TEAMABILITY: What Is It Like to Work With You?
Being good at EMS isn’t just about what you can do...it’s about what it’s like to work with you.
In this episode of the Black Cloud Society Podcast, we explore Teamability, the final attribute from Rich Diviney’s The Attributes, and why great EMS crews do more than share a truck...they function as a unit.
We break down four foundations of teamability:
• Trust — Can your partner count on you?
• Humility — Can you admit when you don’t know, or you missed something?
• Interdependence — Can you work together without losing individual responsibility?
• Communication — Can you stay clear and effective when things get chaotic?
We’ll also look at how ego, sarcasm, silence, and poor communication can quietly erode a crew...and ultimately impact safety, learning, and patient care.
The challenge is simple:
What is it like to do this job with you?
Do people become better because you’re on the truck?
🎙️ Black Cloud Society Podcast — Stay sharp. Stay humble. Never stop chasing your why.
