MENGENAI EPISOD INI
In this episode of the For the Harvest podcast, Paul Worcester is joined by co-hosts John and David Worcester to unpack one of their most crucial topics: discovering, developing, and deploying harvesters for the kingdom. The team explores how to evaluate potential leaders using the F.A.I.T.H. acronym—Faithful, Available, Initiative, Teachable, and Heart for God and people. They dive deep into the life of Jesus to uncover His strategies for selecting the twelve apostles, noting that He bypassed the religious elite with the greatest resumes in favor of ordinary men who demonstrated faith, teachability, and action.
The conversation challenges modern ministry models that hoard talent and bottleneck leadership. The Worcesters explain why leaders must fight the "castle builder" mentality and embrace a "kingdom focus". They also tackle the fear of burnout in young leaders, introducing the "principle of the plate" to explain how God expands our capacity through faithful obedience.
Key Discussion Points:
- The F.A.I.T.H. filter for identifying and assessing future ministry leaders.
- How Jesus utilized real-life, on-the-job apprenticeship and short trips to train His disciples rather than traditional classroom settings.
- The "principle of the plate," which helps young leaders differentiate between actual burnout and God expanding their leadership capacity.
- Overcoming the selfishness of "castle building" that prevents churches from sending out their best leaders.
- Why discovering, developing, and deploying are not sequential stages, but rather simultaneous emphases happening throughout your ministry.
