00:00:06
Speaker 1: Good evening, swear and welcome to another emergency edition of the Not Dumps podcast on the Athletic Network. It's still Sunday, February second, twenty twenty five. I'm Jay Skates here in the yard and joining me. Thanks to the power of technology, it's task Melus.
00:00:24
Speaker 2: Yes, two trades, one day.
00:00:28
Speaker 3: Woo.
00:00:29
Speaker 1: Also here on screen, it's the Beard one, a top shot boy trade Kirbie eh Ay and in the background making the magic happy. We got super producer jd. Yeah. Wow, we're back. We were in the factory, now we're in the yard. Same day, two trades. It's amazing. I know it's been a busy day for the Southern lawyer, but let's test his energy levels. Here we go.
00:01:00
Speaker 4: He got all sails.
00:01:01
Speaker 3: It tiny horse, just a little miniature horse. Well, I've been ruined this one for years.
00:01:15
Speaker 4: Yeah, you have raising it up from a young full to a full grown trade.
00:01:23
Speaker 1: I just realized that Nikola Jokic must love our podcast. All the horse talking we're doing here today. Yeah, the NBA's second blockbuster trade is here. Deer and Fox heading to the San Antonio Spurs and a three team deal that will send Zach Levine to Sacramento. We've got the full detail. So Spurs get Fox, they get Jordan McLaughlin, the Kings get Zach Levine CD soisoko three first round picks, it's actually two first round picks, we'll explain, and then three second round picks. It's actually five second round picks. The Bulls they get Zach Collins, Trey Jones, Kevin Herder and their own twenty twenty five pick coming back from the Spurs. So yes, Fox obviously the key piece. He goes to the Spurs, he teams up with Wemby, tasks and they didn't have to give up any of the guys. We thought maybe it would take right, Devin Missell, Keldon Johnson. You know, there was some Chris Paul talk in the end. I mean, it's it's Zach Collins, it's Trey Jones. It's really not a whole lot. It's more sort of pick oriented. But what do you think starting with the Spurs getting Fox to team with Wemby.
00:02:41
Speaker 2: Here, I'm excited for Fox and Wemby. I am excited for the picking and the rolling. I think Fox is a good pick and roll ballhandler. You look at the stats and he is quite good in terms of scoring, they're like Jalen Brunson, Jay Gilges, Alexander like point per possession numbers. When he's ball handling. Now, he doesn't do it as much as those other guys because the ball goes through Demata Sabonis all the time, but he is extremely efficient and that shooting percentage is shock. He's fifty four percent when he's a pick and roll ball handler. And now what he's playing with Wemby, I think it's going to get him better because all the pressure, all the eyes are going to be on Wemby, and I think that's just a great combo. Yeah, you said they didn't have to give up any of those guys, So even in the near future, whether it be these next four days or the summer, they will potentially be looking at dealing guys like you mentioned Kelvin Johnson, maybe down the road, den Vesel Jeremy Sohannah. Harry Barnes is still an old guy they have there. They won't trade Stefan Castle. I don't think this is the clear winner for me. We've got two trades in one day, two very clear winners. I'm excited to see those guys work together. I think they will be very good. I know we talked about it briefly a while ago that dearon Fox isn't a shooter, that being I mean, he's had a couple of good seasons, like thirty seven percent seasons from three point Land and now again with all the pressure, all the focus being on Wemby. I like what the Spurs did. I don't care what they gave up Picks. That picks thing is in the past. They gave up to Jeante Murray in twenty twenty two so they could get bad. They did, They got it. They're done with the Wemby pick, so I'm excited for them. For the other teams, well, that's a whole other story.
00:04:24
Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, we definitely got to hear from the Bulls fan Trey Kirby and the Hall they got back and what they did. But TK, I would love to hear your opinion on the Fox part of this all. And yeah, no Castle, none of their other younger guys having to be shipped out, and they now get the pair of this twenty seven year old, very talented point guard with you know, probably the future MVP and WOMANOA.
00:04:46
Speaker 5: Well, first and foremost, I'm so happy you called this a blockbuster. We had Lukadancs traded for Anthony Davis. I thought that maybe had changed the bar for this, but we do have two all stars changing teams. Yeah, and Tassa is right.
