00:00:30
Speaker 3: His new podcast. We'll do it live. You can get the TV show, the column. You can get everything at BillOReilly.com. Go to his website, BillOReilly.com. Bill O'Reilly, how are you doing?
00:00:44
Speaker 4: You know, I'm trying to digest the Cato report that says Kathy Ogle is the worst governor in the country.
00:00:52
Speaker 3: It's quite an honor.
00:00:52
Speaker 4: Yeah. I think anybody could top Pritzker in Illinois, but apparently, according to Cato, Ms. Vogel does. But it doesn't mean anything, of course, because the voters are casting their ballots with emotion, not in a rational way. But it is pretty chilling that we're the highest state in the union as far as taxes are concerned. And now, This agency, which is not a conservative, it's a libertarian agency, Cato, says, look, nothing works in New York, and the governor sits there, and things get worse and worse and worse, so she is the worst out of the 50.
00:01:36
Speaker 3: Wow. Yeah, so she's been declared worst governor in America. This will be the least covered story in New York, of course, by the media.
00:01:44
Speaker 4: Right. Although the Blakeman people should run... you know, a spot or two on this. Um, however, I think people's minds are made up at this point, you know, it's a week away and I don't know if there's too many undecided people, uh, floating around in New York right now. Yeah.
00:02:10
Speaker 3: Um, hey, Obama on the campaign trail getting into quite a verbal battle with Donald Trump is Obama effective on the campaign trail.
00:02:20
Speaker 4: African-Americans like him. He can pull boats out in Michigan for Al-Said. The thing about Barack Obama is his evolution. And I've covered you guys in the very beginning when I had that kind of brawl with his body man up in New Hampshire. I don't know if you remember that. But it is in my book, Confronting America. The guy tried to block us from shooting it. Then Senator Obama was up for a rally. This is a big guy, and he kept moving in front of my cameraman. I politely at first told him, you know, stop it, and he wouldn't. So I had to take vigilante action, which I did. And it's a funny story. But Obama back then was not who Obama is now. And that always fascinates me. So Trump and Obama, they don't like each other, but interestingly enough, when they're together in person, they yuck it up. I mean, you remember the few times they were at memorial services and everything? Yeah. They're not brawling or pouting or looking away. But when former President Obama went down to Florida to endorse this Angie Nixon thing, uh... who is a full blown communist that gave me pause you know i'm going to is it just about opportunism for you because you got four lavish homes and and you want to see is at least two of them what are you doing you know but there's never a question to barack obama from the press about his evolution from kind of a left-wing mainstream guy and now he's endorsing communists and Islamists. I'll say he's not a communist. He's an Islamist. Um, and Obama is endorsing both of those people. I kind of surprised me. Yeah.
00:04:27
Speaker 3: Um, when he went after president Trump's decorating, uh, let's be honest. I don't think anybody's going to take a picture of the oval office and say to their decorator, Hey, do this for me. I want this. But, uh, It's his own taste. But when he went after the Cheesecake Factory, did that show how out of touch he is with normal America?
00:04:47
Speaker 4: It's a joke. And I was in the Oval Office myself three weeks ago. It looks great. I'm sorry. And I'm not a gaudy guy. I'm not a gold guy. But it looked great to me. And I was in the Oval Office when Barack Obama was president. It looked good then. But it's spruced up in Trump's style. But that was just a joke, a one-liner. I mean, the luckiest people on earth are the Cheesecake Factory people, right? Now everybody's running in. They should have an Obama and Trump special every day.
00:05:24
Speaker 3: The Cheesecake people. Yeah.
