Pulled into Alignment – Aries Super Full Moon Vibes (Part 1)

SC - Episode 111-112
[00:00:00] Lauren: Hey everyone. Welcome back to Shattering Ceilings. It's Lauren.
[00:00:03] Megan: And Megan. And I've got to say, guys, I'm really excited for today because we have a guest on that you guys have heard from before. And she's here to talk to us a little bit about what's going on in the world astrologically right now. So put your witch hat on, get ready. We're in spooky season. We've got Ray McDermott with us today.
[00:00:24] Megan: So Ray, welcome back. It's so good to see you.
[00:00:27] Rae: It's good to see you guys. I'm excited to be here again. We had so much fun last time.
[00:00:31] Lauren: We did. You've taught me so much about like, you know, our rising signs, our sun sign, our moon sign. And I've been watching you now for, I don't know how long. I, we, I think we had you on about six months ago, right? Wasn't that about that
[00:00:46] Rae: Yeah, I think it was last spring, actually. Yeah, it was during the eclipse season last spring.
[00:00:50] Megan: Yeah. Wow.
[00:00:51] Lauren: here we are again, right?
[00:00:54] Rae: Here we are. And if you haven't listened to that one, you should go back and listen to it because some of the things we'll talk about today are kind of tied [00:01:00] into what we talked about last time, I think. So
[00:01:02] Lauren: Yeah.
[00:01:03] Megan: means I need to go back and listen. It's been a while.
[00:01:06] Rae: we need a refresher. Maybe we should have done that before.
[00:01:10] Megan: Probably.
[00:01:13] Lauren: So tell us like what's going on. We just had this awesome full moon last night. We had the Aries super moon and it was a hunter's moon. Right. So like tell us all about that and how it's connected to last spring. Right.
[00:01:28] Rae: cycle, the way the lunar cycle kind of works, and I might have touched on this last time, but it's kind of a six month cycle where, like, the new moon in a particular sign is, like, the initiatory new energy and, like, signifies new beginnings. And the full moon signifies culminations and things coming to a head.
[00:01:48] Rae: And a lot of times because we have a new and full moon in each month, A lot of times people think that it's like the new and full moon within the month signifies those things and it [00:02:00] does, but on a broader scale, it's actually connected to the energy within that same sign. So it's like the new moon in Aries, which was this spring.
[00:02:09] Rae: We experienced that as a solar eclipse is now six months later, actually coming kind of to fruition, and we're seeing that energy build. So when we're talking new and full moon energies, you have to think on kind of a broader scale. And it makes sense when you think about it that way, because Like within nature, nothing happens within like a two week period or like even a one month period, like for things to grow and things to take root and whatever, you need time for development.
[00:02:35] Rae: And so, like the new moon solar eclipse, which we experienced back on, April 8th, was the initiation of new energy in our lives related to this like Aries energy. And it was actually a part of a cycle that we've been in for the past like 18 months or so, where we've been working in this eclipse cycle of eclipses going back and forth between the signs of Aries and [00:03:00] Libra. And eclipses are always like a balancing, it's always a call for balance. And we talk about this a lot in the Podcast that we did last spring, but the idea of eclipses is that like things the universe kind of takes over and in eclipses It's like we have the new and initiatory energy But it's a heightened and it's magnified because it's also the energy of an eclipse and the eclipses signify this coming together of Like, past and present and, like, our intent and our instincts and, like, this kind of, like, very intense portal where we're kind of pulled into alignment in ways that we maybe, like, weren't even necessarily, like, ready for in some ways. but it's really a.
[00:03:48] Lauren: We're still in it though. Right. We are technically still in the clip season.
[00:03:52] Rae: Well, the eclipse season this fall began mid September, and then we had another eclipse at the very beginning of October. So we're [00:04:00] technically kind of out of that portal now, and we are in the process of seeing those eclipses kind of shift into new signs in, starting in the beginning of next year. So we're kind of in a transition for what the signs the eclipses are going to be happening in.
[00:04:15] Rae: But. I will say like, same thing as what I just said, where it's like, things don't happen instantaneously, we're obviously still going to be experiencing the effects of what came into our lives or what is being, you know, brought up for us because of the eclipses, that's going to happen over a period of time but we've, this full moon in Aries.
[00:04:34] Rae: Is actually tied back to that spring solar eclipse, and I'm sure everybody probably remembers that eclipse, even if you're not super into astrology, that was a big one, it was like the total
[00:04:44] Lauren: You had the glasses.
[00:04:45] Rae: in the U. S., like it was very, and it was a total eclipse, and that's also important because Like the more direct the eclipses, the more intense that energy is because you have the energy of the sun and the moon coming [00:05:00] together.
[00:05:00] Rae: And so when we have a total eclipse, it's like the total sun and the total moon. It's not a partial. There's not like it's in a complete alignment. So that was also really relevant for this. And the theme of the eclipses in Aries has really been like moving towards authenticity. Thank you.
[00:05:19] Lauren: Mm
[00:05:19] Rae: It's been like moving towards our most bold, authentic selves and letting go of things that stand in the way of that.
[00:05:30] Rae: Specifically when it comes to like relationship dynamics, like co dependencies with other people, people pleasing behaviors, things that cause us to dull our own light
[00:05:42] Lauren: hmm.
[00:05:43] Rae: to kind of keep the peace or keep people around us happier, any of that. And The balance has been, you know, finding ways to, like, be ourselves in the context of relationships.
[00:05:56] Rae: We're not, like, ditching relationships. That's not what it's about. But [00:06:00] it's about, like, how do we show up authentically? How do we How are we true to ourselves in a way that is like real and also like we're not abandoning parts of ourselves because I think that's what happens when we get into these like codependencies and these people pleasing behaviors is like, we're doing it because we're trying to either keep the peace or, you know, not rock the boat or whatever, but it's like, ultimately, we're actually abandoning ourselves and abandoning our own needs in a way.
[00:06:28] Rae: So. The push of the solar eclipse is like in the spring, like new energy, new intention towards that new intention towards shining your light brightly, towards being your boldest self towards really like honoring your own needs, like following the call of your own inner guide your own soul, kind of without caring, like what anybody else around you thinks or says about it.
[00:06:54] Lauren: Yeah. I definitely feel like that has been something that [00:07:00] I've like dove deeper into over the last six months as far as like becoming more like using my voice and not like filtering. I feel like as much. What
[00:07:09] Rae: feel like I've kind of seen that, I feel like I've kind of seen that on your social media, on your social media, I feel like you've like, I feel like you're being very unapologetic, you're like, it seems like you're really just showing up, and you're like, I'm me, and like, if it's for you, it's for you, and if it's not.
[00:07:24] Lauren: Yeah. I feel like I have and it feels good for sure. And I'm, it also still can be scary, but I'm liking it. So how about for you guys? How did it show up for you? How are you feeling it show up for you?
[00:07:37] Megan: You go, Ray.
[00:07:38] Rae: Me first?
[00:07:39] Megan: Yep.
[00:07:40] Rae: Okay. For me, it's been like in a huge way, and I also, my natal moon is in Aries, and I also, yeah, and so I've been, it's kind of felt really like a coming back to self, because your moon is really your most instinctual way of being. And I [00:08:00] think, There's like interesting family dynamics for me as well, but it's like I, I feel like I have really been working on like co dependent behaviors and really like trying to like balance that, the relation, need for relationship with the need for like independence and like asserting myself and it's felt like the more I've like really just let that authenticity lead, it has It's really brought me back to myself.
[00:08:28] Rae: And I think it's because that is with being an Aries moon, that is like my most instinctual way of being. And in so many ways throughout life and whatever, I've pushed a lot of that aside. And I think because I think it can feel like, Oh, I'm being too much or I'm doing the most or like whatever. And especially with that, the Aries energy is cardinal fire.
[00:08:51] Rae: It's the energy of like bold, assertive movement forward. And just like, it is the energy of. Like I don't really give a, you [00:09:00] know, what about what anyone else thinks and I think that it's it is like you said It can be scary to step into that. So it's been a balance of that It's been a balance of like letting myself do that even and when it is scary But the ultimate kind of result for me has been it kind of felt like coming home to myself like in a big way
[00:09:19] Lauren: Yeah. I think it's like, well, I don't know if this has happened to you, Ray, but like that assertive energy has been, you know, you're bossy and it's like a bad thing. , you know what I mean?
