if you look over and you're alive, you're waking up next to a loved one, or your kids are coming in the room.
00:23:06.640 --> 00:23:07.599
Be grateful.
00:23:07.759 --> 00:23:08.880
You've got another day.
00:23:09.039 --> 00:23:10.079
Some people don't.
00:23:10.319 --> 00:23:13.279
So you have to start a day with gratitude.
00:23:13.440 --> 00:23:14.480
That's what I like to do.
00:23:14.720 --> 00:23:17.279
And I hope that you would do that a day.
00:23:17.440 --> 00:23:22.880
Some of my clients will have the luxury of being able to go and meditate.
00:23:23.200 --> 00:23:25.279
And of course, you've got time to meditate.
00:23:25.599 --> 00:23:30.880
Just use an app on your phone and get yourself to wake up before everybody else if you have to.
00:23:31.119 --> 00:23:33.680
But meditation helps you stay in the present.
00:23:33.839 --> 00:23:35.599
That's the essence of mindfulness.
00:23:35.759 --> 00:23:48.160
I should have used letter M as mindfulness as well, but it's really important that you do get time to yourself to look at you know your life and get yourself into that wonderful meditative state.
00:23:48.240 --> 00:23:50.880
And that helps with imagining your ideal life as well.
00:23:51.200 --> 00:23:56.640
Like I said, get up early, get out of bed, go and have a little dance, have a little jig.
00:23:57.200 --> 00:24:01.440
I truly think that if you can raise your energy, get out there in the sunshine.
00:24:01.519 --> 00:24:08.880
Oh my goodness, the sun when it's shining on us, surely we all feel the heat and the and the love.
00:24:09.039 --> 00:24:10.480
I mean, the sun is a miracle.
00:24:10.640 --> 00:24:14.319
Let me tell you how much the sun is a miracle that it's shining.
00:24:14.400 --> 00:24:24.240
If there's any physicians out there, scientists, quantum scientists, the actual chances of what the sun does for us is very unlikely.
00:24:24.319 --> 00:24:32.319
Because what the sun actually does is it performs fusion, it forces positive neutrons to collide and create energy.
00:24:32.480 --> 00:24:35.359
That's a bit like the energy when you put two magnets together.
00:24:35.440 --> 00:24:37.759
You can sit them all you like, but they repel.
00:24:37.920 --> 00:24:43.119
Well, what's the chance of you smashing those particles together to create heat and light?
00:24:43.279 --> 00:24:48.960
Well, the sun does that billions of times a second for you.
00:24:49.680 --> 00:25:00.400
So sit in it, feel the heat from it, appreciate the miracle that that is, take your shoes and socks off as well, and get those feet on the ground and get grounded.
00:25:00.559 --> 00:25:02.559
Grounding is a really, really important thing to do.
00:25:02.640 --> 00:25:07.440
It connects you with nature because you are nature, you are part of the universe.
00:25:07.599 --> 00:25:11.200
And then I want you to imagine a great day ahead.
00:25:11.519 --> 00:25:13.839
Everything going right.
00:25:14.400 --> 00:25:19.759
In fact, I'm gonna give Mark, I'm gonna borrow that magic wand and I'm gonna give it to you, and I'm gonna say this.
00:25:20.000 --> 00:25:24.720
I want you to imagine that you cannot fail today.
00:25:25.599 --> 00:25:27.599
In anything that you do, you cannot fail.
00:25:27.759 --> 00:25:29.440
Imagine if I gave you that.
00:25:29.839 --> 00:25:36.720
Well, you've got it, you've just got to believe it, and just start that day with a with an absolute smile.
00:25:37.440 --> 00:25:39.039
And I want to give you a gift.
00:25:39.279 --> 00:25:40.400
I want to give you a gift.
00:25:40.480 --> 00:25:47.119
I'm actually going to give you to start your this ideal life, a one million pound racehorse.
00:25:47.200 --> 00:25:54.640
I'm going to give each and every one of you a million-pound racehorse, and it's going to win races, and it's going to bring you all that money that you need.
00:25:54.799 --> 00:25:58.079
Remember, money just gives you the choices to do what you want to do.
00:25:58.160 --> 00:25:59.440
It's really important, that is.
00:25:59.519 --> 00:26:01.200
Because money itself might make you happy.
00:26:01.279 --> 00:26:02.640
It's the choice that it gives you.
00:26:02.799 --> 00:26:07.279
So I'd ask you, I'd probably bring you up and say, hey, how's that racehorse coming along?
00:26:07.440 --> 00:26:09.039
You know, what are you feeding it?
00:26:09.200 --> 00:26:09.599
Yeah?
00:26:09.759 --> 00:26:11.680
What are you nourishing that racehorse?
00:26:12.000 --> 00:26:13.680
Are you giving it the best food?
00:26:13.839 --> 00:26:17.119
I hope that you know it's organic, freshly prepared.
00:26:17.279 --> 00:26:18.160
Of course I am.
00:26:18.400 --> 00:26:21.920
I'm preparing it all myself with the very, very best ingredients.
00:26:22.000 --> 00:26:25.839
I am looking after that horse for that million-pound horse that you gave me.
00:26:26.000 --> 00:26:29.119
And I'm certainly not taking it through any drive-throughs.
00:26:29.279 --> 00:26:30.880
And are you keeping it in shape?
00:26:31.039 --> 00:26:33.359
Are you keeping it in top, tap, top condition?
00:26:33.519 --> 00:26:34.799
Yes, of course I am.
00:26:34.960 --> 00:26:36.480
It is in tip-top condition.
00:26:36.559 --> 00:26:37.759
I'm exercising it.
00:26:37.839 --> 00:26:40.880
I'm I'm being really careful about how I treat it.
00:26:40.960 --> 00:26:43.599
And of course, if there's any injuries, I get straight on them.
00:26:43.839 --> 00:26:46.480
Any signs that things being fixed and I'm straight on it.
