European Nights Revisited is back! 🌍🏆

This time, we’re rolling the tape back to February and March 2005 for one of the most memorable Champions League last-16 ties of the era: Chelsea vs Barcelona.

The first leg at the Camp Nou saw Barcelona come from behind to win 2-1, with Didier Drogba sent off in a controversial night in Spain. But it was the second leg at Stamford Bridge that became the real classic.

Chelsea produced a sensational 4-2 victory, overturning the tie on the night and progressing 5-4 on aggregate in a game packed with goals, drama and controversy.

We take a closer look at the José Mourinho Chelsea, including the influence of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Petr Čech, while also discussing the brilliance of Ronaldinho, who was already establishing himself as one of the greatest players in world football.

From Stamford Bridge under the lights to one of the most iconic moments of the early Champions League knockout stages, this is another European Night Revisited.