[00:09:30] Rae: Yeah,
[00:09:31] Lauren: Or you're now it all, and it's like, oh, but I'm a manifester too, and I think you are as well. So like, that also plays a huge part, you
[00:09:38] Rae: Yeah. Yeah. And I also think there is a specific nuance to that as a woman where like those are qualities that are typically like no one tells them assertive man that he's bossy. Like that doesn't really happen. So it's like specifically being a woman and having that placement or having like that energy.
[00:09:58] Rae: It's [00:10:00] it can be sometimes like put in a certain box. Yeah. not truth, but that's the way society has, like, conditioned us to think about it, and Like you can very much be very in your feminine and also be very assertive and like getting stuff done like those two are not mutually exclusive, but that's just what like society has told us, so.
[00:10:27] Megan: I love that. You know, this is a little side note. I'm going to tell you guys this, but my, so my best friend, Amanda, who's been on here has two young girls and her youngest is like 18 months and an Aries. And it's so funny. We've been talking about it a lot lately. Cause she's like, my house was so quiet and I forgot how quiet it was because she's so just like in your face, that unencumbered, like baby Aries energy, you know, she lets you know what she wants all the time.
[00:10:50] Megan: And it is so cool to see how different. So like, yeah. I guess the reason why I say that is for anybody that has little guys that are in Aries, like, get that energy, watch how they show up in the [00:11:00] world, right, before they have all that conditioning,
[00:11:03] Rae: Yeah.
[00:11:03] Megan: that's, that's the energy we're moving from, for this Aries.
[00:11:07] Rae: Aries is like kind of inner child energy to a certain extent because it's like. It's unencumbered, it's just like, I'm gonna do what I wanna do, like, I'm gonna, I'm gonna do the thing that feels passionate to me, that feels exciting to me, and like, of course with everything there's balance, like, of course with anything, and that's why the eclipse season is so important, like, we're finding the balance between that and also how do I do that in a way that,
[00:11:30] Megan: In an adult body.
[00:11:32] Rae: Yeah, and also in a way that cares about, you know, the people who I care about and like, isn't just being brash and like, like, you know, hurting people along the way, but
[00:11:42] Lauren: but they're the baby. They're the baby of the Zodiac too, right? They're the, aren't they? The first sign
[00:11:48] Rae: They're the, yes, they're the first sign and they're associated with like the self and so a lot of times they're like kind of stereotyped as being like the most selfish and that is kind of true. But it's because it's [00:12:00] like, it's because of that, like, inner fire towards just, like, what feels passionate, what feels important to me, like, what feels good.
[00:12:06] Rae: And so it's like the light and shadow of it. Like, of course, there is, there can be shadow sides to that as well. And it's finding that balance is always important.
[00:12:14] Lauren: Yeah. So that's maybe why, you know, like, cause babies, they will demand what they want and need and that's it.
[00:12:22] Megan: Yeah,
[00:12:23] Rae: Just a total side note, like, If you're into astrology and you haven't charted your kids, like, you should absolutely do that because, of course, there is, like, multiple, there are always so many things at play and it's not just, like, the sun and moon, but for me personally, two suns, charting them has helped me understand them so much better, they're so different, the way that they express themselves, and specifically with kids, you want to look at their moon sign, you want Because their moon sign is the most instinctual way of being, and that's like how we come into this life, what we come into this life already knowing, what we [00:13:00] come into this life, like, already instinctually doing.
[00:13:02] Rae: And for my boys, like, their moon signs are completely different. One's a fire moon, one's an air moon, and like, and I can see those things play out in them so clearly. And, like, especially, like, my one, my youngest son is a Libra moon, and Libra is very focused on, like, balance and fairness, and for him, like, if he feels like something is unfair, it's, like, his world has just completely fallen apart, and so it's, like, these little nuances of understanding, you know, what motivates your kids or, like, how they are instinctually, I think it's really helpful with parenting, so that's just my, like, Two cents on charting your kids.
[00:13:38] Rae: Yeah. Sorry.
[00:13:45] Lauren: Human design. Yeah.
[00:13:46] Megan: yeah, I'm really curious
[00:13:47] Lauren: don't even know their sun their moon and rising signs. I just know their son
[00:13:53] Megan: know what we'll be doing after
[00:13:54] Lauren: them. I know. I exactly. Exactly. Right.
[00:13:59] Megan: know what we're spending our day [00:14:00] doing. So for me with this moon, I think.
[00:14:02] Lauren: Right. Yay. Okay.
[00:14:06] Megan: wall with work, like, I'm not happy. Mine's shown up more relationally, like, how I show up at work. I think I'm good at being assertive in, like, my personal relationships for the most part, but at work, there's, like, this give and take, especially because I'm new in the corporate world, of, like, I need to be perfect and not make any mistakes because I could lose my job, but I need my job because of, you know, bills and shit like that.
[00:14:28] Megan: So, I was, like, really small and stayed in my little box for a long time, and then I've started being way more interactive and boisterous and sharing my opinions at work, which led to, like, growth and work. But really, like, like, fighting for what I think I'm worth, if that makes sense. You know, I was PRN, and then spent a couple months really fighting for, like, contract rates.
[00:14:50] Megan: Because, ooh, bless you! There was no benefit, you know, there are no difference in the two for me as far as benefit [00:15:00] goes. And so that felt really big. Bless you. And then I had a work opportunity come up to like, for a new job. And so that was really hard for me to like, let go of well, I just worked really hard for this, right?
[00:15:11] Megan: So now they've agreed to my terms, I've got to stay with this, but then I got a different opportunity that actually is more in alignment with where I want to go with my life. And so old me would have probably stayed with the contract. Because I felt like loyalty. Yeah. And I'm like, I'm double cap, right?
[00:15:29] Megan: So, I think that grounded like this is safe. It's a cure. I know this environment. I'm loyal to these people. So that, that has been big, big, big growth for me. And I'm like, experiencing it now. Like, it took a long time to get there, but I just, like, I just got the job last week.
[00:15:48] Rae: Interesting, but yeah, that's really cool. I was looking because I know last time I was on here, I looked at your charts, but I don't think I have those saved anymore. So I didn't have, I wanted to look at it and see like where the moon was impacting [00:16:00] you guys, but maybe we can do that after we get off.
[00:16:02] Megan: That would be super cool. Mm-Hmm?
[00:16:04] Rae: but, so it's interesting, yeah, with this full moon in Aries that we just experienced, which was also a supermoon, so it was heightened, even though it wasn't an eclipse, we still had this heightened full moon energy, because the supermoon is when the moon is like closest to the Earth.
[00:16:18] Rae: And it's much larger. And also the pull of the moon gravitationally on the earth during a supermoon is much more like it's observable. The tides are higher. Like, so it is a more potent energy that's affecting us during a supermoon. And this was really the check in point for this energy that entered our life in early April, and it's interesting, Meg, that you're saying, like, you're seeing that, that fully flesh out and play out because it is, like, we are now being called to this, like, This check in this higher sort of like escalation of whatever was new for us back then and it is [00:17:00] always going to be tied, of course, to the energy, which is this, like, bold, independent assertion and with both of these, the both the solar eclipse in the spring and this full moon now, both of these were co present with Chiron and so that's interesting as well, because there's this element with Chiron is the wounded healer.
[00:17:21] Rae: And. It has to do with our deepest wounds and how we heal those wounds in order to, like, heal the world around us by, like, leading by example. And with Chiron being present with the solar eclipse back in the spring, it really was, like, it was signifying that this movement is moving us towards ultimately, like, alignment and healing and healing some of these things that maybe the way we've self abandoned or the way that we haven't shown up for ourselves or shown up in, like, a good example for you, Meg, would be, like, pushing your own real true desires.
[00:17:57] Rae: You know, under the rug for the [00:18:00] sake of trying to, like, stay in something sure or stay in something that feels safer on the known versus the unknown, where you knew, like, inside that isn't what you really wanted, but it's like, you know, what do you do in that situation? And I think it's very much in alignment with the energy that, like, you took the step, you did the thing you took the leap.
[00:18:21] Rae: And the interesting thing about it is. We had that Chiron energy on the front end with the solar eclipse and now with the super full moon, we also have Chiron co present and so that to me is why it's just like showing that it's another level up. It's another step in this same vein. I don't even, I don't look at this full moon as like the ending.
