The Getaway Plan / Amity Affliction (Clint Ellis)

In this episode of Creative Creatures, Key Telfer-Williams sits down at the Creative Creatures studio with longtime friend Clint Ellis — lead guitarist of The Getaway Plan and former guitarist of The Amity Affliction  to talk about growing up together through Melbourne’s music scene.

From local band rooms and early gigs alongside Key’s late brother Caz, to the rise of The Getaway Plan, touring internationally with The Amity Affliction, and eventually building a career composing music for film, trailers, and video games, Clint’s story is one of constant evolution.

This isn’t a standard music interview. It’s a candid conversation about creativity, friendship, pressure, grief, reinvention, and what happens when the dream career you chased as a teenager becomes reality.

The episode also reflects on the passing of Key’s late brother Caz, who was deeply connected to those early music years, friendships, and formative moments that helped shape an entire generation of Melbourne musicians.