00:26:46.640 --> 00:26:48.400
And how do we keep that horse in shape?
00:26:48.480 --> 00:26:50.400
Well, we challenge that horse, don't we?
00:26:50.480 --> 00:26:55.599
We make sure that we put it out there and challenge it and stretch its capabilities.
00:26:55.759 --> 00:27:03.359
If we want to, you know, if we want to enter it into the grand national national, we are going to be up against some others that we need to be prepared for.
00:27:03.680 --> 00:27:09.759
So I'm really, I really, really hope that you are looking after that million-dollar racehorse.
00:27:09.920 --> 00:27:14.079
Well, here's the thing that racehorse is you.
00:27:15.200 --> 00:27:15.920
It's you.
00:27:16.079 --> 00:27:17.279
You have that racehorse.
00:27:17.359 --> 00:27:20.319
That is your body, that is the gift that you have.
00:27:20.559 --> 00:27:27.279
So just let that sink in for a minute, and that's what you should be doing, looking after your million-dollar racehorse.
00:27:27.519 --> 00:27:34.799
While we're on the subject of horses, and I don't want to get a little bit too woofy, but Mark will tell me off of this, but this is really, really important.
00:27:35.039 --> 00:27:53.359
And this is probably why Mark was feeling Mike's actually feeling like there's a lot of opportunities at the minute, and I'm getting a lot of opportunities at the minute, and I want to explain why that is, is because we are in the year, the Chinese year of uh the horse, and it so happens that it's combined with the fire sign.
00:27:53.519 --> 00:28:03.759
So, this is the first time since 1966, we have got the year of the fire horse, and you know this is an incredible time.
00:28:04.079 --> 00:28:14.160
Fire horse energy, this is all about it, you know, it moves really, really quickly, and it amplifies, amplifies any energy you are already carrying.
00:28:14.400 --> 00:28:20.079
So if you are aligned with success, it will accelerate that.
00:28:20.319 --> 00:28:24.720
But if you're a bit scattered, you're a bit all over the place, it can magnify chaos.
00:28:24.799 --> 00:28:31.599
And it's because the previous Chinese year was all about the snake and shedding that skin and becoming that best version of you.
00:28:31.680 --> 00:28:36.319
So if you're already that best version of you, it's gonna accelerate success.
00:28:36.480 --> 00:28:45.279
So it's all about understanding that this energy will work with you, and you know, and and you shouldn't feel overwhelmed by it.
00:28:45.359 --> 00:28:46.319
You've just got to work for it.
00:28:46.400 --> 00:28:51.119
But there are three things that you need to know, and the first one is visibility.
00:28:51.279 --> 00:28:54.160
You are there's no hiding away here, you know.
00:28:54.319 --> 00:28:59.759
Shy veins, you've got to come to the forefront, you've got to not hide away.
00:28:59.920 --> 00:29:07.920
This is a year of you to stand up, be courageous, be authentic, and show off your true self.
00:29:08.079 --> 00:29:10.319
I can't tell you enough how important that is.
00:29:10.400 --> 00:29:11.680
And what do I mean by that?
00:29:11.839 --> 00:29:15.839
Well, why don't you update your profile pictures on social media?
00:29:16.000 --> 00:29:17.920
Why don't you start social media?
00:29:18.079 --> 00:29:21.279
If you've got something that you're passionate about, I want to hear about it.
00:29:21.359 --> 00:29:22.880
I want to be around passionate people.
00:29:23.039 --> 00:29:24.799
So why wouldn't I want to listen to you?
00:29:24.880 --> 00:29:27.200
Get out of your own way, get yourself out there.
00:29:27.440 --> 00:29:30.079
So refresh your personal brand.
00:29:30.240 --> 00:29:32.240
I hope you're all building brands.
00:29:32.400 --> 00:29:35.039
True success comes from an impossible start.
00:29:35.119 --> 00:29:36.400
This is the whole point.
00:29:36.640 --> 00:29:39.920
And I want to see you, I want you to be seen.
00:29:40.079 --> 00:29:43.039
That is the first thing I'm really wanting to work on.
00:29:43.200 --> 00:29:44.799
Second is momentum.
00:29:45.039 --> 00:29:51.200
We need to balance that fire, avoid burnout by dip your toes on the ground.
00:29:51.279 --> 00:29:53.119
A grounding is really, really important.
00:29:53.680 --> 00:29:54.960
And how would I do that?
00:29:55.119 --> 00:30:03.119
Well, I would have some daily routines, I'd make sure that I certainly had some earth tones around me, some plants, and really get into those routines.
00:30:03.200 --> 00:30:06.880
You'll see Mark is out, I think he's out twice a day in nature.
00:30:07.119 --> 00:30:08.000
I'm in nature.
00:30:08.160 --> 00:30:11.920
Nature is a natural resource for you to take advantage of.
00:30:12.000 --> 00:30:18.640
That will help with your grounding, and also to stabilize your nervous system, which is really, really important.
00:30:18.799 --> 00:30:25.920
And number three is all about bold expression, moving quickly and intentionally with purpose.
00:30:26.079 --> 00:30:36.720
I'm not saying you should be impulsive and not do your due diligence, but more intuition, more using of your senses to really get a feel for what's best for you.
00:30:37.440 --> 00:30:42.880
So you need to understand that this is fire horse energy and that you won't get burnt.
00:30:42.960 --> 00:30:45.920
So I hope that you really do get into that and embrace that.
00:30:47.200 --> 00:30:50.720
So moving on to into intuition.
00:30:50.799 --> 00:30:53.039
Let's crack on with intuition, the letter I.
00:30:53.440 --> 00:30:57.200
And really, I really wanted to share with you something that is quite phenomenal.
00:30:57.440 --> 00:31:00.960
So your brain, via your five senses, remember all of those.
00:31:01.119 --> 00:31:03.359
There's not just your vision for watching the screen.
