Dawn O’Porter & Gemma Cairney: How to champion your friends

This week on Table for Four, Joanna Page and Mathew Horne are joined by broadcaster, author and campaigner Gemma Cairney and bestselling writer Dawn O’Porter for a joyful celebration of true friendship. Dawn and Gemma’s bond is unmistakable. Over broad bean and feta toasts, Tuscan chicken and a tropical mango roulade, they look back on 16 years of friendship, from meeting in Australia and instantly falling for each other, to wild nights in LA, unforgettable parties, motherhood, career milestones and the friends they’ve loved and lost along the way. They talk movingly about what it means to really champion another woman, to feel safe and nourished in someone’s company, and to have the kind of friendship that carries you through every stage of life. There are tears, huge laughs, a little chaos, and one very memorable taxi story that proves Dawn’s devotion beyond doubt. A heartwarming episode about food, sisterhood, belonging and the people who become family.