00:04:59
Speaker 4: This is an absolute home run for the Spurs.
00:05:01
Speaker 5: I've got a lot more concerns about the fit of Fox with Wemby, but Fox is the guy who was available, and they gave up one asset that had real value here, and that's the Minnesota pick in twenty thirty one. That's not their pick. They kept the Sacramento pick swap in twenty thirty one. They could still benefit from a bad Kings team down the line. They kept the Hawks picks, which I think is huge, getting the you know, their unprotected pick this year, the swap next year, the unprotected pick year after that, and then they didn't have to give up Castle, they didn't have to give up the Cell. They still have a Kelvin Johnson contract that they could move if they wanted to. The Spurs still have enough assets to go and get the next guy around Fox, around Wemby and the young core that they think they're building, even if it's not an ideal fit next to Fox and who knows, like, let's see how Wemby progresses playing with a point guard like Fox. Let's see how Fox progresses playing with the guy like Wemby, who is going to be drawing so much attention. This is an awesome trade for San Antonio. It raises their talent level, It gives them a chance to make a real run at getting into the playoffs this year, and that just gives Victor experience in the most high leverage of moments.
00:06:15
Speaker 4: This is a banger for the Spurs.
00:06:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you guys one hundred percent. I mean, I love Dearon Fox. I always have. You know, he gets overlooked playing for the Sacramento Kings, but then help them get to their first playoff appearance in sixteen seventeen years whatever. It was like the longest playoff trout, not just in the NBA, but like across all four major American sports. He ranks in top ten and everything. So I'm happy to see him paired with Wembinyama here in the San Antonio. But that pick, I just want to clarify for a one because I see some people in the comments like, what are you talking about? Isn't it three first round picks. The reason I was joking about that is that Charlotte first rounder the Kings received is protected one through fourteen in twenty twenty five, which means it's not going to convey. Right, Charlotte has what the fourth worst record I think in the league. Like it's it's not conveying, and that means the Hornets will instead send them their twenty six and twenty seven second round pick. So really instead of a three first round picks and three second round picks, it's like more of a two to five scenario. Just to clarify that for everyone. But TK, let's get your, you know, Bull's opinion on the matter. Here at what comes back and zach Lavine obviously finally being moved. You've been putting in work on our goddamn podcast for your feels like years in trying to trade Zach Lavine and or Niko Lavucevic. So you got one of them gone, and we'll see about Vucci in the coming days.
00:07:38
Speaker 5: What do you think even back in twenty twenty two, the twenty one to twenty two season was the most fun.
00:07:44
Speaker 4: Bull season of zach Lavine's career.
00:07:46
Speaker 5: There it's when they had the great start they were in first place through January. They started tailing off by the trade deadline and people were like, should they blow this team up? They kept it together for another three years. Six months ago, zach Lavine lost the Bulls picks to get off of his contract, which runs through the twenty twenty seven season. Assuming he picks up his player option. They're getting off of it now. That is a huge win. It was beyond time to move on from zach Lavine. I'll be sad to see him go. I've been a fan of his since he was in Minnesota. I liked him on the Bulls. He played for some terrible, terrible teams. He got ripped off in the twenty twenty All Star Game when he didn't get named to the All Star team even though it was in Chicago, because the team was so bad and they ran a joke of a coach out there. He was a great guy to have it during some bad years for Chicago. It is good to see him have a chance to try and win alongside DeRozan. It obviously didn't work, so I don't think that getting the pick back is all that much to get excited about. From the Spurs, it was a top ten protected pick. Most likely they were going to keep it this year regardless. However, it does free them up to tank next season. And you look at the collection of dudes who is going to be left on this Bulls team. I don't think they're going to be very good in the second half. So they're gonna be in the lottery this year. They're gonna look crazy next year. I'm sure the plan is to try and be active in the free agent market in twenty twenty six. So whichever washed up free agent is a little bit past their prime, come to Chicago twenty twenty six. We'll see you then. I think this is at least neutral for the Bulls. It could have been bad in the past, it could have cost them, but now they're kind of getting back to zero and hopefully they're gonna get lucky in one of these lotteries and not just end up picking seventh every single season like the last time they went half in on a rebuild. The next key for them is moving guys like Vooch, maybe Lonzo, maybe Kobe White. Because the Bulls, you love it to see it, once again, did not get any extra picks in this deal. They got one pick back, which is nice, but they didn't add to the asset chests, so hopefully they're able to do that sometime in the next couple of days here, because this at least signals the direction they're going for this season, which is not gonna be good.