[00:18:45] Rae: It's not, to me, it doesn't feel like a culmination as much as it feels like a next step. Step. It feels like a next level
[00:18:53] Lauren: feels like a beginning for me. Like, let's fucking go. It's go time. And then it's the beginning of like a new [00:19:00] error. That's how it feels for me. You know what I
[00:19:02] Megan: I think it's really interesting that it's happening in an eight year. Like that's something that I keep, you know, it's a year of abundance, and I feel like this whole year has really called us to put in that groundwork so that the abundance can show up. Right. Like now
[00:19:15] Lauren: how I feel
[00:19:16] Megan: of the year.
[00:19:16] Megan: Yeah.
[00:19:17] Lauren: Like, like, I feel like now is the time I got to lay a lot of groundwork
[00:19:21] Megan: You don't see, I feel like we've been doing it all year.
[00:19:25] Lauren: you know, but again, going back to the deeper level, like, I feel like right now there's like a whole new level that I'm being called to of like, You know, I'm a 1 3, so it's like, I'm always learning something, like, it's just like, it never ends.
[00:19:38] Lauren: But I also feel like for me, like, when I think back to April, I think that was my aha moment of like, Oh shit. This is what abundance feels like over the last six months. And Megan knows this, like I have fallen in and out of feeling abundant. And I feel like October has been like a check in for me of like, [00:20:00] no, you are like, you have to remember this.
[00:20:03] Lauren: And like, I've really been more intentional with even just honestly, like practicing abundance, like Affirmations and visualization again, and like the things I'm listening because it's been really hard for me to feel it over the last six months at times. Does that make sense?
[00:20:20] Rae: Yeah, and that's like, and again, it's like that, that following of that and being like, okay, I'm going to put these things into practice that I know are my practice, my abundance practices, like, it's easy to not do that. But I think. Even just something as simple as like, having a practice is in alignment with this because it's like, this is what my intention is, this is what I feel like I'm supposed to be doing, whether or not like it makes sense to anyone around me, whether or not people think that this is real, like, whatever, it's like, this is what you're being called to, and I think even just something as simple as like, staying with your practices can be like, so [00:21:00] powerful and can also be in alignment with what we're talking about here.
[00:21:03] Rae: And the other interesting thing with this full moon. Is that it is squaring both Mars and Pluto and Mars is currently in cancer and Mar and cancer is a sign that is really associated with like the exploration of the emotional realm and is very like in tune emotionally and Mars in cancer is not always like a super comfortable position for Mars because Mars is such an assertive planet, but Mars is also the ruler of Aries.
[00:21:31] Rae: And so having. Mars squaring this full moon is like adding another level of sort of like tension and push and drive towards change or doing something different. Mars is the energy of how we move forward. Mars is the energy of assertion. It is, it's also, because it's the ruler of Aries, like, it has, Like special sort of like, I don't know what it is.
[00:21:59] Rae: It [00:22:00] literally dictates like the energy of areas because it rules that sign and a square is basically a 90 degree angle within the chart and it causes tension in order to like spur on change. And so we have Mars. That's kind of. Like, driving us to have this sort of emotional exploration, have this sort of emotional moment with the cancer energy coming into play.
[00:22:28] Rae: And that's an interesting dynamic because Aries is such an outward energy, where it's like, it's very outward directed, it's very go, it's like a yang energy in, you know, Chinese medicine or whatever, it's very much the energy of movement forward and go, go, go.
[00:22:45] Megan: comes in the spring, which like the motion associated with that in Chinese medicine is literally a punch.
[00:22:51] Rae: Right. It is. Aries, if you had to, if you had to say what kind of motion is Aries, it would be like a punch in the face. So, but it's interesting to have this like [00:23:00] square with Mars and Cancer because that is very much an energy of like, Intuitive movement, like movement based on like what feels right or like what feels good and so it's, I think that's a very interesting energy to also be coming up at this time and I think with Chiron Co Present, it really points to like this kind of inward thing that's going on too.
[00:23:27] Rae: It's not just an outward change. It's almost like we've got this outward movement and this inward transformation that's kind of been happening and I feel like what's kind of happening in this full moon is that we're being called for like those things to, to match up finally. It's like whatever has been happening for us internally, we're now being called for that to be an external Change as well.
[00:23:52] Rae: And also, like, the things we've been doing externally, we're being called to, like, be in alignment with that within our own, like, emotional state [00:24:00] to make sure we're, like, not overextending ourselves to kind of have that balance as well. We also have a square to Pluto, which is we can talk about Pluto also in a minute, but Pluto is finishing up its transit in Capricorn.
[00:24:16] Rae: And Pluto is a planet of death and rebirth. And so to have a square to Pluto as well with this full moon, it really just points to like this being another, like I said, another phase of this rebirth of this. Leveling up. And that's kind of why I was saying I don't ever view anything as truly an ending because like every ending is a beginning, but this specifically, Full Moon doesn't really feel like an ending to me.
[00:24:43] Rae: It feels like you said, like, it feels like an another beginning. It feels like another level. It feels like just kind of we are, we're moving up to the next tier or being called to move to the next tier. And I think, One of the things that's happening right now is, because we have this intense energy of Mars [00:25:00] and intense energy of Pluto, which are both very intense planets that are squaring this full moon, which is co present with Chiron, which is also an intense energy, it's almost like anything that we've been either going Pushing aside or putting aside or not.
[00:25:14] Rae: That's been coming up for over the past few months themes that maybe we knew we were working on, but we haven't directly confronted. Yet, like, a lot of these things are now kind of being pushed up. The service for us to deal with in, like, a real way, or we're seeing them in a new way in a more intensified way right now and I think that.
[00:25:37] Rae: That, again, is just that invitation to level up. It might feel really intense and really hard, but it's like, the way that we do reach the next level is by facing those things, addressing those things, like making those changes that we've been avoiding for however long.
[00:25:55] Lauren: I'm actually excited for it though, because I feel like, I don't know [00:26:00] why, but I feel like for me it's almost like the promise of the next level or the new era or the abundance that's coming like I know that if I do these things. Then I know I'm gonna reap the reward later, but I really have to fucking do it this time You know what I mean?
[00:26:19] Lauren: And stop saying I'm gonna do it and just fucking do it. Basically
[00:26:22] Rae: and I think it's like, I think it's like we are where we are at any given moment, so, like, you couldn't have been here six months ago, so, you know what I mean, like, so, so even the idea that, like, you should have done something before, I think, is something I would challenge, because I feel like, ultimately, it's like, yeah, we know when we're being called to something, but also, like, at a certain point, I think we just get it.
[00:26:52] Rae: To the point where we're like, oh, this is the moment like this is the time and that may be what you're feeling right now and I think that's what like, I know I'm [00:27:00] feeling that in certain ways with this. I know I've talked to a lot of other people who are kind of like on that same page as well. It feels like this is a moment where it's like, Oh, I have to do something like the feeling right now.
[00:27:13] Rae: I think a lot of people are having is like, oh, I have to do something about this right now.
[00:27:17] Lauren: Mm hmm. Mm
[00:27:18] Rae: And so yeah, I would just encourage you if you're listening to this, like, there's not, there's obviously no benefit in like, dwelling on whether or not we should have done it before, like how we should do it or whatever.
[00:27:29] Rae: It's like, we just need to do the thing. And we need to trust like you said, that it. We know, we don't know exactly what's going to happen, but we know that if we do the thing that we're being called to do, that our soul is calling us to do, like, that can only lead us into alignment. And yeah, there might be some things that fall aside.
[00:27:47] Rae: There might be some things we have to let go of. Those are givens when we're talking about, rebirth and change. Like you can't change unless you let go of what you're currently doing. So I think we have to know that, but we also have to know like this is going to just, this is [00:28:00] ultimately going to be for my highest good.
[00:28:01] Rae: So that's really like the, that's the light at the end of the tunnel, I guess.
[00:28:05] Lauren: Yeah. This is probably like an obvious answer, but do you feel like when you are in that, like called to action, like you just know this is the time, like, do you think that it's for a reason? Because like, this is actually the time that when you do this one task and because you didn't, it wasn't supposed to happen six months ago, whatever, that this is what's going to kind of like bring you to that next level or that new era.