00:31:03.440 --> 00:31:04.400
There are other senses.
00:31:04.480 --> 00:31:08.720
We want to be out in nature, smelling, touching, feeling, tasting, feeling.
00:31:08.960 --> 00:31:10.799
These are all things we should be using.
00:31:10.960 --> 00:31:17.279
Your brain, your subconscious, if you like, is gathering quite a lot of data per second.
00:31:17.440 --> 00:31:20.799
It's about 11 million bits of data a second.
00:31:20.960 --> 00:31:30.240
But it only actually gives you to the sub to the conscious that that the the core the frontal lobe, the consciousness, about 60.
00:31:30.400 --> 00:31:33.440
So it's taking in 11 million and giving you 60.
00:31:33.599 --> 00:31:39.440
And worse, your brain is filtering out a lot of it before it gives you those 16.
00:31:39.759 --> 00:31:44.400
And it's it's going to be giving you information based on your past, which is not great.
00:31:44.480 --> 00:31:46.480
You want stuff that's based on our future.
00:31:46.799 --> 00:31:59.680
Because if we can if we can be intuitive and pick up the senses of our future ideal life, then your brain will show you those opportunities, it will show you a way of getting to that future.
00:31:59.759 --> 00:32:00.799
How great is that?
00:32:00.960 --> 00:32:06.960
So we really want to use our senses, we must must think about that ideal life that we're trying to get to.
00:32:07.680 --> 00:32:10.160
And and and really use our brain to help us.
00:32:10.319 --> 00:32:11.279
This is really important.
00:32:11.440 --> 00:32:14.160
Clarity, clarity, write this down.
00:32:14.319 --> 00:32:17.440
Clarity is the mother of intention.
00:32:17.680 --> 00:32:22.240
And we're going to get on to intention in a minute because that's staking the ground stuff.
00:32:22.319 --> 00:32:22.640
Yeah.
00:32:22.799 --> 00:32:28.720
So clarity is now is your clarity is going to come from past experiences, is my point.
00:32:28.960 --> 00:32:34.400
So I'm expecting you to, if you want to think clearly, you really do need to raise your your imagination.
00:32:34.559 --> 00:32:42.880
And the worrying thing about clarity, and the reason I put two sides on there, is that uh sometimes we can end up doing stuff that others expect us to do.
00:32:43.039 --> 00:32:46.079
I've got a friend who's both parents are doctors.
00:32:46.160 --> 00:32:48.720
So, what do you think he's expected to be?
00:32:48.880 --> 00:32:53.200
So the clarity is incorrect, it's what they want him to be, and of course, it's a doctor.
00:32:53.279 --> 00:32:56.559
So it's very important that you have clarity on what you want.
00:32:56.880 --> 00:32:59.359
You know, and clarity is tricky.
00:32:59.599 --> 00:33:04.960
Clarity is knowing what you you want, and that can take months, and that's even with a life coach.
00:33:05.200 --> 00:33:10.000
Yes, it can take time, but you finding that you know that clarity is really important.
00:33:10.160 --> 00:33:18.319
You want to be using your inner wisdom, your compass, your higher self to guide you and to recognize red flags.
00:33:18.559 --> 00:33:23.839
Oh my god, red flags are so obvious when you when you see them for what they are.
00:33:24.160 --> 00:33:29.359
And perhaps that might be a service provider or builder that doesn't get back to you.
00:33:29.519 --> 00:33:32.400
Uh-uh, red flag, we should be recognizing them.
00:33:33.039 --> 00:33:34.720
And also joint ventures.
00:33:34.880 --> 00:33:37.359
You know, I'm not a big advocate of joint ventures.
00:33:37.440 --> 00:33:53.279
I just think that if you have if it's about having the courage to do things yourself, you don't need to go straight into a JV unnecessarily, because JVs can also be you're asking someone's opinion all the time when you're starting something, and of course, you're giving away 50% of the profits.
00:33:53.440 --> 00:33:59.279
You don't have to jump into JVs, you can use service providers and pay money for that.
00:33:59.440 --> 00:34:04.720
So, in my experience, you're better off having one person leading the the ship.
00:34:05.200 --> 00:34:13.039
So, so so eyes for intuition, and and these are the benefits of intuition, you know, it really will help with quick decisions when you're using your gut feeling.
00:34:13.199 --> 00:34:19.119
Apparently, there are more, there are there are a lot of neurons just out of the brain in the stomach, that gut feeling.
00:34:19.199 --> 00:34:22.239
So, quick decisions they can help without using your intuition.
00:34:22.480 --> 00:34:27.199
Reading people, when you meet people straight away, you're gonna have an intuition about it.
00:34:27.360 --> 00:34:28.960
Well, that's that's really good.
00:34:29.039 --> 00:34:32.559
You should use that, and you don't want to you know miss opportunities.
00:34:32.800 --> 00:34:36.960
You've got that intuition, you won't miss opportunities, and you'll get great ideas.
00:34:37.119 --> 00:34:43.760
Some of your best ideas are gonna come from meditation, imagination, high-energy moments.
00:34:43.840 --> 00:34:46.639
It's just gonna be absolutely awesome.
00:34:46.880 --> 00:34:53.519
So, N for me is for networking, it's the contacts that you have, the community, your peers.
00:34:53.920 --> 00:34:56.960
You know, big tip for me speak to the speaker.
00:34:57.039 --> 00:35:00.159
Whenever you go networking, you want to be speaking to the speaker.
00:35:00.400 --> 00:35:05.440
You know, stand up, tell the room who you are, what you're trying to achieve, because that raises your profile.
00:35:05.519 --> 00:35:08.480
But I want you to make a feline for the speaker.
00:35:08.639 --> 00:35:13.840
Because I remember when I first went to my first networking event and I stood there like a sore thumb.
00:35:13.920 --> 00:35:19.760
I didn't know anybody, I just moved to the northeast, I had no connections, no friends, no colleagues, no one to speak to.
