Meet the wonderful improviser/coach and Rock star Patrick Short! We had a stimulating chat about his 39th year anniversary as a player with Comedy Sportz . He is also a much sought after Musical Director! For 32 years he ran the Comedy Sportz Portland. He is on the board of the Applied Improvisation Network. Music is an important part of Patrick's story and his joy in playing with bands. He is currently in a "Dad Band"! He described the history of Comedy Sportz with some great anecdoctes.
He is also on the Board of the Global Improv Initiative -https://www.globalimprovisation.com- and helped host their July 2026 Conference in Portland. He presented several workshops and shows inducing being the Music Director of Vision Euro, an improvised song battle.
Patrick is a beautiful soul and I plan on chatting with him again!