00:10:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, Schumann here in the in the stream team saying, the Bulls still in the play in club, but they've been holding the door wide open for the Sixers for a few weeks now.
00:10:11
Speaker 2: Don't forget those Raptors.
00:10:15
Speaker 1: Jesus test still believe they're hot, babe, they would.
00:10:18
Speaker 2: Bulls are falling out, that's for sure.
00:10:20
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:10:20
Speaker 3: Wow.
00:10:21
Speaker 5: Honestly, Sixers and Raptors I think could potentially catch the Hawks and the Bulls. You know, depending on how the second half of the season goes. They're more incentivized to play well in the second half of the season.
00:10:32
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, task from the bull side of things. Before we can then, of course talk about the Kings here, like, well, what do you think and the roster? You were laughing when talked about the roster because also I love these three players going back to the Bulls. Uh, I don't believe Trey Kirby is all that fond of in Collins trade Jones and Zach Collins, but tats, what do you think that?
00:10:52
Speaker 2: Wow, the Bulls are ready to tank, baby, and maybe we'll be calling another trade of blockbuster if they trade Nikolovucevic, you know, in the next four days or so, because I think that's the only direction that they're going, which is what they gotta do. They just got to get bad, and it's official. It is going to happen. Because there are so many good Eastern Conference team I'm sorry, they're good. There's a bunch of good teams. There's a bunch of bad teams. And the Bulls were slightly in danger of beating up the bad teams and maybe getting rid of their pick. Maybe maybe uh, and so now at least they're going to hold on to their pick. This is this is good news. This is good news that they're just getting bad. It was a real, real short run. I think you can start to look in the past now of the the Levigne, Lonzo Lavouch, the Deroz and the try. The tries.
00:11:46
Speaker 4: It was.
00:11:46
Speaker 2: It was an admirable try. It was good for a literally like a month, but now it's dead and it was good for three months. Yeah, it was half a season. It's true, it feels short than it was, but yeah, this is this is the right direction for them. They had to do it, and even though Zach Lavine was having a really, really good season, it is a little like we talked about Fox, it kind of flies under the radar because of the teams that he plays on and the lack of playoff experience he's had with Minnesota doubles and now going to Sacramento. It's it's sad stuff.
00:12:26
Speaker 4: Yeah, let me tell you, I'm so happy.
00:12:27
Speaker 5: During the twenty twenty two season, I flew back for the Bulls Game three playoff game. It was their first time in the playoffs in five years. They haven't been back since, and it's gonna be how many more years until the Bulls are backsniff in the playoffs. I feel like that was money well spent to see.
00:12:46
Speaker 2: Rush.
00:12:47
Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, bro, they got destroyed and that was the good days. Those are the good days, skeets.
00:12:53
Speaker 1: Don't worry. I flew home to Toronto for many of those Raptors playoff games, a lot of game ones, if I recall, where they lost in glorious fashion. So I feel you're paid. Yeah, but Levine, I mean, what a bounce back season. I mean, he did build his trade value up a little bit. He was averaging twenty four points per game, like five and four and a half, shooting really good, fifty one percent from the field, like forty five percent from three. Guy takes a lot too. But it's that contract. I mean, he is owed forty six million dollars next year, and then he had that forty nine million dollar player option for the twenty six twenty seven season. So you know, he's I don't know, he feels so much older to me too, you know, he's just I guess we've talked about Zach Levine for so long, but he is. He's only twenty nine. I mean, he's in his prime right now, and he's playing really well.
00:13:41
Speaker 2: But he's been in a great, great four playoff games in his career, and I guess Trey you saw one that was that was the only series of his playoff series of his career, which is bonkers when you think about how long he's been around.
00:13:56
Speaker 4: Yeah.
00:13:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, Bolves to the Bulls, to the Kings.
00:13:59
Speaker 5: Now they beat the Bucks in Milwaukee. Though they beat them to Milwaukee, Chris Middleton was hurt. People were talking them up. Hey, maybe they're gonna be able to steal one here, so they didn't steal one.
