#1125 What if a few small changes to how you market and monetize your app could triple its revenue? In Part 2 of this two-part episode, Brien Gearin continues his conversation with App Masters founder Steve P. Young to break down what happens after you’ve validated an app idea and are ready to get users and make money. Steve shares how to use App Store Optimization and Apple Ads to test demand, what conversion benchmarks to watch, and why pricing and subscription structure can have a massive impact on revenue — including how switching one app to a weekly plan helped triple its earnings. Discover why Steve recommends mastering just one or two acquisition channels instead of trying to be everywhere, how to choose between ASO, Apple Ads, Meta, and TikTok, and why patience and leaning into your unique strengths may be the smartest way to build a profitable app business!
What we discuss with Steve:
+ App Store Optimization (ASO)
+ Using Apple Ads
+ Testing product-market fit
+ App conversion benchmarks
+ Lifetime vs. subscription pricing
+ Weekly vs. yearly plans
+ Choosing acquisition channels
+ ASO vs. social ads
+ Mastering one channel first
+ Playing to your strengths
Thank you, Steve!
