MENGENAI EPISOD INI
What does it mean to have a voice but not fully use it? And how many of us are already influencing the people and communities around us without recognizing the weight of that influence?
Host Tina Eliana sits down with Lesley George of Mosaic Inc. It’s a candid, funny, deeply human conversation about voice, purpose, courage, confidence, culture, community, storytelling, legacy, and showing up.
Because having a voice and using it are not the same thing.
Lesley George is an entrepreneur, speaker, author, publisher, and founder of Mosaic Inc. whose work encourages people to recognize and amplify the gifts, experiences, stories, and brilliance they already carry.
In this conversation, she brings that work into a personal discussion about using your voice when the room is uncomfortable, the outcome is uncertain, or your confidence has not caught up with your capability.
Lesley speaks candidly about having the work, building the relationships, being known for what you do, and still shrinking when it is time to show up. She shares a professional experience that changed how she understood voice, confidence, personal brand, and the responsibility to stop making yourself smaller.
Tina and Lesley explore questions that reach far beyond a job title or professional platform:
- What is the difference between having a voice and actually using it?
- How do fear and uncomfortable rooms affect whether we speak up or shrink?
- What happens when we allow other people to define our purpose?
- How do culture and early experiences shape what we reveal, celebrate, or hide?
- What can Caribbean American identity teach us about belonging, pride, and community?
- Why do relationships matter to leadership and influence?
- How does storytelling help people recognize their own potential?
- What if the story you dismissed as ordinary becomes part of someone else’s legacy?
- What responsibility do we carry for the gifts and opportunities entrusted to us?
Recorded in honor of Caribbean American Heritage Month, this episode also explores Lesley’s Caribbean identity and how culture, belonging, relationships, and community shape confidence and influence.
The conversation moves through family, faith, purpose, Disney, storytelling, legacy, unexpected “downloads,” and learning to use your voice after moments when you did not. There are moments of vulnerability, laughter, and reflection that may make you reconsider the times you stayed quiet, waited for certainty, made yourself smaller, or assumed someone else had the authority to approve your path.