00:14:13
Speaker 1: Let's talk about Sacramento here. I mean, obviously the picks are the key part, but Zach Levine is a piece here and reuniting Zach Lavine and Demarto Rosen. I joked with you guys before we went live, I was like, for weeks, for months, honestly, for years, I'm always comparing the Sacramento Kings to the Atlanta Hawks. But I think they got upset by hearing that, and they're like, we don't want to be the Hawks skeets. We'll be the Bulls instead, because they're pairing some old bulls here, at least for now tasks. But what do you think from Sacramento side of things in this three team deal?
00:14:47
Speaker 2: It was a point that they had to move on from dearon Fox. It just didn't feel like he wanted to be there. And we saw the way that they play their last couple games against Okay, see where they gave up one hundred and forty four points. Okay, that's expected, and they lost to Philly even before that, it just feels like it was done. It was dead. The life from that team the defense that they were playing for. Doug was over. Doug Christy didn't have this team on the same level. It was over. They had to make a move. That being said, it's a pretty laterally ish move. I don't I feel excited about them whatsoever. It feels like the rotation is almost essentially the same. I mean, Darren Fox is removed for Lavigne to play beside League Monk, Derozen Keegan and Sabonis in that starting five. Not all that exciting, to be quite honest. So it's they get rid of a guy who is such a good player to move on to Zach again, who is having a good year. The numbers are ridiculous with what Zach is doing as a complimentary guy, but it's not a team that has enough of lead guys at this point. I just don't know who they're gonna be. Yeah, maybe the first round picks workout. They are saving some money. Actually know it sounds crazy that they're saving money, but getting rid of Fox plus herders sixteen million plus McLaughlin, they're saving about eight million bucks here, which is probably what they're looking at here. It just feels like they didn't want to play together. It looked that way on the floor here towards the end of their road trip, and they had to do something. But again, I'm not I'm not all that excited for game to game how it's all going to work, especially in this Western Conference. If we were talking about an Eastern Conference playing picture, it would be different. But is this team going to be that good?
00:16:34
Speaker 4: They would be. They would be the bulls in the Yeah.
00:16:36
Speaker 2: Yeah, but they would be going for the playing spot and not tanking. I think I think the Sabonis thing, they would know who they are. You know, Fox doesn't get any credit for playing defense. I think he's a pretty solid defender that Sacramento is going to be excited for. This Sacramento Kings team is just going to be a team that scores, but not going to be able to play great d all that much. I mean, Eagan's decent, but it just feels like a team that's gonna maybe outscore you, maybe make the play in and that's about it.
00:17:06
Speaker 5: Trey, I think they're the bulls West. It's Zach, it's Dumar, and it's Vouch. But guess what booch is blonde now and his name is Demonta Sabonis. The exact same team a week. Monk, you're Kobe White, Patrick Williams, you'r Kegan Murray. It all goes perfectly. Kean Ellis, guess what, you're Alex Caruso. It's the exact same team. They're going to be in the play in there. Fox had a place he wanted to go. Everybody knew he wanted to go to the Spurs. As we're seeing here, players often get their way, even if sometimes they're surprised. So he had his list and that met The Spurs weren't going to be able or we're gonna be able to keep their price down right, So they didn't have to throw in Castle, they didn't have to throw in Visel, they didn't have to throw in any of these Hawks picks. So the Kings get what is a pretty decent return. I'll say they get a two time All Star who's on this big contract, but he's playing really well right now. They can pitch it as three first round picks. I do think the Minnesota or twenty thirty one pick could be pretty juicy down the line. Yeah, but they had to trade Fox. The riding was on the wall. They're doing it eighteen months ahead of time, So this is probably the best return they were going to get. It's just not that much to get excited about because we literally just saw three years of this with the Bulls and that's the easier conference.