[00:28:31] Lauren: Does that make sense? Do you get what I'm
[00:28:33] Rae: Yeah, I think, so my belief, and like this is the belief, my belief, Like, behind, you know, my practice of astrology and everything, but like, I believe that each of us is on, like, a sole journey of development. And so, and I think all of it is much more complex than we can understand. In our human brains and that there's like, there's the map of what is happening in our lives is like vast and complex and we can't, [00:29:00] we can't like fully
[00:29:01] Lauren: I would love to see that math. It's gotta be
[00:29:03] Rae: We'll see it, we'll see it when we get, you know, in the next life or between lives, but we have like this opportunities that are given to us at certain sort of touch points and I don't think there's I don't know that I believe necessarily in, like, right and wrong, like,
[00:29:26] Lauren: not right or wrong, but more, more advantageous, you know what I mean? Like more of an opportunity, more of success when you do it at the right time. Do you know what I'm saying?
[00:29:36] Rae: yeah, and there are crucial moments in our journey, like, that is something that I've witnessed for myself, for other people, like, there are times when we are given An opportunity, and we obviously can choose what to do with it, but if we take the opportunity, there are times where we can literally, like, like your, like, jump timelines, people say [00:30:00] that, or like, whatever, where you can make these very large jumps within a short period of time, like, for me, this happened in a big way, and was connected astrologically to, like, some really intense, like, inner work transits that I was having, where, like, I was, like, Basically, presented with a lot of things from my past that I needed to confront and like heal from and I did.
[00:30:26] Rae: I started doing that work and this was like several years ago, but I started doing that work and. That ultimately is what led me to, like, a deeper study of astrology and, like, starting my platform and, like, all these things. And none of that stuff would have happened if I hadn't taken that opportunity, and it was within, like, you know, kind of a short period of time, overall, that, like, all those things happened for me.
[00:30:49] Rae: And so, I think you're correct. I think there are these times where, like, things get brought up to us, and we can obviously choose what to do with it, but, If we move towards what we feel like we're being called [00:31:00] towards that there are specific moments in time where we can have those big leaps, we can have those like big moments where all of a sudden things start to happen differently for us.
[00:31:11] Lauren: Right, right. Yeah. That's how I feel right now. Like, this is it, this is like the turning point. I feel like it's kind of, it's kind of wild
[00:31:21] Rae: And it may not, and it may not be like, you know, exactly six months from now what you thought it was either, but like, you just know in that moment, sometimes we have those moments where in your soul you just know that something is happening. Has to happen, or something has to change, and I think that is a moment that a lot of people are having right now.
[00:31:45] Lauren: Yeah.
[00:31:46] Megan: So we're not alone, people. We're all in this together. Let's talk some more about Pluto. So you said you were talking about, like, the, how it's death and rebirth. else? [00:32:00] Because I know before we got on here, you're like, oh, we want to talk about Pluto in relation to what's going on right now. But also, is there more going on with Pluto than just this full moon?
[00:32:10] Rae: yeah, so Pluto is obviously squaring the full moon like we just talked about, but Pluto is also finishing up the very, very, very tail end of like a 16 year cycle. So Pluto in 2008. Moved into the sign of Capricorn and transited that sign of and that area of our chart. So if you want to see, like, in your chart where this transit has been happening, you would look for what's the house in your chart where Capricorn is.
[00:32:39] Rae: Pluto is the energy of death and rebirth. It's a slow burn. It's the energy of like, kind of burning down the forest in order to leave fertile ground in its wake. It's also in mythology, Pluto is the lord of the underworld. So a Pluto transit to our chart is literally like the [00:33:00] idea of going to the underworld.
[00:33:03] Rae: To then like be reborn. There is a lot of really intense things that happen during a Pluto transit a lot of the time and specifically if you have natal planets in Capricorn, this probably was very impactful for you in a lot of ways over the past 15 plus years. And
[00:33:24] Lauren: I have Neptune and Mars, and then it's, it says fifth and sixth house, which I don't know how that's
[00:33:30] Megan: Is it on? Does that mean it's cusp?
[00:33:31] Rae: it depends on how you're looking at the chart. So, like, I look at charts in what's called whole sign, which is where there's only 1 sign in each house, but there are a ton of different house systems. I think we may have touched on this very briefly in our last.
[00:33:46] Lauren: I think we did. Yeah. Because we
[00:33:48] Rae: but there's multiple.
[00:33:50] Lauren: Mm-Hmm.
[00:33:50] Rae: Yeah, there's multiple different, like, different ways to look at a chart as far as breaking up the houses, but each house of the chart, just in case anybody's hearing this and has [00:34:00] never really, like, looked at a chart or knows what it is, each house of your chart represents, like, an area of life, and so the area that Pluto has been moving through Has been undergoing a death and rebirth cycle and has been reshaped over the past 15 plus years and Pluto in the very, very beginning of this year shifted into the sign of Aquarius.
[00:34:25] Rae: And actually the majority of 2024 in the sign of Aquarius. I think it was a very tangible energy at the beginning of this year when happened where it felt like things were changing or that there was some kind of a change on the cusp, but we then in September, Pluto moved into a retrograde cycle and dipped back into Capricorn.
[00:34:49] Rae: So we right now with Pluto and Capricorn are like wrapping up a lot of loose ends that have been, you know, Kind of maybe [00:35:00] like and I think again, this is like with this full moon things coming up that maybe we've been pushing aside or whatever. I think the Pluto energy is also a part of that because with retrograde it's always a time of revisiting themes or revisiting, reworking, thinking about things in a different way.
[00:35:16] Rae: And with the retrograde, moving it back into Capricorn, it's really this symbol of, like, there are things that we still need to kind of revisit, we need to wrap up from the period of 2008 to present, before we can really move into the next cycle of Pluto and Aquarius. And Mid October on the 11th, we had, right before this full moon, Pluto stationed direct and which means that it's no longer retrograde.
[00:35:42] Rae: Now it's actually like moving the normal direction within the sign of Capricorn for the very last time. So we had this like direct motion of Pluto, which is like, It's direct motion. It's direct action. It's kind of like the time period where we've had this retrograde energy. We've had this like revisiting [00:36:00] of these themes and now like it's the last push.
[00:36:02] Rae: It's the last movement through Capricorn before it moves into Aquarius for good next month. And so it's also like a very intense moment because since Pluto is such a slow mover. It's been sitting at the very, very final degree of Capricorn for pretty much this whole retrograde. And also now that it's direct, it's still just sitting at that final degree until it like slowly finally moves into Aquarius next month.
[00:36:32] Rae: And the final degree of any sign, the 29th degree, is called the Anoretic Degree. And it is, it's a very intense, Point because it's basically it signifies the culmination of all of the energy of that sign and it signifies the culmination of all of the lessons that sign encompasses it's like the complete like coming together of everything [00:37:00] within this past cycle and so I think There is this very intense energy not just around the full moon, but just in general right now with this final Pluto transit and we're I think the invitation is really like moving on and wrapping up and if you think back to Like, especially if you're looking at the chart, if you're seeing, like, what area of life this is happening in, you think back to 2008, like, there may even be things that are coming up now that are, like, echoes of things that were happening then, or that tie back to themes from then.
[00:37:36] Rae: For me, personally, in my life, this is happening in a big way, and I know that for some people that I've talked to, like, it definitely is heightened, especially, like you said, if you have planet placements or multiple placements, That Pluto has transited because Pluto transiting your natal placements is a once in a lifetime experience.
[00:37:54] Rae: Like, for instance, Pluto will never transit your natal Mars again in this lifetime for you. That was [00:38:00] a one time thing that happened for you during this transit through Capricorn. Pluto doesn't even move.
[00:38:06] Lauren: Sorry, so I'm looking at Capricorn and what's in Capricorn, those planets. That's where like Pluto is hitting right and the houses to like,
[00:38:15] Rae: it has
[00:38:15] Lauren: too.
[00:38:16] Rae: Yeah, it has hit. It's not currently hitting unless you have planets at the very, very end of Capricorn. But over the course of this transit since 2008, Pluto has directly transited any of your planets that are in Capricorn. And honestly, you can even get as like serious as like looking at the exact date that Pluto was transiting, you know, those specific planets, which of course happened over, You know, the last 16 years.
[00:38:41] Rae: So it's a long period of time. And that's why I'm saying it's a slow burn. But it is the type of thing where It is usually a very tangible, like, rebirth of some kind, and Pluto doesn't even transit our entire birth chart in a lifetime. It's so slow moving, it takes, you know, like, [00:39:00] it takes 15 to 20 years or so for it to move through one sign.
[00:39:03] Rae: So, I believe that, like, looking at Pluto Transit and looking at what's happening with Pluto is a really good Way to tap into our soul journey, because there's a reason why we're experiencing this particular transit at this time during this lifetime, because we very easily could not have because it doesn't again, like, it's not something it's a once in a lifetime transit.
