This Needs to Change

Cutter Boley’s split performances are raising questions about Arizona State’s play-calling and second-half strategy, with a stark drop from a 66.7% completion rate and 7 touchdowns in opening halves to diminished numbers after halftime. Is the Sun Devils’ coaching staff squandering leads by playing it safe, or can they recapture the aggressive adjustments that defined recent seasons against teams like Texas and Mississippi State?

With Khamari Anderson sidelined, the spotlight shifts to tight end AJ Ia to boost both blocking and receiving roles, supplementing a battered offensive line and giving Boley more passing options downfield. Will the emergence of Anthony Miller and the reliability of James Giggey help revitalize the Sun Devils’ offense, or does Arizona State risk falling into predictable second-half slumps? All eyes turn to next week’s performance and whether adjustments can spark a turnaround.