00:18:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that is an issue when you're in the Western Conference and where they are right now, they're hanging on to the Tennessee the Sacrament of Kings. As of obviously going live here on Sunday night, they're exactly five hundred, so very hawk's like twenty four and twenty four. But now, I mean a question here, tass is you know the the Spurs were reeling at like they started hot, they were surprising a lot of teams, and then they did plateau a little bit and then started sort of going the other direction, like especially in twenty twenty five. You know they've dipped to twenty one and twenty five. Now do you think this injection of Fox though, with that team keeping all their key pieces of obviously with Wemby as a star, like, are they going to like sort of leapfrog Warriors leapfrog Kings, Like do you think they have enough to get into meaningful play in games to give you some experience for Wemby or is it more likely you think these more sort of veteran teams, been there, done that still find their way into those playing spots.
00:19:17
Speaker 2: It is super close. I don't think they get in there, but it's going to be super close. I do feel like the Kings, whether they get there or not, they just missed out on getting somebody from the Spurs for Fox. If they were able to squeeze somebody like a Stefan Castle, which the Spurs were not going to do, I mean that would feel like they're winning something here. It's going to be borderline. Although hearing this tweet from Brian Woodhurst, who just wrote about Jimmy Butler potentially being traded, he wrote, the Heats Jimmy Butler has communicated to the Warriors that he's unwilling to sign an extension and there and therefore trade talks to send him to Gold State have ended for now, sources told ESPN.
00:20:08
Speaker 1: Now, remember when Zach Levine was maybe going to the Warriors, could still be Vucevic.
00:20:13
Speaker 2: Mmm, so if the war if the if the Warriors big piece that they're going to get is Vouch, it's going to be a heck of a race for that ten seed. I mean really that. I think the top nine or are pretty locked, but far.
00:20:31
Speaker 5: The Spurs from the eighth seed, because that, to me is what the goal should be for them in the second half of the season, because if they get up to the eighth seed in the standings, that means they get two guaranteed playing games regardless of how it goes.
00:20:43
Speaker 4: Would be humongous.
00:20:44
Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that right now, Come on, ADM Deer and Fox with giving up nothing like I mean, Zach Collins is a he played in their rotation, but Sohan can take his minutes, maybe they find another depth piece as a big man. Uh Trey Jones was a point guard for him, but obviously those minutes are going to go to Fox. Here, they still have all these extra picks that they could make a move for. I don't think it's unreasonable that san Antonio makes a run here. And to me, the goal should be the eighth seed because that would be nice to get a little bit of experience. Look at how it paid off for the Grizzlies, Look at how it paid off for shakeg Just Alexander and the Oklahoma Sydney Thunder playing in those high leverage games.
00:21:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure, they could they've got a really weird home road balance that they have played such a light schedule on the road that they've got a ton to make up for. But that being said, yeah they could get in there. It's it's a race though. There's so many good teams. It's gonna come down to the wire.
00:21:40
Speaker 1: I think, Man, this is still a lot of weird season from Sacramento when you think back to the like Fox blunder in that game right after Christmas and then gets called out by it sort of by Mike Brown, and then like the fallout from that, and I know there was already like probably some you know, organizational like mistrust Fox and his camp felt with them, and yeah, the whole like now we don't want to do the contract extension. It's just like so they can the coach. And then Doug gets someone like a seven. They lose the first one and then like going a seven game win streak, and like then all the Fox trade room as sort of quieted there for a little bit, and then they ramp back up. Of course with these recent like hey, he wants to go to San Antonio, like he wants to play there and there's some interest there. What's it gonna take oh Castle, let's selle. You know, we're like, oh, it's gonna be something like that, and in the end for it to be none of that. Man, And and like Trey said, even like not even like the sexy sexy picks. Even pretty impressive work here by the Spurs to add this guy. And now you just find out for what a year and a half, like how how he fits? What's his demeanor? Like, you know, like how does he slot in with Wemby and these other guys? Like pretty incredible.
00:22:48
Speaker 2: And he gets at least half a season being with Chris Paul And you know that's just a little bonus.
00:22:55
Speaker 1: Sure, yeah, yeah, it's a good point, all right. Well, any any other thoughts here on the three team deal? And if you guys are just joining us for the first time, we go daily here at no Dunk, so hit the like button subscribe podcast listeners leave us a five star rating and review. Make sure you go check out our emergency podcast from this morning on Luca getting traded to the Lakers. Yeah, any other thoughts on this Fox Lavine? I guess you say, Zach Collins deal. I don't know who you pick there? Going to the Bulls I guess I don't know.