[00:39:26] Rae: So, for Pluto moving Pluto in general, the themes of Pluto in Capricorn Capricorn has to do with, like, structure and systems and. Like the way that we accomplish things in the physical world and obviously for our personal charts, it's going to be nuanced and influenced by the house, but it's going to be interesting on kind of a societal level as well once we see this full shift, because the themes of Aquarius are very different than the themes of Capricorn and Aquarius is much more concerned with like [00:40:00] the collective and Hey, look.
[00:40:02] Rae: And how we, like, the values, yeah, the people, the values of, like, society. So there's, I think there
[00:40:08] Lauren: interesting is that? That it moves into Aquarius next month and it's an election year. I mean, 2008 was an election year too, and a big one at that. That was like Obama. Right. Right. Okay.
[00:40:19] Rae: Well, and the other interesting thing that happened in 2008 is the financial crisis, and that is very much associated, like, finances
[00:40:27] Lauren: A structure. Right.
[00:40:29] Rae: finances and security are very much associated with Capricorn, Capricorn is very, very much concerned with those things, so if you, like, think about it on those terms, like, Pluto moved into Capricorn, and all of a sudden, like,
[00:40:40] Lauren: All this shit happened.
[00:40:41] Rae: everything's just hitting the fan.
[00:40:43] Rae: So it's going to be very interesting to see what happens. I think on a collective level with Pluto moving into Aquarius as well. Yeah.
[00:40:52] Lauren: So, of course, my mate, I'm going to be going down a rabbit hole today now. So thank you for that, Ray.
[00:40:57] Megan: know. My brain is going wild. You
[00:40:59] Lauren: it's [00:41:00] going wild right now. Like now I'm
[00:41:02] Megan: can we just take a pause for a second? Cause I'm a Capricorn Sun and Moon. Sally and Cap. I have six planets.
[00:41:10] Rae: I remember
[00:41:10] Lauren: know about systems and structure, you talked actionable steps. I think I hear that phrase. I can't fucking tell you how much in a week, right? Probably never as much in my life until I met Megan.
[00:41:22] Megan: I
[00:41:22] Rae: needs a Megan in their life though.
[00:41:24] Lauren: Everyone does. Everyone does.
[00:41:26] Rae: I need a Megan.
[00:41:27] Lauren: She's like,
[00:41:28] Megan: I'm here!
[00:41:29] Lauren: we're, we need you to come back down here, right?
[00:41:32] Rae: if you're a manifester, you need a Megan in your
[00:41:35] Lauren: And an air sign, like, oh my God, right?
[00:41:39] Megan: I know. So, is, according to the whole life system, all of mine are in the first house.
[00:41:45] Lauren: Wow.
[00:41:46] Megan: whatever the co star one is, they're all second house, but Pluto is in Scorpio in the twelfth house for me, and I'm really curious.
[00:41:51] Lauren: Mine is in Scorpio. Mine is in the fourth house, but Pluto's in Scorpio for me too.
[00:41:57] Megan: Interesting.
[00:41:58] Rae: so all of us have Pluto and [00:42:00] Scorpio because Pluto is a generational planet, and because it takes so long for it to move, yeah, because it takes so long for it to move in general, like, if you have people who are in your same generation, most of the time they will have Pluto in the same sign. And but Pluto in Scorpio is an interesting dynamic for the generation that has that because Pluto is the modern ruler of the sign of Scorpio and the sign of Scorpio is also associated with death and rebirth and with like the underworld and kind of like the unseen realm.
[00:42:32] Rae: So I do think like that's an interesting placement and I do think there's also kind of this interesting dynamic where it feels like our generation Is more concerned with, like, what's going on underneath the surface. Then maybe like our parents generation was, and that
[00:42:51] Lauren: that why we're all like rabbit hole, possibly a conspiracy theory, like, you know what I mean? We're digging like, Oh, it could be this.[00:43:00]
[00:43:00] Rae: Like, I think it's, that the essence of Pluto and Scorpio is like, Always going to the depth, like literally you're being reborn and you're not scared of exploring the depths and like pulling back the curtain and like what's behind everything. What's the motivating factor?
[00:43:16] Rae: I think that's why a lot of people, you know, of our age group are like, trying to go to therapy and trying to like work on like themselves and figure out what's motivating them. Like, I think that Pluto in Scorpio generational placement is actually very observable within our generation in certain ways that I think if you contrast it with previous generations, I think it becomes kind of obvious that that has certain connotations.
[00:43:40] Lauren: So then what do you think that, Oh, I don't know if maybe that might be a little bit different, but like, what do you think, like our parents and grandparents, like where did they fall with like the Pluto placement? Do you know?
[00:43:51] Rae: It depends on their age, really, because, like, it is, it can vary if based on retrogrades and things like that, how [00:44:00] long Pluto stays in a sign. I don't actually have it offhand what the time frame was for Pluto in
[00:44:06] Lauren: know what I mean?
[00:44:06] Rae: Yeah, I don't have it in, in, like, the time frame of when Pluto entered and exited Scorpio, I don't have that necessarily, but I do know, like, pretty much everybody in our age range, anybody who's, like, in their 30s right now, pretty much probably has Pluto and Scorpio.
[00:44:21] Rae: But yeah, it is. It's interesting. And I think you can see that play out. And when you when we're talking about Pluto, like right now, of course, want something I just want to say, in case people are brand new to this, like, you have planets in your chart that are in a certain sign. But then in real time, the planets from our vantage point are moving.
[00:44:39] Rae: And so like, they're in a different sign right now in real time than they were in our chart. So like, we're talking about Pluto being in Scorpio, that is like, At the time of my birth, Megan's birth, Lauren's birth, Pluto was in the sign of Scorpio. That's different than where Pluto currently is, because currently Pluto is in the sign of Capricorn.
[00:44:59] Rae: [00:45:00] But we can see that, like, how slowly it moves, because literally, you know, in our entire life, it's only moved through two signs.
[00:45:07] Megan: Mm
[00:45:08] Rae: It's only moved through Sagittarius and Capricorn. So it's taken that long for that to happen.
[00:45:14] Megan: to bring that into the physical, something that, that I fucking love to do, this is something we do with our kids, is we have this app called Skyview Light, and you can actually take it and look where the planets are in relation to the stars, and so that's what is meant by this, right? Like, Pluto is in, like, the in the same area as the constellation
[00:45:34] Rae: Right.
[00:45:35] Megan: Scorpio in the sky,
[00:45:36] Rae: Yeah, my kids love that too. There's a couple different apps that you can use for that. I use one called Stellarium, and you can see, like, where the constellations are. And I will say, like, The Zodiac or whatever is only like a very, very small number of the actual constellations that are out there and like our ancestors or whatever would have known like all of them and would have like paid attention to, you know, all of the stars and like everything and that [00:46:00] kind of ties back to what you were saying about the hunters moon, because each full moon also historically was like labeled as a different thing based on the seasonality and how you know what, the seasonality of where we were in the year and things like that.
[00:46:15] Rae: So I think it's cool because it does kind of tie us back to our roots in some ways to be like, you know, paying attention to this and looking at, you know, what's happening in the cosmos. And like the hunter's moon, the full moon in Aries is associated with hunting and gathering for the winter season.
[00:46:32] Rae: Like it's, yeah, it's the time where you would be prepping for Then the next season and it's interesting in the terms of what we've been talking about that this is that is the historical timeline of this full moon because the winter season. Is a time of death and rebirth, like it's a time where things die and they go underground and we don't see progress for a period of time and then things are reborn in the spring, obviously we're talking about like Northern Hemisphere, like [00:47:00] traditional astrology, but I feel like it's interesting to think about this being kind of the final full moon of prepping for that season of death and rebirth of prepping for Like, knowing that things are going to change, things are going to die, and what do we need to do to, like, do our part?
[00:47:21] Rae: To do what we need to do in order to set ourselves up for success in that process.
[00:47:29] Lauren: So cool.
[00:47:30] Megan: Yeah, I know. No, my brain is.
[00:47:32] Lauren: all right. I don't know if you're going to answer this, Ray, but like, okay, with now Pluto going into Aquarius and it being next month, do you have any predictions? Do you have anything that, I know, I know, I know it's like a question that's like, Oh, I don't know.