00:35:19.840 --> 00:35:22.960
I go to a networking event, and I'm all lonely at the bar, boo-boo, boo.
00:35:23.119 --> 00:35:25.199
And I actually thought about leaving.
00:35:25.360 --> 00:35:26.880
But I know better than that.
00:35:26.960 --> 00:35:29.599
So, because it looked like everybody knew each other, basically.
00:35:29.760 --> 00:35:36.239
So, as I as I sort of pulled myself up out of that, you know, victim mindset, I just thought, right, I'm gonna just start speaking to someone.
00:35:36.400 --> 00:35:41.519
So I literally approached the person that was actually running the event, and we got on really, really well.
00:35:41.599 --> 00:35:45.840
And we actually spent a week together out on a road, a road trip, and he explained that one to my wife.
00:35:45.920 --> 00:35:51.840
Hey Darlene, I'm just gonna pop off with this strange, strange guy for a week, and we're gonna do some man stuff, and you know that.
00:35:51.920 --> 00:35:55.280
But my wife knows that it's absolutely fine.
00:35:55.360 --> 00:35:56.800
That's what the opportunity is all about.
00:35:56.960 --> 00:36:01.760
What I did notice was this guy had, you know, he he just made decisions really, really quickly.
00:36:01.920 --> 00:36:11.039
He just got on with stuff, he really took advantage of the opportunities that you had around him, and he already had a hundred properties and he was still hungry for more.
00:36:11.280 --> 00:36:11.840
Incredible.
00:36:12.000 --> 00:36:16.320
But what I did do is I went to this networking event in London and I met this guy.
00:36:16.480 --> 00:36:25.920
Sorry, I went and saw this presentation about SaaS pensions, and I sat there at the front going, at the end of the presentation, I do not get any of this because I was not taught it at school.
00:36:26.079 --> 00:36:28.000
I didn't have a clue what it was going on about.
00:36:28.079 --> 00:36:33.679
So I sort of went, excuse me, Paul, I have no idea what you were talking about, but thank you very much for that.
00:36:33.760 --> 00:36:34.880
And he and he sort of laughed.
00:36:34.960 --> 00:36:37.840
He said, Yes, most people don't because we're not taught it at school.
00:36:38.000 --> 00:36:39.840
Um, and I thanked him for that.
00:36:40.079 --> 00:36:43.360
Well, a few weeks later, he came up to the Northeast and did a similar talk.
00:36:43.440 --> 00:36:54.079
And what I did is I introduced myself again, speak to the speaker, and I offered him a coffee at my house and and and have a further discussion on SaaS pensions, which he said yes to.
00:36:54.320 --> 00:37:06.000
And what he did, actually, because he was an expert, a tax expert, is that I've got this big whiteboard in my office, and now basically he he he basically gave me a complete restructuring of my business.
00:37:06.079 --> 00:37:15.920
It took him 10 minutes, you know, and he restructured all my business, and I still use that plan to this day, and he's and he's actually saved me tens of thousands of pounds.
00:37:16.079 --> 00:37:21.039
So look at that for a benefit, just go up and speak to the speak to the to the speaker.
00:37:21.280 --> 00:37:22.960
Obviously, I'll get yourself educated.
00:37:23.039 --> 00:37:24.719
That's what ETA is all about.
00:37:25.039 --> 00:37:25.679
Support.
00:37:25.920 --> 00:37:30.000
If you've got, you know, people other people are going to be going through what you're going through.
00:37:30.079 --> 00:37:32.159
So having support around you is really, really important.
00:37:32.239 --> 00:37:33.280
I talked about it earlier.
00:37:33.360 --> 00:37:38.000
You need to raise your energy to attract the right people and lead from the front.
00:37:38.320 --> 00:37:39.280
Lead from the front.
00:37:39.440 --> 00:37:44.239
You have to believe in the cause, and then your team will believe, will believe in you.
00:37:44.480 --> 00:37:47.360
So that leads me on to the letter D.
00:37:47.519 --> 00:37:49.599
D is for driving force.
00:37:50.159 --> 00:37:52.239
You know, what do you enjoy?
00:37:52.480 --> 00:37:53.920
Forget property a minute.
00:37:54.000 --> 00:37:55.119
What do you actually enjoy?
00:37:55.199 --> 00:37:56.400
What is your passion?
00:37:56.639 --> 00:38:04.079
Because I bet you you are more likely to be talking about that than you are if you're new to property.
00:38:04.239 --> 00:38:05.519
And I'll give you an example of that.
00:38:05.599 --> 00:38:10.639
My friend Johnny composes music for Disney, and he's very, very talented.
00:38:10.719 --> 00:38:15.119
And on our Zoom calls, he's got all the gear, he's got all these keyboards everywhere.
00:38:15.280 --> 00:38:17.840
He's really, really passionate about music.
00:38:18.000 --> 00:38:20.880
But he did say to me, he said, look, it's a bit feast and famine.
00:38:21.039 --> 00:38:25.360
You know, you'll get you'll get commissioned for some work, he'll get paid quite well, then it goes quiet.
00:38:25.519 --> 00:38:29.440
And I've got another friend that's in the film industry as well, and that's a bit feast and family.
00:38:29.519 --> 00:38:33.760
So he's looking for some stability, he's looking for something that he can get passive income from.
00:38:33.920 --> 00:38:38.079
And so he just thought, I'll just do HMOs because that's what everybody else is doing.
00:38:38.159 --> 00:38:40.079
That seems like a great cash machine.
00:38:40.159 --> 00:38:44.159
But I could see in his eyes, he wasn't really into HMOs.
00:38:44.320 --> 00:38:47.440
He hadn't really had it, he didn't really have the passion for it.
00:38:47.599 --> 00:38:50.320
So I said to him, like, You're really passionate about music.
00:38:50.480 --> 00:38:51.360
Yes, I am.
