Leading Through Connected Leadership Cohorts with Justin Hardman, Howard Stribbell, Tico Oms & Benjamin Sheridan

What changes when leadership development is not separated from the work of leading?

The Applied Leadership Certificate is a year-round online program for international school leaders running from January to December 2027. Its cohort model is designed to create the conditions for leaders to reflect, test ideas, build trust, and make meaning together while navigating the real challenges of their roles.

In this episode of Education Vanguard, Justin Hardman, Howard Stribbell, Tico Oms, and Benjamin Sheridan unpack the thinking behind that model.

They reflect on leadership blind spots, the pressure to solve every problem, the habits that can become limiting as responsibility grows, and the value of having trusted peers who can challenge your thinking.

The conversation also explores why meaningful leadership development may require more than a workshop or short course. Over time, relationships, reflection, practice, and accountability can create space for leaders to learn from what is happening while it is still happening.