[00:47:47] Rae: so what I will say is, one of the interesting things That happened like this is a this is kind of a looking at the past to look at the future One of the interesting phenomenon that happened when Pluto moved [00:48:00] into Aquarius this past spring We had this period of time where people were sort of boycotting celebrities I don't know if you remember that but people were sort of like taking a stand against certain celebrities based on like whether or not they were like supporting human rights and like if they were Like actually being good people and like trying to shift society in a way where they were like, there was this sort of backlash on social media, people were saying like, you know, unfollow certain people so that they can't make ad revenue because they're like, you know, they're not like actually people that we want to like align with.
[00:48:37] Rae: And it's interesting that sort of humanitarian themes coming up initially within that beginning of that transit. And I think we're going to see. A lot more within that. I think we're going to see a huge shift. The other thing is, Pluto, because it takes such a long time to transit the Zodiac, Pluto in Aquarius is [00:49:00] like, that is a brand new energy, and that is not an energy any of us have, like, experienced in our lives, and it's, yeah it's something that is going to be really, like, Oh, sorry.
[00:49:13] Rae: It's something that is going to be really tangible because it's something that we have not experienced and we have no real reference frame for other than what happened earlier this year. So I think it's going to be, there's going to be a huge emphasis on, like, The collective, I think there's going to be looking at history, Pluto and Aquarius aligned with both the American Revolution and the French Revolution in the past.
[00:49:43] Rae: So, yeah, those, so the idea of people overthrowing systems in favor of human rights. Now, I think personally, Those two things are really, really great example of [00:50:00] how an energy can have both light and shadow qualities and how an energy can be harnessed in different directions depending on how it's tapped into, because obviously, like, in one case, everybody was getting beheaded, just like, and that was clearly, like, that was a response to the idea of, like, overthrowing systems in favor of the people.
[00:50:22] Rae: And then, like, in the other hand, we had, like, the American Revolution kind of being a more, like, intellectual type of approach to, like, the idea of severing ties and, you know, having, like, people coming together and conversations and ideas and all of that. So I think there's kind of good examples from history as far as, like, The what may be to expect and the other interesting thing is that was actually the last time Pluto was in Aquarius was that time frame where we had the American Revolution and the French Revolution and also like just big changes in the world as a whole [00:51:00] like changes to like monarchy versus democracy like that was an enormous change for the entire world and the population changes that obviously have echoed through the last 200 some years.
[00:51:13] Rae: So I think. There's definitely going to be themes related to that. There's definitely going to be themes related to, like, but is this good for the people? And I think you're seeing that even, like, politically. You're, like, you're seeing people even on, like, no matter what your political beliefs are, it feels like we're in this moment where, like, everybody's, like, dissatisfied.
[00:51:30] Rae: Like, everybody, no matter who you are, where you are, Everybody is like, this shit ain't it, so what's the deal? And I'm not saying, I'm not saying I'm expecting us to like, overthrow the government, necessarily, but I'm saying, I think we are going to, as a collective, there's gonna be a reworking of certain systems, or there's gonna be an abandoning of certain systems that are ideal for things that are more in alignment with what society and like, the collective needs as a whole.
[00:51:59] Lauren: [00:52:00] Now, not to bring in like pop culture, because honestly, I don't watch the news. I don't, I only hear, you know, people talking and see on social media and shit like that. But like, even like the whole Diddy thing, you know what I mean? And like the
[00:52:12] Rae: Yeah.
[00:52:13] Lauren: you know what I mean? Like I've heard people talking about like, Hollywood's going to crumble, like the entertainment, like that's a system that obviously, again, depending on how deep you want to pull back the, you know, go underneath the surface and pull back the curtain.
[00:52:25] Lauren: But like, you know, they talk about, you know, Politics and Hollywood being in bed together, that kind of thing. And
[00:52:32] Megan: And I, I feel like we're seeing a lot to speak back to those, you know, unfollow this person. Don't do this. I am seeing so much of like, remember that like, we are not politicians, right? They live on the level of celebrity at this point and attaching yourself to someone's public image is very different.
[00:52:48] Megan: Like you're aligning with the wholeness of them, right? And their actual decisions behind that public image. And just a reminder to people to like make decisions for yourself. Research for yourself. Have conversations with people in your life that would be directly [00:53:00] affected
[00:53:01] Rae: The other thing. Yeah, I agree with you. I agree with that. And I also think the other thing I'm seeing and that I love because I think this really is the answer for a lot of things is I'm seeing people become very disillusioned with the system, the government, whatever as a whole, but then turning to their community, turning to their immediate community.
[00:53:22] Rae: And that is truly like, to me, that is Pluto in Aquarius, like the high vibe side of Pluto in Aquarius is like, if we can tap into our neighbors, if we can like, Start buying food from your local farmers market or like start, you know, like connecting with your neighbors and the people near you and like, how can you build that community?
[00:53:40] Rae: How can you support each other in a way that's real and tangible and is good for the collective? Like you're, it's good for society. And I think being detached. And the whole, like, idea of everything being super centralized has only hurt us, like, we've lost our village, we've lost, like, the, we've lost the support that human [00:54:00] beings have evolved to thrive within, so I think that my, like, I love seeing that trend, and I think, like, that Pluto moving into Aquarius, like, can probably propel that even more of people really, like, Hopefully, that disillusionment will turn people towards their immediate communities.
[00:54:20] Lauren: Yeah. Yeah. I agree. I think I've seen that too. Like, you know, again, whatever political party you believe in, it's like people are starting to see, like, it's the less of two evils at this point. You know what I mean? Like they're both in the same system. You know what I mean? Like,
[00:54:33] Rae: Yep.
[00:54:34] Lauren: so it's still a system, you
[00:54:37] Rae: And it's like, ultimately, we can only do what we can do, but what we know we can do is we can have community with our neighbors, we can support the people who are in our direct vicinity. Like, we can build our own systems to rely on each other in a way that doesn't need all of that necessarily.
[00:54:59] Megan: [00:55:00] right?
[00:55:00] Rae: So.
[00:55:01] Megan: And we won't be as heavily affected by the decisions, like, because reality is, like you said, we're not going to necessarily overturn the government or the systems, the education system, all these, you know, health care, whatever, but our reliance on them can change, which lessens the power that they have. And that's how we start to see that shift. Like, I feel like life just exists on this pendulum. Right. And like, I feel like it. Our systems have swung very far in the direction of, like, a disconnection of power.
[00:55:31] Rae: Absolutely.
[00:55:32] Megan: gotta hit its peak at some point and start to come back in the other direction, so hopefully this will be part of that.
[00:55:37] Lauren: Yeah.
[00:55:37] Rae: Well, and ultimately also, and ultimately I think we are responsible for that. Like we as a collective, we bought into the idea that like, we needed this, like we needed, and again, it's like that Pluto and Capricorn energy. It's that like, that we needed, like, Big Daddy Uncle Sam or whatever to like take care of us.
[00:55:58] Rae: And it's like, I think that the pendulum [00:56:00] is swinging back where people are like, No wait, like I'm responsible for me. I'm responsible for my family. I get to make my own decisions. And ultimately that is the Pluto in Aquarius vibe. It's like, do what's good for you, what's good for the collective, what's like, for the community.
[00:56:14] Rae: You know, what's the new idea? Like, that's a big Aquarius theme. Like, what's the new idea that we can implement? And so I think that it's kind of exciting to think about it in that sense of, like, what are we going to see over the next few years? And Pluto's going to stay in Aquarius until, like, 2048. So it's a long transit.
[00:56:32] Rae: And we're going to, you know, Yeah, so we're going to have a long time to kind of work within this energy and just see it flush out. So,
[00:56:40] Megan: Man, we're gonna be grannies.
[00:56:42] Lauren: years? A season for
[00:56:44] Rae: yeah, it's a long transit. Yeah, or 2043. I think actually, I think it's 2043. But yeah, it's a longer transit actually than the Capricorn transit. And again, it does vary just depending on retrograde cycles and things like that. It's not a totally regular.
[00:56:59] Lauren: [00:57:00] Oh my God. I don't want to hear it. not ready for that. So
[00:57:07] Megan: I'll be, like, 50, and in, in human design, you know, I'm a 3'6 And
[00:57:12] Lauren: you'll be old as shit in human design,
[00:57:14] Megan: Or no, I'm not a three six. I'm a four six. Well, no, I'm thinking of like those 30 year cycles, right? There's the experimentation and then there's the honing of the skill and then there's the really stepping into purpose when you hit like that 50s area.