00:38:51.599 --> 00:38:54.320
Well, how can we combine passion and property?
00:38:54.480 --> 00:39:01.760
So we had a little thing, we had a little brainstorming, and what we actually decided to do was create service accommodation that was music themed.
00:39:02.320 --> 00:39:13.280
Then his eyes lit up, he was all excited, and he and he, you know, had this reason, this purpose to get into property, and it just made a real bit real big difference.
00:39:13.519 --> 00:39:20.719
And what I would say is that you know he's a hundred percent committed to that because a hundred percent commitment is easier than 98%.
00:39:21.039 --> 00:39:32.079
And let me explain what I mean by that is that if I decide to give something up for a month, then really I'm I'm not 100% committed to giving it out for good.
00:39:32.239 --> 00:39:45.599
So if I give it out for a month or give it up for a year, what I'm actually saying is that in a month's time or in a year's time, I'm gonna meet that point where I'm gonna have to make a decision whether I go back to the old ways or continue the new.
00:39:45.920 --> 00:39:50.880
That is decision fatigue, and that is also the definition of willpower.
00:39:50.960 --> 00:39:54.960
That's why willpower is difficult, it's just so difficult.
00:39:55.199 --> 00:39:57.760
As Michael Jordan said, love it.
00:39:58.000 --> 00:40:04.639
Once I make a decision, I forget about it because it's a hundred percent commitment.
00:40:04.880 --> 00:40:06.559
So just make a hundred percent commitment.
00:40:06.639 --> 00:40:15.280
It's the this is one of the biggest things I can give you as a gift today is you commit 100%, then you don't have to worry about falling back into that old version of you.
00:40:15.599 --> 00:40:17.360
It's brilliant, and I would use that.
00:40:17.519 --> 00:40:19.519
And of course, giving up is not an option.
00:40:19.679 --> 00:40:23.519
You know, people on this call, people that have made the effort, giving up is not an option.
00:40:23.679 --> 00:40:30.320
And set course, set your sat nav, set your ship, you know, set course and sail.
00:40:30.400 --> 00:40:38.800
Yes, you're gonna get buffeted around in the winds and the rain and the challenges, but like I said, challenges are there to be stood on to get a better view.
00:40:38.960 --> 00:40:43.760
So it's really important that you you you know just set course and stick to it.
00:40:44.000 --> 00:40:49.199
Okay, so that's the so S for me is S is all about systems.
00:40:49.679 --> 00:40:52.000
For me, I'm not great with computers.
00:40:52.159 --> 00:40:55.840
I I you know, I just I just am not, but I know people that are.
00:40:56.079 --> 00:40:59.920
So automation, outsource the service providers.
00:41:00.000 --> 00:41:06.320
We've got some incredible stuff out there that we can use to help us run our business.
00:41:06.480 --> 00:41:07.519
You know, who not how.
00:41:07.760 --> 00:41:11.440
I used to sit there on my desk going, oh, how am I gonna do this?
00:41:11.679 --> 00:41:17.119
It's not about how are you gonna do it, it's who can do it for me, who can do that task for me.
00:41:17.280 --> 00:41:18.320
So who not how.
00:41:18.480 --> 00:41:22.559
And again, software, you should always be thinking, how can I improve my software?
00:41:22.719 --> 00:41:24.719
How can I improve my systems?
00:41:24.960 --> 00:41:52.880
Because it's really important that if you're dealing with customers, and your tenants are customers, they really are, at that point, that touch point where they they actually discover your brand, discover your business, you need to make sure that you've got it's really slick and it's in it's in it works well and it's attentive, and you know, people can get hold of get hold of you, it communicates well, and you know, and it needs to be an incredible experience.
00:41:52.960 --> 00:41:54.239
And software can give you that.
00:41:54.480 --> 00:41:58.400
You should always be asking yourself, how can I improve my software?
00:41:58.719 --> 00:42:02.000
And then never forget the power of standardization.
00:42:02.079 --> 00:42:07.519
When Mark was talking about setting his ways, Mark, you're a successful person.
00:42:07.920 --> 00:42:14.239
Persistency and consistency, if they cut you in half, that's going through you like Brighton Rock.
00:42:14.559 --> 00:42:19.840
That's the reason that successful people are successful, is because they're standardization.
00:42:20.079 --> 00:42:27.119
They stick to the recipe, they stick to the systems, they stick to the brand.
00:42:27.280 --> 00:42:32.639
You wouldn't go into a McDonald's and expect the burgers to be different or the uniform to be different.
00:42:32.960 --> 00:42:35.519
So standardization is a really, really good thing.
00:42:35.760 --> 00:42:54.960
And if we're gonna be truly successful, I want you to be thinking about this brand, thinking about the brand now, and and how big it's gonna be, you know, what the what the uniforms you're gonna wear, what's your DNA gonna be, what are you gonna offer that's different, you know, what are the colours gonna be, what's your design gonna be?
00:42:55.119 --> 00:43:05.199
And if you can start to feel all of that and go start to get excited about that, then that's part of you creating the imagination process.
00:43:05.599 --> 00:43:09.360
And without going too woo-hoo, it will come to you.
00:43:09.519 --> 00:43:24.960
Life will create those opportunities based on the imagination that you have, especially when you're incorporating the amicula, that part of the brain that that deals with emotions, so I remember things, it's why we remember things because of the emotional attachment to them.
00:43:25.119 --> 00:43:36.559
So, why don't we reverse engineer that and imagine everything that we do as an excited, oh, it's gonna happen for me, then there will then that's more likely to pull that towards us.
00:43:36.639 --> 00:43:42.400
We're transmitting that energy and it will receive back and it will give us those opportunities.
00:43:42.639 --> 00:43:50.880
So, you know, and if you can find something that works, if you truly find something that works, then scale it.
00:43:51.119 --> 00:43:52.559
That's what brands do.
00:43:52.719 --> 00:43:57.280
They just literally just pump it out, duplicate what they're doing.
