Challenges Facing NZ's Construction Sector

Welcome to the Fix & Fly Podcast hosted by Larissa Logan from Fixity.

Our guest is Vicki Hill - Founder of Kiwi Cladding

Vicki shares her journey building a manufacturing business from the ground up in New Zealand — from the early days of backing herself with no industry experience, to navigating the challenges of running a factory, managing staff and competing in a market dominated by much larger players.

Vicki and Larissa also dig into the bigger picture facing the construction sector right now — from the slowdown in new builds and rising costs, to the pressures on local manufacturers trying to keep up with cheaper imports.Vicki shares how Kiwi Cladding is staying lean, managing costs and getting through one of this tough period.