[00:57:27] Megan: And I think it's interesting that the last transit happened what, like, I mean, if it happened in 2008, I turned 18 in December 28 of 2007. So. For me, you know, I'm thinking selfishly at this moment, but like, how these transits are lining up, I'm like, interesting. Fucking interesting.
[00:57:48] Rae: all of this is just making me wanna.
[00:57:51] Megan: Oh, yeah.
[00:57:52] Lauren: Mm
[00:57:52] Rae: I was like halfway through college in 2008 And that was interesting because it was like I felt the Pluto and Capricorn shift in a [00:58:00] big way like where the financial crisis hit and everything all of a sudden changed because I was like I Entered college and everything was like everything's great.
[00:58:07] Rae: And then I was like halfway through it was like nobody could get job Yeah,
[00:58:15] Lauren: to get a job. Yeah. And I did. I graduated. I got a job. But yeah, I remember like the election that year was huge. You know, the, obviously the recession hit.
[00:58:26] Megan: Mm
[00:58:26] Rae: yeah,
[00:58:26] Lauren: Like, it is crazy.
[00:58:28] Rae: yeah crazy crazy
[00:58:29] Megan: of everything is so interesting. And it makes it like the death, right? It, Pluto it, I don't, I don't know. Yep. Okay. So let's stay focused, Megan. I'm sorry. I've got to reel it in. So is there anything else that you think is important for us to know or consider in this time?
[00:58:46] Rae: I mean, I talk about, like, current events on my Instagram, on my page, and so if you are interested in that, you can follow me there. I'm at earthmaidenastro on Instagram. I'm really only on Instagram. I'm not on TikTok, so [00:59:00] don't look for me there. But, But like the, the like current events in astrology, they're, they're always changing as far as like, you know, the to the minute type stuff.
[00:59:11] Rae: But I do have a forecast that I put out at the beginning of every month that is specific to what's happening that month. And that's always like a really good thing to look at because it kind of outlines all of the major planetary movements within the month upcoming and what's happening and kind of just like a little overview of like what to expect for each one.
[00:59:34] Rae: And I also, like, I try to give additional information on that as well that can help you if you're trying to learn astrology. So I think of my page as kind of like a teaching platform and that I try to approach it like I'm, like, almost kind of in like more of a instructional type setting. And so I try to include, like, for instance, like the planetary glyphs of, like, what you [01:00:00] would see if you're looking at the actual chart.
[01:00:03] Rae: In my forecast. And so in case you want to look at the forecast and then look at your chart, you would know, like, what am I, what signs am I looking for? Because it is very overwhelming. When you first look at a birth chart, you've never looked at it before. Got all these crazy, like, things going on, all these crazy, like,
[01:00:18] Lauren: And you don't know what they all mean. That's the thing, right? Like you see all these numbers, you see these planets and you have no idea like what they symbolize. You know,
[01:00:25] Rae: right. So we
[01:00:26] Lauren: science is kind of like, what? You know, and that's it, you know?
[01:00:29] Rae: right. And the sun is like the one that the sun and the moon are probably the two that are easy to figure out if you're looking at it, but all the rest of them are like, what am I even
[01:00:36] Megan: Yeah. What does the symbol mean?
[01:00:37] Rae: yeah, what does this mean? So I tried to, I tried to break it down like that. On my forecast like through the end of this month, we have like some kind of just normal planetary movements like Venus is moving into Sagittarius and the sun is moving into Scorpio, all of these things, like when we're talking about the sun, and we're talking about like Mercury and Venus, like the fast moving planets that move [01:01:00] quickly, the closer a planet is And it is to the sun, the more quickly it moves from our vantage point.
[01:01:04] Rae: This is not, it is an energy that, like, impacts us, but it's not an energy that is necessarily always as, like, intense and tangible as, like, these outer planet transits, like I was talking about, because it happens regularly. Like, Venus moves into Sagittarius every year, so we experience that every year.
[01:01:22] Rae: There is a, there is, like, a And energy associated with that, that actually happened as well yesterday and in conjunction with the full moon, but so the energy of that happening is like Venus has to do with how we pursue pleasure, our, you know, relationships, things like that. And Sagittarius is all about kind of like big picture experiences and new experiences.
[01:01:44] Rae: And so we may be feeling like more drawn towards that at this time more drawn towards like, you know, wanting to have like more of kind of a novel. Yeah. Experience more. Maybe we're like wanting to try something new or like pursuing new hobbies or things like [01:02:00] that. And then the sun enters Scorpio on the 22nd.
[01:02:04] Rae: And Scorpio, again, we just talked about is the sign of death and rebirth. And so I feel like whenever the, whenever Scorpio season kind of hits, like, I think you start to see that in a big tangible way. Like you see Of course, like, you know, the leaves are falling and, like, things are starting to kind of, like, slow down.
[01:02:22] Rae: You have, like, all of the, like, Halloween and you have, like, Dia de los Muertos and, like, all these holidays that are, like, centered around kind of, like, the afterlife, which is, again, like, very much in alignment with Scorpio themes. So that's very interesting as well. But as far as like the month to month, I would definitely say, like, if you're interested, follow me and just look for those forecasts and typically what I do is I'll put out the forecast at the beginning of the month and then as the month goes along, I will talk about each one of the things that's on the forecast and we will discuss that, whether it's like, you know, videos or whether it's [01:03:00] like I do a lot of stories as well but that's always kind of the best way to keep up with, like, the current news.
[01:03:05] Rae: events, I would say.
[01:03:06] Megan: Okay.
[01:03:07] Lauren: do you use like the forecast as a way to prepare yourself for what's coming? Or do you still try to keep like open and just in the back of your head like, Hey, these themes may come up for me, or whatever. Do you know what I mean?
[01:03:22] Rae: I, I do both, but I would say something that I always caution people against is like, we are players and we have our own free agency, but our goal is not to control. Like, our goal is to experience and observe and adjust.
[01:03:51] Lauren: Okay.
[01:03:51] Rae: that's truly, I think, what our goal is. And so, I don't look at, I don't look at astrology, I don't practice predictive [01:04:00] astrology at all.
[01:04:00] Rae: Like, I don't, I won't. Work with somebody to try to figure out when they're going to have a baby or like any of like I there are certain transits that are, you know, can be more aligned with that or whatever, but I feel like we have so much free will and agency that like. It's about what we do with the opportunities that are presenting themselves to us.
[01:04:22] Rae: So I think, like, the forecast is helpful as a general overview of, like, what kind of energy is going to, you know, possibly present itself to us. But I think when we start trying to live too much in the future versus in the present, we get ourselves in trouble. So I think we have to be, we have to live in the moment.
[01:04:39] Rae: We have to experience what we're experiencing and be, you know, In this current moment and that's what we really need to be focusing on so I don't, I don't intend for the forecast to be like a way for people to like, like war game the future and plan out what you know, how can I maybe like, do this thing at the end of the month based on what's here like [01:05:00] I, I don't, I kind of caution people against that like I think it's okay to look at it in general it's okay to be like okay this might be this is the energy that might present itself at this time or like I might be feeling this around this time.
[01:05:12] Rae: But I really caution people against trying to get into that, like, that mindset of control is really not where we want to be. So, if you're, if you're, if you're acting out of control or if you're acting out of fear, Like, that's not it. We want to be observing, we want to be adjusting, we want to be flowing through the experience.
[01:05:33] Rae: And it's nuanced. It's hard. That's a, that's a very nuanced place to be. So I think it can be, that can be sometimes challenging, but I, I think when we're moving in fear and we're trying to control the outcome, that's where we kind of lose sight.
[01:05:52] Megan: Yeah. Absolutely. Because then you miss, like, I mean, just like we talk about with everything else energetically, if you're death gripped on something, right, [01:06:00] like this is the way it's going to be, this is how I can control this situation, there's actually not space for whatever could come in to actually be received.
[01:06:06] Rae: Exactly. Exactly.
[01:06:09] Megan: I love that. I just love how every, no matter what modality somebody is from, it all comes down to that same, like, being open and available to receive, using things as guidance, right, but not like the holy grail, and, and letting yourself, I love that, experience, observe, adjust, like, experience.
[01:06:26] Lauren: down.
[01:06:28] Megan: In the present moment, what is going on for you, go back and observe, right, which falls back into like yoga principles, Buddhism, all sorts of things, like, observe your surroundings, what you're experiencing, and then adjust accordingly based on where you're trying to go.
[01:06:42] Lauren: Yeah.
[01:06:43] Rae: Yeah, totally.