00:43:57.519 --> 00:43:59.199
You you should share best practice.
00:43:59.280 --> 00:44:06.239
I mean, if you If you know when when I was back in the days when I was working for DPD, we'd have all these, I think it was a hundred depots.
00:44:06.880 --> 00:44:10.079
And we would, you know, you need to share best practice.
00:44:10.159 --> 00:44:13.679
I was very, very lucky and very honored to be a training depot.
00:44:13.760 --> 00:44:16.239
They used to send people to my depot to be trained.
00:44:16.480 --> 00:44:21.519
And sometimes the person opposite would be would have more ideas than I had.
00:44:21.599 --> 00:44:27.760
I remember it was like that feeling that Michael Schumacher's just turned up, and he's sitting opposite you, and you've got to try and teach him to drive.
00:44:27.920 --> 00:44:30.960
There was multimillionaires with successful businesses sitting opposite me.
00:44:31.039 --> 00:44:34.159
And I was actually, if I'm honest, taking notes myself.
00:44:34.400 --> 00:44:36.480
Some of these people were incredible.
00:44:36.639 --> 00:44:43.280
So by sharing best practice, by really leading from the front, that's one of the biggest things I would really recommend that you do.
00:44:43.440 --> 00:44:49.280
If you're really passionate about achieving the impossible, then you need to believe in it.
00:44:49.519 --> 00:44:53.840
And that all comes from this brand, the scalability and using those systems.
00:44:54.239 --> 00:44:58.400
So the the next slide for me is all about environment.
00:44:58.480 --> 00:45:00.079
You know, what is your environment?
00:45:00.239 --> 00:45:12.000
And as you can see here, these fish are thriving because they're in this, you know, tropical environment, they've got everything they need, there's no pollution there, they're absolutely thriving.
00:45:12.239 --> 00:45:21.840
And one of the things that is really important to me is that is that you might not have the luxury of having, you know, working from home or running your own business as yet.
00:45:22.079 --> 00:45:27.920
So really it starts with your your workspace, you know, that nine to five environment.
00:45:28.159 --> 00:45:33.920
It's really, really important that we really want to try to avoid sitting staring at a wall.
00:45:34.079 --> 00:45:43.119
Because by sitting at a wall, what what you're actually doing is you're is you're telling is you're letting off this I'm hitting the wall sort of energy.
00:45:43.280 --> 00:45:47.440
You you have no growth in you, you cannot see a way forward.
00:45:47.760 --> 00:45:53.519
So by putting your desk, your chair against a wall, like I've got here, and I've got a picture of the dolomites for a reason.
00:45:53.679 --> 00:46:05.039
If you could put a chair against a mountain like this, that gives you support, and your view should be, you know, if you can, it's if you can see beautiful countryside.
00:46:05.119 --> 00:46:21.360
That's I mean, I'm I mean I'm asking a lot there, but that would be the perfect back to a mountain, they call it the Turtles Mountain, Turtle Mountain, Tortoise Mountain, and a view of your future ahead of you, you know, that would be ideal, but we are talking about the workspace here.
00:46:21.440 --> 00:46:29.119
So most certainly get your desk away from a wall, get your back to a wall, and face the door, because when opportunities come in, you want to be ready to accept them.
00:46:29.280 --> 00:46:32.159
These are all very, very, very good things that you can do.
00:46:32.559 --> 00:46:38.400
Work culture, we really want to make sure that we're not surrounding ourselves with the wrong sort of people.
00:46:38.559 --> 00:46:42.400
I really want you to avoid negative people.
00:46:42.639 --> 00:46:48.639
Yes, from a spiritual front, we're all equal, we're all brothers and sisters, and yes, we are, we're all connected.
00:46:48.880 --> 00:46:51.760
But you know, the reality is there are some negative people out there.
00:46:51.840 --> 00:46:55.119
So if they're in your workspace, I want you to avoid them if you can.
00:46:55.360 --> 00:46:59.119
I certainly don't want you to get involved in any gossip or anything like that.
00:46:59.360 --> 00:47:18.400
And I want you to look for promotion, look for opportunities for you to better yourself, stretch yourself, achieve more, and remember, you know, if you if if you're gonna become a marathon runner, if I said to you, right, we're all gonna we're all gonna become marathon runners.
00:47:18.480 --> 00:47:22.239
Now, some of you like Mark could run a marathon, he's a fit, he's a fit little boy now.
00:47:22.480 --> 00:47:27.039
But there are some of you out there that are gonna go, I that that's just a bit too far, James.
00:47:27.119 --> 00:47:29.119
I'm not sure I can run a marathon with you.
00:47:29.360 --> 00:47:32.960
But I want you to understand it, it starts with a physical step.
00:47:33.599 --> 00:47:35.920
You know, we can all put one step in front of the other.
00:47:36.079 --> 00:47:38.079
Well, that is the beginning of a marathon.
00:47:38.320 --> 00:47:43.039
So that that's that's all about that mindset about you can achieve more.
00:47:43.280 --> 00:47:58.000
And certainly, if I was sitting next to you or standing next to you at work, and you were looking for that promotion or applying for a job that you don't think you're capable of, I'd be sort of looking at you going, You are capable, you know, you are unlimited potential.
00:47:58.239 --> 00:48:03.039
And when you achieve that promotion, when you got that role, you've been looking about going in, it was right.
00:48:03.440 --> 00:48:06.000
Now I'm in that role, and yes, I wasn't ready.
00:48:06.079 --> 00:48:09.360
I didn't have my ducks in the line, but I've never been a ducks in the line kind of guy.
00:48:09.440 --> 00:48:13.679
I always think that if you are nearly ready, then just crack on.
00:48:13.840 --> 00:48:16.320
I mean, we had an IT department at DPD.
00:48:16.400 --> 00:48:19.360
This is a two billion pound business, I might add.
