DECISION: Case Keenum OR Tyson Bagent BEST Option At Backup QB, TACKLE Job UP For Grabs

Backup uncertainty clouds the Chicago Bears as Tyson Bagent’s preseason hamstring injury pushes Case Keenum to the forefront behind Caleb Williams. Is the seasoned journeyman the safer bet under Ben Johnson’s system, or could Bagent’s absence from preseason action come back to haunt the team? The relentless pace of NFL depth chart battles means every snap counts, especially for quarterbacks preparing to step up at a moment’s notice.

Meanwhile, the left tackle spot remains a pressing concern. Braxton Jones’ ongoing health issues force the Bears to experiment with Theo Benedet and shift Jedrick Wills Jr. and Kiran Amegadje to new positions. With Ozzy Trapilo still recovering and joint practice struggles raising questions about depth, can the offensive line keep Caleb Williams protected in Week 1? The battle for the swing tackle role and the future of Chicago’s frontline protection make this a preseason storyline fans can’t ignore.