[01:06:44] Lauren: piece.
[01:06:46] Megan: Yeah, I really
[01:06:47] Lauren: All right. Ray. Well, it's been what, six months or so, I think since we asked you this question and it's probably different now. So you know, the name of our, of our podcast is shattering ceilings. What ceilings [01:07:00] now, six months later, are you currently shattering?
[01:07:03] Rae: So I've been working a lot. On the idea of, like, scarcity and, like, lack of mindset over the past six months, that's been, like, my big, big thing that I've been trying to just release. And I think all of us deal with this to a certain extent, one way or another. I just know for me personally, it's been coming up in a big way.
[01:07:29] Rae: And I'm in a, like, kind of a bit of a life transition at the moment, and I'm kind of like, I'm leaning into a lot of things that I think I would have found to be very scary in the past. I recently, over the past couple months, I bought a camper, and so I'm a single mom, and so I'm, like, learning that with my, like, Taking my kids and we're going camping and we're like, I also homeschool my son.
[01:07:54] Rae: So we've been doing a lot of like camper life, like school on the road and just kind of like, like [01:08:00] doing, and it's like, that's kind of like how we're living right now. And it's like, I think in the past that would have scared me because it's like, you know, it's not stable or like it doesn't have, you know what I mean?
[01:08:11] Rae: It's like, it's not like the traditional, the way things are like, quote, supposed to look, but. I don't know. It's like I'm finding so much freedom in that and I think it's like tied in with this whole like authenticity journey of like, I'm finding freedom. I'm like having these adventures, which is like totally feeding my like Aries moon side.
[01:08:32] Rae: And it's like being able to let go of that sort of like how things need to look or the idea of like, not having enough or not having like, Stability or whatever it is has allowed me to have like a lot of really beautiful experiences And I'm just hoping that kind of like continues. So, yeah, I guess that would be my answer
[01:08:51] Megan: Yeah, that's amazing.
[01:08:53] Lauren: Mm hmm. I think it's so cool.
[01:08:55] Megan: yeah, yeah. And I mean, I think, I think that's something that's glamorized [01:09:00] right now, too, right, is that more mobile nomadic lifestyle. And I know before we had kids, that's something Aaron and I talked about, but since then, I'm like, how would we do that with kids? Like, that's such, and to do it on your own with your son, like, man, kudos to you.
[01:09:12] Megan: That's amazing.
[01:09:14] Rae: It's been scary like it's it was scary to like it's like it really speaks to me what you said said earlier about embracing authenticity and how that can be really scary because like that this was kind of like fell into that category for me was Like taking on just like the technical and mechanical like all the things that go along with You know like learning how to do something like i'm like You You know, it's, it's cool, though.
[01:09:35] Rae: It's cool on the other side to see like, oh, wow, I've learned a lot. I'm like, I'm doing this thing.
[01:09:41] Lauren: There you are.
[01:09:42] Rae: place to be. So I, and I think the step that allowed me to kind of get there was letting go of that idea of fear and scarcity and like, not being able to have enough or do enough or whatever.
[01:09:53] Rae: So,
[01:09:54] Lauren: And I think that's a, something that we've been talking about a lot this week. Like I personally with people have been talking about a lot this week [01:10:00] is like not trying something because of that fear, because of that scarcity, because of, Hey, I got to figure it out. I'm going to make mistakes along the way.
[01:10:09] Lauren: And you kind of know that. And it's like, that holds a lot of people back, you know, but I think the real power is in that movement of like, Hey, I'm just going to like make this decision because it's what feels right right now. And. I'm going to figure out along the way. And if it doesn't work out, like I thought it would like, okay, I get to change my mind or pivot or whatever.
[01:10:26] Lauren: And like, that's totally cool. You
[01:10:28] Rae: And, and honestly, for me, like, my biggest guiding principle right now in my life is like, if what, if I'm being motivated by fear, I'm not heading in the right direction.
[01:10:42] Lauren: Right.
[01:10:43] Rae: And I think, like, if we can dial it down, if we can dial it down to that for any decision, and sometimes it's hard to figure out whether we're being motivated by fear, because we have our conditioning, we have our programming, we have our trauma, we have things that have happened to us.
[01:10:56] Rae: Right. So it's like, oh, this isn't safe. But it's like, no, that is [01:11:00] a fear. Like, that's based in fear. And that's, and I think that that is really the question that I just keep asking myself at this juncture in life is like, is this fear? Because if it's fear, I don't want it. I want to make decisions from a place of like, alignment and like, and knowing within my own soul.
[01:11:16] Rae: I don't want to be motivated by fear. So that's kind of my like, guiding principle at this point.
[01:11:22] Megan: I love that so much. And so I'm going to go back after we get off and check our last episode with you, but as you started to answer that question, I feel like the way that you answered it last time is that you were letting go of fear and scarcity. So in the six months since then, like
[01:11:37] Rae: The arc
[01:11:37] Megan: you're doing it.
[01:11:38] Megan: Yeah. Yeah. Like just for anybody that's out there is like, you know, scared to take that. This is what it can look like.
[01:11:44] Rae: yeah. And it's been cool to see because I think it's, it doesn't, it's like I said at the very, very beginning of this, like, nothing happens overnight. We can't expect to see, like, we can't expect to see, like, the culmination of, like, new and full moon energy within a two week period of time. Like, it takes time for these lessons to, like, take root for us [01:12:00] to take action for us to do the things, but, like, the changes we can make.
[01:12:04] Rae: are tangible. We just we have to like be willing to do that. Do the work.
[01:12:09] Megan: Absolutely.
[01:12:10] Lauren: really good experiment though. Now that, you know, now I'm really thinking about this, you know, if fear is what's again, like controlling your decision or involved, Right. It's kind of like, do I do the opposite then? You know what I mean? Or whatever. Like, if we can just let go of that, you know what I mean?
[01:12:28] Lauren: And like, really operate from that place. Like, I would love to see, do it for a day, do it for a week, do it for a month, see where we go from there. Like, that's actually
[01:12:40] Rae: And it can be, it can be an exercise to determine whether you're being motivated by fear or your intuition, because like your intuition is like a gut feeling. It's like a gut knowing inside yourself. But I think, I think this is also part of why it's like important for us to [01:13:00] like, you know, Do you work on ourselves?
[01:13:03] Rae: Because it's like we have to like confront the things that maybe have been programmed or that we've like, you know, learned from our childhood or that we like things that have happened to us that have basically taught us, like to fear and to have these fears. And I think we have to like confront some of those things to be able to let go of that fear.
[01:13:23] Rae: Because I think just straight up going into it and being like, I'm not going to be afraid, like, I'm That's not really how it works. Like, you have to actually, you have to actually
[01:13:30] Lauren: lean in,
[01:13:31] Rae: those things.
[01:13:32] Megan: Yeah.
[01:13:33] Rae: and you have to be able, you have to be willing to like, Go under the surface and like do that work and that's that's again It ties back in with what we've been talking about ties back in with like the idea of death and rebirth the idea of like Journeying to the underworld that's literally what the journey to the underworld is like in a personal growth and like spiritual sense is like willing to dig underneath the surface and be like Where is this truly coming from?
[01:13:54] Rae: Like, what's my motivation here? So
[01:13:58] Lauren: So awesome. Well, [01:14:00] thank you again for, yeah. Thank you for coming on again. I absolutely loved it. I mean, I could talk about this shit like all day for today.
[01:14:09] Rae: we'll have to do another one. Honestly, we should do one where we talk to you about like astrology and human design, because you guys got me interested in human design. And I've looked at that and been like, kind of getting into that a little bit over the past, actually six months,
[01:14:21] Megan: Oh, really?
[01:14:22] Rae: yeah, I haven't like, I haven't like got become an expert by any means, but I've like, I've become really interested in it.
[01:14:28] Rae: And there's definitely parallels between
[01:14:30] Lauren: Oh, a hundred percent.
[01:14:32] Megan: Mm hmm. Yeah. We love it. So, I, I mean, I would definitely love to do that. And we can't wait six months next time.
[01:14:38] Rae: Okay,
[01:14:39] Lauren: Yeah. Let's not do
[01:14:40] Rae: all right, that
[01:14:40] Lauren: Let's have you on at least once a quarter, right? Let's make
[01:14:43] Megan: Yes.
[01:14:44] Lauren: All
[01:14:47] Megan: Awesome. All right, everybody. We'll see you next time. Bye.
[01:14:50] Rae: bye.
