MENGENAI EPISOD INI
In this episode we’ll be looking at the differences between the violin, viola and cello. To keep things simple, I’m leaving double bassists out of this one and will do a double bass special episode later in the series.
If you are yet to decide which stringed family instrument you want to learn, or are considering switching from one to another, this episode is for you. We’ll be going over the main differences that give each instrument a distinctive character.
Like the last episode, I’ve used a selection of public domain recordings, below you’ll find the pieces featured in this episode:
1. Bach’s Violin Partita No.3 in E Major
Performed by Karen Gomyo, violin
2. Clarke’s Viola Sonata
Performed by Antoine Tamestit, viola and Ying-Chien Lin, piano
3. Bach’s Cello Suite No.1 in G Major
Performed by Colin Carr, cello
