MENGENAI EPISOD INI
Mission beats momentum, and John Sanei just got a brutal reminder of why. Fresh off releasing The Adaptability Advantage, he and Erik Kruger unpack the difference between chasing success and being so aligned with your genius that the right doors seem to open on their own.
This conversation starts with a sharp reality check for creators, founders, and anyone building a personal brand: most people hear your content without knowing who you are, what you stand for, or why they should trust you. From there, Erik and John dig into the hidden cost of creating for your existing audience instead of the people who are just discovering you for the first time.John shares the thinking behind his new book, why books may need to become “snacks of one idea,” and why his speaking has now become the main brand while the book becomes the value-add. Erik pushes the conversation further with Seth Godin’s The Dip, the idea of the adjacent possible, and how small steps unlock entirely new futures you could not see before. You’ll discover:
- Why mission-led work creates less drama, friction, and resistance
- How to tell the difference between real purpose and borrowed identity
- Why curiosity matters more than having a perfect five-year plan
- The surprising reason some of the most successful people interact with money, work, and ambition in completely different ways
- Why John believes the future belongs to people who are simply brilliant at being themselves
John also breaks down what he learned at a Dr. Joe Dispenza retreat in San Diego, including a powerful personal reunion, a deep reset around his purpose, and the idea that if you are truly on mission, the universe starts cooperating. He describes Dispenza’s extraordinary speaking ability, the intensity of the five-hour meditations, and the kind of clarity that comes from finally recognizing what you are actually here to do.
Erik and John also zoom out to talk about the future of work, AI, and the growing importance of designing a life around your actual genius instead of someone else’s expectations. If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re on the right path, or if you simply need a better one, this episode will challenge the way you think about purpose, success, and what it means to build a life by design.Essential listening if you’re a creator, founder, speaker, or anyone trying to figure out what your real mission is - and what happens when you finally commit to it.