00:48:19.599 --> 00:48:28.559
We had an IT department that was forever putting stuff out there that didn't wasn't ready, but you have to, you cannot be ready, you just waste too much time trying to be perfect.
00:48:28.639 --> 00:48:34.960
So I always suggest you go after that promotion, stretch yourself, get out there, and really go for it.
00:48:35.119 --> 00:48:40.079
Now, if you are lucky enough to have a home space, I'm really lucky.
00:48:40.159 --> 00:48:45.280
My wife Lida has quite a few friends that are fangshu masters in particular.
00:48:45.519 --> 00:48:51.760
She's a great friend of Marie Diamond, and and and she would she has arranged my office.
00:48:51.840 --> 00:48:56.639
I've got to be honest with you, it was all a little bit, yeah, I'm sure that worked, kind of guy at the time.
00:48:56.800 --> 00:49:01.039
But she has actually arranged all of my office, and it did help.
00:49:01.119 --> 00:49:02.800
I feel like I get more opportunities now.
00:49:02.880 --> 00:49:07.920
I feel like I'm in a better position to do business, so that really, really help, really helped.
00:49:08.000 --> 00:49:14.480
And remember, it's all about the small things adding up to create the big changes.
00:49:14.719 --> 00:49:22.719
So I would definitely be looking at my home space and seeing if we can get a view of the Lake District, which would be absolutely ideal.
00:49:23.039 --> 00:49:33.519
And you know, when we talk about supportive relationships, this is a tricky one because we can all have some really close people to us that aren't doing us any favors.
00:49:34.000 --> 00:49:41.679
You know, they're not got that growth mindset that you have, they don't share that vision that you do.
00:49:41.840 --> 00:49:58.079
And I and I'm not saying you should, you know, ship everybody out of your life that doesn't have that same energy and vision, but I just want you to be aware of it because I always remember when I bought my second depot, because it's really important I get everybody to be on the same page as me.
00:49:58.159 --> 00:49:59.199
That's how I was successful.
00:49:59.360 --> 00:50:02.079
I knew what I wanted and I wanted everybody around me to do that.
00:50:02.320 --> 00:50:10.639
I remember one of the very first days, and I would always have a Monday morning meeting, always tell everybody of the week ahead and what I'm trying to achieve.
00:50:10.800 --> 00:50:18.559
Anyway, so this particular time I just bought the depot and I stood at the top of the stairs, and I just said to everybody, I said, Oh, everybody, everybody, just stop for a minute.
00:50:18.639 --> 00:50:20.159
I just want to introduce myself.
00:50:20.400 --> 00:50:26.400
My name is James White, and I am going to make this depot the best in the network.
00:50:26.559 --> 00:50:31.360
I'm gonna smash all the targets, and we are gonna be the one they all look at.
00:50:31.760 --> 00:50:36.800
And and they all look to me as if to think, as if to say, Are you nuts?
00:50:37.039 --> 00:50:38.880
No, mate, I don't wear uniform.
00:50:39.039 --> 00:50:42.000
I come in when I want, and I'm not interested in any of that.
00:50:42.159 --> 00:50:56.400
So I would say to you all, if you're not ready to jump on this freight train, it's gonna go and achieve great things, then get out now, jump off, and and you know, go go and work for my competitors, you know, is really what I want.
00:50:56.559 --> 00:51:00.639
Well, funny enough, a few of them didn't turn up for work the next day, so that was a bit of a bugger.
00:51:00.800 --> 00:51:05.039
But it's really important that you have the right people around you and you've got that support.
00:51:05.199 --> 00:51:18.559
And I know that some of the successful people that you that are coming on later, they've got that support around them, and it isn't just fluke, it is a recipe for success to really get yourself the people around you and trying to get into a community.
00:51:18.719 --> 00:51:27.760
Come join in today, you get this every day because you want to raise your frequency, you want to be around other people that are vibrating at that new level.
00:51:28.159 --> 00:51:32.239
Your tribe, they are out there waiting to communicate with you.
00:51:32.400 --> 00:51:40.639
There are investors and service providers out there waiting for you to turn up and resonate at that level that they want to work with.
00:51:40.719 --> 00:51:44.719
So it's really important that you raise your energy.
00:51:44.880 --> 00:51:47.119
So E is for environment.
00:51:47.519 --> 00:51:53.280
So the last letter, step seven, it's all about timing, seasonality.
00:51:53.519 --> 00:51:55.840
My goodness me, market phases.
00:51:56.000 --> 00:52:06.480
You know, if you're doing service to accommodation, I can promise you you are going to not want to start in January, it's going to be a bit dead, and February ain't going to be much better either.
00:52:06.559 --> 00:52:09.039
So it's important that we understand seasonality.
00:52:09.119 --> 00:52:13.760
It's the same with HMOs, there's a student market, turnaround that happens.
00:52:14.000 --> 00:52:18.079
So, you know, you need to really, really understand the seasonality.
00:52:18.239 --> 00:52:21.519
And again, I personally would use nature to help me.
00:52:21.679 --> 00:52:22.320
Why not?
00:52:22.480 --> 00:52:23.199
You know me.
00:52:23.360 --> 00:52:24.559
Let's use spring.
00:52:24.719 --> 00:52:38.559
Spring's a great time for you know new ideas, innovation, you know, and that gets you ready for summer when summer is all about foot to the floor, full throttle, implementation, all of those great ideas.
00:52:38.719 --> 00:52:46.480
I want you to imagine your business is a racing car going around a track, whoa, we're going for it sat in setting lack records.
00:52:46.639 --> 00:53:01.280
And then we move into autumn where it's a time for reflection and a time for celebrating your wins with your teams, and then winter's the time for chill, chill with the skill, check your systems, make changes and get ready for this for the spring.
00:53:01.440 --> 00:53:05.440
So it's all about taking action at exactly the right time.
00:53:05.760 --> 00:53:08.400
Synchronicity, what a word.