00:05:27
Speaker 4: So I don't take any of that seriously. You'll find this interesting, Simone, because you follow this stuff. Yeah. I told my staff this morning, enough with the social media cranks on both sides. Enough. I don't want to hear about them. I don't care what they say. It doesn't matter to the country. They're just trying to do it to get attention and money, sell ads or whatever, give speeches. I don't want to even hear. I don't want you guys to even present it to me, no matter how bizarre it is. It doesn't matter. It's a con, okay? I know all these people personally, all of them, and I know why they're doing what they're doing, and it doesn't matter. What matters is corruption at the government level, like Alaska. Alaska, when you sneak a name onto a ballot, The same name as a Republican running for the Senate? Who did that? Who snuck the name on there? The guy's an ex-school teacher. He hasn't done one event. His name is Dan Sullivan, and Dan Sullivan is the name of the principal GOP guy on the ballot. Who did it? Well, the media doesn't want to know who did it. They have no interest at all. And the Justice Department is now getting involved to find out how this could possibly happen. That's a good story. That's corruption. And of course, you know, you put on CNN and it's, oh, look at Trump's doing. Yeah, that's Trump's job to root out corruption. Okay, you got it? Oh, that just gets me crazy.
00:07:25
Speaker 3: You used to work at CBS News. Do you ever think you'd live to see the day where they don't investigate major stories?
00:07:32
Speaker 4: Yes. Yes. I have to answer honestly. I have that big story in Confronting America, what has to change, about me and Dan Rather. I saw it up close, eye to eye. I saw the corruption. I knew what Rather was trying to do. And I left. I left the job. I went to Boston. And I just couldn't work there. Now, when I worked at ABC, because I came back to New York at Rune Arledge's request, that was not in play there then. Jennings wouldn't do that, but rather did it from the jump. And so to answer your question, yeah, I saw it. And then it got worse and worse and worse and worse at CBS. Hmm.
00:08:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, Cronkite, he was a left-wing guy, but he tried to keep the slant down to a minimum.
00:08:31
Speaker 4: Yeah, he was a World War II guy. All those guys who trained in World War II in Europe, Murrow and Cronkite, they were all there, and they had rules for the road. That's what we do. They're all liberal guys, all of them. But that's okay. That's all right. As long as you're not trying to impose or twist the news in a certain way to benefit... your own belief system, it's fine. But what Rather did was he wanted to impose his view of the world and the country on every single individual at CBS News. And I'm not standing for it. And I wasn't even, I was a reporter, I was a commentator back then, I was covering the wars. But what they did to me and others was awful, and that's why I have that chapter in Confronting America about it.
00:09:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, so rather, he really was the father of modern-day fake news. He really opened up this can of worms for everybody.
00:09:34
Speaker 4: Well, he's 95 years old now, and he's still pushing the left agenda. Still doing it. And as you may remember, he got booted out of CBS because he dealt with fake documents about Bush the Younger's National Guard service. And I wasn't surprised they caught him because he was so blatant about it. It was so obvious. So anyway, look, we're in a bad place, but the good news is that there are outlets where you can get the truth in the media and in social media. But a lot of people, they just hear this stuff and they believe it. And, oh boy, the affordability thing is the best. The affordability thing. You think the Democratic Party is going to make your life more affordable? Do you really believe that? When for the past 50 years, that party has done nothing but raise taxes. When there was the big tax cutting bill, the big beautiful bill, not one Democrat in Congress voted for it, and you think that these people are going to make your wallet heavier? And when I hear and see that, I just think the person is either brainwashed or stupid. Okay, because we all live in New York now and in Jersey and Connecticut, the highest taxed states in the union. Because they're controlled by Democrats.
00:11:17
Speaker 3: Bill O'Reilly, we're out of time. But if you want to read a fascinating book, get his latest book, Confronting America. There's all sorts of great stories and moments in America. 00:11:53
Speaker 4: Maybe there's another plaque.
00:11:56
Speaker 3: Bill O'Reilly, thanks. Take care. Talk to you soon. Yeah, Kathy Hochul was voted the single worst governor in America, actually by a very good study. Hey, don't forget at noon, it's Buck and Clay with an excellent show. Three o'clock, the most listened to radio show in America. Sean Hannity will be back. He'll be on today at three. Jesse Kelly at six. Jimmy Fallon, funny show every night at nine. I'm here nine to noon, three hours every day, nine to noon. And then, of course, right before me, it's Curtis Lewa and Larry Menti, six to nine, 710WOR.
