From Assistant Store Manager to Senior District Manager with Ana Valentin

What does it look like to build a 12-year career at a self storage company—starting as an assistant manager and working your way up to senior district manager? In episode eleven of the Inside Extra Space Storage podcast, McKall Morris sits down with Ana Valentin, Senior District Manager for the Chicago market, to talk about overseeing properties, hiring for personality over credentials, and what happened when one of her stores caught fire.

Discover what Ana looks for when hiring and developing store teams, how she thinks about real-time crisis response, and why she believes being your authentic self at work is the reason she’s stayed at Extra Space for over a decade.