00:23:28
Speaker 5: To Zach's and the sack deal. Huh to Zach's in a sack?
00:23:35
Speaker 4: Okay.
00:23:37
Speaker 5: A lot of Bulls fans are excited because it feels like getting this pick back from the Spurs, which also did have protections attached to it for next season and the season after twenty six and twenty seven. I suppose getting it back means those protections are gone as well, So even if they were to keep the pick this year, that would have factored in next year. This allegedly gives the Bulls leeway to tank right like they don't have to be. They would have been incentivized to tank next year, you know, keeping the pick if it's top eight protected. But hopefully this means they are choosing that direction. You can never be sure with the right We're not sure what they need to do, so.
00:24:15
Speaker 4: I'm gonna learn.
00:24:16
Speaker 5: I'm not ready to fully cast my lot with this trade yet because I want to see what they do next. I want to see if they're able to get any sort of return for vouch Lonzo, Kobe, maybe Io Dessume, depending on who is interested.
00:24:31
Speaker 4: I don't think anybody should be.
00:24:33
Speaker 5: Untouchable except for Mantus buzzellis he's the guy right now because it feels like this could be the first move of many for the Bulls. They've been reporting out of Chicago that they might not be done, and I hope that is the case. We shall see you just never know. It'd be nice to get a pick back here there.
00:24:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, And I guess the Bulls, I believe, have to waive some guys here, right.
00:24:56
Speaker 4: They got a lot of guys completed.
00:24:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, so I think you know. The front runners to be waived are Tail and Horton Tucker, Chris Duarte is on the Bulls, Tory Craig. So I guess a couple guys if somebody will have a couple guys have to be waved at least as this currently stands, and I guess have to.
00:25:15
Speaker 5: I should also be excited. I don't off the top of my head, I don't know if the Bulls have adaver had a player named Trey and they just traded.
00:25:21
Speaker 1: For one Trey Jones.
00:25:23
Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, to get a trade Jones Jersey.
00:25:26
Speaker 1: Geez, that'd be very cool, very cool.
00:25:29
Speaker 5: Super cool man, super cool. That's what has me watching the second half of the season.
00:25:34
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's right, they did this for you.
00:25:37
Speaker 4: Task.
00:25:37
Speaker 1: Any final thoughts here before we jump on the on the horn again and do it all again tomorrow morning.
00:25:43
Speaker 2: Well, I'm just looking at the standings in the Eastern Conference and it is great for the Bulls to pick a direction which is down in the standings for once, and it is wild to see them intent and the tront Raptors at sixteen and thirty three, literally I'm thinking about them making the play in at this Toronto Raptors team sitting in twelfth, at sixteen and thirty three, They've got the easiest schedule the rest of the way in terms of strength of schedule. Go, Yeah, they could do it. And it is true that with Jalen Johnson's injury in Atlanta them in the ninth, the Bulls and tenth they could literally fall down and Philly and Toronto could take their spots. Yeah, in the play. The Toronto Raptors are sixteen and thirty three and they I mean, it's obviously they got to win a lot more games, but they are definitely still alive to make it. And Philly's you know, playing better even though and Beads not back at this point. But yeah, we watched the Toronto Raptors team today as they they bowed the American national anthem before their game before they beat the Los Angeles Clippers at home. They beat their old Kawhi. Yeah, things are changing and for the next thirty to thirty five games here in the Eastern Conference, it's it's good for the bulls though. They picked a they picked a direction, that is for sure.
00:27:06
Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, So who's the next big name to be traded? And will it be uh considered a blockbuster? I got, like, I guess, I mean the Luca the Lakers with ad to going to the mass like that was that's almost that was more than a blockbuster. Yeah, that was like we said, it was the craziest trade of all time, like the most stunning, most shocking. That's like a mega trade, right, those are two. You know, when when when Luca is named to the top one hundred players of all time, that's two top one hundred players of all time. This one, like you said, blockbuster all stars being moved around.
00:27:40
Speaker 4: I think that's fair.
00:27:42
Speaker 1: I guess Vucci if just moved for not an All Star, it's not blockbuster gym all right, No, it's just a trade.
00:27:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, Boch going for a second round draft pick. Is that a blockbuster?