00:53:08.800 --> 00:53:22.320
Write it down because if you're in tune with nature, are you in tune with your inner self, you're in tune with your energy, you're in tune with your vision, then you are definitely gonna get synchronicity, and there's gonna be some incredible opportunities coming your way.
00:53:22.639 --> 00:53:31.119
So, in summary, top tips for me is that anything James says anything is possible.
00:53:31.360 --> 00:53:33.039
It's called a superposition.
00:53:33.119 --> 00:53:41.280
And I'm just gonna quickly explain to you that in quantum physics, we are all particles, and particles can exist in anything they want to until they're observed.
00:53:41.519 --> 00:53:47.920
So that means that your life could have any outcome that you want, it's just the minute you observe it, it forms.
00:53:48.000 --> 00:53:52.400
So why don't you start thinking like that, billionaire, and help a billion people?
00:53:52.559 --> 00:53:56.000
And secondly, hell yes or hell no.
00:53:56.239 --> 00:53:58.800
None of this wishy-washy, I'm not sure.
00:53:58.960 --> 00:54:04.719
If you ain't clipping your heels from a property deal, you ain't doing that deal.
00:54:04.800 --> 00:54:06.480
So it's hell yes or hell no.
00:54:06.639 --> 00:54:07.760
Do not waste your time.
00:54:08.079 --> 00:54:11.519
Get to the answer no as quickly as you can.
00:54:11.760 --> 00:54:12.079
Okay.
00:54:12.480 --> 00:54:13.679
This is a big one for me.
00:54:13.760 --> 00:54:14.480
Write this down.
00:54:14.559 --> 00:54:26.320
This is a secret I'm gonna give to you because it's all about that driving force that we had earlier, that intention, that staking the ground, that 100% commitment.
00:54:26.480 --> 00:54:34.000
I want you telling everything in the Northeast, we all talk to each other, and I can tell people coming out of a shop that I don't know all about what I'm trying to achieve.
00:54:34.159 --> 00:54:35.679
That is true driving force.
00:54:35.760 --> 00:54:37.119
That is staking the ground.
00:54:37.360 --> 00:54:48.480
I want you to times that by flow when you're discussing something you really love, and all that flow, and we're really talking about stuff that we like, like Johnny and his music, or me and my mindfulness.
00:54:48.559 --> 00:54:54.239
If I can combine driving force, intention with flow, you are guaranteed success.
00:54:54.400 --> 00:54:56.400
You are absolutely guaranteed success.
00:54:56.639 --> 00:54:57.760
I promise it.
00:54:58.079 --> 00:55:04.480
So, those are the seven steps that to give you success for this successful M-I-N-D-S-E-T.
00:55:04.880 --> 00:55:06.719
I think you know what that spells.
00:55:06.960 --> 00:55:11.039
Thank you very much, and have a fantastic rest of your day.
00:55:11.360 --> 00:55:13.599
Amazing! Well done, mate.
00:55:13.679 --> 00:55:14.159
Well done.
00:55:14.320 --> 00:55:19.440
I mean, the energy, the fire was there, literally, literally with the year of the fire horse.
00:55:19.679 --> 00:55:21.679
Absolutely great stuff there, James.
00:55:21.760 --> 00:55:24.239
You know, let's show James some love in the chat.
00:55:24.320 --> 00:55:26.320
If you've enjoyed that, then do let us know.
00:55:26.480 --> 00:55:30.079
Just put enjoyed or any questions that you have as well.
00:55:30.400 --> 00:55:36.960
People really resonating with what you were talking about there, James, particularly with the Fen Chewy and just getting the mindset there.
00:55:37.039 --> 00:55:42.239
And I do believe, you know, what you've gone through there was well, it was so intense at the end of the day.
00:55:42.400 --> 00:55:49.440
So much to take in that everybody here will have obviously access to the recording of this, so you can go back over these.
00:55:49.519 --> 00:55:54.719
But again, I've been making plenty of notes and things, and it's been a great, great presentation, mate.
00:55:54.880 --> 00:55:56.000
Really, really enjoyed that.
00:55:56.079 --> 00:55:58.480
And people showing love in the chat at the moment now.
00:55:58.559 --> 00:56:00.960
So amazing stuff, amazing stuff.
00:56:01.039 --> 00:56:03.360
And of course, you've got to live this, haven't you?
00:56:03.599 --> 00:56:04.800
Yeah, yeah, I do live it.
00:56:04.880 --> 00:56:05.679
I leave and breathe it.
00:56:05.760 --> 00:56:06.719
I leave and breathe it.
00:56:06.800 --> 00:56:11.360
I I I you know, you we are, you know, our potential is limitless.
00:56:11.440 --> 00:56:15.199
Yeah, it's just it's just our imagination that needs to be 10x.
00:56:15.519 --> 00:56:17.599
I mean, we're we we we love Ben Dr.
00:56:17.760 --> 00:56:19.679
Ben Benjamin Hardy, don't we both, Mark?
00:56:19.760 --> 00:56:20.320
We both love him.
00:56:20.400 --> 00:56:22.800
And he said he talked about 10x is easier than 2x.
00:56:22.880 --> 00:56:23.760
He's absolutely right.
00:56:23.920 --> 00:56:29.039
If you're gonna do something, you've just got to 10x it because it's all about what you think you're capable of.
00:56:29.199 --> 00:56:30.800
So thank you so much to everybody.
00:56:30.880 --> 00:56:34.960
I hope that I have given you something to raise your energy by 1%.
00:56:35.440 --> 00:56:36.320
I hope I truly have.
00:56:36.400 --> 00:56:36.800
So thank you.
00:56:36.960 --> 00:56:37.679
You certainly did, mate.
00:56:37.760 --> 00:56:38.320
You certainly did.
00:56:38.400 --> 00:56:40.559
Well done, and that's great, great stuff.
00:56:40.719 --> 00:56:44.239