00:27:57
Speaker 2: I don't know.
00:27:59
Speaker 5: If a Jimmy Butler and Bradley Beale involved the trade goes down, would you consider that a blockbuster?
00:28:07
Speaker 4: Yeah, if both all stars.
00:28:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, if Jimmy gets moved, If Jimmy gets moved to a team that like you're like, whoa, that team's now a player to like compete in the playoffs and maybe compete for a championship or whatever, like get back into the mix. To me, that's a blockbuster. That's a that's a game changing trade. If Brandon Ingram gets traded to the Raptors, you know, of course, depending on who, but it's not going to be for like Scottie Burns or anything like that. Like, I don't know, I don't think that constitutes a blockbuster, But I'll tell you what we'll be doing an emergency podcast regard.
00:28:39
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, it sure felt like Jimmy Butler to this SUNS was happening. But to hear this Brian Woodhurst tidbit here that he's told that the Golden State Warriors that he ain't sign any an extension there first, What why wouldn't you sign an extension with the Golden Warriors and play with Stephan Draymond. If that's the case in.
00:29:02
Speaker 1: Terms of it wants to do the trade in Phoenix.
00:29:05
Speaker 2: I guess so. But the second thing I want to say is, I guess it's not a lock. The fact that these little tidbits are coming out. It's not a lock that he's going to the Phoenix Suns. And it sure felt that way. Who knows, but yeah.
00:29:19
Speaker 1: Bradley Beal my friend all the cards.
00:29:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, when he heard about the Luca trade, he was on the bench with Kevin Durant and Kevin Durant was telling him. He kind of immediately looked away like he didn't he didn't want to hear about a trade. It seems like I don't. I don't like hearing about trades. It's like he doesn't want It felt like to me, like, nah, it ain't my thing, man, I don't want to be dope. I just want to be here sitting here in the twelfth seat of the bench. It didn't didn't feel like it was happening. I'm body languaging, that's one hundred percent sure. But one all I know is.
00:29:52
Speaker 1: Right now, as we build up to the trade, deadline on Thursday. With these two blockbusters or big ass deals that we had today, feel I feel like that referee from that clip where the boxers are fighting, he's oh oh, and you're like, oh, hell yeah, You're like, the NBA is back, baby, super Bowl what? Grammy's what? Who gives a shit? Got a deal?
00:30:14
Speaker 4: I appreciate it.
00:30:15
Speaker 5: I feel like a lot of people were calling conspiracy with the Luca to the Lakers earlier today, but I'll say this, I'll buy into this conspiracy. Adam Silver said first Sunday, No NFL in months, two trades in.
00:30:30
Speaker 4: Call him in, Boyce, call him in. Joe Dumars, Joe Dumars, Joe Dumars.
00:30:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, well, good.
00:30:39
Speaker 4: Job at him.
00:30:41
Speaker 1: Salute to you, Yes, salute to you. Uh. Let's call it there. Let's hear from everybody in the stream.
00:30:46
Speaker 5: Team.
00:30:47
Speaker 1: Obviously, drop your opinions in the YouTube comments. Who won this three team deal? Just for those coming in late obviously, Daron Fox to the Spurs, Zach Levine to the Kings. Those are the key players in this move. To your thoughts. We'll be back tomorrow morning unless another crazy trade happens. Nless Jimmy Butler in the next hour or two gets traded to the Warriors or Suns or somewhere. We'll be back tomorrow morning at ten am Eastern UH to talk about the Luca trade, a little bit more to talk about this trade, a little bit more to do some weekend winners and losers. So hopefully you'll join us, then hit the like button, subscribe, leave us a five star rating and review. Until then, Clipper Roads.
00:31:24
Speaker 4: You heard it here first, have a great time, turn up. Love you guys awesome.
00:31:28
Speaker 2: Thanks for joining us, and remember we will be in the Classic Factory on Monday, and Danielle, we'll be extremely happy about that because while we were doing this podcast, I got a text that said, you are so loud.
00:31:43
Speaker 1: Oh Danny's wait time come on. It brings the night people.
00:31:53
Speaker 3: The open.
00:31:55
Speaker 4: She takes fun and no one knows.
00:31:59
Speaker 3: Sweet Air
